Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very Nice Resort. Would return.

The grounds were immaculate and the hotel very nice. The room and bed was very comfortable. The light beside the dresser was not working but we did not report it so not blaming anyone there although I think the rooms could be checked for working lights etc. prior to customer check-in. Personally, we prefer a room that is well lit with bright lights. The bathroom was fine although the tap at the sink was very worn and stiff to turn on and off. The hotel could use some renovation. We h [... read more]ad some problems with the room safe but got very quick response from security who came twice to fix it. We were impressed by the fast response. The staff on the whole was wonderful. The Waiters, Waitresses and Entertainment as well as Front Desk Staff were first class. One of the waiters in particular, Shaquille was outstanding. The one thing that was bad for us was how hot the lobby was. We sat in the lobby most nights while the entertainment was on in the night at the stage on the balcony outside the lobby. There were a couple of fans but was not enough to cool the entire lobby. Don't know if the air condition was on but could feel nothing and found the heat almost unbearable. A suggestion, if the air not turned on, standing fans or wall or overhead fans placed all around the lobby would be helpful to help cool the place down. The heat in the lobby was a big minus for us. The beach by the children's water park was very lovely and the beach entertainment staff were excellent. We found the food in the buffet very good especially the Jamaican cuisine. The fruit offerings was disappointing but I guess it was the time of year of our visit. Was hoping for mangoes and local fruits galore. Would definitely like to return with our children and grandchildren in the not so distant future.

Riu Ocho Rios: Second thought.

I was expecting fresher fruits, you could see that at times oxidation on the fruits, changing colour.Meat not well seasoned at times. I think the hotel should have a policy where individuals dressed approriately (almost naked the day they were born)off beach.I wouldn't dear have my kids there. The staff were great; hard working, hospitable and friendly. The worst part was the night before I was so sick in my room 2 hrs after Wednesday night dinner, at first I thought I was poisoned because I  [... read more]remembered I left my soup unattended to get my food. I believed the red kidney beef soup I had was contaminated which deprived me of the night's sleep.

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: Mediocre Experience

This was not my first time travelling to Jamaica and my experience during this trip was not up to par with my previous experiences, which were in fact are smaller scale resorts. First of all, our room was not available at time of check in, we were only offered 100 USD credit amongst the 3 members in our room, and the credit was only accessible for resort expenses (gift shop or spa etc). The best part of the resort is that the pool is large and beautiful, however it felt like the pool bar [... read more] was understaffed and the staff were overworked. The resort does not allow for personal music to played at any point, however you cant hear music much further away from the pool. Food was generic, I was hoping to have more access to Jamaican food, and the jerk hut is closed by 6 pm, so the options for late night food options were very limited. There is only one sports bar, where the food service was very slow. Sometimes had to wait over an hour for food.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Nice staff

Originally went to this resort to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We got married at this resort 10 years ago. The staff is very nice and friendly the food wasnt too good. The concierge is nice but very harassing when it comes to sales for membership. The pool music was good. The entertainment was ok. The party vibe is pretty slow there. Most likely will try a different resort for our next trip to Jamaica.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great resort, average service

My wife and I went to BP Luxury RB resort (adult section) to celebrate our wedding anniversary on October 7 for one week. Overall it was a good experience, however it could have been better. Let's start with the pros: The resort facilities are beautiful and very well maintained, the rooms are very clean and spacious, the corridors and common areas are pristine. I believe it would be worth it. The food was not good to our taste and at par compared to previous experiences at other luxury resorts in the Caribbean. There are only 3 restaurants, however getting reservations is very challenging, therefore we ended up having most of our meals at the buffets. The food served there was almost the same every day. On the package it was offered the access of the facilities of the family section including the restaurants, however some of them were closed due to low occupancy and getting reservations for the rest was impossible. The best for us was the Japanese Mikado tepanyaki dinner. The resort is great however the service is not the same. A lot of servers at the bars and restaurants had bad attitude and were, in some cases, rude. We believe that because of the low occupancy there were a lot of locals, in particular on the weekends, that got preferred treatment for service at the bars and restaurants than the rest of the tourists. The beach on our side was man made, small, shallow and rocky. I found this resort over priced, not 5 starts due to the service. The beach, the entertainment and the bar hours were better on the family section.

