Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Spend your money elsewhere & avoid disappointment

Gorgeous beach and layout of rooms but wow, what a hot mess! They clearly rushed construction of this resort and it shows. We travelled with a group of 15 family and friends. EVERYONE had an issue with their room & needed to be moved. From poor craftsmanship & construction we had leaks causing ceiling to fall apart, electrical/ power issues, air conditioning failures and safe problems. Room & roof repairs required - you'd never know this place only opened in Dec! Also, as mentioned we travelled  [... read more]in a large group & made reservations at the steak house - to dine together. However we were seated separately. The staff argued with us as to why they would or could not seat us at one table even though restaurant was at only 25% capacity. After much "negotiating" they accommodated us but what an awful experience. Finally, for the cost & rating, would expect better food selection & meals to arrive hot, but everywhere we ate, the food was delivered cold! Folks got sick at the Italian restaurant. Staff/mgrs cannot think outside the box. Our butler salvaged our trip, Carlos was wonderful and understood customer service. Fourth trip back to Punta Cana, first at this hotel - Staff were very nice but good leadership needed to truly make this a 5 star resort

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

When we arrived to the hotel Majestic Elegance we were mesmerized by how gorgeous it was. The environment as well as the staff made feel so welcome. They all took their time to go above and beyond to make our trip so memorable. Another thing we liked about the resort, was how open it was and the scenery made the trip very memorable for us. We both had a marvellous time, and would definitely recommend this resort to anyone. Last but not least, the food was to die for.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort

This resort is very green and lush. The food at the buffet is very good and some of the a la cartes are very good. We travelled with 6 other people ages 50 to 60 and we all agreed that this resort was very good. The seaside grill (steak ) and the oceana (sea food ) were very good and the Italian and French not so much. The buffet had everything you could ask for so I didn't mind going there instead of a la cartes. We went from february 10th to the 17th and it looked at full capacity so sometimes [... read more] when we went to the a la cartes we had a long wait(it didn't help that we were 8 people) but if we found the wait to long we went to the buffet. All the workers were very nice and helpful except for the waiter at the french restaurant. If the resort is full the chairs at the pool get reserved early and also at the beach. Sometimes we wanted to sit at the pool in the afternoon after the beach but there were no chairs to be found. The same at the beach... we went early and had no problems but saw people looking hard for chairs later in the morning. The beach is very nice but we are used to the beach around the bahia principe which is much nicer but we were fine with it. We had a very nice holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this resort. p.s I see in the reviews that some people complain about the rooms...we found our room very nice(deal of the day). We knew that it wasn't big and had no dresser so we brought extra hangers and there are shelves in the closet so it was just fine.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Amazing Vacation at Dreams Punta Cana

I visited Dreams Punta Cana for the third time from Feb 12-18 (first two visits in 2010 & 2011). I was a bit nervous that the resort would not be as nice, since it had been 6 years since I had last visited. I was VERY happy to discover that the resort was just as INCREDIBLE as it had been with my previous two visits. I was there with my cousin to celebrate our milestone birthdays. Every single member of their staff made our vaca [... read more]tion an absolutely unforgettable one (from the bartenders, to the waiters, to the bell boys, to the security guards, to the grounds keepers, to the wonderful animation team). We were treated like royalty all week. Our vacation at Dreams was the BEST birthday gift we could possibly have received. Upon arrival, we were assigned a room on the first floor, which was not ideal – I prefer an upper floor, but we decided to not complain and accept it anyway (we are not there to spend much time in the room). However, when we entered the room, it had a VERY strong musty smell (this is my 12th visit in Dominican Republic, so I am aware that the rooms can smell a bit due to the high level of humidity, but this one was VERY bad). In addition, the safe in the room was broken. A quick trip back to the check in desk and we were switched right away, no problem. Our second room (on an upper level) was much better. That really was the only hiccup during our trip. I have absolutely NO other complaints regarding this property. We tried the spa on our second day since it was raining. We were treated to a WONDERUL white chocolate body scrub, a chocolate body wrap, a full body massage, champagne and chocolate truffles. It was absolutely DIVINE! We felt like absolute princesses. So relaxing! The food at Dreams was really good. Always something really good to eat. We tried the main buffet, the beach side grill, the Japanese (a la carte AND the teppanyaki grill) and the steak house and really enjoyed each and every single one. Like I mentioned previously, the Dreams staff is absolutely a gem! They truly made our week unforgettable. They got us dancing every evening and laughing every day. We had so much fun with the entire animation team (to name a few: Juana, Benjamin Franklin, Jhonny Be Good, Yesson, Crazy Boy, Skinny Boy, Super Luis). I truly hope they are recognized for their tireless efforts EVERY day ensuring guests are having the best time of their lives. Another really sweet staff member I must mention is Domingo (one of the grounds keepers, but was training to become a bell boy on our last day). We had met him 6 years ago and he remembered us. Such a sweetheart. I would absolutely return to Dreams with NO hesitations!

