Riu Flamingos: So so resort

Grounds,public areas and rooms kept clean,this was our second time at this resort, they improved in some areas but for the most part it was the same as last year.the entertainment was not interesting, all in all the whole resort was way too loud for our liking.The food was bland and uninteresting.this resort may be more for the younger crowd not for older retirees.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Very good resort

We really enjoyed our time at Dreams PV. I stayed in the Preferred Club section, and I am not sure the upgrade was worthwhile for me. It allows you to enjoy a bar on the second floor (I don't drink) and there are some snacks and foods set out in the lobby all day long. The M& Ms in the room were a nice touch, but I would not pay for the upgrade next time. The pools were great, and so was the beach.This was a family resort, so lots of kids. If you wanted to use the sister resort right next do [... read more]or (Secrets) you had to pay. You also had to pay to go to the restaurants on the Secrets side. So the two resorts are quite separate, and you are not allowed to just grab a lounge chair on the other side. We loved the coffee shop! Great coffee served as well as snacks all day long. The service staff were truly great. All in all, I liked the resort. They do try to upsell you a lot. Some restaurants have special areas (eg. the second floor overlooking the ocean) that you can only go to if you buy a bottle of wine. Aside from the many times they tried to upsell us, the resort is great.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Amazing Resort

Milea is a amazing resort. So much variety in food. La carte palapa and Mexican restaurants were vey good international and national drinks are available and soft drinks too. Most of all people were so nice and always keep you happy. Location is very very good so close to marina and airport.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Amazing

Great staff, food, drinks and very clean. Views are stunning. Could use more lounge chairs and definitely more hand sanitizers outside elevators and throughout resort. Is there a discount for repeat guests?

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Has definitely declined since Covid.

The rooms are kept very clean but are worn and need some updating. Housekeeping is amazing!!!! Staff as always are pleasant and friendly. Language is never a barrier here. They may not speak much English but communication is fun and friendly. Bar staff are always amazing, friendly and with a ready smile! Food is not the high point in this resort. Selection and culinary skills have declined whether due to food costs or shortages, we spent a lot more money on eating elsewhere than we ever have  [... read more]on any other vacation. You never would go hungry but the menu is extremely repetitious and is the same in all buffets. With this all being said the DeCameron is not a 5 star resort and you do get what you pay for. Other than the food issue I would not hesitate to go back.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Very nice

The resort is relatively small which we liked. The pool is large and the beach is nice too. It does get very busy at the pool (obviously) and sometimes there is not enough chairs to go round. I would have liked a separate adults only section as there were a lot of children there and the pool was large enough to have separate areas. The rooms are spacious with balcony and the bathroom is also very large. The shower was powerful and shampoo, condition and shower gel are provided. My favourite  [... read more]part is the towels are a proper size, a good size bath sheet not one of the silly towels you get usually in a hotel which barely fits round me! So that alone is worth 5 stars! The staff are all super nice and friendly. Aqua aerobics in the pool with Sergio and Charlie every day was great fun. And Juan doing the beach drinks was very sweet. The food was very inconsistent but there was plenty of it, so you won’t go hungry. Coffee is nice and juices and a good selection of baked goods. Nightly entertainment was good, we went to a great magic show. The resort was quiet from about 11pm which suited us.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Relaxing but….

Very friendly staff slightly makes up for poor supervision and management. Wine list changed but no list or knowledge of what was available. Speciality restaurants were inconsistent and made the decision to go off site on our last night an easy one. Great beach but not enough loungers for everyone.

Velas Vallarta: Accommodating services

I did not participate in any of the activities on the resort . I utilized the services of room service for food delivery, which was prompt , sealed and tasty. They have numerous wheelchairs available for use at the resort and the staff to assist in transporting, if necessary. The staff very pleasant and helpful. The studio rooms do not have a balcony and is just like a bachelorette appt with cooking stuff (fridge, microwave, stove top, etc etc ) the resort allows off resort health providers  [... read more]to come and provide care .

Crown Paradise Golden: Exceptional service!

We had a fantastic time! The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. A great adult only resort for the price. Close to the airport, stores and right on the beach. The beach could use umbrellas and a little more variety at the buffet, but overall a wonderful stay.

Riu Flamingos: Big busy Hotel

It was way too big,Just a huge great super busy maze chock full of people. Rooms clean. Staff helpful. Long long walk with lots of stairs to the room (which was quiet) Food would have been great had we been Mexican. Very little we could eat as Canadians. Was a good deal for the money though and a welcome break. Wouldn’t do this hotel again but really not anything to blame the hotel for. Also covid masking and all mentioning was thankfully non existent everywhere, airports, hotels, buses, nothi [... read more]ng. Awesome.

