Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Excellent place for vacation.

We had a great time. Well keep place staff where amazing. The only thing that I had an issue was the Le carte were not all free. It was an all incluse vacation but 2 of the dinners. The best food on the menu you had to pay for. The Japanese restaurant was amazing and all free.

We really enjoyed this resort, but the best part was the food. I have never seen such a selection in my life. And the quality was the same. The resort is a bit too big so there is too much walking to get to the beach and food, but that was the price too pay for quiet. A nicer view would be good too. Bottom line, we would love to come back.

All Ritmo Cancun Resort And Waterpark: Great for the Price

Good hotel for the price. Location is quiet and family friendly but far from the main hotel strip. Rooms are big and clean. Staff is helpful and friendly. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed!

The resort was very nice...everything there you would want or need...the only complaint was the bad odors in certain places as you are walking around the grounds....smelled like sewer......sea weed was a terrible problem for them this year ..so we were told......the pools are beautiful..we as older clients would like to have heard some oldie music and dancing in the evenings.....need more mixture of music and a little more lively in the evenings in the lounge ........don't need to take beach tow [... read more]els,shampoo,body wash,hair blower,.......there are stores on the resort if you did forget anything.......went down town on a shuttle bus for $6.00 each way... picks you up in the front lobby....last one to return to resort is at 6pm or you can get a taxi for $30.00 ..we found the prices much better in the store to the left as you come out of the jewelery store where they drop you off at the back of the store...but there is a Wal Mart down the street on 10th ave. At the very end to the right....I was a little nervous to go but really no need to be.... I will definitely go back again.....great vacation.....week wasn't long enough ....we were in building 6 ,room 6322,I think it was the newer section..... King size bed,very comfortable....room was beautiful...the quiet pool is near there but the beach and larger pool is quite a walk or you can be picked up with the trolleys .

Hotel and grounds were very nice. The food was great except the Italian restaurant. the entertainment was amazing, probably my favourite part. The beach was nice, except for the seaweed. The pools looked very nice but never went in them. The drinks were awesome and the wait staff was too.

We just returned from an eleven day stay at the BlueBay Grand Esmerelda and are pleased to report that the staff at this resort are amazing. Each and every one constantly wore a smile and went out of their way to help us. A special thank you to Augustin who works at the beach restaurant. We ate primarily at the a la carte restaurants (of which there are 6) and w [... read more]ere never disappointed. The Steakhouse and the Italian Restaurants were our 2 favorites. We actually ate at each of these twice. (No restrictions on how many times you can eat at the a la cartes) Many people seem to complain about the beach but we didn't have any problem with it. Yes there is seaweed but it is frequently raked up (early in the morning and then constantly through the day). There is some of the "towel tag" where people are staking out prime spots early but we never had an issue finding a decent spot. There were two things with the pool that we found a bit disappointing. No swim up bar and no real deep end. The entire pool is only 3 feet deep. (other than one small wading pool area for kiddies). But, as with the beach, it was never too hard to find a good spot to relax. Night life was quite typical of the all inclusives in the Mayan Riviera, but we were there more for the beach and the pool relaxation side of things. All in all a very enjoyable place to spend a week or so.

Overall the pool grounds restaurants were clean an beautiful beach was with seaweed but otherwise very good, buffets at lunch breakfast were very satisfying an at dunner plenty of good food, lots of pool entertainment which was fabulous

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: No beach

If you are a beach and ocean person this is not the resort for you. Pools large but very little shade. Food good...no issues. Staff friendly . Black and white bar very noisy in the evening. No lobby bar. Rooms basic,beds comfortable but noise echoes in halls so bring ear plugs for sleeping. We did smell a horrible raw sewage smell outside the lobby on the morning we were leaving. Not one of my favorite resorts in the mayan.

Keep in mind this is a 4 start Dominican rating, if you go knowing what that star offers, you will not have too many unexpected surprises. The hotel entrance is very welcoming and so are the staff. Everyone there is very friendly, and they all provide service with a smile. The buffet restaurant offers something for everyone with good quality food, the breakfast omelette bar was a big hit. You have to pay for wifi, I bought $25 for 25 hours, which was enough for 2 people. The umbrellas at pool were a hot commodity, people would come out at 6:30 a, put there towel on a chair beside the umbrella and leave for 2 or 3 hours, the hotel says not to do this, but nobody seem to stop them. The pool area could be a little cleaner, but I have seen worse. The beach was nice and there was always a place to sit when we went down. The Gym is like a small home gym with only 4 pieces of equipment; a treadmill, elliptical, and a bike along with some free weights (some were missing). The animation team are very entertaining and energetic and of course friendly. If you are looking for a vacation to kick back, sit in the sun, relax, drink, eat,dance and/or relax, then this is the place for you!.

We loved the resort, the food ,staff ,pools ,grounds were so great and we just loved the Blue Bay.we found the staff so friendly and so willing to help. The grounds are very well kept ,food was amazing,everything so clean.

