Ancora Private Residence Yacht Club and Marina: Loved this resort!

We were pleasantly surprised at this resort although upon arriving the Lobby area was very tired looking and needed some updating, but friendly staff for check-in. When we got into our room, although it wasn't ready for a half hour after arrival, we were both taken back with the modern look and cleanliness of our 1 bedroom suite!!! V. large bedroom and bathroom, dinette and a walk out from both the family room and the bedroom to a l [... read more]arge patio, fully furnished as well with outdoor couches and chairs. We were on the ground floor close to the main pool, so that was a bonus. Room 2031, the perfect spot for us! The grounds were quite big so we enjoyed walking around, also we were able to walk to or get a shuttle to the other sister resort Tiara Cap Cana also a Alsol resort! The Tiara was beautiful in its very modern design, and elegance, quite something to see, especially at night! We had tried to book there but it turned out we really liked the Luxury village especially the Buffet, which was amazing, a great selection of fruits and vegetables and bean dishes which because I like a Vegan Menu, was perfect for me!! We also loved the Italian restaurant at Luxury village, and the grill for lunch was convenient! We didn't find the food at the Tiara quite as good although we enjoyed the Japanese Tables. So it was nice to be able to travel from one resort to the other for a change in the day! Also the marina was nice to go down to see the yachts and boats docked and just the prettiness of the water area, lots of cobble stone walkways, almost like a European village feel, but definitely ladies you need comfy shoes for these! The beach at the Tiara is not very big at all, but at least a very small one, and The Luxury Village has no beach, but we loved the pool areas, and although we usually go to all adult, it was nice to see so many young families and babies around! The is a beach a short bus ride away but we are not in to going off to a beach off the resort, we just want to relax, so overall a great experience!!

Occidental Caribe: Great last minute getaway to Punta Cana

The 7-day aĺl inclusive stay at this resort was exactly what we were looking for and our agent perfectly arranged it all. The room was simple, clean and comfortable. The food at the buffet is much the same everyday and somewhat bland as not many seasonings are used but condiments are readily available to jazz it up a bit. The wait staff were fantastic as they met our needs and wants in every way. The à-la-carte restaurants offered good specialty menus and impeccable service. We never felt r [... read more]ushed nor neglected. Although it states formal/casual collared shirt, long pants and closed shoe for men at the à-la-cartes, the staff does not enforce it. The beach is clean; one of the nicest and safest we've ever been to. A few vendors (maybe 3 over the course of 7 days) did come up to us on the beach trying to sell their wares, but they moved on when we politely said 'no gracias'. Never once had a problem getting lounge chairs at the beach. Different story for the pool loungers though - they are taken up very early with towels or other items to claim them and often times are not in use. The check-in and check-out process went smoothly. My spouse was ill when we arrived at the resort around the noon hour. I approached reception and explained our situation. The young gentleman checked us in, made a few calls and had a concierge bring us and our luggage up to our suite immediately. No issues whatsoever. There is no free WiFi anywhere on this resort. We opted to have it during our stay, however, it is very expensive and not very reliable. Smoking is permitted EVERYWHERE on this resort. Unfortunately, due to health issues and allergies, we were very limited or not able to experience much of the nightly entertainment in the theatre, seldom enjoyed sharing beverages at the bars nor sitting in the lounge areas without being overwhelmed with cigarette and cigar smoke. The worse was at the Casino so we only attended there once for a maximum of 5 minutes. Sadly, we would could not return to this resort unless they can accommodate both smokers and non-smokers by restricting smoking to designated areas only like many other resorts in the Caribbean. Other than the smoking issues, we incredibly enjoyed our vacation and we are extremely thankful to our Trip Central Rep, Kevin Dupuis for recommending this resort and arranging everything for us in such short notice. Yes, we will call Kevin again when the travel bug hits.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Awesome resort!

Check in was quick, grounds immaculate, staff extremely friendly and professional, rooms excellent, beach and pool areas clean and well attended. Overall a very clean and enjoyable vacation location. Have to be very careful about the "a al carte" venues. Meal times at the venues were extremely late in the evening.

TRS Turquesa: Awesome Resort!

This was our 3rd visit and it was just as wonderful as the first! The beach, staff and food were all that we expected and more. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a nice laid back place with a large selection of restaurants and awesome service.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Nice resort

Friendly staff, clean but a bit too large. Almost impossible to book restaurants. Majority of staff do not speak english. Cleaning staff brought items missing if you left a note.pool bar staff good. Food excellent. Never had dry towel supply at pool. We stayed at Ambar green but ate at Ambar blue, much better buffet. Entertainment not great.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Very clean resort

Beautiful beach Wish there had been a coffee maker in room and an iron Dancing shows great Friendly staff Food was just OK Casino tiny tiny with 5 slot machines, would not recommend that Great for families

Secrets Cap Cana: Beautiful Resort

This is a beautiful adult only facility. The rooms are well appointed. The rooms, common areas and grounds are all kept very clean. The food in the restaurants was fantastic! One thing that stood out was the friendliness of all of the staff, regardless of their role.

