Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Nice resort

It's a very nice resort with beautiful beach, perfect for children. Rocks in the fairly shallow water allows for some snorkelling. The resort has very good food options but lacks the entertainment at night.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: An ok vacation for the famiky

first of all the resort is beautiful. It is well laid out and there’s lots of things to do. The pool area is it was kept always clean and the birth death is willing to wait on you whenever you need something. When we got to the resort we did not receive the room that we had initially booked and wasted a day and a half trying to get a room that we bought. They concreige service was a farce to say the least Once Pedro, our assigned concreige pressured us to attend the time share / vacation club [... read more] presentation...he pretended to want to help us book and arrange things but nothing got done.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Best resort ever!!!!

Everything about the hardrock was superb, it surpassed our expectations!! The hotel is beautiful, with spacious rooms, the casino was a very thrilling experience and the many staff members attended to our every need,we wanted for nothing because of their service and personal attention, the food was excellent in the many restaurants on the property, my wife and I would like to give a big shout out to Laura who works in the casino and made extra sure we received anything we requested, thanks Lau [... read more]ra!!! We would also like to thank rhuddy, who works in the market buffet restaurant, she was very attentive to us while we dined there, these 2 young ladies deserve a ton of thanks for looking after us!!! We also thoroughly enjoyed the slingshot tour that is exclusive to the hardrock hotel, what a thrill it was !!. The pools were awesome, beautiful bars and clubs, there was food everywhere as well. We cannot wait to book another trip back.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Beatiful Resort But Priviledge Level was a disappointment

Beautiful resort. Great entertainment and a beautiful pool. Food was average. Paid extra for Privilege level. This was not worth the money. Butler service was non-existent. Could never find him. Special restaurant for breakfast was in a convenient location but the service was poor. Better service and food selection at the buffet. Privilege staff at the front lobby were great, but that didn't make up for short comings in other areas. Stay at this resort, but pass on Privilege and save some money.

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Great beach!

The restaurants were good, you would never go hungry! We ate at the seafood and steak restaurants. The steak was particularly good, and interesting since it is on the beach. The grounds were decent, but in need of a bit more attention. Same with the rooms, very functional but dated. AC worked very well!! Staff worked hard and were attentive. Riu Republica: Perfect Vacation

The Hotel was impeccably clean. The Food was top notch. The staff was the most friendliest and courteous. The beach was beautiful and always had a lounge chair. The entertainment team was wonderful.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Beautiful Resort

We had a great trip with no issues. The room, the beach the food, the staff were all great. We would definitely come back and definitely recommend the Barcelo Bravo Palace. The location of the resort to the airport was great as well no long drives

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Second trip to this resort!!

Visited this resort in 2012 with our family. So glad we returned! Love this place. Good food,entertainment, and staff all great. The rooms are a little dated but clean. The beach amazing!! Will definitely be returning !!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort

We highly recommend this resort. The property is beautiful, very clean and well maintained, It has been recently renovated and has some nice new features including a sports bar, coffee, shop and new restaurants - Limbo, M.E.A.T and Portofino. The beach is beautiful and the pool is great. We loved the beach side restaurant and had most of our breakfast and lunch there. Spectacular view of the ocean. Grand Bavaro Princess: Wonderful and relaxing stay!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bavaro Princess. My room was clean and well maintained and the grounds were beautiful. The food was amazing and great selection. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I stayed in the Platinum accommodation and it was everything described. I would definitely recommend Bavaro Princess and look forward to coming back!

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: AMAZING

A little slice of heaven. You will never go hungry on this resort. You will always find something. Rooms and resort are very clean. Japanese restaurant is a must. You can always find seats poolside or on the beach. Love that it is a small resort. Will be back.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Fantastic

This resort left nothing off the table !! Awesome food / fantastic & friendly service / great room / entertainment at pool and theatre was top notch / and the huge pool !! The golf course was also very well kept and challenging !! Great beach area !!

Ocean El Faro: Polishing Needed

This Resort needs lots of polishing. Staff needs proper training. Bell Boys we found out don't get tips, with good reason as they do little to help guests. We had to unload our bags, ask for someone to help to get them to our room and waited quite a while for someone to finally take us to our room. Doors to patio wouldn't lock, we were on the ground floor. Lock was installed upside down once someone finally came to fix it after numerous requests. Mini bar wasn't stocked daily unless we went to [... read more] find the person who does it. When we asked the person usually forgot. Wasn't able to get into a restaurant that didn't require a reservation, tables inside were empty and we were told they were full. Not impressed. Food in Italian restaurant didn't have any pasta, they told us it wasn't available, we had to settle for fish and steak. Steak restaurant delivered our dinners not as we ordered, and plastic wrap was in my husbands neal. We complained to guest services. Thankfully Ivin took care of the situation. Food wasn't all that great. Lobby bar had the best staff and was a pleasure to go there in the evening. When checking out we had to bring our own luggage without any Bell Boys help. The pools were beautiful, lazy river lots of fun. Beach was very small, rocky and sand very hard. Next time we will go to a resort that has been around for a while, this resort only opened in December, needs lots of polishing. H10 staff was soliciting daily until you told them that you had the sermon they wanted you to attend for 20 minutes. It was annoying. Not impressed. Rooms were beautiful.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Perfection in Paradise

