JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Good

Hotel was good, food was good only at the buffet, the food at the restaurants was not good, service was extremely poor at the restaurants..It was a waste of time going to the restaurants. The beach is not good. This hotel is too far from everything and its difficult to travel with kids.

This was my third stay at an AMresort property. The hotel grounds were beautiful and well maintained, rooms were nice and food was good (although a bit inconsistent). We found the buffet to be our best bet when it came to meals since we were traveling with a big group. We managed to switch our room from Building 5 to Building 2 which had a much better ocean view vs jungle room view. However, if you’d like to see monkeys come to your balcony stick with Building 5! While most of us prefer the be [... read more]ach we chose to stay poolside for the majority of the trip since the water was cold and we are used to the Caribbean Sea. Overall, a great family trip. Keep in mind this isn’t the place to be if you’re looking for a hotel in a central location since it’s far from a lot of tourist attractions and excursions and the hotel is pretty quiet at night.

The rooms were great but the mountain view was not the best. We would have preferred a view of the beach. The service was exceptional, and the people were kind and helpful. The buffet had a great variety of food. Could have had more steamed veggies for those who are wary of eating raw foods.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Day Dreaming

This was our 3rd trip to Dreams & the grounds were as amazing as always. It’s a very mature resort with huge palms and clean, well groomed shrubs and plant life. Staff was friendly but didn’t seem to be as engaged as previous visits. Menus were good, food was fresh. Highly recommend the Preferred Club option for its perks. Worth it. Uvero Alto is beautiful corner of the D.R. Highly recommend visiting Dreams and experiencing this resort.

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Dreams Las Mareas beauty, service and solitude

Dreams Las Mareas is a fine resort in the remote mountains of Costa Rica. Service was excellent and amenities just fine for a smaller resort. Given the resort is away from the hustle and bustle of other areas and a bit smaller than we are used to, the entertainment was adequate but nothing special lacking full shows and 24 hour party. Daily activities were just average with the slide and trampoline open for limited times. Other than the entertainment or the lack of a warm Caribbean beach, the resort is amazing. Pools were beautiful, food and gardens abundant. We were there for 10 days with an 11 year old and did 3 full day excursions. Deep sea fishing was awesone. The areas of Jobo and La Cruz quite stunning and remote as is the day at Buena Vista. Dreams does not cater to a busy Caribbean vacation if you are looking for that. We did do a full day tour down to Tarmindo, Flamingo and Coco beaches and found the water was much warmer but the traffic and garbage a bit distracting and very touristy..... Dreams is a quality resort and the service, location (other than blue warm water), food and did I say service? was excellent. Staff do say It's a Pleasure. which is nice.. but Dreams is a newer resort and needs to find something that makes them "special" or "stand out" from others.....like focusing on the uniqueness of the area maybe...eco -boutique hotel in the mountains and maybe cater to environmental conscious people by offering recycling and not using straws or plastic and wasting so many dishes etc.. Great place to visit!

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Wonderful family trip

Resort is beautiful, lots of pools and kids will love the waterpark. Pool entertainment staff are awesome and the restaurants for dinner offer a wife variety, plus they have a coffee and ice cream shop

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Very over-rated

We booked a swim out room because the brochure stated that there were no children allowed to stay in these rooms for safety reasons; we thought that at least we would be spared noise, temper tantrums etc by booking one of these rooms. No such luck, children were allowed in any room including these; I saw as many as three children and two adults in a swim out room; no idea how many were crammed into other rooms. The adjoining hotel which was billed as family suites had as many as six children in  [... read more]these rooms; needless to say the beach area was at a premium all of the time. Don't believe the brochure when it states that no towels can be put on chairs before 8:00am, try 6:30am and earlier, no towels are ever moved. There are four restaurants and a buffet, don't expect great service at the buffet restaurant unless you are willing to tip even for water, I got my own more than once! The other four a la carte restaurants were slightly better, although the French restaurant had all three courses out at once the first time we ate there, the second time we slowed them down deliberately; but, still there were two courses on the table at the same time. No children are allowed in this restaurant, so it was relatively peaceful, unlike the others, where children were allowed to run free and interrupt other diners. Trying to get something repaired in your room is a major challenge, my husband and I were quite sick our first week there ( not the fault of the hotel ); we went to bed early as we were very much under the weather; as such we would have enjoyed watching some TV; but, our TV did not work and it took a great deal of complaining and six days to get it rectified; to me this was unacceptable. No sooner had this been looked after for us we had an employee remove our lounge chairs from our patio without permission throwing my towels, swimsuits and even laundry on the floor, at this point I really had come to the end of being easygoing and pleasant. This hotel is listed as a high quality hotel, rooms food service etc. ; definitely not in my estimation.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Relaxing times at Puerto Aventuras

Friendly staff makes you feel at home and taken care of. Nice setting where everything is within a 3 minutes walk from your bedroom. Good food quality and variety. A few special events keeps some novelty. Could update some facilities, especially kids and sport equipment and infrastructure. Great for families with very young kids.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Dreaming ....again !