Canto Del Sol: First solo trip

I chose Canto for my first solo trip because of its location and size. It was perfect. My room was great - central to everything and had a nice partial ocean view and pool view (no balcony however). The food is good - buffet is not huge and not a lot of variety but tasty. I ate at the Japanese, Italian and Surf and Turf. All were good but Italian was probably the best. Loved the octopus ceviche. There was some nightly entertainment. Could do without the karaoke and trivia but the bands playing in the lobby were awesome for 2 nights. There was one show in the conference room behind the lobby bar... great entertainers but not very comfortable in that room. There was only one show outside on the stage by the ocean as this area hosted weddings for 3 nights and surf and turf meal 1 night. Most days had no trouble getting a chair at the pool except when the weekend arrived and so did many, many locals (for the weddings). My biggest complaint is the beach. There were no huts or umbrellas or even loungers available when I arrived. I love laying by the ocean so this was a big deal for me and many others. By Wednesday the palapas appeared and then by the weekend the loungers were back - very few so impossible to find one open. Some said the old palapas were damaged by the storm so perhaps my visit was just bad timing. The beach is very small and rocky as well. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. People who work there were all very nice but I don't know if I would return because of the beach.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Old resort that could use to be updated.

The grounds were fine but most of the common areas were very run down. The wait staff at the buffets for the most part were quite good but the staff behind the counters were sometimes rude. Certainly wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone I like.

Samba Vallarta: Surprise!

Resort was very clean. The staff were helpful and very kind. The beach was amazing. Food was ok. We were expecting something similar to other 4 star resorts we have stayed at in Mexico. Surprise - Many staff, spoke little to no English, which has it's challenges when you don't speak any Spanish. We were lucky that we were with a friend who spoke Spanish. The food was not great. Most of the other patrons spoke Spanish so you couldn't chat with them. The pool was being renovated so a [... read more] jack hammer caused all sorts of noise for the entire trip. The water in the portion of the pool that they had open was dirty and the pool crowded. Most of the entertainment was in Spanish so you couldn't understand. The rooms were old with lots of rust around the tub, it looked like mold but was probably rust because the rooms were clean. The doors and windows did not keep the sound out so you could always hear someone in the hall or in the room next to you. Entertainment went until after midnight and you couldn't escape the noise. Trip Central said the resort was a 4 star. I think this is misleading. It is a 3 star hotel at best.

Dreams Bahia Mita Surf and Spa: Was an absolute Dream

This resort is amazing, food, drinks, pools, beautiful flowers and amazing scenery. Stand out staff one in particular Francisco our pool waiter he was amazing and our drinks were nonstop all day long. He even brought us food and a surprise dessert platter on our last day complete with a personal message.

Riu Flamingos: Amazing food.

The grounds are beautiful. The pool is dirty and the rules at the pool change daily depending on if you are a national or a tourist. You get absolutely no perks, late check-out, and room placement with a gold card. The swim up bar is over run with kids and floats. The entertainment crew are fun and work hard. The food is very good. The service at meals are excellent. We love the riu chains and will continue to travel to them but definitely not the riu Jalisco. We have been 4 times to this one. Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Great resort

It s a nice hotel , the staff is fantastic from the chamber made to the valet. I would like to give a special thanks to the 3 concierges Brenda, Josephina and Amirali that treated me like a king, made my reservations for the restaurants so painless. The grounds are well kept, there is pretty much always beach chairs available through out the day. The only thing i found would of been nicer is a bigger choice of pastries at lunch time otherwise everything is great. Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Great Resort

The resort is well kept. It is spotless on the grounds, in the restaurants, in the public washrooms, by the beach, vegetation is well manicured. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. They would always offer a friendly ‘Ola’ with a smile whenever they passed you. Not all of them spoke English and for me that made what Mexico is all about: a new experience. The resort is advertised as all inclusive and it is not as all 3 restaurants’s menu have items that if ordered bear an extra charge. Also, the Time share agression on new comers has to stop.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Beautiful Location

The resort grounds are gorgeous, and the staff were lovely. We stayed in area 2 which was noisy at night, as the “party pool” was on one side and the “theatre” was on the other side. The shows are extremely loud and end by 10:30-11. The room was comfortable, and bedding when we arrived clean. The water in shower was not hot at any time.. but warm.. if you shower late afternoon. Luckily we held on to our used ones the last day, or we couldn’t have showered. The food was okay.. but nothing was impressive. I wouldn’t recommend for kids as they don’t provide cereal and only had 1 toaster in the middle restaurant, which we found 3 days before leaving. The beach was lovely !

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Very happy and will be back again.

The resort Krystal Grand was a great vacation. The hotel was so clean, the rooms were always clean and comfortable, the property was well kept and maintained and the food and drink areas were impressive. The food and and drink were always fresh and clean. We did not worry for one moment.