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Great Nickelodeon Punta Cana Experience

This is one of the most luxurious and best family resorts in the Caribbean. We really enjoyed our stay. The resort is clean, family friendly and the food is amazing!! We all enjoyed the water park. The staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms were comfortable and roomy

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Amazing resort for families with small children

The resort is amazing for young families, not so much for couples. The resort is nicely laid out, easy access to pools, buffets, beach etc. The rooms are very clean and spacious, however, the AC is on a motion / eco sensor so does not run unless you are in your room which can be very uncomfortable coming back to a very warm room after a day in the sun. As well, it's rated a 5 star but high end premium drinks are not included and the food is very much the same as in every resort, you won't go hun [... read more]gry but nothing special. The best part of this resort are the staff, we were greeted upon check-in by a very friendly young lady and our rooms were ready upon arrival (noon), the housekeeping staff always supplied us with towels and toiletries and our bar was re-stocked every day; no issues getting beach towels. We traveled with another couple and found most of the guests kept to themselves or were busy tending unruly children so there wasn't any friendly conversations with other guests we are used to at other resorts. It is a lovely resort but I wouldn't go back, we paid less money at other resorts and had a lot more fun.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Nothing special

There were many shortcomings. Our room keys didn't work on the first day, so we had to wait for a technician to come and change the door battery. The air conditioner was broken when we arrived, so we had to wait for another technician. Minibar was rarely stocked. Also, some of the equipment at the Ambar Blue gym likely has not been replaced since the 80s. Also , it was very difficult to communicate with much of the customer service staff as few of them speak English, which one would expect [... read more] in a tourist environment. Finally, much of the restaurant staff was constantly trying to sell us cocaine.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Honeymoon desaster

Me and my wife been to punta cana 6 times and this was by far are worst experience......honeymoon happens just once and for two weeks we regrets booking in this hotel.The beach is nice but after 8 impossible to get a chair even at the pool.Food a la carte was ok but the buffet was very repetitive 6 times on 9 breakfast nobody came to serve us coffee or somethink to drink.Dominicaine employee seem to be so unhappy at this resort a first for us the maid dindt change towel we where suppose to be li [... read more]ke vip since we where in honeymoon suite we PAID EXTRA FOR THAT.Room service and maid was so awfull.We where change to a royal suite because the air conditionning dint work in are room the royal suite was nice but it came with cockroach that was a first to.........i could go on and on with this nightmare.We work so hard all year to be able to pay extra for are honeymoon this was the most expensive trip and by far the worst.....

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Incredible resort

This resort was amazing from the grounds, the food, the staff and the beach! Our swim up room was the best and the pool just perfect. There was even free range on resort peacocks and flamingos. There were so many excursions to choose from and awesome on resort night life. There is literally something for everyone, even an "explorers club" for the kids. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Excellent resort for the whole family.

Huge resort with excellent transportation to all points of attraction, rooms very clean and refreshed daily, beach and pools ready for everyone to enjoy. All personnel friendly and happy to help with any request. Very enjoyable and relaxing vacation.

Pushy uncaring people, poor service....would gladly go back to Cuba over Dominican after this experience Not much seafood if that is your thing. Had to personally call roomservice more than once just to have toilet paper

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Perfect wedding destination!!

