This resort is great as all is close the beach is amazing ! The bar often ran out of baileys and gin and would not have more till the next day a bummer to rush to get some while it’s left :( the big disappointment was the food and the a la cart for the same money I have had much better the staff was nice but very pushy to get tips example they will look and touch move the tip basket give you your drink and look and move it again as if to say I want a tip on every drink and when you do if it’ [... read more]s not enough they make you feel it’s not enough with the look on there face we are not cheap but when I give 20 pesos 1.40$ CAN and get the disappointment look I stopped tipping all together at that point I was insulted but over all it was ok for the money but I would have paid 200$ more for a better selection of food no steaks only steak was a flank steak it was good but not the best and you can only book your a la carts 2 days at a time the problem is it a cattle call to book at 8 am as get ready to wait in line for 45 min in the hot sun to try and hope to get what you want was not well set other resorts have a concierge at every building for this so no wait at this resort 2 people for 5 or 6 buildings all in all was good but with not much change in the food this place could be amazing I don’t think I will go back unless there is a change pics we looked at show nice steak and sea food the waiter said they stoped that I guess to save money so I was disappointed you will not get the great food you see in review pics keep that in mind if you don’t care for the food and it’s not important to you you will love this place I am not trying to dog this place at all but there is room for much improvement when looking at place the same price I was a flight attendant so have seen many places to understand what I was getting/ entertainment was great very nice shows

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Family Selection gets 10 on 10!

We just got back from a one week vacation at the Family Selection Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres! Our 2-Storey room was simply gorgeous, clean and spacious! All the staff were authentically caring, fore coming and friendly! Service on the beach was quick and Ruby and Michael spoiled us all day long. Michelle and Fernanda, our concierges, could not have done a better job! They are exceptional! Catalonia Yucatan: Pompus and overated

Would not go back as I paid for all inclusive resort and the staff prevented me from many opportunities to enjoy the whole resort as it was off limits. Staff pretended to have my best interests however they took my money when they could, but if it was not in their best interest they refused me service.

Sandos Cancun: Great staff, Great beaches, Great resort!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The Staff were always so nice and willing to help us enjoy our stay to the utmost. There was always one event or the other organized in the evenings to keep you well entertained, and the food was awesome too. There was a Japanese and an Italian restaurant with a la carte, as well as the regular restaurants with mexican style and international style food offerings. Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing Resort

This was our second year at this resort. We came back because of the service. The wait staff are efficient and friendly. Our favorite waiter for breakfast and lunch was Ishmel. He went out of his way to please us. The day time activities are good. Water exercise and the dance lessons were two of my favorites. I missed the cookies and cheesecake that were available in the lobby bar last year. The coffee house dose not have as nice pastries. Paradisus Cancun: Paradisus Cancun

This was a nice hotel however it was way too large and complicated to get around. Pools were nice. Nice beach. They were under renovation so restaurant choices were not so good. They had a lot of stairs to use and not all had railings

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Great Resort

We really enjoyed our time here. Our room was beautiful, clean, spacious The Bella restaurant was EXCELLENT. coffee bar & 24 snack spot was a nice addition to food choices. Service by all resort employees was the BEST. so friendly, polite Pool area great too!! We would definately return for another vacation here

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Amazing resort

This was our first time at Dreams Playa Mujeres in Mexico. We had an amazing time! The resort/rooms were modern, clean and spacious. We vacationed here the last week on October and we’re pleasantly surprised that the Resort was not busy(it’s was their low season) it felt like we had the resort to ourselves...no line ups for anything! The staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back and/or try other Dream destinations! **Be aware that once you are checked in you will be asked to sit in on and encouraged to sign up for their unlimited vacation timeshare type deal....just say no unless of course you’re interested.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Good resort, disappointing restaurants

Having previously enjoyed a vacation at this hotel, after coming out of an extensive surgery 7 months ago we chose to meet some good friends here. The hotel is super clean, the grounds are immaculate, the four pools cater for everyone, or so I thought until one afternoon they decided to bring the party pool to the adults only "quiet" pool, this was not well recieved by the adult pool regular visitors. Of the five restaurants we tried two were excellent, Sensei, the teppanyaki experience is well worth a visit, excellent service. Villa Marina, the steak house is also very good both for food and service. The crepery by the adult pool aspires to be something special, it is not although the bar service to those by the pool is very good. The Blue Moon "romantic dining" is anything but. Large loud tables and offhand service spoiled the experience, food was mediocre at best. The terrace Italian is a complete disaster, cooking at the table appeals to vacationers and it was mostly full but the food was terrible, as was the service, they served a 'dead' clam, the tortellini was hard rolls of 95% pasta, the spin inch and feta was really hard to find and harder to taste, two of us had carbonara so naturally it was cooked together however when it came to the plating 80% of the bacon was on one plate. The service provided by the lobby bar staff is second to non, Angelise and Manuela are exceptional waitresses, the bar men, sorry I don't remember their names were also very good. Carlos made our coffee at the bar each morning and he is exceptional also, a very pleasant young man always eager to please. Ou vacation was a success because of the company of our great friends and our reluctance to let the disappointments spoil it.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great Week at Caracol

