Punta Cana Princess: Love this place !

Third year going. We keep going back and are never disapointed. All rooms are walking distance to the beach. Resort is Clean, beautiful. Staff are amazing, very friendly. Food is great. No complaints, will defiantly go back again !

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Amazing resort

Can't wait to go back. We had a very relaxing time, enjoying the beach and the pool. There was a wide variety of food available and their Italian restaurant Il capriccio, has my top vote! Cleaning staff did an excellent job and were always available to provide more towels, water, and coffee. Beach and pool bartenders were always friendly, dancing and singing along with the music. We enjoyed the dancers and their enthusiasm to teach us their dance routine.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Very fun resort

The resort has a lot to offer for any age group. Lots of entertainment at night and daily activities. The food & drinks were also great. The check in was pretty slow but other than that we had an amazing time. Not everyone speaks the greatest English but we managed fine. I would recommend this resort to anyone and would go again :)

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Nice Resort. Some things to consider

Ambar Green, very nice rooms, very clean. Beds are firm. Mini bar restocked and no issues. Beach: Very busy and tight space with chairs. Clean. Not a place to sit on the beach for quite relaxation as all chairs are within a foot or two of your unknown neighbour. Pool: Very nice clean and not many persons around. Bars: Good service and polite staff. Food: Very good A la carte. Buffet food nice selection and very good tasting. No issues with the food. Buffet Service staff: Terr [... read more]ible. No service for beverages, not fancy cocktails just a glass of water was overlooked morning,noon or night meals. Check in: Only 8 couples for check in and took over an hour. They were unsure if rooms were ready or not. This was arriving after the 3 pm check in time. Rooms still were not ready. There is construction on one side of the resort, (Ambar Blue and Green). This begins at 0800 and does not finish until 1900 hrs. There are dump trucks, bulldozers and diesel equipment running throughout the day. If not in a pool side room it is not an option to sit on your balcony without constant disruption of noise and fumes. We are not people to sit in a room but we had two days of rain so we were unable to use the balcony to read a book or enjoy a cocktail. The service issues were not major just disappointing and frustrating when you wanted a hot or cold non alcoholic beverage or just to get checked in after a long day of travel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who books with a room on the construction side or someone who likes undisturbed relaxation on the beach.

TRS Turquesa: Just returned from Royal Suites by Turquesa

The beach is absolutely beautiful! We took a 45 minute walk every every morning. Delores does an amazing job serving the entire Royal beach! Although she works non-stop, on sunny days when the beach was busier she could have clearly used some help. If you have kids the water is a bit rough for them to play and would have to be very closely supervised. Lots of shade and sun available. Service is good, but language is a huge barrier. They barely speak English so do not go 'off script' as it ma [... read more]y seem that they are rude but they simply do NOT understand. 'Butler service' was included for us. Our butler Carlos was practically non-existent! He almost seemed annoyed when we asked him if he could book our reservations at the Steakhouse-to which he responded that we could not get a reservation because ALL Americans like steak? Not sure what he meant by that?! We later learned from another vacationer that the steakhouse was first-come-first-serve - and we simply walked in. Food: We really enjoyed the French restaurant for dinner. Fondue was amazing! Brazilian restaurant was just Ok and the steakhouse was very disappointing. The seafood, Mexican, and Spanish restaurants were good. The buffets were the typical all inclusive (even the Royal buffet). There was a good selection of drinks and they were quite good! It rained on Valentine's Day, so we decided to spend a few hours at the spa and used the facilities. It's free when staying at the Royal suites. We used the hot tub, steam room, sauna, even did a 'mud bath'. Lots of beds, towels and even its own healthy snack bar. No alcoholic drinks are served there. The property is spotless. They are always sweeping and mopping.

Tropical Deluxe Princess: Great family resort.

The staff was amazing. The rooms need updating but not bad. Had a few issues but they took care of it quickly. Took our 3 young daughters and we felt safe letting them run around on their own. Have to get up early to get pool or beach chairs. The beach towels were also hard to get, they never had enough clean and ready. They blamed the guest's for not returning them each night.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Beautiful hotel and beach!

