Melia Marina Varadero: Great Resort

This hotel was very clean...a little on the quiet side which was fine for me. Beautiful scenery being next to the yaght club. Staff very friendly and they didnt expect any tips which was nice that they didnt hang around expecting something. Convenient location next to shops and easy commute via bus into Varadero. Buffet food as expected, they did change it up a bit. The a la carte restaurants were good. Pool very clean. Beach was nice except not much room depth wise, very crowded not a lot o [... read more]f space between you and others, but nice and long for walking.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Beautiful Resort

Fairly quick check in. Requested building close to the beach which we received. (Bldg 1). Definitely closer to beach but a bit of a hike to lobby and pool area. Nice room, large bath, great water pressure and lots of hot water. Booked 2 alacarte restaurants prior to our trip and both were accommodated. Highly recommend as guests complain reservations were difficult to make after their arrival. Food at alacarte restaurants was amazing - so so at buffet. Spent most of our time on the beautif [... read more]ul beach. Beach bar was cute but if you are looking for something other than a cerveza or rum and coke, I would recommend the lobby bar. Enjoyed coffee and cappuccino in the lobby prior to going for breakfast (much better than at the buffet). The rock house is also a great option for lunch or dinner.

Paradisus Varadero: cuba vacation

trip to varadero great nice hotel newer sections better our room was older but clean and a very hard mattress . T he maids were very helpful and nice to talk to. this was a quiet resort and very relaxed atmosphere contrary to what we have heard the food was delicious with lots of variety,some people are never satisfied cuban beaches are wonderful and the people genuine and friendly. a great holiday and good value for the money.

Palma Real: Good resort

The Hotel was in pretty good shape , bars and washrooms available ... Clean pools big buffet area, close to beach and lots of help from staff. I would definately would be going back to this hotel and recommend friends and family.

Paradisus Varadero: Enjoyable Holiday Resort!

Just returned from a week at Paridisus Varadero Resort & had an awesome holiday. Beautiful white,pristine beach with lots of room to handle all the visitors staying at resort. It is a great facility even tho the suites are somewhat dated...the rooms are clean & wellkept. Impressed with the variety & taste of the food at buffet. The pizza & pasta station was delicious. The employees at this resort were amazing & very helpful. Overall it was a positive experience & will return.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Fine Resort

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at this adult only resort in early 2017. The room was spacious and very clean. The grounds are beautiful and the food was good. The staff is hard working, very friendly and attentive to guest needs. In our view the hotel has the best beach in the area. We have been to other resorts in Varadero but this one is the best. Paradisus Varadero: Beautiful

Great service, food was good, fun entertainment and lobby area was a great place to hang out and relax. The pool and beach were beautiful and clean. Our room was worn and could use a facelift but the maid did the best she could.

Paradisus Varadero: Excellent Service!

Upon arrival we upgraded to the Family concierge as we wanted internet access in our rooms, we paid 50 pesos per night for the upgrade and it was well worth it. We got a butler Natalia that took care of all of our needs, from booking our restaurant reservations, exchanging our money, booking the spa etc, all our needs were met even if she had to walk the whole resort to find us. The entertainment team was also amazing, Eddie and Reynold were always involving us in activities, keeping us in the [... read more] loop of what was happening and where, and giving our quiet space when we needed. The food was excellent and the rooms were comfy and always very clean. Highly recommended.

L'endroit était bien situé sur la plage. Mes elements positifs s'arrêtent là. L'endroit était excécrable. C'était mon 5ième voyage à Cuba, et heureusement, car je retournerais jamais base sur l'expérience au Paradisus Varadero. La nourriture était moins que passable, les chambres étaient usées par le temps, le service, sauf qq exception, était nul à la limite condescendant. Je me déplacais en chaise roulante, et les membres du personnel était au courant, plusieurs fois, j'a [... read more]i appelé pour un transport, et j'ai laissé sonner plus de 20 coups et aucune réponse. Notre frigidaire n'était jamais rempli, même avec plusieurs rappels. Nous devions retourné régulièrement pour faire magnétiser notre carte de chambre car elle était défectueuse. Nous avons fait le voyage avec un couple d'amis, il n'avait aucun eau chaude dans leur chamber, de plus, ils se sont fait piques, par...nous ne savons pas encore quoi, mais avait le corps couvert de piqure. Nous avons dû aller se plaindre et à un moment monter le ton pour être entendu. Ils ont finalement eu droit à une relocalisation, mais après de nombreux retours au service à la clientele. Nous avons discuté avec plusieurs vacanciers et tous étaient unanime, personne ne retournera à cette endroit. Comme indiqué ci-dessus, j'ai été dans le passé à plusieur autres endroits à Cuba et j'ai adore la nourriture, le service impeccable et "friendly" des Cubains ainsi que l'endroit. Je vous recommande donc le Iberostar Auguna Azul...mais JAMAIS le Paradisus.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Naviti Resort in Varadero

My room was newly renovated, all new. Very clean, up to date, balcony viewing ocean too. Entertainment was not that great. Did not appreciate dinner served for breakfast such as beans, rice, etc. Loved having hamburgers at lunch, rice and beans were not as good. You need to be more picky when it comes to food, by selecting the choices of food you love and putting it together like pastas and selecting the various sauces, that was good. Paradisus Varadero: Beautiful resort

The hotel rooms are older and the beds are hard but it was clean . The staff were helpful and friendly. Beach was beautiful there was lots of lounging chairs so you didn't have to worry about not getting one. The food in the buffet was always good,lots to choose from. Always felt safe in Veradaro which is a big plus when choosing a resort.

Paradisus Varadero: People were very friendly and helpful

This was a fun holiday but I found the buffet restaurant was repetitive. A la cartes were great. It didn't really seem like a 5 star though. There are not enough bathrooms in the public areas. The pool has no railings or hand rails going into pools so difficult for elderly. Check in seemed disorganized and time consuming I wish breakfast would be served later than ten am.

just got back from 10 day trip. five days at reg. resort then 5 days upgrade to royal section. staff at both were great.food good all locations.this was our third time here and we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Palma Real: Great resort

Rooms were excellent grounds were well maintained, food were somewhat repetitive but 2 main dishes were daily changed, staff were very friendly, very close to beach and central to all the main attractions including the Beatles calle63

Best features: beach, access to beach chairs, entertainment, entertainment at restaurants Worst features: weather, rooms were very tired (musty smell in room), pool area small, Restaurants were okay. Great ice cream, cheese and fish.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Mix between a 3 star and a 4 star...

3 Star .... rooms, food, restaurants 4 Star .... lobby, pools, service, beach, staff Room... safe door was missing, no shower bar to hold the shower head, stained couch. Lobby... lots of seating areas for playing cards and drinking

Grand Memories Varadero: Great, short trip!

The resort wasn't overly large but spread out nicely. The beach was beautiful, along with the pools which were clean and fun. The staff were great and welcoming. Over all I and my niece (7) really enjoyed everything.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Economical and good for what we paid

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great Service

The service was top notch. The butlers (Eilyn and Robert) were very attentive to our needs and assisted in booking car trip to Havana. The food was good, especially in the buffet. The rooms could use some updating (lights, hooks etc.) but the bed was big and comfortable. Would recommend this resort for a trip to Varadero.
