Coral level at Iberostar selection Holguin Cuba

The hotel was excellent in all respects. The wait staff, housekeeping, bartenders, butlers and reception were so accommodating responding to any request with a smile. The massage professionals were fantastic. Better than many massages I have had at home in Toronto. The food at the various restaurants was excellent.

Excellent experience in resort

It was very beautiful and organized resort . we had Coral level which is more like VIP in resort and very good experience in our trip. I hadn't read what is different between Coral level and other part of hotel but as I figure out in resort it was separate butler for corals guests as they need anything in resort they provide on time and reach to guests in quick time which was great .it was private gazebo for double room in back yard front of pool . Also Coral level building was two stories level [... read more] but other section were three stories level and more units in apartment which makes more private and quiet area for Coral level . Room and facilities were excellent as we expected as five star hotels . Room service was amazing and cleaning staffs were so professional and neat. All personnel were so polite, professional, good trained and friendly . Food were in good quality and I think were sourced from local farms which I think in Cuba is more organic stuffs . But as I had experience with my other trip to caribbeans, quantity and variety wasn't comparable and was less . If I consider fairness, this trip was in covid situation and resort wasn't crowded, so maybe that could be a reason for limited of food variety . Pools and water were super clean . My only bad experience was about wifi internet which we had recharged it every Fife hours of usage with call butler or service desk ! and had to log in every time after turn on the phone ! So we had put our user name and password provided to us every time you want to going on phone ! But wifi was powerful every where in resort either far away beach ( second private beach of resort ). I liked pedal boat and katamara which was inflatable boat in resort service that gusts could enjoy of it free of charge with driver Totally , I was so happy to chose my trip in this resort and definitely recommended with high score.

Peaceful Paradise

Very quiet due to COVID 2 a La crates open - both very good Struggles with supplies due to COVID so no butter minimal bread but loads of fish, seafood and lobster tail in Coral New resort so all clean and fresh with staff constantly cleaning and polishing 4 girlfriends had a wonderful week

Amazing Staff

We stayed at Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Holguin for two weeks in December. Everything was perfect. - The rooms are modern, spacious, and very clean, with comfortable beds, a large bathroom, and very good AC. - The Coral restaurant serves great food, with a set menu, which for dinners includes fish, lobster, fillet, and chicken, served with very good wines. A great selection of drinks at the bar. - The Coral Level has a fairly large, very clean swimming pool with a bar. - But what set [... read more]s the Coral Level apart from all the other resorts that we have visited in Cuba and elsewhere, is the staff. They are simply fantastic. From the butlers to the restaurant staff and countless others including the cleaning staff, life guards, and gardeners all work super hard to serve the guests. Please tip generously not to get a better service but because these wonderful people really deserve it.

Best in Cuba

This is as close to a 5 star that you will find in Cuba. Service, cleanliness, modern with 3hrs/day/person of free wifi. The food is better tahn most other Cuban resorts, but still not 5 star, shortages, lack of spices still exist, presentation however was great, the skae restaurant does outdo itself, possibly 5 star level. The Coral section, with perks, and adults only is so quiet and peaceful, while the rest of the resort is more family oriented, evryone seemed to enjoy the pools. Fantastic stay!

Coral level is well worth it! Private a la carte restaurant with good variety of food, pool (pool bar), and outdoor bar all in very close proximity but also access to all resort amenities (main resort is a bit of a walk but I think resort is completely accessible with many ramps on site). Coral is away from the rowdiness of main pool area and very quiet and serene. Service by all staff at Coral was exceptional. You are assigned "butlers" who help with anything that may be problematic. They went  [... read more]above and beyond when needed. Stunning beach at man made Bay for all resort guests. Ideal for wading or if traveling with children as is shallow. Snorkeling opportunities on site. 10 minute walk or drive (drivers available on resort) to larger beach with water activities, windsurfing, kayaking etc. Food was plentiful and fresh, chicken, beef, seafood, fish, cheese all available. Fresh fruit and vegetables available but limited (our visit was late Feb). Some meals exceeded expectations. No real complaints. Keep expectations re: food low and you won't be disappointed. This IS a country where food is rationed for its residents. I am very sensitive to changes in water and food when I travel and I did not get sick at all. I highly recommend a visit to this resort if you are looking for some R & R and time in the sun.