My fiancé and I had the most amazing experience this past week at the Bahia Principe Samaná. We booked a room with no balcony or view so we didn't know what to expect, but were wowed with a first floor terrace of our own overlooking the ocean. (From looking around, it appears all rooms face the ocean) All staff was incredibly friendly and clearly there to cater to our needs. The resort is small enough that there were never lines for food, drinks or trouble finding spots at the pool and beach.  [... read more]The cliff above the beach is a local road so you can hear some traffic in the background while at the beach, but is hardly noticeable with the waves. There isn't much going on past 10:30pm, but that was perfect for us. We highly recommend taking the free ferry over to the island Cayo Laventado - and bring your snorkel! It is about an hour from the airport, but was cool to see a bit of the province and the locals on the way in. Overall, this resort was truly perfect!

Casa Marina Reef Resort: First and last time there

The new rooms are Nice and the cleaning ladies were professional The food was not good 90%of the staff was not friendly and for the pool we advised management that a lady had clean the son poop in the pool and the only thing they did was To pick up the poop and no treatment has been made

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort

The resort was beautiful as well as the rooms. The beach was beautiful also. Most of the staff were very friendly. The entertainment was poor because it was geared more for the children then for the adults. We didn't like having the kids mixed in with all the adults. There should have been an adult side and a kid side to this resort. The only restaurant that was very good was the Blue Grill. The buffet and other restaurants were lacking better quality food. We found that management were al [... read more]ways trying to upsell the other resorts they own. The $200.00 dollar resort credit is a joke. In order to use the resort credit, you could only use a certain amount of credit for a service and then you had to pay the rest. The prices for the spa were outrageously high. Even though the resort and beach is beautiful, we would not go back there mainly because of the poor management of the resort and for the fact that this resort is not geared to the adults.

Room type: swim-out, Diamond Club Pros: amazing service, very clean room and very well kept hotel, food is above average for Dominican Republic, fantastic entertainment, very friendly staff, good restaurants and especially loved the coffee shop with an amazing range of coffees and probably the biggest and nicest spa I have seen in DR (been there 7 times) Cons: a bit noisy if your prefer a more relaxed and quiet vacation, ocean is a bit rough, hotel is a bit isolated however is not a con if aga [... read more]in you prefer quiet Overall we had an amazing time and our butler (Thomas) was always available with a nice approach without being overbearing. The Royalton is a great hotel chain and I would return to any of their hotels in a heartbeat. Loved it!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing!! Would absolutely return!!

Beautiful resort, from the grounds (landscaping well maintained and gorgeous) to the rooms and of course the beach!! Lots of food choices at the restaurants. Don Pablo- a la carte restaurant was superb!! Rooms are very large and very clean. Beach was amazing. Great sunsets. Lots of lounging chairs with plenty of shades areas if you want. Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Great time at Hard Rock Punta Cana

We visited the H are Rock Punta Cana during March Break, we had a great time, gorgeous beach, great service and food. Place is huge and has lots to offer. Only downside was that it was US spring break but we kept our distance from the drunken teens. It would be exceptional during another time!

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Soon 2 be amazing

We vacationed at the Senator on Feb 22/19. Resort was only 75% completed, 2 restaurants were still papered up saying coming soon, we weren't offered 25% off our vacation. It will be a great spot once finished if they correct a few other issues like running out of premium booze during the day, a micky of scotch & 2 pepsi being a stocked room fridge, some of the workers weren't very good with the English language, they were all very friendly. Missing was pool volleyball which my husband loves, as well the daily activities need some work. The buffet was excellent for all of our 3 meals daily as the Italian & Steakhouse was lined up. We upgraded to Oceanview wasn't worth the $. Need to keep bars open longer as the sports bar get very busy when the others shut, 1 mid afternoon & pool bar 8pm. About 40 minutes from airport, beautiful mountains all around. They burn their garbage Mon-Fri so the smell of burning plastics linger in the morning air!
