Wonderful Resort - Adults only section

You can tell from a few items missing from the room that this resort is starting to recover from the effects of the pandemic. Bring a hair dryer, don’t count on coffee maker in room. Other than that, Staff was amazing and extremely helpful and happy to assist in any way. Food was a 5*, accommodations were clean and as advertised 5*, pool was beautiful but the towel/chair game is played and annoying. More chairs would be required. The pool was quiet time until 3 then party time and loud music a [... read more]fter 3 which was not relaxing if you don’t want to participate so we moved to the beach where water was warm and chairs abundant. If you are looking to walk anywhere the resort is isolated, the gym was clean and not too busy. Representatives of the upgrade Privilege tried to catch us daily but they respected a polite no thank you. Lobby bar area had nightly live music and was enjoyable.

Needs some work

Beautiful property. Nice pool. Food is horrible. Needs work. Rooms weren’t always cleaned. But the bar, blue team, servers, life guards were all great and pleasant. Don’t think I’d come back to this resort.

Remarkable resort

My best friend and I stayed a week at this resort and genuinely had a fantastic time. The entertainment staff were phenomenal and all made for fun events. The restaurants were great and I'd recommend this place to a friend

Good Resort

The hotel and resort in general was good! We had fun during our stay and enjoyed the excursions. We did experience some minor poor service by couple staff, but I am sure they will improve on that overtime and there is no concern for future visitors. The beach was not the best, too much rocks, but you can work around areas and enjoy the water. I would recommend this resort to anyone who would like stay at this resort!

Amazing Resort

There is nothing you can say bad about this resort, we have been travelling 3-4 times a years for 30 years and this was the best resort we have been too. The staff are amazing, if you are lucky enough to meet Kemar you will be treated like royalty at the privilege side, Robert at the swim up is amazing, the group at the swim are all awesome. We will be back more than once. The only thing I will say is if you do not like the smell of pot, do not go to Jamaica., it is in the air a lot, I don’t like it but it was worth it the resort and people are awesome.

We loved our stay and we loved the resort

We've been to over 15 all inclusive resorts before and each one was special in its way. Ocean Eden Bay scored high on entertainment, service and food. I wish I new the animator's name so I can mention it here because he was amazing. Before the trip I had read reviews about slow service: we've seen none of that. You could see the staff working hard to clear the sea weed. There are corals on the bottom of the sea so water shoes are needed. There were lots of palapas and chairs available any time of the day. I have to say, we were in December, not sure if it's always like that... We haven't spent much time by the pool so I won't comment on the pool side, other than that it looked gorgeous.

Wonderful staff and hotel.

This was a beautiful modern resort with many amenities. The staff members went out of their way to help with everything. It was very clean and quite often you could see the staff washing the floors and other surfaces. Everything smelled clean as well. There were often cooks there to prepare fresh omelets in the morning or steaks or fish on the grill for your lunch or dinner menu. Finally, they had someone there to make a fresh smoothie in the morning. If you stay at the Ocean Eden you can also take advantage of all the restaurants and facilities at the other hotel adjacent to Ocean Eden. So there was no lack of food or entertainment or drinks. The entertainment company called Blueline was unbelievable. Every single staff member went out of their way to entertain and make everyone feel at home. Every evening there was entertainment either outside or in the beautiful Senses theatre. At the pool, during the day, they had activities going on and they had an incredible way with people. I felt like I had known them my whole life. They went way out of their way to get to know everyone. We were greeted warmly at each encounter. The bartenders are amazing as well. They can prepare a variety of drinks and are always happy to meet your needs with a warm friendly smile. There were plenty of lounge chairs and shaded areas around the pool and at the beach. They were kept very clean. The beach is very nice although there are some parts that have some rocks that you need to walk around. But, it’s very easy to do. We were in the water every day and the breeze was incredible. We will go back.

A very nice resort!

