Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: It is a nice welcoming resort with great workers

Overall everything was great except for the sceptic issue behind block 8 right by our room. We closed the door and curtains all week to not see or smell. The workers are friendly and the General Manager works hard, very hard. The food was great and we feel for them for not having enough essential items at this time. Thanks for making our trip a good one and and taking care of your lovely resort.

Memories Jibacoa: Very enjoyable

Ocean front unit thoroughly enjoyed all facilities. Enjoyed tennis lessons and games and thanks to Alberto the tennis pro. He was a great coach helped with lessons in a very friendly and enjoyable time. Food was good particularly the gourmet meals.

Grand Memories Holguin: Nice vacation

Jan. 23 to Dec. 6 – group of 6 seniors This hotel had a change-over at the time of our visit (from Hotel Tesoro del Atlantico to Grand Memories), hence the need to fine-tune some services. BEACH: Beautiful, sandy, warm ocean. Ideal for long strolls. More-than-enough comfortable lounging chairs, palapas and trees for shade. POOLS: Clean and huge, with many shaded areas and comfortable chairs. HOTEL: Modern, new, well-appointed. Wide hallways and walkways – nicely lit. In fact, it is THE [... read more] BEST LIT-UP RESORT WE HAVE EVER HAD IN CUBA. No worrying about tripping due to unexpected stairs or darkness. Public areas and rooms are spacious, clean, and everything is in good working order. Love the screen door to the balcony. RESTAURANTS: Plenty of food in cafeteria. Main fare was pork (sometimes roasted piglets = yummy) and cabbage, which could get somewhat monotonous. Choice of cooked vegetables was limited, but certainly enough fresh vegetables. Cakes, breads & ice cream were delicious. CLOTH napkins at every dinner - WOW. Italian & Caribbean Restaurants were good. Thank you all for your friendly and efficient service. BARS: Except for the lobby bar not being up to par, service was good. However, mixed drink choices were limited, but there was plenty of wine and beer. Spanish coffee and cappuccino were mostly good. LANDSCAPING: Nicely landscaped. Being a new resort, once the many trees and shrubs mature, it will be a most beautiful resort. Gardeners are doing a fine job in looking after the gardens. PLEASANT SURPRISE: NO INSECTS = no bites in two weeks – unbelievable and wonderful! Cannot understand the reason, since we never saw anyone spraying? IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED: Rooms were not ready at check-in time. Waited an extra 1 ½ hours. No decent or no shows in the evening. Lobby bar was way too noisy until late evening, due to some rowdy guests who brought their own music, making it annoying and difficult to sleep for those who had their rooms close-by. Internet connection was not good during the day, but ok early morning or late evening/night. OBSERVATION: This hotel has many positive things going for it, but there are some small issues that need to be addressed. It certainly has the potential to become a fantastic resort. Overall, we had a fun and relaxing vacation. Would we return? Perhaps not immediately, but maybe in the near future, once their little problems have been ironed out. P.S. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful location but awful accommodation and services

We reserved a junior suite room garden view with king bed. We got 3 single beds and no furniture in the room facing the tennis court. We changed rooms after 2 days in a room with broken safe, no towels, no pillow covers, no furniture on balcony, bathroom in need of repair, patio door partially open, electrical plug complete out of the wall, etc…. In 12 days we had new towels 3 times. Once they gave us bath rugs for towels. We had a bottle of water delivered in the room every 2-3 days while  [... read more]they were supposed to deliver water every day. Lack of toilet paper big time especially in the public bathrooms. Toilet doors don’t lock or even close. The rooms are in need of great repair. At the bar you could get beer, rum, wiskie, ice tee, punch. No Baileys, no pop, no coke, no pinacolada, no margheritas no special drinks. We had coke 2 days during our stay of 12 days. We bought our own booze gin, Baileys, pop. Buffet same every day. Lots of pork, fish, beef. Hardly no chicken. Good pastries in morning, sometime no eggs at breakfast. Good bread, salad bar. Every day, you had to line up for the buffet, not big enough for the amount of people. All à carte restaurante were the same Mediterranean , Italian, creole, Asian, they offered beef, pork or fish. No pasta. I would not recommend this resort. No service, they just pretend to note your requests but nothing happens. Went to Cuba 6 time before and never had problems, this resort is overly book and then they can not rendered the services.

Memories Jibacoa: Well run beautiful resort

This was our 5th time visiting this resort (formerly called Breezes Jibacoa)and it could well be the best time we’ve had yet. The resort is located half way between Varadero and Havana nestled within 2 green hills on a beautiful beach that has excellent snorkelling. There are some small reefs just a few feet from shore and larger ones further out. The Garden view rooms overlook these beautiful hills and many we spoke to prefer these to the ocean view. The rooms are dated but very clean. Th [... read more]ere were no problems getting beach chairs/palapas and so reserving with a towel was not necessary. The food was exceptional with plenty of choices for all 3 meals. We were surprised to see beautiful green salads and other fresh veggies for lunch and dinner every day. There are plenty of tables in the airy outdoor area which is where we sat for most meals. Some of the kitchen staff wore masks (for their own sake)but others did not. I didn’t see any patrons wearing masks at any time. At the various stations (salad bar, desert bar, sandwich bar,etc), they had masked servers holding the tongs and each patron had to specify what they wanted on their plate..I think this was an attempt to reduce the number of hands that touch those tongs. This caused a little contention at busy times but generally worked well. The musicians that played just outside the lobby area every evening were very good. One thing that I didn’t like was the entertainment group that took over the ranchon restaurant at noon on Tuesdays with a very loud musical performance spearheaded by a very loud irritating MC yelling into the mic. How could anyone enjoy and digest their lunch with such a racket all around them. I would suggest that this performance be performed elsewhere - at the pool or on the beach beside the beach bar. I must say that some people seemed to enjoy it..but not me. All in all, this was a fantastic trip with nice weather, great food and accommodation.

