Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Resort Not Good

The grounds were clean, but a boa snake and another snake was present near our stay which had me terrified after the snakes were captured right away. Our anxiety was high! We paid $500 more for an upgraded room superior with a jacuzzi terrace and the jacuzzi we got to use once as we had to get the service guy to fix it and was not fixed until the last 2 days of our trip, our room was big which was a plus but we were constantly calling for restocking for coffee for morning, bottles of water, crea [... read more]m sugar cups. When we arrived there it was nice to receive a nice greeting a champagne and a refreshing towel. When it came to booking our dinners when we arrived they only had 9 pm time slot which was too late to eat. Not happy about that…the resort was quiet and entertainment was geared to older people. The sales people for resort were trying to have us engage in a privledge holiday to have extra hospitality given to us but would have to spend 90 min of our time but was told we could use beach privledge for just going during our stay, then arranged a time for us to be picked up they didn’t show up. We went right to desk, no apologies then a young guy informed us he wanted to make sure that it was only for couples only and only ones who were interested in paying for this privilege. We were getting mixed messages and annoyed at them hounding us. Pressure sales.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Disappointed

Our room flooded water pouring through the roof our 1 year old daughter slipped on the huge puddle on the floor smashing her head hard. Requested a new room as water was coming through the ceiling and they began to say someone will be up with a mop and bucket soon. Again I insisted NO I’d like another room and they were annoyed at my request it’s 9pm now and I’m waiting for a new room they placed a family of 4 with two small babies on the third floor having to hike 3 flights of stairs with strol [... read more]lers and beach/ poor gear. My daughter had sever allergies with anaphylaxis I emailed the hotel prior and they said go to guest services for a special card to give the chef.. (so I felt confident when booking) when I did the chef couldn’t confirm anything is there was egg in dishes or milk or nuts all three very severe allergies .. my poor daughter ate hardly anything all week I felt awful.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing resort!

Everything was excellent! Rooms are clean. Beach is amazing. Service is very good everywhere in the resort. Food are delicious in buffet and in A la cart restaurants. Entertainment is very good! We definitely coming back.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great food!

This was my first time at a resort down south. It was also my first time visiting somewhere that is truly a different culture, food, and experience. Please keep in mind that their milk is not pasteurized, or homogenized. They use a third method more suitable to the tropics. This means that you can't get a good cup of tea. The creamy part of the milk is whipped and the whole thing is heated. The first time I asked for milk with my tea the waiter looked shocked. He brought a teapot full of hot [... read more], whipped milk with a touch of coffee added. Then, I looked shocked. The food was amazing, the Ala carte restaurants were even more impressive. The beach, pool, and the grounds were all amazing. While most of the staff were great and tried—even with the language difference to be helpful, a few took advantage of that fact to just coast in their jobs. Is it a deal killer? No. The room was spacious, and well-appointed except for the missing wall in the bathroom. Do not expect to get facecloths, so bring your own. It is so hot, and humid there that our room had a musty undertone most of the time.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Bahia Xian Ka'an = Great value for 5 stars

We stayed at Bahia Xian Ka'an, this gave us the freedom of drinking and eating at all 4 resorts. Zooming around the different properties and beaches, lots of activities to do which made 7 days feel like 14 days. Food was resort food for most but out of all the buffets Xian Kaan was the best.. Our favorite restaurants were not popular and easy to book Ku'uk and Mashua were perfectly fusion. Ku'uk was traditional Mexican but found a way to perfectly fuse different cultural foods without trying t [... read more]o hard. Mashua was Nikkei style and both were 5 star restaurants. Minor nuisances..musty smell in the rooms suggest moisture issues in walls..however this was trumped by excellent service

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Luxury at its best

This resort is very upscale and well maintained. The food, drinks, rooms, beach, pool, entertainment and service is amazing. We had a swim up room and loved it. Will definitely return to the Ambar.