The grounds were Wonderful, it was truly a dream to be there. We had our wedding here and everything went so well very easy to work with. Although very little communication between staff it seemed.. The resort is family friendly if your child is 3 or over. Kind of disappointed that you could only go into the child explorers club for 30 min a day since our son was one month shy of his third birthday. The food is great lots of choices. I would definitely recommend the preferred club as well.

Riu Palace Bavaro: Beautiful spot!

Great place to stay. The rooms are very clean , and towels and sheets changed daily. The variety of food was amazing. If you couldn't find something you liked ! , I would be amazed. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The beach was heaven. I would recommend this resort to all of my friends and family.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Good trip

Hotel , pools, food and rooms ok, staff very were very friendly and helpful. Kids enjoyed the water park and pools. Lobby bars were very busy the first few days as we had rain. We did however experience bed bug bits, though at the time we thought they were other bits, until got home. Overall all we got what we paid for, resort was very busy the week we stayed.

Riu Republica: Outstanding

Well let me start with amazing people,food,drinks , coco bongo. All the trips we went on were really fun and the tour guides were very good at there jobs no one was left behind sober or intoxicated. The locals are extremely friendly and kind. I would go back in a heartbeat. The resort was perfectly laid out.

The rooms and grounds were awesome. The beach was terrific, the best snorkelling on Bavaro beach. The water got deep quite fast unlike some other resorts beaches but still amazing. Beautiful gazebo at beach ideal for weddings. The staff were also amazing.... Maids did a super job cleaning, gardeners did a terrific job grooming and cleaning, bartenders were fantastic especially Jesuito and Hector and Sugey at the colonial club beach bar. The food was good for the most part, some dishes we didn't  [... read more]like but could always find several good ones. We spent two weeks here in February 2017 and would highly recommend this resort.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Very good Resort

The grounds at this Resort was well maintained and very tidy. The public areas was keep cleaned daily by the Staff. Room was a bit dated and there was problems upon arrival with our patio door lock broken, toilet didn't flush properly and musty smell. We reported this to the front desk, they fixed the items right away and put the ventilation system on which fixed the musty smell, they offered to give us another room the next day but we declined as they had fixed the items. Food at buffet was very good with different various dishes daily and the Gourmet Restaurant was great . Bring your face cloths, Resort uses hand towels fro face cloths.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Disappointing Resort

As a first timer to an all-inclusive resort I was not sure what to expect. I was happy with the location, the accomodations, the food, the beach and pool facilities. However, there were small issues that tainted the experience for me. Check in at the resort was a nightmare. Waiting in line to get to the desk for almost an hour is totally unacceptable, especially as I was travelling with my son and daughter-in-law and my 6 month old grandson. We had already had a long wait in lines at the ai [... read more]rport. It seemed if we wanted anything like change for our money or a change of room due to excessive noise, we had to really argue with staff to get anywhere. Service in some of the restaurants was not very good and in one of the restaurants the evening meal was a disaster. On the beach, which we were told was a public area, we had hotel staff tell us we could not put our chairs in certain areas. They put comfortable beds under certain umbrellas but there was no note indicating that if you wished to use these there was a $10.00 US charge per day. If you did not pay for the bed you were told you could not even put your beach chair in the same location as the bed. Not acceptable!!! Our party had a few other complaints so needless to say we will not be returning to this location.

Sunscape Dominican Beach: excelent two week stay

excellent beach,pools and buildings. Garden areas are being freshly planted daily and will grow up looking beautiful.Staff are friendly and always smileing and trying to help.Food was great and plentiful.

NICE ROOMS CLEAN , GROUNDS KEPT CLEAN, RESORT NOT OVER CROWDED,STAFF FRIENDLY. FOOD IS PRETTY STANDARD GOOD SELECTION .ENTERTAINMENT IS AVERAGE SAME BASIC THEME EACH NIGHT. BEACH IS NICE NO PROBLEM TO GET A CHAIR TO SUN AND LOUNGE. POOL IS NOT OVERCROWDED LOTS OF PLACES TO SIT. LOTS OF STAFF TO WAIT ON YOU.GREAT RESORT IF YOU WANT TO RELAX AND HAVE QUIET TIME. AL A CARTE VENUES OKAY LIMITED WITH THEIR SELECTIONS FOOD OKAY.
