Relaxing stay

We found the resort to be very relaxing. I did have an issue with housekeeping, which I spoke to them about (cleanliness and removing soiled plate and used glasses from the room) we were disappointed with the entertainment. There were only 4 entertainers but no shows during the week we were there, only music videos, and bingo (which does not belong at a resort). Otherwise an enjoyable stay.

An enjoyable vacation

The resort is compact, very attractive with beautifully kept grounds. We found the serving staff very professional, courteous and friendly. My husband is from the Dominican and knew many of the staff having worked with them in the past. The front desk staff were excellent but failed to tell us our phone was not working, even when I advised them I had called them three times without an answer. Our maid on the first two days was very thorough and helpful. The rest of the time there were differ [... read more]ent maids who one evening failed to leave towels, so when we got back to the room around midnight my husband had to go down to get towel (again, no one answered the phone when I called). For the rest of the stay I had to advise the front desk to have the maids leave towels, clean the mirror in the bathroom (as it was spattered), as well clean the glass shower door, which was also spattered. My husband having worked at other resorts was surprised at the lack of cleanliness. The buffet was excellent with many good choices. We enjoyed the Dominican restaurant, the Italian restaurant and the lobster on the beach. The bar staff were excellent and attentive. I enjoyed the food served late night at the beach bar, well done! Not my favorate

Rooms,food,service was great. A good deal of work has to be done to improve the entertainment. that is my MAJOR complaint. I want to thank Luz & Juan at the pool bar for their hospitality as well as " no problema" at the beach bar

Great Resort

The grounds were beautiful. Rooms were clean. Great variety of food at the buffet. Nice beach. Beautiful pools. Staff were friendly and helpful. Variety of activities to do throughout the day. Nice shops.

Very Pleased

Very nice resort...Beautiful rooms and dining. Very clean and modern. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Being a newer resort, there were a few areas of growth required. A grill closer to the pool and another dining choice would be welcomed. But, overall we were very pleased !!

Wonderful Resort!

I would not hesitate to return to this resort! I think when th resort is up and running and completely finished the few kinks will be ironed out and this will definitely e a 5 star resort! The rooms and surrounding buildings and grounds were exceptionally clean! Service was sometimes slow and rooms were not usually cleaned until late afternoon. It was no trouble to find something delicious to eat there for any meal. The beach grill was a great option for a change. The a la cartes were also nice, fast and very friendly service. Tipping helps! I would like to return to this resort in 2 years time when it is completely finished. I have no doubt that it will be fabulous!

Lots of extras

Over all the resort was amazing. Small but what I expected as for size by reading reviews. Staff are very very friendly and quick to help with everything. lots lots lots of staff. All mini fridge drinks were free in your room compared to what i had read before going. The resort is growing and will have a buffet on both sides which would have been my one complaint. rooms were small again knew that... For what we paid...we got allot. unlimited amounts of bottle water regardless of where u go....The unique village like set up was amazing sports bar wine and cheese bar smoke shop and cafe..all air conditioned..coffee expression frapaccino. ..u name it..all free. nachos and cheese pop chord and hot dogs every day and night pool and show side. michael jackson show was great..the rest not too exciting. wifi was amazing...in room out near pool..everywhere. lots of sea food....options were good. All and All a nice resort..very modern...secluded area...went in taxi to san Pedro. $30 and he stayed with us fir about 4 hours in total..even stopped at mcdonald's on the way back. no didn't get sick..i had a big mac combo. flew into la romana. small airport but 1 hour away instead of 2 in punta cana.

Not a 4.5 star

Beach was beautiful and lots of lounge chairs but we were constantly harassed by vendors on the beach. We ended up moving to the pool. Adult pool area is awesome, shade available if you want it or sunny areas as well. lots of lounge chairs. Drink service was very spotty poolside. Rooms were spacious, modern, clean, air conditioning worked great, lots of hot water in the spacious shower. Some days we got clean towels, some days we didn't, the same with restocking fridge. We were told tipping was  [... read more]optional - we always tip for great service but it seemed staff always had their hand out for a tip. Coffee house was amazing. Found out on our second last day there that they also had frozen drinks- which were great. A menu or a list of what they offer would be nice. Food was decent - the one thing we noticed was that quite often the bread was stale and breakfast bar had cereal but no milk. Dominican restaurant was amazing. Italian was okay. Lobster dinner was great - found out after we had been there a couple days that Thursday's it was $60 a couple instead of $80. We arrived on a Thursday, would have been nice to have that info when we checked in. It is a beautiful resort and I realize it is a new resort but staff need more training in customer service.

Enjoyed this resort.

This resort is small but really enjoyed our stay. Was impressed with the beds for the first time with a resort but all in all the rooms are the same as any other resort. The employees are very friendly but they need more guidance in service. They are very slow in serving coffee in the morning and taking your plates away once you are finished. Apparently we were there when is was a slower time and thank goodness. The buffet is small so since there wasn't many people there were never any line ups  [... read more]but it wb good to know how those who went during March break liked it as far as getting your food and service. Nightly entertainment needs MUCH rescuing,,,,it was terrible but for me it didn't matter as this is not what I go for. The beach is nice but again if busy finding shade could be a problem as they have not cabanas for shade just the trees around all in one area. For swimming as long as you stayed within the buoys the bottom was sandy but outside that area was very shelly bottom. If only adults going it is worth do the adult pkg as they have one pool for the adult building althought it is only 3ft deep which sucks. Also be prepared to have a 2 hr trip from Punta Cana airport to this resort.

New Resort - Lovely!

The hotel is very clean and well kept. Nice surroundings. Food was good, but as week went on, a bit repetative. Front desk staff and most wait and hospitality staff very friendly and helpful. We would go back .

Ok ressort

Clean, quiet, good food, good coffee shop, peaceful, nice grounds. They do not know to do cocktails, everybody work hard to accommodate guests. Safe did not work, was fixed in 5 minutes. Plenty of beach places, Beach towel not an issue

Very nice resort

Rooms were nice. Food good. Service great. Weather perfect. Grounds were beautiful. I only rated this a 4 out of 5 because every where there is always room for improvement but it was a great vacation.

Best all inclusive Vacation!

This is the best all inclusive vacation I have ever been on! Without a doubt, the reason I am saying this is the staff at this resort are the friendliest and most pleasant anywhere. I do not want to mention names for fear of missing anyone, however, a special mention to each individual on the animation team, they exude warmth and personality. While all staff from gardners to cooks and everyone in between were great a special shout out to the towel guy, who, even when there were no towels was so  [... read more]nice and friendly I could not be annoyed! The food was good, I was in a group of 13 and not one person got sick. The beach is great, there is some seaweed but there was staff always cleaning up and if you went approx. 100 feet to one side the water was clear and free of any seaweed. There were a number of sellers on the beach, if you have any bargaining skills the prices were fantastic. The head of security was very aware of everything going on and would divert issues with finess. Just a great time, also, great evening entertainment, great coffee shop....I could go on forever.

Very Very Nice

Clean beautiful rooms, Great food, great service, Fabulous animation team, absolutely wonderful coffee shop, Bar tender at beach bar was unbelievable (Ola Lola, no problema), the day shift bartender at Pool Bar should maybe change jobs (LOL). Lots of beach chairs with mega possibilities of sun or shade. My three suggestions to make it better: Add umbrellas to main pool for shade, open coffee shop earlier and get rid of scented toilet paper.
