Amazing hotel , five stars

my review has no words ,everything was amazing. excepted the French dining, we had to pay 30 u s a dollars per person plus the wine the food was very cold and plus was a very bad service the waiters had no class to work in French restaurant , everybody was complaining I advice for people not to go there, not waste there money and time. the resort and hotel was excellent and beautiful I would like to thanks Tammy Templeton, for her service. and help and the time she spend with me  [... read more] on the phone ,very helpful . HUGE FABULOUS RESORT

Large resort with 8 pools, bars and restaurants galore. Stayed at the adults only part which has it's own pool. This resort is well constructed with the best of materials and the rooms are beautiful. The hotel is new and they have a few issues to figure out and when they do it will be one of the nicest resorts in Punta Cana. On Bavaro Beach which is probably the best beach in Punta Cana. They are currently understaffed and they need to teach their workers some basic English as we have to learn s [... read more]ome basic Spanish. There are issues with food not being hot enough in the buffets and with so many allergies they have to label the food before someone suffers a severe reaction. Two simple steps that would mean so much. However staff is friendly and will go out of their way to please you.

My First Experience with this level of resort

The resort is beautiful. Room was immaculate. Staff made up for what other reviewers have described as growing pains. Wilkin from the Italian resto, Julio from the Mediterranean and Denwill, one of the sommeliers went above and beyond.

Definitely Not recommended

The service was non existent. People arguing daily for beach chairs and towels. Staff did not keep their promises of getting us the room we paid for. Food was sub par at best. Resort reused food from prior days at buffet and at la carte restaurants. Terrible sewage smell on first floor throughout resort and in parts of lobby. Bar at beach and in lobby would ignore and serve whomever they liked/tipped the most. Shows are horrible when there were any. Excellent resort

We were there for a week in November. At first the resort seemed a little too big for me but after a day I figured out where everything was and it was great! The grounds are gorgeous! Nicest I’ve seen in any other resort. The people working at the resort were also amazing. There was quite a bit of a language barrier but I speak a little Spanish so I got by okay. I would recommend this hotel and would go back in the future.

Excellent Resort

Travelled October 22 to November 1 - Ten days, adults only. Upon arrival we were informed that there was a special check-in for adults only. The check-in was smooth and fast and our room was ready (bonus). The room was very nice however we were not that impressed with the frosted glass for the toilet and shower (not very private). Other than that it was perfect. the grounds are getting there, I think in a year they will be much better, lots of water features through out the resort. The maid s [... read more]ervice was great, just check the back of the card by the phone and it will tell you the time frame that your room will be cleaned, ours was 10 am to 1 pm and it was done every day during that time frame. The food was great lots of variety, I am a salad person and can not complain about that section, 3 or 4 different lettuce's and plenty of other items. We went to 3 ala carte restaurants. We were not that impressed with the Asian or Italian, but the adult ala carte (Mareas) was great (we went twice). Get the steak it is amazing. Also the restaurant by the lobby bar is very good. The Caesar salad is big and the steak is great here also. Everyone was friendly and polite, no complaints here especially Wilin Amador from the Timon and adult only bar. Just one complaint that was the wrist bands that have a chip to unlock your door. Twice we had problems and had to get the front desk to rest them. All and all a great resort and had a great time. .

Beautiful resort

We loved this resort. It’s the most beautiful resort we seen in all of our travel. The beach, food and most of all the staff were very good. The rooms are very beautiful and clean. The maids always had clean towels for us. The only problem we had on our trip was that we paid extra for adult section but it was full of kids including the room across from us.... We weren’t happy to have spend the money and not received this service.... Lovely trip to Punta Cana. Terrible resort

I would not recommend this resort we had a lot of problems a lot of us got sick one of us ended up in the hospital. Our rooms were never cleaned when we asked for an iron and board and a blow dryer we never got I had a wedding to attend to the service was terrible at this resort I will never go back to the Dominican again they need to do something about this resort It just opened we had to put towels on our door so the water wouldn’t pour in no one did nothing about it then they had the gall t [... read more]o ask us to pay a bill for a phone to call the hospital you might wanna look into this we’re not happy none of usI am very sick from this trip

Great resort

The resort was clean great food , plenty of beach chairs at the pool and on the beach the room was clean and the mini fridge was restocked daily,nice tv and the bed was comfortable, the a la cart restaurants were excellent!!

Great resort

The food is good, décoration et architecture super, servie A1. Lot of humidité in the room, climatisation going on and off. Beach ok. Super place but still some Work to do. I would say dont Book with sunwing even if the price lower, that had an escal to toronto last minute.

Relaxing week away

Stayed July 29-Aug 5 The resort is beautiful. Lush gardens and water fountains everywhere. Still new resort opened in May, but staff are trying hard to please. Rooms very comfortable, we had swim out adult very clean, relaxing. Lots of pools, throughout the resort, beach was being cleaned and we actually were able to enjoy it. Very Nice Resort with tons of Potential

We were very skeptical about going to this resort as the reviews right up until our stay were very mixed. Despite not being totally finished, this resort will be beautiful when finished, the boulevard is not yet complete which meant there was not a lot to do in the evenings - they are getting there. They still need to do some work with service levels, it took over six hours to get our room, when we finally did get our room we entered it only to find out it was occupied, they moved us to anothe [... read more]r room. We asked for an iron to be sent to the room every day and kept being told they will send it over to us - they never did. All-in-all we managed. I think the reps at Tripcentral should be better informed when it comes to newer hotels, it would have been nice to have a little more information from the rep in order to help make a decision - not their fault. In speaking to some people that booked through Sunwing, they were made aware of what stage the hotel was at as well as some of the negetive press the Dominican Republic has recently been getting and where given the choice to continue on with their vacation to Lopesan Bavaro or change it to another destination - this was not part of any insurance plan. Overall it was a very nice resort, very nice pools, great decor, food was excellent and most importantly the weather was great. We would definately consider returning to this resort in a couple of years when it is all done.

Not Quite Ready Yet

While a very beautiful hotel with some amazing food, this hotel needs work to be considered 5 star quality. The hotel had a mould problem and did not have the boulevard ready which was disappointing since that was a big selling point for us. There were several minor problems like power outages, items missing in the room and lack of signage in the resort made some things difficult. The staff seemed overwhelmed trying to fix all problems so hopefully more staff will be hired soon.
