Beautiful resort.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the grounds were very well kept. The food was amazing and we had no complaints with the buffet at all. The only issue was with our check-in and our maid service. When we arrived we had to wait in line to check in for one hour and not because the line was long but because several guests staying at the resort who were Mexican continually budded in front of us, slipped the counter staff some money and got served while we continued to wait to be served.  [... read more]With respect to the maid service, it was terrible. I was continually left with no toilet paper in my room and no towels. Despite advising the desk on numerous occasions, it continued to happen almost every day. Midway through my vacation, the maid took the comforter off my bed and never returned it despite my complaining to the front desk. I also did not realize when I booked this hotel that it was not on the beach and it would have been nice if the person I dealt with at trip central had informed me of that as I did not notice it on the website. As an aside, the bartenders were fantastic, most especially Jose at the lobby bar - he was great.

Very nice resort

The Turquesa is a very nice resort with a huge pool area. Friendly staff and decent food. The nightly entertainment was excellent. The beach is beautiful however this resort is the furthest from the beach at the Bahia property (there are several resorts on the property) and you need to take a trolly to get back and forth. We didn't realize this when we booked as the resort photos showed the beach area for the Turquesa ( a bit misleading). We may go back and pick a resort closer to the beach next [... read more] time. They need to enforce the "no reserving" haciendas! Folks were holding all the good spots with shoes and books...you name it. We sat and fried in the sun for hours at the beach one day while the good shaded seats were held with towels and nobody ever showed up. If I had my time back I would have thrown their stuff in a pile on the sand lol.

Amazing time at an incredible resort

All of the grounds were taken care of, facilities were all clean, our room was spacious and restaurants were nice. We enjoyed the fact that everything you could ever need was on the resort! You would never need to leave!

Very disapointed

We are a family of 4 with a 5 and 6 year old, we were there for 14 nights . Kids pool is great, food at the pool could be better, everyday hotdog with tortillas chips and process cheese!!! Transportation to the Beach is ok but there is no Schedule, sometime you can wait 30 minutes. Food at the turquesa is poor... other buffet Punta cana and Bavaro is ok, make sure you're booking alowes you to go to other buffet. Room size is ok and bed are confortable, but the all the linen as stained. Could not [... read more] use our sink all of our 2 weeks, we had to brush our teeth in the shower, we complained everyday, it got fixed on the last day.

Very disapointed

Family of four, 2 adult and 2 children 5 and 6 for 14 days Room: Good: good size room for a family, good mattress and close to waterpark Bad: ceiling was leaking in the bathroom took 2 days to get it fix, wall was dirty around toilet you could see drip of ... sink was clog we had to brush our teeth in the shower, it was unclog on day 10 but it leak on the floor so we had to put the garbage under the sink. Air transat personnal at the resort was not helpfull and did not want to be bothered. Food: The buffet at Turquesa is very small and repetetive, and not very good, everything is overcook, we had to pay to get a upgrade to have access to another buffet, they were better. Food at the waterpark is hot dog and chip, since there is mainly family they should add fruit and ice cream. If food is important to you choose another resort. Service: Not to friendly, if they don't want to serve you they say they don't understand an d walk away.

Amazing Resort!

Grounds were immaculate, the food was awesome, people were friendly and helpful and the entertainment was excellent! When we first arrived, late at about 10:45PM, we were greeted by a very helpful man who immediately got us help to help us with our bags and show us to our room. We loved it!!!!

We have nothing bad to say! The food was great, staff very friendly and helpful. Although it is a large resort we never felt like we were waiting or cramped. The rooms were lovely, very clean. There was always staff raking the beach to get rid of the seaweed. We would go back hands down!

Great Time!

The Grand Bahia Príncipe Turquesa is a fantastic resort. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the staff is continually working to keep the grounds looking pristine. It was nice to sit back and take in the beautiful scenery at the resort. There are always staff going around and cleaning up discarded items and garbage barely had a chance to hit the ground before it was picked up by one of the workers. Ever [... read more]ything worked well in our room, except that the line to the shower had a crack and the lower pressure sometimes made the shower button click off...not a big deal though. The food was great, but no different from other resorts we had been to in the Dominican, however, I feel that the food handling, safety and cleanliness were much better than at the other resorts, which may be why I did not get sick this year as opposed to the past two trips at other resorts. I recommend the Japanese restaurant (go for the teppanyaki!) and the Garden Grill (get the filet, not the ribeye). The Turquesa is the furthest part of the resort from the beach, but there was always a trolley there to whisk you off to the beach and you are really close to the entertainment in the Punta Cana and Bavaro lobbies...no trolley necessary. Since we were the end of the trolley route we always had seats on the trolley. By the time we were halfway to the beach in the morning the trolley was full. There were always seats available at the beach and lots of shaded areas to set up camp for the day. We ate lunch at the different beach buffets every day. No need to go back to the Turquesa to eat. However, I found the snack place at the Turquesa pool had better/fresher choices than the beach buffet, so sometimes I would wait until we went to our pool in the afternoon to have my lunch. The other good thing about the distance is that you do not get the noise from people coming home on the trolley all night. The trolley runs from 6AM until 3AM. I heard guests at the Punta Cana and Bavaro complain that they were awoken by the trolley at night. The trolleys do not come around the rooms at e Turquesa unless they are dropping off people who have just arrived. There was always some good going on at night for entertainment. If you didn't want to go to the show at night, which is also a short walk from the Turquesa, each lobby has other types of entertainment. We had a lot of fun at the dance party at the Bavaro lobby one night. We usually gathered there each night to have our post dinner Spanish coffees and Mojitos. The lobbies have self-serve coffee and tea available pretty much all day long. I went to the lobby each morning before breakfast (I am an early riser) to have a cappuccino before breakfast. Overall this is a great resort and I look forward to returning here soon!