The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. The grounds were immaculate. Beautiful extremely large pool, lazy river was fun. Every restaurant we went to was great. The food A1 service top notch. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Being new they had a few things to still iron out but on the whole it was a great holiday and would recommend it to anyone. Beautiful Resort

Ocean Eden Bay Resort is gorgeous the views are to die for the rooms are lovely and the pool is outstanding and the resort is spotless and all the staff are so so friendly and welcoming the restaurants were great some had a little wait time to get in depending on what time you went. So many great restaurants so lots to chose from. The food was great. The weather was fabulous. It hasn't been open very long so some tweaking on customer service could be better they don't answer their phones  [... read more]every time and stocking the coffee and water etc could be better but like I said it's new and likely new staff. They are still adding on in areas of the beach but we loved the pool so we were poolside most of our stay enjoying the delivery of drinks. There is a fair bit of walking so I think there should be a trolley that goes around so people can get on and off as they please esp. people with disabilities that can't walk very far. A lady that was with us was on oxygen and often times we couldn't get the trolley to come for us so she had to walk and it was difficult for her and some days she just stayed behind. With Covid still in the air every precaution was taken to ensure our safety. We didn't want to come home that's for sure and would put it on our list to return.

Good experience

I was concerned after reading all of the negative reviews about the resort but I did not experience any major issues. The food was decent, the pool was amazing and there was always seating available, the room was fine with the fridge always full with drinks. The beachfront was small and quite rocky but I am more of a pool person so this didn’t bother me. Nice New Resort with lots of Potential to be Great

Ocean Eden Bay is a new resort that unfortunately seems like it was rushed to be opened. While modern and clean you can see that they missed the mark in finishes. The tile work in the bathrooms is messy to say the least, paint is everywhere including on the gorgeous plants around the resort. That being said the views are stunning, the pools are great, and the food was great although the wait to get it at the a la carte restaurants was not. I recommend this resort but they definitely need to beef up the staff and pay attention to the finishes around the resort.

Very good resort

I found thr restaurants very good food of good quality and well prepared. Room was large and clean. Grounds are well maintained, with lots of security. The bars are well stocked with premium alcohol and bartenders knowledgeable in shaking up nice and varied cocktails however we understood it to be a adult only resort,but with the ocean eden next door children are allowed into the restaurant area. The staff were most helpful and pleasant

So Much Potential, but Disappointing Service

This resort has wonderful interior design. It was very clear that whomever the designer(s) are, they are very on trend. The food was delicious. BUT the service was terrible. This is classified as a 5 star and my partner and we had upgraded to the "Privilege" level of the resort which is supposed to provide you as a guest with top-level service and perks. At check in, we were not greeted by anyone at the front door direction between the "Privilege" check-in desk and the regular desk - we had  [... read more]to learn that the hard way after standing in the general lineup to check in. We were handed a package by the clerk after checking in properly and told to wait for our "Butler". He dropped us off at our room, gave us a phone number to reach him on and went on his way. There was no explanation of how things work at the resort, what our reservation number was (which you need for room service), how to use our hot tub in our room, etc. I'll spare most of the nitty-gritty details for everything but we had several issues such as feeling like we were inconveniencing the bar staff when we wanted drinks, reservations were not scheduled correctly, wait times at restaurants were REALLY long and they did not have enough staff to fill the restaurants at dinner. Room service did not show up on a few occasions and once came 1.5 hours later, ice cold. We were supposed to also received a fully stocked "premium bar" in our room fridge....all that was was 1 small shot of vodka. EVERYONE we spoke to at the resort was having the same issues. Disorganization, rude customer service from many bar tenders, long wait times, not the service we paid for, running out of wine at restaurants, not having all of the menu options available (and I'm talking they would normally say that 3 to 4 items on the menus were not available and there are 7 options overall), etc. The beach was small and full of coral rock, but still beautiful. As privilege guests, we were also supposed to receive beach service. We got that for 1 hour on only 1 day of our entire week stay.... The pool was beautiful. And they tried some entertainment, but it was the same every day and needed a bit more oomph to get people going. Our PCR test was a disaster. They ran out of tests after 35 were done...knowing there were 200 appointments that day. My partner received his results the night before our departure and I had to stand in line 40 minutes before my bus departure to have mine resent because it didn't make it to me...this happened to countless others leaving that day with us as well. The positives were that the support staff (like our housekeeper) was amazing and the food was really great when you finally got it.

Great Resort. Music Too Loud

We stayed at the Ocean Eden Bay resort from Feb 04-11/22. The rooms were amazing with the swim up pool. Food was amazing. Just the music was constant. At the beach, around the pool and at night. Loud and total unnecessary.

Great Vacation

Beautiful Resort, the grounds are clean, and well maintained. Our room in building 3, room 3303 was nice, great view, very clean! The beach was good, the water was so warm! There were some rocks, but could be easily avoided! And lastly, the staff at this resort are wonderful, the lobby bar was where we would end our day. we were well taken care of from Jason, and Tania! The pool bar was really great also, thanks to Sharlette.