This was honestly one of the most beautiful resorts I have been to. The grounds were so amazing and the beach and ocean were perfect! The food was delicious and so many choices. Did the Italian and Mexican a la carte and both were great. I did have to upgrade my wine 🍷 but no complaints. I would definitely return to this resort!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing Vacation

The resort is amazing. Always clean and the grounds pristine. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The abundance of staff was impressive. Our room was spotless and so comfortable. Food was fantastic. Everything we ate was delicious The selection of ala carte restaurants was very impressive. I highly recommend the Bahia Principe Ambar to anyone thinking of going to the DR. The extra it cost for the resort was well worth it!.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Very Disappointed

On a good note the Staff was wonderful, food was ok. Very disappointed with the rooms, we had requested a garden view room, and upon arrival we were given 2 rooms with a view of the main road and a fence. Because we arrived only at 6pm we were too tired to complain. The next morning we complained and were given other rooms with a better view but with 2 double beds and not a King. After changing rooms, we proceeded to the desk to book our reservations at particular Restaurants for the  [... read more]week, only to be told that all restaurants (Buffet excluded) were totally booked and the only times we could get were at 9pm or 9:15 pm, which being seniors was too late. We ended up eating every nite at the Buffet. with the exception of our last nite when I made a fuss and they told me to call the Restaurant we wanted directly to see if we could get in for 7pm. Upon arriving at this particular Restaurant there was a fuss at the door, but they finally let us in, only to realize 3/4 of the place was empty and when we left the Restaurant it was still almost empty. We were not very happy. That same day, with some people we met, ,we found out that people booked their Restaurant Reservations at the same time as their trip booking, which we were never told.!!! This is NOT a 5 Star Resort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Caribe Deluxe Princess: No snow in Punta Cana

Good walkable beach but a bit too wavy to make use of watersports. I emailed a room request in advance of my arrival and although they responded electronically they totally ignored my request. A/C was not the greatest. Most of the time it was 24 C in our room. It did drop to 23.5 once. Had it checked and they said it was perfect! Had the VIP which includes free room service and due to the fact that we had 3 rainy days (February 2017) we had some meals delivered :) You can dine in a la cart [... read more]es every night and can book every meal at once in the lobby (you need insect repellant in the lobby). Favourites were Mexican and Asian. We did not try Dominican on the advice of people we met. The Brazilian was just a lot of tasteless meat. VIP also gave us a meal in the seafood restaurant. We had lobster which was delicious and huge. Unfortunately my husband's was not fully cooked. Need to "reserve" your chair at the beach well before 9 am. VIP includes beach towels in your room and if you ask they will exchange them in the evening. We went to a couple of shows in the evening and they were better than we expected. Sunwing flight was delayed and Rep made no attempt to let us know that our hotel departure was changed. In hindsight, if I had data on my phone I would have received an email from Tripcentral at 7:45am. In summary, Punta Cana is a nice place to get away from winter and the resort was okay but I would probably try another resort in the future.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Awesome Resort!!!!

First thing, the Resort is spotless! The grounds are pristine! The rooms are spacious & clean. Buffett food is very good. Ala Carte food is even better! The beach is big & beautiful. The pools were clean & big. The staff were helpful & friendly. All in all my experience was extremely enjoyable and fun. I would not hesitate to recommend the Luxury Bahia Principe Amabar resort to anyone! Actually I already have! Great Resort!!!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Fabulous Vacation!

This is an awesome resort with everything you need for a great vacation. The beach is amazing! The restaurants and food are very good. The activities staff are energetic and we found all of the staff friendly and willing to help. There is always something to do. While there were little things that were inconsistent, we really have nothing bad to say about our stay at this resort. The grounds are clean and well maintained. Just watch out for the slippery walkways and floors.

Riu Republica: Beautiful Resort

It was a beautiful resort, everything was very clean, people were very friendly and worked very hard. Food was great. The beach was very nice. But I was surprised that there was not any life guards at the ocean. The ocean was very rough most of our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Be Live.....would not return......

