Selection Riviera Cancun: Azul Beach Resort Riviera Cancun

Just spent a glorious week at the Azul Beach Resort Riviera Cancun. Hotel was beautiful and rooms were well appointed. We got upgraded to ocean view honey moon suite, the balcony was amazing. Food was good, but really not exceptional, just average Resort fair. The only real disappointment was the ocean was churned up brown and full of seaweed, not suitable for swimming at all. Thankfully the pools were large and clean.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Overall great experience

My girlfriend and I stayed at this resort for 10 days in November of 2019. This was a great overall experience. Food was amazing, Ala Carts were delicious, rooms were very clean and the resort transportation was efficient and quick. A little rocky beach however it is not a deal breaker. DO NOT go to the Matis Jewelry "Tour" aka pushy sales pitch. Cannot believe the RESORT suggested we go to this place. They have to be paying the resorts nearby the bring unsuspecting victims here. If you want to go to Playa Del Carmen please save yourself the time and take the $3 USD bus rides along the highway.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Location, Accommodations, Staff, simply the best!

Just returned 3 days ago, this was our second visit and I am impressed at how the level of cleanliness and professionalism of staff is so consistent. Four buildings which all face the water, spacious, clean, well appointed rooms with a patio or balcony. Beautiful sand beach and sandy ocean bottom once you get out a few feet. With the [... read more] combination of all these things it makes Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort the perfect place for a vacation, you will not be disappointed. The only down side to this trip was returning to a snow storm.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Nice with few issues

Comments on Restaurants and bars Drinks were good. Food was tasteless and bland...overall quality of the ingredients was standard Like the most I found that the staff was very attentive to any issue or question asked of them. Both service staff and housekeeping. I do not feel the restaurant staff should be eating at there stations while working. Zoetry Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres Cancun: Fabulous Location!

There’s literally not one thing I can complain about Zoetry resorts.. Its amazing! Especially this one where you’re on a island. Foods great, drinks are top shelf; staff is fabulous. You’ll have a great experience!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great place to visit

The entertainment staff does a great job keeping everyone happy and engaged during the day and night. Staff were friendly. Not too keen on the "Mexican raccoons" running around most of the day and night but seem to be accustomed to humans. Good food choices. Japanese Teppanyaki grill restaurant was a fun experience.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Relaxing trip

Loved the resort, the staff - especially Carlos and Omar. Lots to do. Only thing I think needs improvement is the night time entertainment. I would definitely go back to this resort again and felt very safe.

Paradisus Cancun: THE PARADISUS CANCUN NEEDS AIR CONDITIONING IN THE MAIN BUILDLING, VERY HOT!

No air circulation in the main building, they need fans to keep the air moving, no air-conditioning in the main building. The outdoor restaurant was so hot that you couldn't enjoy your dinner. 4 restaurants were closed for renovations, only 2 restaurants with air conditioning, the rooms were very warm, could no get the air conditioning to go any lower. Beautiful building and excellent service and food, but way too hot in the resort!

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Fantastic resort!

Stunning resort with exceptional service. Great food, great entertainment and a wide variety of activities. All the restaurants we tried were terrific and offered great choices. The rooms are spotless and the beds are comfortable. The staff are kind and accommodating.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Relaxing holiday

I travelled with my adult daughter and we had a great holiday. The resort is beautiful and well maintained. The employees were very friendly and helpful. My daughter found the bed too hard and they immediately brought us a pillowtop for the mattress which helped a lot. Food and drinks were great. We found a quiet area at the beach where we spent most of our time. The resort is very big so you have to allow yourself extra time to get to any of the scheduled activities. Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Great resort

Great newer hotel, good selection of restaurants. Great pools. Swim up room is more of a mini private pool . Only down side is distance to excursions, about an hr from Cancun and 2.5 to 3hrs total to atv ziplines and ruins.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Absolutely Amazing Place!

Staff were so friendly and hospitable, answered any questions or concerns we had. All the restaurants had amazing food and the staff were there for your every need. The grounds were immaculate and clean everywhere we went. The activity team at the pools and the Theater employees were so entertaining and made the pool time so much fun. Isla Natura Beach: Great Location

This hotel is dated, needs some tlc, but the staff are amazing, helpful, friendly and cheerful. Food was very good although a little repetitive. 2 Beaches very nice, weather was great no rain hardly a cloud in the sky. Sea was a little rough but some people still swam or took fishing trips etc. Entertainment guy was very good, he provided us with music at the pool and in the evenings with dancing and karaoke. 2 pools one for children under the age of 11 years the other for adults and children 11 [... read more]+ pool was clean and quite large with a lovely view of the beach. We both enjoyed our week at Isla Nature Beach.