Riu Reggae: Always a good time in jamaica

We actually stayed at the riu palace which was right next to riu reggae and we could access and easily walk across. Overall it's a great complex, there was enough authentic jamaican food to enjoy. The service in general was really great. No issues when interacting with employees and they were very friendly and warm. The animation team was top notch; the best energy I've experienced. Lots of Americans, so the music is geared towards Americans. But still a descent variety.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great resort unfortunate experience

I visited Grand Bahia Jamaica several times in the past I loved it so much I had even recommended it to my friend who eventually had her wedding there! Naturally I figure this would be a great resort to return to for some nice relaxation days, beach days and great food! The trip started off great it's a wonderful resort, unfortunately on the 3rd evening a couple friends and I ran into a really really pushy bartender... long story short... would not take no for an answer from any of us and made u [... read more]s these drinks I don't drink alcohol and I repeatedly told him that but he forced me to take a sip of one despite me repeatedly saying no! then he made me something that was supposed to be virgin a red drink which I still didn't want..I tasted it it tasted a little bit off then he would like tell me ...oh go and see my friend blah blah he wants to know if you guys are going to the disco or whatever so I walked over and told his friend no I'm cool here doing karaoke, his friend was fine I turned around and there's the bartender with the drink holding up right behind me.. I bumped into him! he's following me around with this drink... so I took the drink, I put it on the counter I went to the washroom the drink stayed there I'm singing and I got thirsty and I was about to take another sip and a lady she told me no I wouldn't drink that if I were you ..one of the other patrons.. so I left it kept singing and eventually I got so thirsty I forgot and naturally took a sip ..I finished about 1/3 of the drink. That night I woke up SICK 🤢 I kept thinking about what happened. The friends I was hanging out with were leaving that morning so I went to say goodbye really early. but I couldn't shake this uncomfortable feeling about the night before and I was feeling soo inexplicably sick...not gastro..so I decide I have to speak to someone. was already not feeling right so I wanted to speak to somebody higher up because I just like kept thinking when I woke up in the middle of the night did this really happen like there's more details but did this really happen?? so I went to my front desk and it's very hard to be able to speak with somebody of authority there, you have to tell your story to so many people before you can get to somebody that can do something so I was really adamant about I don't want to tell it to you and then her and then him and so on.... eventually I was told okay fine we'll get the building supervisor to call you and he did. I met with him; Carlos he was very supportive then he walked me to my room and told me that he's going to go check the cameras at the security office, he came back a bit to long later with a form saying that I have to fill out this incident report it says voluntary but he says I have to fill it out so I fill out the form in detail while he went back to go look at the cameras. He comes back and he's like I "everything you said is a hundred percent we saw everything, he is gone today. I'm so sorry, I will come check on you personally each day.."now mind you I have four more days left in my trip everybody else is gone I'm still there so I told him like I felt uncomfortable even going around the resort because it's like okay everybody there are friends now this person may have gotten fired and like we were quite noticeable there, we were a good group, we met a lot of people and for the most part everybody was really nice... but Carlos reassured me that nobody will bother me and everything is going to be okay. I was like okay fine I went to the far Beach the nice one on the grand side it's a beautiful beach and what do I hear?!..two lifeguards talking about the situation and then I went to go and sit down in front of one of the buffets just outside they have some tables and I was just watching Netflix and right behind me two cleaning staff were also talking about it and one had more information clearly than the other one and then I ran into the person's friend that evening and it was the coldest coldest coldest look and attitude I got from that person so my last couple days after spending so much money on this trip was pretty much spent in my room and the man said he was going to come back and check on me everyday he never did there was no follow-up there was no nothing I don't know what happened. I did not eat breakfast because I was so anxious to leave the room...it took me to get so hungry and run out for dinner quick and come back to my room...worst four days on vacation ever. Subsequently I spoke to my friend and she brought up how sick her husband got as he drank a full drink and she also got sick. Then the 3rd girl that we were with brough tup how odd the bartender was and why he was following me and being sooooo invasive and persistent..mind you .they had no idea I had filed a complaint as yet...turns out we all separately had our own discomforts with that bartender the same night. They have left reviews and complained but no one at Grand Bahia has reached out to date. And no one ever followed up with me from the written complaint I filed while there. I would love too go back and have a great experience in order to wipe out this past experience but with no follow up/conflict resolution, I do not want to put myself nor my money at risk again. Therefore I will not be recommending to others at this time

Ocean Coral Spring: Very chill and relaxing resort

It is a clean and very well kept resort. Relaxing, quiet, with a beautiful sunset seen throughout the resort. Food and drinks all hours 😌 😋 Chill, hardworking and friendly staffs. If you like to enjoy things slow and to just relax I recommend this place.

