A paradise to Visit

Our first visit to Mexico, this the first stay at El Dorado. What a beautiful resort it is!! It was almost a mini honeymoon for my wife and I coupled with friend’s wedding. All inclusives are great, the room service is amazing and so are the swim up bars. The staff is so so so friendly and helpful. Would love to revisit again. Rohit & Anshika

Super fun resort

Room was spacious and the separate rain shower was awesome! Both day and evening entertainment was fantastic -- loved the Mariachi band and the Cherry Lovers =) plus the acrobatic and fire shows. Many pools with different depths, service and levels of loudness so something for everyone. Food was great as well. Beach itself was so-so.

Amazing food and great service.

Hotel has a first class culture trained into their staff. Grounds are beautiful and well kept . Rooms and resort very clean. I will visit Karisma resorts again in the future. Outstanding staff! Food was very delicious, tender , presented well. Ate at most restaurants on the resort. Bartenders were great introduced to new shooters and drinks. Participation team were awesome and entertaining. Night shows were fantastic and kept me highly entertained.

Great resort

The service was excellent. Premium alcohol at all the bars. The Food was excellent, and many options. The decor was modern. Tons of nice little touches to make the vacation extra special! Water shoes recommended for the beach, but the Bali beds were a really nice touch.

El Dorado Seaside Suites

Resort overall was great. Excellent food and drinks as well as service but, will not return due to tablet being stolen from room. We had only been out of our room for about an hour and security said I would not get it back. Too bad because it was stolen day two of our trip.

A great resort

The rooms are amazing. I absolutely loved the shower and bed. The resort could add some more Bali beds as there is not to many. I would also suggest adding some sort of foam to the sun loungers because it was uncomfortable to lay on them. The beach was not to great it had a lot of rocks.

A must Visit

I can honestly say that there was nothing that I was not happy with. The staff were friendly, the food was excellent, various restaurants, pool and beach was good. The rooms were more than I expected. The entertainment and the bars was excellent.

Fantastic Resort!

Highly recommend this property. Food was magnificent, staff wonderful! Awesome pools. Transfers to and from airport seamless. Bars were super fun with great entertainment. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful

Everything was top notch from the rooms to the pool and the service, only thing that was disappointing was the beach. The rooms were the biggest we have ever been in and cleaned two times a day. Food was excellent.

A MAAZ ZIIING!!

ABSOLUTLY loved our swim up!! service was immedicable and attention to detail was unexpected and was so lovely....while on the beach[in a lovely beach bed I must say] cold clothes brought around as well as popsicles and cold water on a regular basis and the trays of fresh fruit and the delicious wee sliders...yum. so decadent! the staff were incredibly friendly, happy and on point! my husband and I were just saying as well we've never met so many nice people as we did on this trip.... all the me [... read more]als were fabulous whether we dined in the many restaurants or ordered from room service, we enjoyed every thing,,,especially at the times when the mariachi band would show up at the various restaurants and play, can't wait to come back! the beach was not perfect with all the seaweed [even the there was staff diligently working 24//7 raking and removing] and it was quite rocky in areas as well as being shallow..but we still enjoyed it...the pools were lovely tho and easy to get to!

Incredible Resort

This resort has very friendly hard working staff, amazing food and couldn’t be any cleaner. Only downfall this past visit was the seaweed on the beach, but the workers worked non stop to try and clear it. Not the resorts fault just mother nature’s.

A 5star resort for sure

Grounds were well kept, food was exceptional, never been to a resort where the duvet were actually cleaned daily. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beach was small but pools and jacuzzis made up for that

Sublime time

it was the best getaway after cold climates in Hamilton. the warmth and the sun on your skin, the palm trees, the food was fresh, the staff friendly, hotel was accommodating. the fruits were endless to eat. everything was clean.

Beautiful resort - access to both properties

Everything was wonderful - stayed at the Eldorado Seaside suites. The room was great but to be honest the swim out water feature off the balconies were nice but not really practical - the water was on the cool side. Went into it once to say I was in it but spent all my time at the beach. The hotel can be pretty noisy once the pool bar gets up and running. If you like to party get a room on the first floor with swim out access to the pool. Spent majority of time at the other Eldorado resort  [... read more]which had the better beach area. Only a 5 minute walk. Staff was great and friendly, the food was delicious but the portions could have been larger.

Heaven On Earth !!!!

I have been throughout my life to many 5 star resorts......But never anything like this!!!! From the bed on the beach to the amazing quality of food and service.Its all about the people like Gaudeloupe who takes care of you at the Seaside Suites beach,this guy treats you like family to the bartender at Driftwood they are amazing people.The management clearly knows and understands Customer Service and that is what we received over and above.Cant say enough about this place even the beach,which so [... read more]me people BEACHED ABOUT was ok with me!!! Not our idea of Romance! - Never Again!