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: Exceptional resort....the reserve

I have travelled to many locations in the Caribbean....but nothing compares to this resort. The rooms, gardens dining is truly worthy of this resorts five star rating. The staff that we had the pleasure of meeting made this holiday an unforgettable experience. I assure you I will not be going anywhere else but here in the future. I appreciate the knowledgeable staff at trip central recommending this location. It was spectacular

Occidental Punta Cana: One of my best vacations ever!

I loved the hotel. I was travelling alone and felt very safe there. Staff was cordial and polite. Grounds were clean despite the work that was going on. The beach was really clean and beautifully maintained. The food was excellent, the best I have eaten in Dominican Republic. I immensely enjoyed my stay.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Great value

Great for families Beautiful grounds Great food, a la carts especially Beach was beautiful and the pool too. My only complaint is that the bar closes at 2am Other than that room service was inclusive and awesome

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Fantastic!

Everything was just wonderful - the food, the staff, the amenities, the friends we met. Was just lovely! Going back next year. Can't wait. Only thing I can complain about is having to go home :-(((

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Luxury is the smart way to go

This was the second time in the last 4 months that we stayed at this resort (Blue first, then Green) with five other couples. We enjoyed being able to walk in the morning though the magnificient grounds and walkways. The beach was nice most of the time, and the pools were well maintained. The food was great, and service was most of the time very efficient, sometimes not too friendly. We had a great time and will probably come back in the coming years.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Paradise on Earth!

I have nothing but great things to say about this resort! The grounds were beautifully maintained. The food was spectacular. Always something new to try and i always loved whatever i tried! I was most amazed at how professional and friendly the staff at Bahia Green was. Pools were clean. Rooms as well. 😉 Hats off to the entertainment (animation) crew. Rainer and Hose You two guys were #1

Occidental Punta Cana: Resort was very nice , beach was beautiful, grounds were clean.

Hotel was very nice, kept clean, beach was beautiful and clean. Housekeeping was not so good, was not given clean towels, they re-folded the dirty towels. Food was not very good at buffett, not much of a variety. Staff were not so friendly, everytime we asked for something they did not bring it to us. Upon arrival the hotel said they did not have accomodation for us and wanted to send us to another resort. I asked staff to check air conditioner in my room as it was not working, and the [... read more]y again asked me if i would like to go to another resort. I would not re-visit this resort .

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: verry nice resort

Food good and service great, lots to do. Lots of swimming and activities going on all day. Kids was always kept busy. Staff very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Could use a few benches on walkways so if got tired walking you could sit down and take a break.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: 2nd time Ambar Blue

Beautiful hotel/ lobby/rooms/beach/staff/pool...have been 4 times to this complex...different areas but 2nd time to Ambar Blue- will be back again- have travelled to Punta Cana 15 times and this is probably our favourite spot

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Amazing Resort

Despite my husband's injury pre holiday, we still had an amazing time. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were very comfortable and the food was incredible. I especially enjoyed the grounds which featured water ponds with its own little eco system. The resort itself was beautiful and very well maintained. I would love to visit again. The only disappointment was not being reimbursed for a cancelled excursion. I understand that they have 15 days to effect reimbursement.

Blau Natura Park Resort: Great Vacation!!

We stayed 11 nights and loved this resort.food was great,staff friendly and beach was amazing with lots of shade,only complaint is that the vendors on the beach are very aggressive .we would return to this resort without hesitation Thanks to Oneal Graham at Trip central for helping us book this vacation

Riu Republica: A great resort

Has we been traveling the whole day and very tired we were well greeted at he resort with a nice fruity drink. As we arrived to our room I was disappointed to see two small beds and no view. So we went to the front desk to request a better room and was amazed that they accommodated us with a better room and everybody was happy. Restaurant were great no reservation needed that was great. Weather was amazing so that made a wonderful vacation again at a Riu. Thank You

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Great Vacation for a family!

Great location! One of my big worries on an all inclusive (other than hoping to get good weather) is "Will it be too crowded?" Our trip was Feb 5 - 12, and there was ZERO overcrowding! No trouble getting a spot around the pool or at the beach any time of day. Food was both good and bad: Breakfast - Terrific buffet! Lunch - Decent quality and variety but ONLY buffet options - would be nice to have some a la carte lunches. Dinner - All fantastic.