Ocean Eden Bay: Incredible Experience and Worth every dollar

This hotel is a beautiful example of a 5-star all-inclusive resort. My boyfriend and I decided to go to Ocean Eden for our anniversary and we were picked up from the airport and delivered to the hotel after an hour bus ride through the beautiful coast. At the hotel, the check-in process was easy and the room was available before the 3 o'clock check-in time. The garden view of our room was amazing and we sat in the cool egg-hanging chairs on the balcony and watched the thunderstorms go by (when it did rain an hour a day) and would have a red stripe beer (complimentary in all rooms) The hotel had fantastic restaurants that are worth staying on the adults-only side for because you can go use the Coral Springs amenities but they can't come to Ocean Eden so it was WORTH IT for the small price difference. Go to the Blue Moon restaurant it was AMAZING! Our beach was rocky but with the most beautiful, bath-warm water in the world. You could see all the way down to the bottom and the staff are always working hard to clean the seaweed off the beach, no matter what side you are on. The night shows of the steel drums, one love show, and water ballet were awesome. The ocean Eden side was a private beach whereas the coral springs had a section where people could come and sell things on the beach, but they never bothered the beachgoers. So if a private beach is important to you, do the Ocean Eden side. Even if you go to Ocean Eden you can use all the beaches, but kids can't come to the adult side. Overall, all the staff were wonderful. The help we received from the front desk, the cooks and waiters, the lifeguards and towel people, and the activities coordinator, all took care of and remembered each clientele as they came in. Everyone was so helpful and lovely. I would highly recommend this hotel. They take care of their guests and show them a beautiful time in Jamaica. We will certainly be returning to this hotel and recommending it to others in the future. Thank you Ocean Eden for such a wonderful experience. The people who work there made this travel experience unforgettable.

Azul Beach Resort Negril: Lots of renovation

Beautiful resort, clean, staff friendly. The restaurants were closed and the food was terrible. The authentic Jamaican food was missing. The fish was over cooked. Music was missing throughout the resort. Lots of renovations.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Fantastic Hotel

Pros: I Loved my spa day - my massage therapist was Eva and I got the Jamaican message (similar to Swedish). Entertainment team was awesome, entertainment manager, Liyah, and her team brought the energy!!! Every space was covered with entertainment staff (lobby, poolside, and beach). Pre Check-in was easy and time efficient! Beautiful ocean room view! Beautiful pool! My room bathroom ceiling was leaking, took a day and half to fix even after I complained - staff should have offered another room. Adult beach VERY rocky.

Riu Negril: Awsome resort

Everything about this resort is outstanding! Food is to die for! Grounds are beautiful and well kept up! Rooms are very clean and immaculate! The staff is very friendly and outgoing! I highly recommend this resort for sure!

We have been to this resort three times now and always enjoy it. Clean rooms and resort and amazing food. Decent night life and entertainment. Friendly staff Great location and beaches We highly recommend this resort Lots of activities nearby if interested

Couples Swept Away: 11th Visit

We love this resort so much we just came back from 11th visit to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Everyone is so friendly, it's like returning home each time. Beautiful lush grounds and low rise buildings set on a beautiful beach with the most amazing sunsets in the world.

Couples Swept Away: Awesome relaxation

This was our 9th time to CSA and we love it more every time we go. The whole experience is uplifting relaxing and good for the soul. The food is delicious, the people that keep CSA going are amazing. You can be quiet and relax or you can be busy with the many outdoor and indoor amenities CSA has to offer. We can't say one negative thing about CSA even the bus ride is fun and educational.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Will return every year.

This resort is amazing, entertainment staff amazing, bartenders amazing, waitresses amazing. Food amazing. Beach amazing. Pools There amazing. The owners need to limit the amount of day passes on the weekends.. There was very long waits at the buffet. Besides that our stay was great.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Average resort

The resort was beautiful, but we were not impressed with our room. We received an upgraded room which we were told was bigger but the poolside was shared with three other couples which was not ideal. Our in-room beverage service (from coffee to champagne) was not restocked daily as advertised and briefed; we needed to request this from the concierge each day which detracted from the (advertised and paid for) Sandals all-inclusive experience. Grand Palladium Jamaica: very entertaining and beautiful!

i loved all the entertainment they provided. the live music and the party on the beach with the fire show was my favourite. my room was amazing with a great view. the service was exemplary. thank you for an amazing stay!

This hotel was very clean, and all the staff was extremely friendly. Manuela was very helpful with everything we needed, and everything went smoothly. Food was amazing and I would definitely go back again!

Secrets Wild Orchid: Amazing time at this resort

This resort was amazing. The food was great, the rooms were nice and clean, and the staff was fantastic! We went to this resort for our honeymoon and it offered great entertainment, relaxing atmosphere, and very romantic. We would definitely revisit. booking with Kevin was a breeze and we are so that he helped us out with this decision.