Iberostar Holguin Coral Level

This resort is beautiful as it is not even 2 years old yet. Pool area and service was wonderful If you are looking for rest relaxation and pretty much nothing to do this is the place Everyone over 40 and mostly couples but I went to do nothing You are 1.5 hours from Holguin and 30 minutes from Guardelavacca

Fancy resort

The grounds and amenities were beautiful in the coral level. The service was exceptionally good, the rooms were very nice, and cleaning staff was great. The restaurants were nicely designed and the staff were very nice and professional, the chefs definitely need higher level training, to help in the flavourings and quality of there meals and menu.

Almost perfect

We've just returned from a week's stay at the Holguin Iberostar - Coral level. Overall, the resort and client care we experienced were exceptional... Rooms, pools and common spaces were modern and well kept. All personal services, from room cleaning to bar service, were thorough, friendly and generally efficient. Our only real disappointments were: 1) the beach...not oceanfront. The resort is situated on a cove...so no waves or long stretches of sandy beach. 2) the food...this was the reso [... read more]rt's biggest fault. Fresh fruit was sparse...mostly papaya and unripe watermelon. Many buffet and a la carte staples were missing or in extremely limited supply. If the food situation were to be improved upon...I would be confident to recommend this resort to friends and family.

No kids and pretty well behaved adults

The upscale end is very nice, it’s quite and no line ups for food which was nice for breakfast and lunch. Food is very repetitive certain things bananas tomatoes, weren’t to be found. And breakfast juices , didn’t have any. The specialty restaurants were very elegant and professional with plenty of staff, but other than the lobster, the food was just adequate. The Chinese open flame cooking was odd. They came out and served you chicken and beefs squares and a sparse salad. The food was probably the best here as there was shrimp beef and chicken and more ,freshly cooked in front of you. Rooms were FANTASTIC. we had a corner unit sweet, towels were always super clean , and fresh daily as well as bed turndown service all fridge waters and beer and pop were replenished daily. Hour bus ride, they have little golf carts that ar constantly driving around so if u don’t feel like walking just flag on down. Overall very nice presentation as well as grounds and pool and upgraded wooden chairs. Were all top notch, the food needs to be worked on. I no it’s cuba and I’ve been 20 plus times over 38;years, I have had better steaks and salads on some of the other islands.

I have been to Cuba many times ,Jamaica Mexico and Dominican This resort has only been open Little over a year. very clean, modern, well laid out grounds snorkeling was excellent right off the beach food was good, staff/ butler were excellent: 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Will return to this resort

Wonderful week in Cuba

We stayed at the Iberostar Holguin, Coral Level. It was the best decision we could have made if you want an adults only experience. The staff were warm, friendly and very accommodating. The resort is stunning, rooms beyond comfortable, and the outside shower was to die for. The food was great except for 2 meals, if you can't find something to eat at one of the 5 restaurants or the buffet, you have a problem. Pools beautiful and entertainment entertaining

Beautiful resort.