Memories Trinidad Del Mar: I'd go back again for sure

Very nice hotel. Employees were polite and very attentive. The grounds were well maintained and the hotel itself was sparkling clean. The dining room offered more variety of foods than you can imagine. The beach itself was very clean. This was my first time at this resort and I would certainly go back again.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Love the vibe!!!!!

We had an amazing week at Santuary. The staff were all wonderful and we met so many wonderful people. We would love to mention Pablo from the pool bar, Lily from the lobby bar, Danyel from Nativa bar and our butler Javier from block 59.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Disappointment.

Regarding the hotel, our impressions are unfortunately not the best. In our case, we got a room with the door to the garden closed permanently, without the possibility of opening it, but where the two doors meet, we had a gap allowing insects to enter the room. We sealed it with duct tape. The air conditioning worked because you could hear it, but the humidity in the room was higher than outside. Everything in the room including the sheets was damp. We couldn't change the room because the hotel [... read more] was full. It wasn't pleasant to go back to it or sleep in it. In our opinion, this room shouldn't be allowed to use by hotel guests. The Beach is situated beautifully. Of particular interest is the shallow sea near the beach. That's the only big plus. Beach-land (sand) nothing special, not very wide, or clean, people sitting very densely, close to each other (big minus). The food is normal, just like in Cuba. Breakfast was good, the rest is ok, and no one goes hungry.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Amazing place!

We had an excellent time at this property. Like anywhere in Cuba at the moment, there are shortages, but that being said, the staff in this location go above and beyond to make you happy. If they didn't have our fav drink available, they would make you something comparable. The hotel is slightly dated, but was clean and well taken care of with what they have available. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Beautiful Beach

Our 10-day stay at Sanctuary had a few hiccups initially but overall the beauty of the beach and the fine weather far outweighed any issues we encountered. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We especially enjoyed guitarist, Esther, in the Sanctuary lounge. An amazing talent. We saw chicken only once. Tilapia only fish option. Some beef but mostly pork at the a la cart dinners. Carry your own tissue pkgs as paper products are limited and bathroom tissues run out. Enjoy!

Grand Memories Varadero: Alright resort!

This resort is definitely past its prime. When we checked in, we were given a room that had no A/C or hot water. Fortunately, the next day, we were switched to a different room. The housekeeping staff kept the room really clean, but getting clean towels seemed to be an issue. Also, the food was the same stuff every day, and there was no variety.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Good service

The grounds and facilities were always well kept. One night, when I returned to my room, I did not have any power. They sent someone to fix it right away after I reported it at the front desk. They received beautiful new beach lounging chairs on the last day of my vacation. The cleaning staff were very friendly and efficient!

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Never disappoints

Simply love the 3 hotels that make up Memories Cayo Santa Maria. Best staff ever. Armando, Pablo, Delvis, Jorje, Yordanis, Wandy, Jenny, Ena, Laine, Ulysses, Leche & Rosa to name a few. They are the true reason these hotels people keep coming back (like myself) time and again!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: This resort was ok

It was ok but a bit run down in my view. The beach was incredibly beautiful. The staff was very friendly and worked with what they had. The food was so and so but you could always find something to eat. The drinks were never the same from one day to the next and every bartender had a different recipe...but that was ok I suppose. For the rooms, they were clean but dated. What was strange to me was that there was just one fitted sheet on the bed. No flat sheet over it and no blankets or bed cove [... read more]r... There was a blanket in the closet... I still can't figure that one out.

Memories Trinidad Del Mar: Good value and great staff

I found the hotel to be nice and clean. It looked as so It had been redone lately, but the staff were just great,I don't think I have incountered better in my many travels. The food was good,but just a few things were missing like any kind of cereal and there wasn't a French fry to be found. All day pizza was good. Over all I would say it was good value for the money. The only downside was the 2 hour ride from the airport.

Memories Paraiso: Amazing resort

We came back 10 days ago from Memories Paraiso and it was awesome, can't wait to go back. The stuff are just simply awesome and hard working. I celebrated my birthday there. The bartenders at the Memories Paraiso and Grand Memories beach bars are very friendly and making awesome drinks, also bartenders from Grand Memories lobby bar did great job to keep up with everyone's orders. If you want drink best Penacolada, Mimi Vice and Majito, the Memories Paraiso lobby bar is the place to get it. If you get hungry there is a pizza bar open 24 hours beside Grand Memories lobby. The line can get long though. At the Memories Paraiso pool side is the pool bar and a sandwich stand where Marco can do ham and cheese sandwiches. Across from pool is grill where all buffet is now. The food was very good and we can always choose something to eat. From the grill is 2 minutes walk to a village La Estrella. This village was build espetily for tourist where they can buy souvenirs from Cuba.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Terrible resort

This resort was the worst place I have been in all my travels. It is old an not renovated. We were 4 days with low water pressure to take our showers and did not have hot water. My TV was broken. I had to complain multiple times to finally get a room change. I do not recommend travelling to this hotel and any hotels in Cayo Coco. People are better off going to Cayo Guillermo where the hotels are more recent. I noted that employees steal from the hotel because of they are so poor. The grounds were very well taken care of and the hotel was clean. I would definitely return to this resort. The staff were friendly. :) Some villas are undergoing renovations and I’m sure will be fantastic upon completion. The beach was amazing!