The foliage was the best part. Special lighting, textiles and accents made this resort feel luxurious. Lost a beach bag with camera, cell phone and wallet.. all was returned home two weeks after trip!

Although we had a few glitches upon arrival and for the first few days, mostly with the desk staff regarding our room (we were to get a balcony) and safe (it didn't work for 3 days), overall we are very happy to say we were MORE THAN PLEASED with the staff in the dining room, in particular Pedro Hernandez who went over and above the call of duty to make our holiday, dinners and evenings stand out. We enjoyed our lunches at the beach restaurant, very yummy chicken. We also enjoyed our A La Carte dining experience at the Chinese Restaurant & look forward to trying the other A La Carte restaurants on our next visit. The entertainment/activity staff were also very friendly and fun to watch. We enjoyed their enthusiasm and presentation of various activities. The New Year's Eve dinner, show and music were absolutely amazing as were the fireworks. We danced the night away on the beach until 3:00 am. with no shortage of bubbly. Sam and I experienced our best New Year's Eve ever. Thank you for such a wonderful evening & great memories. The bar staff was always very accommodating and most were very friendly as well, always keeping us smiling and never dry lol. The swim up bar and beach bar staff were especially friendly. The beach was great as was the water. Every day we walked along the beach visiting neighbouring resorts and noticed that ours', Blue Bay, was the nicest beach of all. The staff on the beach were always accommodating, always finding us chairs if we couldn't find one. The only drawback was the constant popping up of peddlers on the beach selling things, we would be approached at least 10 times a day. The resort itself was very clean and well maintained. The pool area was very nice and the pool was always kept clean. The rooms were neat and tidied daily. On a few days however we did not get fresh face cloths/towels, soap and shampoo. Overall, we would definitely recommend this resort to our friends and we would like to come back ourselves. We are thinking however that we would like to look at a Villa, if not a Villa definitely insist on a room with a balcony with less stairs. We enjoyed our stay immensely, met some great new friends. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Super Clean!

We just returned from this resort and it was everything they said it was. Super clean absolutely everywhere you go on this resort, be it in the buffet restaurants or just walking through the immense acreage. The gardeners really show their pride with manicured lawns and beautiful hybiscus hedges. The people working at this resort, (and there are many to look after your needs) were so friendly and eager to go out of their way to help or serve you. The quality and presentation of the food in the a la carte restaurants would rival any top notch high class restaurant. I would recommend this resort to anyone wanting to come to the Blue Bay Grand Esmerelda to either explore, shop or relax.

Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel: Good resort and very relaxing

The resort is very good for those looking for privacy and relaxation. The food can be improved (there are not so many options for vegans and vegetarians or no healthy options for those who are on a diet), also some of the food items are just fried in vegetable oil (not a good option).

Upon arrival at check-in we were giving keys to our room and told our luggage would be taken shortly. We did not know where to go, and being tired from flight, we felt it was not a welcoming atmosphere. Other resorts welcome you with a special drink, take you to your room along with luggage. We had specified an upper floor with King Size bed. We were giving a very dark room on lower floor. It felt like being in the basement with absolutely no view. We insisted on changing room, then they gave us [... read more] a room on fourth floor with double beds. Better than dark dingy room, but one of the bed, the mattress was in very poor condition. One big dip in middle... Just awful... The grounds were very nice and so were pools. Bar service was very slow, often just one or two bartenders to serve long line-ups. We felt they did it on purpose to save on drinks, as we often just gave up and went without... Food and service at buffet and restaurants were fine. The Italian Restaurant was by far our favorite! The beach front is not nice at all, but we were told that and we expected it. Beach should be rated a 2 star, but would rate the pool area a 5 star if bar service be improved! Overall as it is, I feel it is more like a border line 3 star, but has lots of potential if they would improve service and update mattresses in rooms. Staff were friendly, except for reception upon arrival.

Beautiful resort, well laid out, good food, average beach , very nice pool. Close to Playa Del Carmen. Fun bars and ggod variety at buffets. A la cartes were average Will definetly recommend. Blue Bay rocks

We enjoyed our stay at this resort and would go back without any hesitation. The grounds were beautiful! The food was very good in the ala carte restaurants as well as the buffet. The rooms were clean and we had no complaints with our accommodations. The beach area was the only negative of our trip but we knew that from tripadvisor when we booked.

All Ritmo Cancun Resort And Waterpark: Great place to take kids!!

We took our kids for the first time and this was a great place to take them!! It was a small resort(155 rooms) so i sodntbhave to worry about them getting lost, good variety of food, nice and clean, AWESOME STAFF!! They were very friendly and interactive with the children!! The pool was fun and lots of activities for the kids. The beach wasn't great they did their best to clean seaweed every day but there was still always seawed in the water. everything about this place is amazing, you have your own personal concierge in each building. it is very clean and you and don't even get me started on how good the food is. the only drawback about this resort is that it smells like sewage when you are walking to the beach but the beauty of this hotel and staff outweigh any negatives it has I recommend this hotel every person who wants to go to Rivera Maya
