Ocean Blue and Sand: Lovely Stay !

We were there 22-29th of March. As a prestige guest we had an easy and quick check-in in a separate area which was nice. We had a "butler" in prestige to help you out ... nice touch but if not it would have been good just the same. The prestige lounge is nice. Nice and cool with alcohol there available with ice and snacks. Also bathroom available in the lounge. We ate breakfast by the beach each day as a privilege guest and ordered from a menu. The beach restaurant was open to everyon [... read more]e at lunch and was good. We did buffet for dinner a few times and I have no complaints. We have travelled to Cuba quite a bit and the food her is a definite step up. The steak restaurant, italian and Japanese were also good. I had no problem with tummy issues anywhere. The gym is open 24 hours incase you want to keep up workout while away. One thing to know is Coffee is available in the foyer of the buffet on the entrance across from the gym/spa at 6am. We are early risers and were searching for coffee the first day. Mike's cafe should open earlier but it opens at 7:30. If you are a beach lover then you may be disappointed as the beach has some issues with eroding. They are doing their best to stop it. The beach to the left and right at the next hotels is fine and much deeper but because they are on a point for some reason they are having issues. Still lovely though but some may not be happy with that. Our room was great.. lots of pillows and comfy. Room was a bit cold and hard to regulate so maybe that could be looked after. I don't know if i would go back as there are just so many places to go in the carribean. We did like the fact that it was not too big. We prefer smaller resorts. Hope this helps.

Tropical Deluxe Princess: Tropical Princess Resort in Punta Cana

The beach was beautiful, loved it!! The resort was nice and well laid out. I had read some negative reviews about the rooms but we had no problems with our room, it was not fancy but it was comfortable, our air conditioning worked and we had hot water in our shower. I enjoyed the food but had stomach issues through out the week, but was manageable with Imodium and Pepto Bismol. We also enjoyed the nightly entertainment. The sun & the sand made our vacation lovely!!

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Lovely resort

This is a very nice hotel, friendly staff, very clean. I was with royal golden, worth the upgrade fee. Room right on the beach. Would definitely go back. Ride to the airport and back is close, checkin and check out was easy. Getting the right room a little frustrating but just keep insisting

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Nice resort but lot's of kids

We just returned from a week at Now Onyx Punta Cana. We were there from March 22 - 29. We didn't realize when we booked that this week coincided with American Spring Break, it often felt we were at a kid's resort. Even when we upgraded to a Preferred Private Plunge Pool suite on the Adult side of the resort it was the main hang out for the college age kids. As a couple looking for a quiet, relaxing escape from our busy lives at home we were disappointed. The resort itself has a nice tropical feel to it but not always the cleanest especially mornings at the bar area outside the restaurants. The food was good though not a big selection. The food at the a la carte's was quite good. The rooms are a good size but the shower and toilet are a strange setup as they are in a small area together with an open shower. Plenty of clean towels and housekeeping checked in again in the evening to see if we needed anything. The traffic in the hallways is very loud (when you are in your room) and we were woken up frequently during the night with people in the hallway. Housekeeping did a good job of the room. The beach and ocean were fantastic. They were constantly working to clean the seaweed but there was quite a bit of garbage in the sand around the loungers. We didn't spend any time at the main pool as it was quite loud with kids of all ages (from infant to teens). The adult pool was quieter but if you weren't out before 8am you weren't getting a lounger as people were out early and "saving" them. Every morning was a hunt for pool towels as they didn't seem to bring them out until 9am or so. We learned to bring fresh towels to our room in the afternoon so we had them for the morning. Our Concierge Moe was fantastic, he visited us in person a couple times a day, ensured our requests for our minibar were done daily. He even arranged and personally escorted us to dinner one night at the French restaurant at Breathless. I can't say enough good things about him. The staff at the resort were some of the friendliest I have ever come across, they always had a smile and cheerful "Hola" when they saw you. Now Onyx Punta Cana would probably be a very good resort for those travelling with kids of any age however for people travelling without kids I would recommend going elsewhere.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Lovely resort

Beautiful clean resort, the people who work there are wonderful! The room was clean and a good size. The beach was also very clean, had some vendors who would approach, but if you said you were not interested they left right away! The only thing that I found not up to the standard that I would have expected from such a nice resort was the food, at both the buffet's and steak restaurant.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Amazing resort

Majestic Mirage resort is a great resort to relax. The grounds are well kept and the whole resort is super clean. Activities are available for any age wishing to particapate.There is plenty variety of food.The rooms are huge,beach is clean and plenty of chairs available, pools were warm and not busy.Butler was great always available if needed.And all the workers everywhere there are so nice.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Huge resort

The hotel was nice, lots of space for many guests, room was musty and the ceiling leaked in the bathroom, air conditioner leaked in the bedroom. The a la carts were delicious, especially the Bellini! The shuttle was a handy way to get around , there were many stairs not good if accessibility is an issue.

