Having stayed at adjacent Riu Sante Fe twice before, this was a nice upgrade! The food quality was quite a bit better . Nicest change was to get rid of the early morning reservations to get the alacarte restaurants. Instead it was first come first serve, and if you weren't early enough for first seating, they gave you a buzzer/blinker, to let you know when table is ready. Very clean resort, and good staff! Location is great, about a 20 minute walk along beach to the Marina. Spa was disappointing[... read more] as steam room was't working. Bar drinks were quite good, although wine could still be improved. I usually brought my own, ( 5 minute walk to Walmart, for good selection and reasonable price) the buffet was often a better choice than the alacarte, although bee loved the Mexican rest.

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Definitely worth visiting
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Cabo for one week. It was a very clean, comfortable, centrally located hotel which was very well maintained. The hotel is older however the grounds, beach, 3 pool areas, restaurants and facilities are great. You can not swim in the ocean however other beaches are available close-by. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and very polite. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to San Jose which is worth visiting. Definitely a hotel I would stay at again.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Nice Resort... bad airline!!!! - Sunwing
Loved the resort but I will never fly Sunwing again!!! I thought a charter wouldn't be much different than a main stream airline. However, really bad start when I was singled out to weigh my carry-on. I had a normal sized carry-on that weighed 8 kgs....that's 17.6 lbs. Apparently Sunwings maximum weight for carry-on is 5kgs...thats 11 lbs !!!!! WTF? All other airlines are 22 lbs. My girlfriends carry-on was much larger and weighed 20.2 lbs but they never weighed hers???. There were many, many[... read more] people with large carry-ons that never were weighed. Now I'm not complaining about the cost as there was none to check it but I had packed it as I needed some items in my carry on. Next, was the space between the seats. Now Im 6' and 195lbs, so fairly normal and it was the most uncomfortable flight ever. I don't know how larger people survived the flight. Later someone told me that they modified the airplane to get more people on it. I felt like an animal in a transport truck. Oh and you better take a ipad with a downloaded movie as they still have the drop down screens from the 1980's. Hopefully you don't get one that drops down right above your head. Our 6 days at the resort were great the two flying were something I would like to forget. Oh and BTW, I don't think our pilot was drunk.

Riu Santa Fe: A great stay!
The grounds and rooms were exceptionally clean. It would be nice if we could make reservations for the a la carte dinners; they removed the reservations and you had to wait in line at 5:30 to get a seat.

The hotel was nice, clean, affordable and the staff was super fun and friendly. Rooms were kept great all plugs etc worked. The buffet food was moderate to good. The ala carte restaurant was amazing. Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Terrible resort
The Bel Air Hotel was sincerely below what we expected. The hotel was lacking food, hot water, and service. What made it worse was the attitude of staff that just did not care to help you out. This was our first vacation as a couple and we sincerely regret spending 1860 at this resort as it ruined our Christmas and our first experience of vacationing together. First night, dec 24 we had to line up at the restaurant as they were at capacity to be told the wait was 30
Minutes but if we paid 50 u[... read more]sd dollars then we could get service. We opted for burgers at the sushi bar. The water in the room was luke warm, when asked for a remote control
for the air conditioning we were told they don't have any and When asked how they then it off, the response was "I am
Not lazy I just get up and do it". The food at the buffet was poor and undercooked. They were lacking most of the dishes we would ask for. For example they would bring us a burger with no bun because they had ran out of buns. I love using trip central to book vacation but I would honestly say this is not a resort to be advertised on your website.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Resort was satisfactory
Beds were uncomfortable. The buffets meals were ok. The Al a carte restaurant was good. I have been to several Royal Decamerons in the past and sadly this location failed in comparison. There is potential if they replace the mattresses change the artwork in the hallways ( left over from previous resort) and add a little more variety to the buffet.