Would not return....We just got back from Punta Cana.We were there 2 weeks and went shopping in San Juan. There were 6 thefts of cell phones at the hotel were were at..... apparently the person or persons managed to get into the room while the guests were sleeping. Another couple just got into their room, left there luggage and the phone upon arriving while they went to eat. Came back and phone was missing...... We don't plan to go back there for several reasons. And we upgraded to Master suite  [... read more]VIP. NICE ROOM IN FRONT OF A PRIVATE POOL. THAT WAS GREAT. However, there were lots of mosquitoes, poor service in dining room, food was just okay. Tough meat and cold hot dishes. Did not really like the specialty restaurants. This was a 4.5 star hotel. Staff was lovely, and people we met was one of the highlights. Jack and I enjoyed our time away from the snow, appts ect.... we are now enjoying good Canadian food. 💖💖💖💖

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Ambar - Green

Ambar Green was wonderful. Rooms were clean and the clean, pool side view. Entertainment was so much fun. All in all the staff was great could not do enough for you. The buffet at the Green was OK we preferred the buffet at the Ambar Blue which was much better. Would go back in a minute. Karen & Kevin Clifford

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Will grow to become an amazing resort

We spent 7 days at the Majestic Mirage in early February 2017. I will be thorough, but want to make plain that we had the time of our lives and think it will be a great resort in the future. The staff were almost all wonderful and went above and beyond. Our maid Concepcion was great. She always had a smile for us and did her job very well. Our butler Jacobs was direct and professional. Tried his best to accommodate anything we requested. Unfortunately he only sought us out twice, but did [... read more] set up our room on Valentines day. We believe he had a larger group to look after that week. We had the lovely Janette help us out at the jewellery store where we picked up a little something for Valentines. The room was beautiful at first glance, however once there for a bit little things started to pop up. It was MUSTY! And the ceiling in the second bathroom had mold on it. They had, had a scented candle going upon our arrival, but it gave me a headache so I wrote a note in spanish asking that they leave it snuffed. I should have left well enough alone. We needed to open the doors up every day to air it out, which led to mosquitos. Lol. (They loved me but not my hubby) There was a two person shower that we utilized every day. When one person used the one farthest from the door the water soaked through the rolled towel on the floor and spread about a foot into the bathroom area. When both were used with two towels rolled up against the door the water washed all the way to the sink. So the floor is VERY clean :) Our toilet wouldn't stop running on the third day and after texting our butler and not getting a response we contacted the concierge desk. They sent a man up right away. Later the same day we did run into our butler and we mentioned that the night before the air con had stopped working (every night we would awaken hot and I would have to manually turn it on, however this night when I tried it went to P03 and started blinking). I recorded it and it came in handy when the two repairman arrived to fix it. Lastly, it seemed as though the finishing touches were rushed and there was paint where there shouldn't be and grout missing in spots or splashed on areas it shouldn't be. AGAIN....these are tiny things that we noticed and then ignored. Overall we are not a high maintenance couple, but the odour, air and issues were a small disappointment. This was not a cheap trip for us. Having stated what was..... We still had a wonderful time. We will probably not return but its because we will try something new, not because of the issues. We would recommend this property to other travellers as the outdoor space, pools, restaurant and beach are all top notch! The steakhouse is great! The rooms will come. They are working hard every day to perfect it.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Walt Disney world of resorts!!

Challenging golf course and groomed well but manageable for any player. Rooms were impeccable and beds were comfortable. Restaurant choice was unparalleled. Casino was fun. Staff were friendly. Beach was super. We might never go anywhere else. Highly recommended.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Will never go back

Nice beach and friendly people. Good entertainment. Bad management. Bars were running out of drinks. Only two drinks served in an all inclusive resort. Very poor quality of the drinks. There was a day with no beer in the whole resort. Main restaurant was always running out of plates. Different treatment of regular and VIP tourist. Constantly pushed to upgrade. I would not return to this resort and will not recommend it to any of my friends.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great adults only resort!

I think this resort is great. We stayed in the adults only section. It was the closest one to the beach. I'd recommend this resort to other couples as we went with another couple and guest services were quick to accommodate and plan for us to be right across from one another.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Terrible Service

This property looks good from the outside, well maintained. Our TV didn't work, we called every day to get it fixed but all we got was empty promises and useless apologies. It was raining for 3 days so TV was almost like an essential service which was never delivered. One thing that we liked was the food and drink selection. Service is very bad for a 5-star hotel. We travel 4-5 times a year and service in this hotel was one of the worst ever! I would never go back to Paradisus Punta Cana