VH Atmosphere: Wonderful Resort

This resort was by far the cleanest and most well kept resort we have been to so far. The service was fantastic as well. Our room was lovely - lots of drawers and room to put your belongings so you are not living out of a suitcase. There was no musty smells at all. All fresh and clean smelling. There was the odd time where we may not get facecloth, but that's no big deal at all. The food was great. Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Beautiful Resort!

Hotel and grounds very well maintained. Our room was spotless. Beaches and public areas clean. Helpful staff. Buffet had many delicious choices. Seafood dinner at The Blue Lagoon was amazing! Overall a great destination.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay. The resort was well kept, our room was clean and house keeping the staff was great! There was entertainment near the lobby every night, buffets both at the Palm and the Tropical were fantastic. We didn't get to try all the resturants, there's a nice selection. My only complaint was that check in was slow. Cofresi Palm is larger and has lots of stairs but the adjoining resort the Tropical is equally beautiful and quite accessible.

Beautiful resort, extra friendly staff, ok food, water was rough on the beach, watch out for the people that tries to sell you a timeshare. Hotel caters more to their vip guests. If you want a cabana on the beach, you have to be an early bird.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: We Loved this Resort!

We loved this small adults only resort. A nice short 3-5 minute walk brought you to a gorgeous beach. The staff were friendly and the resort was clean. We loved our spacious Amnesia Suite. The food was delicious and we liked the fact you didn't have to make reservations for the ala cartes. We didn't have to wait in lineups and the hotel was at full occupancy when we were there. Always easy to get beach towels. It was nice having free wifi. We would stay here again.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Fantastic vacation

We had an amazing time at Cofresi resort. The food was amazing, a la carte were delicious, grounds were beautiful, drinks were endless and such a friendly atmosphere. Con's would be lots of stairs for those who have mobility issues, or lots of walking we didnt mind it but it could be an issue if your perhaps your a senior. I am definitely heading back.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: The resort was beautiful.

The pool was fabulous. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. The rooms were your standard hotel rooms but the bathrooms were recently renovated. There was an initial mix up on our rooms and the hotel was quick to fix the issue and moved us to an upgraded room. The buffet was good, but breakfast was definitely our favourite and the Brazilian a la carte was so good.

TRS Turquesa: Awesome time!!

What an amazing time our group had. The pools, food and service was some of the best. The bartenders at building 57 were over the top. A big thanks to our butler Bismery, she went out of here way to take care of all of us. Always greeted with a smile and took care of any needs or issues we had. Should be Butler of the year!!

Playabachata Hotel: Amazing beach and views!

Grounds are easy to navigate, wonderful path for walking day or night. Rooms are dry, clean and no problems with water pressure! Food was great! Variety of seating areas with relaxing atmosphere and pleasant music. Disco for younger crowd and lots of sport activities if desired. We only hangout on the beach, but observed wonderful spirit around all swimming pools!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice resort

Hotel and resort is very nice and clean food was great but room service was disappointing did not leave bottle water half the time in our room front desk was not very helpfull when checking in but customer service was great

Riu Republica: Beautiful resort

We just spent a week at this amazing resort. I've never been at such a well kept, clean place. From the rooms to hallways to grounds. I was also impressed all the adjustable shaded awnings around the huge pools. The food was exceptional in the buffets and the restaurants. The service was very professional and friendly. I also liked that there were no motorized vehicles driving on the walkways. The nightly shows were well done with very talented performers. It was a nice surprise to see that this [... read more] resort uses glass or sturdy reusable plastic glasses for all their drinks instead of the thin plastic ones that many places use and trash. I look forward to going there again!

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Absolutely loved it!

Many food choices, super friendly and helpful staff, great entertainment and on site activities. Everything is beautiful and fresh looking. I was surprised that there were not specific smoking areas, so people were smoking everywhere outside, including in the pools and all common areas. But, ashtrays were cleaned and switched out very frequently. Our beds were very uncomfortable, I guess we are used to a much softer mattress! But we did not have sore backs after our day at the fantastic spa! You [... read more] have to try it. The beach was underwhelming, and pretty dirty, although there were always staff working on cleaning it up. It’s the tourists leaving cigarette butts and other crap all over that grossed me out. You must check out the Coco cafe, and get an ice coffee with chocolate drizzle and a shot of coffee liqueur! The Manatees swim up bar is pretty cool too. All in all, I would say a 4.75 out of 5.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: A great spot

Awesome food...super clean and perfect attention to detail...drinks were cold and the sun was hot...rooms were spotless. Staff were always available and the room service was fast and a nice touch..would definitely go back to this resort