Riu Santa Fe: Best Vacation Ever!!
Absolutely loved our stay at the Riu Santa Fe. Blew our expectations out of the water. We had a room with a great view of the interior pool, and the main grounds of the resort. We were on the top floor so we could also see a beautiful view of the city in the horizon and had a beautiful view of the sunrise in the morning.
Rooms were very clean, tiled floors/shower and a double sink with granite counter tops. The drinks in the mini fridge were restocked every couple days, but we were shocked to[... read more] find another mini bar with 4 full bottles of hard liquor that you could help yourself to.
The units in the resort were thoroughly cleaned daily, the grounds were clean and maintained daily as well. The main walkways were always washed throughout the day and the maids kept hallways and stairways swept, mopped, and dusted before we were even up for the day!
The food was good, always a wide selection to chose from! From a salad bar, to fruit and dessert or chicken, fish, mashed potatoes and gravy, pasta, soup...etc.
We did find that you had to be at the a la carte's very early to get into the restaurants. *(Steakhouse is definitely worth your while)*
The beach was clean and nice. However, the sand was not very soft and not fun to walk on for a long period of time. The ocean was fun to be in but you had to go in with caution as the waves and undertow was strong. We did walk left up the beach that took us to these big rocks. beautiful view. and we also walked right which took us to a marina. If you kept walking there were many shops, a mall, restaurants, tequila tasting, etc. Made for a fun day, but sore muscles the next!!
The view from the beach was amazing!! I loved looking out , whether you were sitting having drinks in the infinity pools or you were on the beach you could look out and see the beautiful view of lovers arch.
Pools were cleaned and maintained. Pool location for everyone...Family pool towards the middle of the resort where it was more quiet . Or if you wanted to enjoy drinks there were a few pools with a swim up bar. There was a pool for daily entertainment...Depends how you felt that day, you could chose where you wanted to hang!
The bars are clean, drinks are great and a great selection to chose from, and the service of the bartenders were fun and inviting.
Night shows were fun to watch, they also had a "pre show" that got the kids involved too! (and it was fun to watch the kids having a good time as well)
We had the best vacation at the Riu Santa Fe, and we highly recommend it to anyone. But more so, individuals or couples that are ready to drink and party as we found the majority of the age group was between 18 and 30.
We had the best time, made the best friends and created the best memories. Thanks for the recommendation . We cant wait to return!!!

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Fun in the Sun in Cabo!
My wife and I spend 7 days at the Riu Palace in Cabo, and the entire experience was wonderful. The Resort had just recently re-opened after being remodelled.
We found the resort in next to new condition. We had a Junior Suite (#1112) which had a gigantic bed, great bathroom, and a nice sitting area. The room was clean, well maintained and the fridge and bar was well stocked. Our room was on the "Activity Side" of the resort, so we could hear music from the Show Lounge in the evening up until i[... read more]t closed at 11pm. The buffets for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner were quite good. There was lots of variety and everything we tried tasted good. We attended all of the ala carte restaurants except the Mexican one. We enjoyed all of them as the food and service was great. We found that the swimming pools were a bit cool, not sure if they were heated???

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Nobarbarat much good to say
First the good. The staff try hard. The grounds are lovely.
Now the rest. There are only one buffet and one other restaurant. I am a WINE drinker, non of the bars carry wine????? The buffet does and sometime the other restaurant but not always. Two nights a week only the buffet is open. I suppose it is for staffing reasons.
One evening at the buffet as it was the only one open, Perrin asked for a vodka and tonic only to be told they only have wine, beer, soda and lemonade. WHY??????
T[... read more]he resort caters to Mexicans and therefore 99% of the food is for their taste not mine. Also most staff speak only spanish. WE DONâ€t
Once upon arrival you are told to not flush toilet paper down the toilet but to put it into the basket after your business is done. HOW GROSS.
They do have an adult only pool but you must go up a large flight of stairs, no elevator, so for us it was a no go. Perrin has mobility problems.
I would be hard pressed to return to this location as the choices are so large where there are many other places that would appreciate my business.
Prices are so varied at this location. Spoke to many people that paid a whole lot less than we did. I do not think we spoke to one person that paid more although some may have.
Of all the people we spoke to only two said they would return. Not a great recommendation for them
Apparently they have sent a manager from another Royal DeCameron to do manage control. I wished him luck as he has a very big job ahead of him.