Wonderful and amazing!

Since last year they have done some new settings at the lobby area. Beautiful new sitting area with white roofing and frill around! This allowed for more entertainment at this particular area! We received 1 hour of Internet instead of twenty minutes, on your own device. It is always kept clean. A big plus is in the new ride to beach, no more fumes, battery!

Now our favourite resort

This is the third resort we have stayed at in Punta Cana and it is the best and our favourite now. It is so clean, there is always someone cleaning or re-painting something. The staff is very friendly. The shuttle trams were plentiful, you never waited more than a minute or two for one to come by. There was plenty of entertainment in your home resort, or in free theatre, or other locations. Rooms were very clean and totally quiet. Resort was too big

Unfortunately the resort was too big especially travelling with a baby and young child. Shows were at the sister Resort which meant take 2 trolleys to get there. Even restaurants or walking 15 mins which with a baby isn't always the easiest. Many staff claimed they didn't know English when you asked them a question. Funny cuz I just heard them speaking English. When I called trip assets it took 4 hours to get a call back.

Spectacular resort!

The hotel was amazing! Great service! If I ever go to punta Cana again I would definitely stay at grand Bahia Príncipe turquesa! Our waiter Francisco was awesome! Thank you tripcentral for making my first vacation with my husband such a great one!

A great choice in Punta Cana

My first impression of this 5 star hotel was it was not lavish at its entry. The rooms and dining areas are functional and nice. The grounds and pool areas are well kept and you get a tropical feeling walking around. The drawback with its setting is that it is on a huge campus of 5 large hotels. It is the furthest one from the beach and you need a bus to get you to the beach! Hotels of this size can be too complicated and impersonal. The best ever had.

Beautiful place. Very clean, very colorful. Friendly stuff, acceable to the beaches all restaurants. Very tasty food, lots of fruits and wide variety of drinks. Beautiful beaches. Quick access to water park, pools and beaches using free rides along the resort.

Loved it!

Resort was amazing! There was lots of entertainment daily at the beach and pool side. Staff worked continuously throughout the day to rake up the seaweed on the beach which made a huge difference unlike other resorts along the same beach. Service was great and a lot of great friendly staff. The rooms were more than we expected, very comfortable and clean. The property was beautifully landscaped/ maintained. Wonderful Trip...yet again!

We stayed at the Grand Bahia Turquesa from Oct 4 -11, 2015. This was our 2nd year in a row staying at this hotel and we absolutely LOVE IT! The staff are so wonderful, Basilio (at the Punta Cana buffet) and Katherine are amazing!! This year there was quite a bit of renovation going on in our section, but it NEVER inconvenienced us at all, and really, who could complain about a resort that takes pride in itself and is working in the off season to improve their resort. There was always something g [... read more]oing on for the children which is wonderful. Our daughter made the most beautiful painting at the snack bar by the pool the one afternoon. The cleaning staff did an excellent job in our room, in fact, the tub was re-caulked one afternoon while we were out. I cannot say enough good things about this resort or the wonderful staff! Grand Bahia Turquesa may be furthest from the beach but its only a 2 min ride by the little trolley and you are at the beach! Cannot wait for next year's trip back!!!

Amazing Trip

I thought the hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly, the entertainment was always active and encouraging people to participate. The location to everything such as food and concierge was amazing. The shuttle was timely.

Very nice resort

The hotel and grounds where very clean and well kept, we had an issue with our TV and safe in the room note working we called and in minutes they had it fixed. The food was delicious. People where amazing friendly.

Good resort for kids

This is one of 5 hotels on the property and is the furthest away from the beach. It has a fantastic kids waterpark that makes this a great resort for families travelling with small kids (2-7 years old). There is only one buffet restaurant and it is pretty small, but you can use the beach restaurant for lunch (the resort is about 2 km away from the beach).

An amazing place!

Everything from the room to the staff to the ocean was perfect. This was my second time there and I'd go back in a heartbeat! We arrived and there was already a drink in our hands from the staff! Easy check in and check out which everyone loves that part!