We stayed January 8- 15 at the Coral Level at Iberostar Selection in Holguin. We had a junior suite . The rooms are spacious with a awesome bathroom and outdoor shower! The rooms were cleaned everyday and the maids did their job always with a smile . The food is good , the resort had a shortage of several things that they were not able to get. French fries , mashed potatoes and even the lobster was not available. The butlers did their best to accommodate for the things that were not there. [... read more] We would love to see the breakfast a-la carte returning we missed the Eggs Benedict and the rum and banana pancakes! Junior, Raoul, and Lariza were our butlers and we can not say enough good things about them. Always a smile and a kiss on the cheek for us, they are the main reason we come back to this resort. Not only them but all the people that work at the Coral level are friendly and helpful. We ate at some of the a-la carte restaurants and our favorite was the Japanese, a funny show and good food. The rest of the restaurants we didn't much cared for. The Mediterranean restaurant was a disappointment because we expected more fish selections and lobster on the menu which were both missing. The entertainment is good especially the band that played the Tuesday night was awesome. We had nothing to complain about the resort and will definitely come back. Coral Level

Stayed in a junior suite on the 2nd floor in the Coral Section (adults only). Room was very spacious and all rooms seemed to have a pool view. Room, grounds, pool and restaurants were all very clean and well kept. On the Coral side of the resort which is very quiet, we received excellent service and staff were very friendly. We only ate in the Coral, Japanese and Mediterranean restaurants which was very good. Ate once at the Buffett for dinner which was ok but make sure you are there when the  [... read more]doors open. Warming dishes didn’t seem to be replenished quickly. There are 2 beaches. The small beach is very nice, small and shallow with an excellent beach bar. The larger beach which you share with another hotel is very nice but busy. There is a section reserved for Iberostar guests but quite small and fills up fast. There is also a makeshift bar with excellent service with the basic drinks. (No slushies). The beach is accessible by a bridge and can walked to very easily or you can hop on the golf carts. There currently is no “adult only” beach sections”. The two Iberostar resorts are on large grounds that are very walkable and well lit at night with a nice path along the ocean. The 2 beaches are nice but not like the Cayos or Varadero. I would return.

Really Nice Resort

The Coral Level at this hotel was great. Beautiful rooms with a soaker tub and separate shower stall. The pool is right at your door. There is butler service so if you need anything they will help. Daily towel swaps for the pool towels and turn down service. The wait staff are around you all day asking if you would like a drink. They bring it to you poolside which is wonderful. The down side of cuba is they run out of food items on the menu so you are eating a lot of the same things which [... read more]ever restaurant you go to. Every night we were booked into a different restaurant they were out of 2-3 thing always. Appetizers, mains and desserts were always “not available”. It didn’t matter where you went. There is no extra service or special restaurant privileges because you are coral level. The main difference is you have your own smaller buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch and an afternoon snack menu at the outdoor bar. Otherwise the other restaurants are shared by everyone at the resort. The beach area is also small if you are a beach person. I loved staying at the pool because there you get lounge chairs and a cabana for your use daily.

First Class Destination

Tranquil and beautiful resort within a resort. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. They all face the private Coral pool, which is a few steps away from the rooms. The second floor rooms have very private and comfortable balconies. The rooms come with a male or female "butler" who is available to assist with tasks that would take time away from your vacation (such as booking dining reservations or excursions). The Coral restaurant provides a fine dining experience every day. Maria and the  [... read more]dining staff provide excellent service and high end menu choices (better than most hotels in Canada, IMO). The idea that Cuban food is boring is a dated stereotype. The food is not spicy, but it is tasty. As a bonus, excellent varietal Chilean wines are served with dinner and the bottle is left at your table. If you're in the mood for something different or quicker, there are several choices at the main resort. The Japanese restaurant is fun, but for the most part, you can't beat the Coral. There is daily morning and evening housekeeping service, if you want it. The evening service will replace your beach towels, which is a nice touch. Lots of loungers with proper pads, which avoids the unhappy dynamic you get into at the resorts down the beach where rudimentary loungers are in short supply. There is a quiet reading area off the Coral lobby (with books "donated" by other guests) if you get a rainy day, but there are few of those during winter. We had ten perfect days this year. The weather in the Holguin area is reliably warm all year, so you know what to pack for your perfect vacation. The Coral is an adult-only luxury experience. It does cost a little more, but the Tripcentral format makes it very easy to compare and for my money, the Coral is well worth the extra.