We recently spent a week at this great resort. Loved the jungle atmosphere and the many places to explore on the property. The entertainment quality was quite good for resort fare and there were enough included activities on the resort that we didn’t feel the need for any off resort excursions. Our goal was to relax and this was amply accomplished. Great service poolside and beachside (Select Club) with well poured drinks and a great variety of places to eat everyday. Our room was large and well appointed but a bit bland in decor- not a big deal since we didn’t spend much time in there except to sleep! We absolutely loved the many animal encounters we were able to have at the resort- they definitely made our week!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Beautiful Resort

Beautiful resort. Great service, food and rooms. We were placed by the beach which was great. Our room was nice, clean. The staff was polite and friendly everywhere we went. Loved that you could take a shuttle between resorts. Only thing we had an issue with was that the buffet food was cold alot. So food that should be hot was usually cold and a bit tough but still tasted good. However we did 3 a la'carte restaurants (Italian, Brazilian and Japanese). The food was absolutely to die for. Grand Park Royal Cancun: Excellent hotel - terribly pushy timeshare people

We have been to Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribe 3 times now, once in 2014, again in 2018 and recently last week. The hotel, grounds, food, drinks etc are all top notch. Lots of drink selection, you will never go hungry with the delicious food they have. The wait staff, bartenders, room attendants, and front desk folks are all extremely nice and always have a smile on their face. From this perspective, you can't go wrong with the resort... However, there is a serious problem with the "Royal Hol [... read more]iday" timeshare 'slingers' at this resort. You can't walk from your room in the main part of the hotel to the bar, coffee/ice cream shop, buffet without being hounded by the multitude of timeshare sellers that work there. They claim 90 minutes of your time spent with them will net you some "souvenirs" and tequila, however, we have been warned by many people including Transat, Air Canada and Sunwing reps that this will completely eat into your day. They don't mention the 4-5 hour resort tour they take you on after the presentation. If you don't mind standing your ground with these 'clowns', the resort is a beautiful place and well worth visiting. If you are not looking for confrontation, I highly suggest going elsewhere to spend your hard earned cash.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Grear Resort

The resort was beautiful the only downfall for us was all of the stairs. It seemed like all we did was climb stairs! The food was great and the staff could not do enough for us. We had a couples massage and used the hydratherapy and it was so relaxing!

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Amazing Resort!!

Barcelo Gran Faros Los Cabos was perfect! The pool, the beach right at your doorsteps, the atmosphere, the food, the service, the people. What more can you ask for when going on vacation! When they say all inclusive they really do mean it, drinks and snacks in your mini fridge, 3 buffet meals in the day plus a snack bar! This resort by far is one of my favourites and I recommend it to anyone wanting to get away!

Royal Solaris: Nice Getaway

This was our first time to Cabo and not the last. This resort, all though a little tired, is very well kept. The customer service level is top notch. The food was very good. We were there for only 3 nights so didnt get a chance to experience any authentic Mexican cuisine as the buffet was American Buffer our first night and the second night we were reserved at the Mexcian Al a Carte and it was Brazilian night. JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Amazing resort and even better staff and service!

We had a great stay at the Iberostar Grand in Quintana Roo. The food was excellent, beach was right there! And the entire place was clean and beautiful. It would have been a perfect vacation if we weren’t robbed...by the police! Stay away from rental cars and driving on your own. We rented a Jeep and one night we were stopped for a supposed road violation, even though I was just following traffic. I was stopped and no ticket was given. Instead the local police decided to try and extort $250 US [... read more]D from me. I was held in a police cruiser for 30 mins at the side of the highway at midnight with my wife panicking in our pulled over rental car as they tried to convince me to pay them the $250 right then and there in cash. We had just over $100 on us and they were then trying to get us to an ATM. They finally took what we had and then let us go. Yes. The police. The police in Quintana Roo México. Never ever going back to that country ever again. If you can’t trust the police who can you trust? They are criminals. Stay away. Too bad. The hotels need to get together and fix this problem. The police will drive them to bankruptcy eventually. Small mindedness is killing Mexico. Awful.

The hotel architecture was stunning. The cleanliness of the hotel was always on point. The staff was always professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel was extremely kid friendly which we loved because we travelled with our little one. They had a separate pool just for kids, a kids club where they offered tons of activities and kept the children engaged.
