Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Nice friendly place

Nice place clean place, lots of exciting things to do, the food was decent, servise is great and deffanity will be returning in the future would recommend anyone to stay and is definitely worth the money

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Big disappointment

Far from a good experience.Our room was good and the maid was very attentive.The food was the worse we have had at any hotel.Have been to Cuba many times .The staff were very polite but not properly trained.However front desk staff were very rude unlike the bar staff and food servers who were very good under difficult conditions.The pools and beach were very nice but we still will not return. victor and marguerite

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: 1st time to Cuba and this resort was hands down AMAZING!!!!!!

We travel yearly all over and decided to give Cuba a chance. This resort was simply amazing! From the beautiful beach and pool areas, to the spacious rooms, delicious food and the friendliest people around! We did not do Diamond Club and we're unlikely to pay that much extra for it as it didn't seem worth it. Regardless of room category, everyone gets assigned 2 butlers during their stay. Always going above and beyond to find us to make sure everything was ok. The food at this resort was fantastic and the service even better. The buffet had lots of options, you also have the option of grabbing a bite at the 24hr Bistro or lunch at the snack bar by the pool which serves delicious Cuban sandwiches, ham and cheese sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs and pulled chicken sandwiches....all accompanied with a huge assortment of fixings! The 4 a la carte restaurants were great, I had the best steak at the seafood restaurant then I've ever had back home! There are no reservations for a la carte's so we found going for dinner by 7 was your best chance at getting a table without having to wait. If you do have to wait, you are given a beeper which works throughout the resort so really not a problem as you can go grab a drink and socialize until your table is ready :) Roberto in the Jazz bar was amazing! So attentive, never ever were we waiting and our drinks were always topped up! Oh and the Sangria's he makes are delicious! He will be our friend for life! Service in the lobby bar (which is 24hrs) was hit and miss at any time of day. It's a great place to get a special coffee but when the sevice is poor it makes it frustrating, especially when it was rarely that busy. This really is the only area that needs improvement with service! Pool service was fantastic! Jani and Ari were always coming by to make sure our drinks were full, and always with a nice greeting and big smiles :) We didn't spend a lot of time lounging at the beach but when we did service was good as well. The people that made our stay fun, enjoyable and wanting to return were Anita (butler), Roberto (Jazz bar), Dayana, Yani, Yare (day and night maids), Alberto, Reglita, Jeni (Buffet restaurant), Jani, Ari (pool bar service) They truly work so hard to make sure you are happy and we definitely rewarded them with tips and gifts! Cubans are very grateful and appreciate anything given to them! The only difference Cuba is to other countries is that when you tip at the bars or restaurants, they don't keep them to themselves, they have to share. So service seems to be equal regardless if you tip or not. But don't be cheap! These people work extremely hard and deserve to be rewarded! This resort was much quieter then I was expecting which was nice as I wasn't really looking forward to a lot of loud partying guests. We are in our mid 40's, most guests were 50+. The benefit of this was that there was always a pool or beach lounger to be found at any time of day and there was very rarely anyone in the pool. Bonus for us! All in all, this resort was fantastic and we will definitely return! We don't have much to compare to in regards to other resorts in Cuba, but we did hear some horror stories from guest's staying at other resorts in regards to running out of wine, vodka, butter etc. This was never ever an issue at The Royalton! If you are looking for a loud partying resort, this is not the resort for you. It is much more laid back (entertainment staff do try to get guests involved but didn't seem to work probably based on the age of guests) However, maybe this was just a one off and could possibly be a younger crowd the next time we go. In my opinion, if you want a great resort, only choose one that is 5* in Cuba as their standards are much different then Mexico or DR. noliDUO Havana Varadero: cushions

Beautiful hotel in Havana. No complaints. The following review is for the Iberostar Laguna Azul in Varadero. Hotel needs maintenance work. Many services were out such as elevators, hot water and aTV. Lobby and terrace didn't have cushions and was therefore uncomfortable. Food is not great even by Cuban standards. Was understaffed at times. Staff was trying to keep up and was mostly friendly but I often overheard them asking clients to "be patient".

Melia Costa Rey: Beautiful resort with very friendly helpful staff

The pictures on the Pullman website reflect how beautiful the resort is. The 4 pools are centrally located and very clean. The entertainment team at the pool were great fun. Had games for adults and children and an aqua fit program each noon. The reception area is very large with a glorious view of the ocean. Staff were helpful as we needed to change rooms as my friend and I have bad backs and needed to be placed on a lower floor. There were plenty of beach chairs and a bar at each end that serviced drinks and food.Rooms were large, clean and had all the essentials (i.e.shampoo,body wash,soap, body lotion, tooth brushes and shower caps) Food was fine with breakfast being my favorite meals. Loved the fruit smoothies each morning. Fresh fish everyday. The Chirros( thin donuts) served at a hut on the way to the beach were to die for.. Weather was great and I loved every moment . Melia Jardines del Rey: Three stars

Thankful for wonderful bars and waitress staff, but customer service staff were not helpful at all. Issues with hot water and balcony door not closing and we were on bottom floor.called customer services but not mush help there. Called about la k of hot water and bathroom flooded and they brought us clean towels at 10 o’clock at night but no one to clean up flood. Toilet not working probably which took three day to get fixed. Not what I expected from what I had been told by people who had been [... read more] there before.