Where do I start? First morning there I tripped on an unmarked step (which I've heard of several others doing as well). I went down hard. Both shins were bruised, I hurt my right ankle, and landed on the top of my left foot causing bruises on my big toe and second toe from the left and massive stiffness. To their credit, they did offer me medical services, and the lifeguard attended in my room to wrap my ankle. I didn't realize how bad my left foot was until the next morning. Immediately afte [... read more]r the incident, instead of offering to let me rest, the concierge tried to shove their rewards program at me, saying it wasn't a timeshare when I flat out asked her if it was. We were stuck mostly to our room as there only 1 restaurant in the main building that was only open for breakfast/lunch and there was no elevator that went all of the way down to that level. A staff member at one point took pity on me and allowed me to use the staff elevator that went all the way down. Room service was underwhelming at the least. I could often hear the neighbour's tv over my own. It was like he was in my room. Most food options were a jaunt away at the Sensimar side or the main building, which was in the middle of nowhere. They do offer golf cart service, but it was hard for me to get around that much. At least the room was nice. I tried to call for the lifeguard in the afternoon after I had hurt my foot as he said he would come back and re-wrap it. My call to the concierge went to an answering service that hung up on me. I called the main desk, and they said they would send him, but he never arrived. I called back the next morning and he came to wrap my left foot. Our balcony pool had garbage floating in it that didn't get cleaned up such as a plastic bag and an umbrella until I complained over two days later. . After two days in the room, I needed to go out, so we stopped by the concierge to make reservations for a restaurant we wanted to go to. He asked how things were going, and I mentioned some of my concerns. He replied with "what can we do to get you to the presentation". His partner was on the phone with the concierge who was assigned to us, and she was worked up because we didn't show up for the presentation, which we cancelled immediately after I found out it was a timeshare (and I injured myself). I had enough at this point and spoke to the front desk, who wanted us to try and give the resort another try. She immediately sent someone to clean the pool, but the umbrella just wound up on the grass below, and the plastic bag remained on our balcony until check out. We checked out the beach but it was too rocky and smelled like rotten eggs. The main pool was lively, but there were some drunk idiots whipping their shorts down on the ledge above the pool in front of the crowd. The grounds of the hotel are filled with huge advertisements for their other resorts. Very tacky and they take away from any sense of romance. We had our Anniversary dinner on the beach and paid for the upgraded package with Champagne. Between soup and the main course a torrential downpour came and we were soaked. All we could do was just laugh at that point. The special morning after breakfast showed up and it wasn't what we ordered at all. The hotel decided to move us as I didn't think I could stay there any longer. 4 nights was enough for us. Luckily the hotel they moved us to was a smaller and quieter, and we were able to salvage the 6 nights we had remaining. This hotel may be adults only, but it does not seem to be geared towards couples. It's not romantic and seems very cold. The crowd seems to be more of a party crowd. Not what we were looking for at all. Karisma really needs to re-think their hard sell on their timeshares. It should not be the concierge pushing you into the timeshare. It's not fair that you have to go see the concierge for so many things, and each time you get pressured. I didn't pay good money for this vacation to be subjected to that. I would never return to this resort or another Karisma resort because of this experience. We did have a better time at the resort we were transferred to - El Dorado Maroma, but it did not make up for this, and the fact that we were hounded about the timeshare there again, when I made it clear what happened at the other resort made things worse. Was not offered the check out survey, and the one sent by email to me was deactivated - not surprised. This will definitely be an Anniversary we don't forget, and not in a good way.

Beautiful Resort!

This resort was spotless, well-maintained, friendly. The workers here were phenomenal; always assisting, greeting, cleaning, etc. The food was delicious and plentiful. The drinks were also delicious and so many to try! The beach on the Infinity side is still being built but it did not disappoint; there was always a place to lay and despite needing water shoes the water was lovely and refreshing. I wish I could remember every single name of every single person who took care of us: Juan and  [... read more]Guadaloupe on the beach, Antonio and the other bartenders at the swing bar on the Sensimar side ... so many lovely employees who were so friendly and helpful.

Great honeymoon resort!

The resort was beautiful! The food was even better! It was a great place for our honeymoon, a party in the pool and laid back at the beach. There was one bartender that really stood out at the big swing bar. He danced and sang all night long and kept you entertained. I loved the swing bar! However there was another smaller swing bar and one of the bartenders could get you drunk in two drinks and had a terrible attitude when you asked him to put less alcohol in... we avoided him! My only complaint would ve that the room service was either cold or the person in the kitchen had no idea how to make things... there was only 1 time where it was warm. The beach could also be a bit bigger but everything else madr up for it. We would definitely go again

Amazing resort!

Blown away by the level of service and attention to detail. Average ratio of 1 guest for 4 staff very evident in how clean and well kept the grounds and rooms are. Dining was 5 star and inventive. Service was consistently friendly and warm. The rooms and pools were beautiful with fantastic view of the ocean. If you want a stress free, pampered vacation this is the spot for you. We will be returning to this resort again and again.

Everything we wished for and more!

My husband and I went to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We wanted a resort that was not too big and that had the feel of being isolated. This resort had all that and more. The food is to die for. The staff are so friendly. The room is amazing. Nothing better than wake up looking at that ocean having a pool right at your balcony. We had such an amazing time that we are already planning our trip back :)