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Quiet resort
Check in was very fast and the girls at the front desk are very helpful and knowledgable. No problems what-so-ever!
The grounds at this resort are beautiful. 4 pools...an adult pool that is around the other side of the hotel making it very private and quiet. The activity pool, a kiddie pool and a family pool, all very clean and very nice.
We had a poolfront lanai room, (nice spacious room with GREAT beds) facing the adult pool, which I would highly recommend, they have a hammock and table [... read more]and chairs and a very short walk to the pool.
This is a very quiet resort and there really isnt alot to do there if you want to party. You would need to go into town or to Cabos San Lucas. They do offer a pub crawl on certain nights. But we enjoyed the relaxing quiet atmosphere.
The beach chairs are VERY far from the ocean and the sand is rocky and not so nice to walk in. BUT if you are going to Cabo you know the ocean is off limits except for certain cove areas.
The food was good, not always hot at the buffet but very good in the ala cart restuarant. Victor is THE BEST EVER server and can speak perfect english.
The staff are are very very friendly, never grumpy or rude.
Right outside the gates of the hotel is a horse rental place. $40 for an hour on the beach ride. The horses are in great shape and Edwardo is a very friendly nice guide. Do this if you get a chance....amazing galloping in the water down the beach!!
I would recommend this resort but keep in mind it is a quiet resort, I am 50 and I was one of the younger people in the crowd.

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Barcelo gran faro los cabos
This is a great resort if your thinking mexico san jose los cabos..I had booked all inclusive. We had arrived before check in and recieved an upgrade but had to wait for the room which was ok as we were able to go eat at the buffet for lunch and get a firsthand look at the resort. There are 3 big pools and 2 hot tub pools...one hottub adult only. The pools were all warm and one is a saltwater infinity pool overlooking the beach which was groomed everymorning and very fine sand. The food at the buffets changed daily and was all very good.I found the room to be clean and comfortable..fridge wasnt working on arrival but changed out within the hour only to quit 3 days later..but i never asked to have it replaced..They had wash sponges in the bathroom but washcloths were only seen twice in 7 days.Other than that the service was good by all the staff. I found it odd when the entertainment team was going around asking to write a review for trip advisor in exchange for hotel services.. i wrote a review and they wouldnt honor their deal with me because i never gave it 5 stars.Regardless of that i thought it was a great resort..very quiet and laid back during my stay and food was allways great as was the staff..the grounds and pools are highly maintained and i really had no major complaints. Riu Santa Fe: Great Resort
Fantastic resort, overall. Extremely clean and well maintained, amazing food (only issue is that it was extremely hard to get into a specialty restaurant for dinner because they didn't take reservations and only one of four were open per evening. In any case, buffet was always on point as a backup dine in spot. Beach was nice (sand hard on feet and waves were high) and water was cold but tolerable because sun was so hot during the day. It was cold (sweaters and track pants) by night. Gym was oka[... read more]y but not the best - missing dumbbells, and machines weren't all functional but good enough to get a reasonable workout in. Staff was really great (some extra helpful and personable even) and for those cautious about theft, just be smart about your belongings and keep an eye on things.

Riu Santa Fe: Nice Pools/Terrible Food
The good- very clean, nice pools, beautiful views
The bad- food was far, far below standard, that was if you were lucky enough to find a restaurant open. Rarely was there ever more than 1 restaurant open per night. Bars in the main open area where empty because they never were open until later in the night. The sports bar food is simply not suitable for any person to consume. A large resort normally is not a problem however when most bars/restaurants are closed it was very annoying. The vodka i[... read more]s like rubbing alcohol so don't expect top shelf. Staff were not organized when it came to check out. If your leaving flight is later in the day Riu does not offer a room to hold your luggage. You put it in the main open lobby area and staff won't watch it. As a result we carried laptops/passport/valuables with us for 5 hours. Sunwing was delayed several hours leaving as they had a mechanical problem and had to get another plane. The plane was so old that the armrest had built in ashtrays and forget the movie option as that didn't work either. Don't expect to eat anything on a 5+ hour flight unless you have a credit card (no cash excepted). On the way back we were delayed again on the tarmac for over an hour at 2 a.m.