This is in no way a "5-star" hotel. Most likely a "3-star" Rooms are awful: bed the worst I have ever slept in; outdated; old. Food: some hits (Limbo, Fish Market) and misses (Portfino); buffet provided a huge selection which was good Entertainment: the staff is the best - engaging and friendly, all day long; some of the shows were hits (fire show, white party, boogie show) and misses (live music) Guest services: seemed really put off when you ask for assistance Grounds: very clean, beauti [... read more]ful Walkability: the resort itself is quite isolated and you do not need a trolley to get around from your room > buffet > pool > lobby area. However if you want to visit other resorts or go to the beach, you can grab a trolley on the main path. Beach: it is a 10-15 minute walk. Make sure you remember everything you need to bring or else it is a long walk back; very clean and beautiful. Excursions: there is someone in the lobby to answer your questions and book trips: very easy and excellent customer service Pool: very clean; divided into 3 areas; did not have any issue getting a lounger Bugs: terrible - you will get bitten and bitten a lot. Check in/out: easy; small fee to check out later if your travel plans are delayed; bit confusing to see that there are 2 lobbies within the resort Air Transat: never again - vent cover blew off upon landing and hit someone on the head- scary to witness considering the news of windows and doors being smashed open on other airlines; 7+ hours delayed getting home plus removal of unruly passengers which added to the delay; customer service was non-existent

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Feels like second home

We absolutely love this resort! We’ve been here about 10 times in the last 6 years. It’s awesome for kids as well. Lots to do and really good food selection. Entertainment could be a bit better for kids-thats probably the only negative thing I have to say. Smoked chicken is amazing. Beach is a little rocky but in the ocean is amazing. Staff is outstanding and treat us great because we’ve been there so much

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Wonderful Holiday

The Bahia group of hotels is very nice. Lots of walking which we like but if you dont there are regular trollies. The Aquamarine that we stayed in was nice but getting a little tired and needed some repairs. You could book as many dinners as you wanted at any of the hotels. The food was very good. The beach was gorgeous and you could walk forever. They need more huts for shade though.

I hadn't been in an all inclusive in a long while...25 years. I truly enjoyed it! Loved it! The hotel was great, food was amazing, pool and beach absolutely beautiful, entertainment wonderful...I needed this get away to relax and I did.

The hotel, food and staff are great! The grounds are beautiful and the beaches are maintained and security is present. Just watch out for the exchange rates in the jewelry store ( not managed by the hotel) as they quote you in US$ but charge you in Mexican pesos. This is fine but we got charged $100 US over what they quoted. Ask for the price in pesos and do your own conversion.

It was a great time. Food was amazing and the staff was great. Very clean resort.The entertainers were amazing would recommend it for sure.the beaches were nice in some areas. The water was so clear and warm.

Girls' group trip to celebrate a 40th birthday. The hotel is well laid out and very modern. Clean rooms restocked daily! Beautiful beach and lush landscape. Excellent food: numerous choices and delicious!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Bahai luxury Ambar

This was our third time at this resort and we enjoyed it as we did the first time we came. Food was great, bars were excellent especially Limbo and the staff and servers were wonderful. Looking forward to returning again.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice resort

Very large resort. Check-in was poor, given bracelet and no info about resort or map to know where to go. (Thanks to a friend who arrived earlier was able to find where things were). Bracelet didn’t work had to go back to reception for a new one. Room was good, clean but the safe didn’t work went back to reception three times to had it looked at, was never fixed during my stay (stored wallet and passport in my friend’s room). Also coffee maker was broken again went back three times and never g [... read more]ot fixed.(my friend and I switch coffee makers as she doesn’t drink Coffee). The food was amazing at the buffets. At the a la carts food was good but nothing fabulous, buffets were better. Spa was fantastic, staff were amazing worth every penny.

At the pool/beach buffet Maura and Ingrid work. They are the sweetest and most efficient servers we have met. Remembering what we drank every morning, making us feel very special, and always smiling. The Ambar should be very proud to have them on their staff as they are exceptionally hard working ladies

Very nice hotel/resort. Request to add more vegetarian main courses in lunch/dinner for vegetarian family like us so one can enjoy more. Request to have Fiesta Dominicana show twice a week and should be free.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Fabulous Resort

We had an amazing time. The resort and the grounds are very well maintained. The food was tasty and the entertainers worked very hard to keep everyone engaged in the evening. We particularly enjoyed the beach and being able to snorkel, we saw quite a few fish, including a sting ray. This resort is a great option for families. We will definitely return.