Playa Pesquero: Sun, sand & snorkeling

The hotel was adequate but had a broken faucet that was promptly attended to, but not repaired. I attribute this to a lack of materials, and the staff did all they could do. This was evident in other supplies, most notably the food, which was proudly served but low on quality and variety. The staff were very patient and friendly despite incredible rudeness from many of the guests. Don Lino Hotel: Nice place, won't hurry back.

This was my 8th stay at Don Lino and the buffet is worse every time I go. Cuba was running low on beer everywhere and it was impossible to get gas for the scooter I rented. This might all be due to the US embargo, but either way I will not be returning to Cuba for a while. My tourist dollars are too valuable to waste.

Playa Costa Verde: Another amazing vacation at Playa Costa Verde

Hotel is very clean & well maintained. Some upgrades are required but they seem to be trying. Food is good, a la carte restaurants are amazing. Have been there 14 times & still love it. Staff is amazing. Looking forward to returning next year 😊.

Club Karey: Right on the beach!

I loved the fact that the hotel is right on the beach! You cannot ask for more. The personnel is very friendly. The food was ok; I'd have liked dessert options. More palapas and beach chairs would have been nice as well.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: certainly not a 5* resort

Brisas Covarrubias: Friendly resort!

This is my second time at this resort, this time we brought our kids along for the ride. It is a long 2 hour bus drive from the airport, as adults we didn't mind the ride as it gives you a good scenic view of Cuba. Our last visit was 3 years ago and the resort seemed to have a little more entertainment my first time around. We paid for 2 ocean view rooms and were first placed on a bottom floor room. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, if you are a returning guest they love to see familiar faces. The mosquitos and noseeums after dusk were horrendous, so unfortunately we did come home with some unwanted bites on us. You could not ask for a nicer beach! We spent most mornings and afternoons here. They have a beach bar where they serve burgers and fries which was awesome for our teenagers! The pool was mostly good except for our last day, it was cloudy and needing a good cleaning. We were pleased with the buffet on most nights as well. Overall, we enjoyed our visit at this small family friendly resort and will definitely return.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Fun time

We did have fun and staff was great. Suggest upgrading to privilege. Food in pricilage was amazing but buffet was awful and im not a picky eater. We did have issues with not having towels and not being able to get fresh beach towels. There is nowhere to exchange them on the grounds like other resorts. To get a new beach towel you have to leave your towel in your room and the maid would exchange them if there were enough. Melia Las Dunas: Family vacation at its best.

This was our second time at Meliá las Dunas. Hotel is great. Beach is one of the nicest I’ve been to in the World. Pools are large, clean and fun to be around. Rooms fantastic. Food was above average for our standards. Some times they were out of certain items on the menu but that’s what happens in Cuba. Lastly. The staff were out of this World. noliDUO Havana Varadero: Iberostar Laguna Azul STAY AWAY

Just returned from Iberostar Laguna Azul. Worst all inclusive hotel I have ever stayed at. Reserved through Air Transat. Issues encountered by us and most guests we talked to: No hot water for 2 1/2 days no TV for 2 days Almost all elevators were non functional. Our room was on 5th floor Our Air conditioner in room made noise like a buldozer Red and white wine tasted watered down Coffee was so weak we had to order Cafe Americano at lobby bar but line up in morning took 15 -20 minutes. Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Beautiful Resort

Everything was great. Rooms were clean. Food was great never starved. Beach was amazing. Lots of places to go snorkelling. Staff very helpful. 24 hour snack bar was great. Will be going back to this resort again.

Brisas Covarrubias: Great resort!!

The resort is small and family oriented. Friendly staff. Paid for ocean view room and was put on bottom floor, so could have been better room. The beach was superb, however the bugs after dusk were awful. Food and drinks were plentiful. Bus ride from airport is long but you get to see a little bit of Cuba along the way. My third time visiting this resort, would definitely go here again.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Enjoyable Stay

This was our second time at this resort. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean but the air conditioning only worked at times. The beach was lovely and kept very clean. Overall we were very satisfied and would definitely return.

Blau Varadero: Amazing resort for adults

A nice relaxing resort with very little commotion, it was a relaxing time. There was always chairs available and everyday new activities. But generally people where not doing much, no big parties or frat bros making a mess of things. The resort was amazing, building was stunning. Location and beach where the best I've ever seen. The service was alright for the most part attentive, however every now and then they would ignore you completely. The staff barely knows English which is not a  [... read more]big deal however a good note to make it you have anything that requires deep understanding of the language it can be hard to convey properly and get the response you need.

Club Amigo Marea Del Portillo: Resort

We travel to Cuba frequently throughout the winter and this was our first time at this resort. The resort itself was charming but the problem was with some of the staff. We are used to staff that takes your order and delivers it to you while at the Coffee/Snack Bar at other resorts and this one you needed to stand in line to order.