The Sens Riviera: New Resort - still needs to do some work

This resort is under new management and it's obvious. Service was slow, the resort was under-staffed, and a number of things that would be relatively minor on their own added up to make for a less than perfect stay. I will say that the beach is lovely and the pools are amazing. Those get 5 stars. We were one of the suckers who paid extra for an ocean front room that had no balcony or window that opened. The view was gorgeous but otherwise it was like staying in a regular hotel with no fresh air, no sound of the ocean,no balcony, etc. That was disappointing but i understand they've clearly identified that on the website now so others will know what they are booking. I'd recommend booking an ocean view room instead - nicer, larger, better location and outdoor loungers and hot tub on your private balcony. The view of the ocean is slightly obstructed but still a better option overall. The issues: extremely slow service in restaurants, extremely slow housekeeping, in-room safe didn't work, no drink service on the beach, mini bar wasn't always re-stocked, but the tip money was always gone. One day they took the tip but didn't clean our room! A friend twisted her ankle while we were there and we asked to borrow a wheelchair. We were told by the front desk (after they spoke with the chief concierge, Luis) that we would have to pay for one and have it shipped from Playa del Carmen. After reminding them that she was injured on their property, they magically (and instantly) found one that she was able to use at no charge. I think it's been a rough opening for Sunscape Akumal and the team is overwhelmed, and therefore the resort is lacking the usual amazing service that you get from a resort in the Mayan Riviera. We expected that things would not be perfect - it's a newly refurbished resort under new management and just opened last month - but the place itself was disappointing. I heard a lot of people complaining so I don't think we were alone in our experience. Also, there are very limited options for vegetarians and items marked vegetarian on the menu (lime soup at tikki taco) came with chicken!!! Sunscape has some work to do to get this resort where it needs to be. Right now we wouldn't recommend this resort, but if they can get their act together i think in 6 months to a year it will be a fine vacation destination.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Great resort

We recently visited Paradisus with another couple for 8 days and stayed in Royal Service. We had a great trip and lots of fun, food and drinks were awesome. Loved Royal Service, the room was great and so was La Palapa and special beach and pool area. Ate breakfast and lunch most days at La Palapa, the team there made it so special...Evetio, Danura, Joan, Carlos, Roman, Gabriela, Renau and lovely Elizabeth who greeted us each time! We understood the beach situation with seaweed so were prepared for the ocean to not be swimable.  I did yoga a couple of times and that was great. I give it a 4 star due to the absence of night life. I wasn't looking for a club or anything too exciting but something other than a DJ playing loud noise would be better. Walked to the "show" on the family side one night and it was such a joke. We travel a lot and all adult only 5 star resort and some can be quiet but this was way too quiet.  Overall I would definitely recommend this resort (and have recommended because one of my friends has booked to stay in December) but you need to be ok with no night life or entertainment. 

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Island dream

We were very pleased with the resort, staff, food and entertainment, this was one of our favourite trips, everything from booking, flight and stay went perfect we couldn’t be happier except for the fact of having to come home

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Beautiful resort

This is a wonderful resort for couples or families. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The food was average in the buffet, not a bad breakfast and lunch selection. We ate at 2 of the 3 Ala Carte restaurants, the Italian and Japanese we definitely would recommend trying them. The resort was well kept, the beach was beautiful. Lots of lounge chairs on the beach and by the pool. The rooms are average nothing special but they are clean.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Awesome week!!!

This is a great place to get away and re-calibrate, which is what my wife and I really needed. Very professional, well maintained and the theme restaurants provide a great end to each spectacular day!

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Lovely Resort

Resort was lovely. Very clean, good food and friendly staff. We highly recommend this resort and would return. The a la cart restaurants were very good and appreciated not having to make reservations ahead of time at them.

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Fantastic Holiday

Food was superior, beach amazingly calm with powder sand, service excellent with concierge available for each building. Highlight of this hotel was the entertainment and things on site to do during the day and superior nighttime shows.