We were on a 10th anniversary trip with 20 others who attended the wedding at Dreams 10 years ago. The grounds are even better than before with plenty of palapas on the beach. Food is excellent still and they have added a pizza oven, washroom and bar at the far end of the beach :) The waves and wind are consistent, but if you have small children, the Bavaro Beach is better. The pool though for kids is awesome, as it winds it's way through the resort with plenty of bays.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: CHFI Dreams Punta Cana Trip

The hotel grounds are beautiful. This is the first resort we have been to which has brief, interesting descriptions about the plants, flamingos and gold fish. A very nice touch. Jesus, reception staff, was very helpful and courteous. Once checked in and in our room I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call telling us our luggage was on the way. The lounge itself was great in that it served as a quite place to relax outside of the hotel room. Wait staff were friendly. Emilia Reyes, housekeeping, always had a big smile and a hello. We certainly have no complaints as far as the cleanliness of our room is concerned. The food was good. We had some exceptional meals; sea bass at lunch at Oceania, Japanese and Portifino, where the sommelier was helpful with our wine selection.

The grounds are immaculate and extremely well Kept; they are mowing and racking on a daily basis; the room was clean and well kept; they even turn you bed down at night (that was nice). Oh my Gosh the Staff; (awesome, extremely friendly staff) we were well catered too; (Loved the attention and service received) it was service with a bid hearty smite. Staff was very attentive. Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Wonderful resort, airport and air transat terrible

Beautiful resort! Friendly service! Fun spots and lots of quiet relaxing areas too! Rooms were comfortable and clean. Unfortunately extremely long lineups at the airport would influence our decision to go back.

Dreams Huatulco: Love this resort! We'll be back.

Beautiful beach, good food, clean facilities, and excellent service. Weather was fabulous every day. Super quiet resort that's good for older adults and families. Would be boring for party crowd. The staff are super accommodating. Only complaint was lack of shaded chairs at pool and beach. Too hot for full sun and we love heat. People were getting up at 6 am to save chairs and then never show up. We really enjoyed our vacay and wished we were there longer.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Fantastic People and Place

I just wanted to start off this review by mentioning the fact that this was my wife and I’s first ever all-inclusive vacation at a southern resort. We were very impressed by how the grounds were maintained and with the overall appearance of the resort. The dedication and professionalism of the staff had a considerable influence on our overall experience. The entire staff was very friendly and extremely courteous, which resulted in exceptional service. We would like to make mention of a few mem [... read more]bers who stood out during our stay… we were never left wanting for something at the buffet thanks to our server Emilio; Carlos from pool maintenance went out of his way to find us lounge chairs, a table and umbrella and set them up for us at our location of choice near the pool everyday; Super Luis from the entertainment team always kept us well informed of what was going on and we shared many laughs with him during our time at the resort; and lastly Eliezer from VIP services who made us feel welcome at the resort and ensured we were continuously enjoying our stay. The food was great; we ate at a different a la carte restaurant each night and even revisited a couple that we particularly enjoyed (Seaside Grill & Portofino). We had breakfast at the buffet everyday and were very impressed with the endless food options. The evening shows put on by the entertainment team were very enjoyable and some were even outstanding. The only complaint my wife and I had was that the quality of and view from our room in building 9 was lackluster. I wanted to add, the service we received from our travel agent Marnie Slavic was excellent. She took care of everything for us and gladly answered the many questions we had as first-time vacationers. We would highly recommend this resort and would visit again.

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing Stay!

We traveled in a group of 4 and had an incredible time. All the amenities were as advertised and our stay was unforgettable. The staff was friendly and attentive. The beach is beautiful and CLEAN. Food was not only good but varied which meant all 7 days of our stay were different. The hotel has adventure planners on site which helped us a lot for our excursions. We would definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Great Resort but needs a little love!

The grounds were very well maintained at Dreams Punta Cana, including the public bathrooms. The employees work really hard to keep all food and toilet areas clean. The staff was very pleasant and worked hard too. From our perspective, the room we had was run down. The sliding door did not work properly, the shower head kept falling (did not stay upright) and the room could have been kept cleaner in the bathroom. The room looked tired and worn out. Needs updating and fixing. As well, we got [... read more] a room with an adjoining door. It felt like the other couple was in our room it was so loud.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: 5 star all the way

This was our first time in Punta Cana and I have to say that this resort was beyond amazing. The food in every restaurant was great. The staff here goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The Pool is the largest I have ever seen, it just keep going and going. The nightly shows where packed full all the time. Never a dull moment here. Each day it seemed like we found a new part of the resort. I would HIGHLY recommend Dreams Punta Cana to everyone (oh wait I have been)

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: clean resort

Clean, friendly and helpful staff always smiling, awesome a la cartes! We had water damage in our room (ground floor and 2nd floor shower was draining into our room - shower/bathtub area, wall and hallway) the maintenance guy called the front desk to explain and put me on the phone with reception and they offered an upgraded suite for our last two days for the inconvenience which was very impressive. Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Fantastic Resort

My wife an I really enjoyed our time at this resort. The staff was friendly and very helpful for anything you needed. The rooms were in very good condition and kept very clean by the staff. The food was some of the best I have had at a resort and I really liked there no reservation policy it made it very easy to have dinner at the specialty restaurants. Overall it was one of our more enjoyable vacations.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: VERY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT

The resort itself is pretty decent. The room are fairly clean. I just think that the room upgrade is very expensive. The staff though were very kind, friendly and thoughtful. We had to move to a different shoreline because the beach area of the resort is close to the reef which makes it very hard to enjoy the waves. It was very rocky and u can see fish swimming.
