resort: ambar blue adults only was very nice, rooms are comfortable and keep nice, corner rooms where more spacious and balcony open on main floor was nice food: al a carts were good, both French were good, same menu at both, little disappointed but good, pool: excellent, swim up bar great beach: close and clean with lots of huts and lounge chairs

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great time!

We had an amazing time at this resort. I could not say anything bad about it. It was well maintained and the staff was great and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this resort to everyone. I would also love to come back!

Occidental Caribe: Very nice resort

The hotel was a little dated. It needs some on going repair which would be more preventative. The front desk people pretend they don't know english until you wiggle american money around. We waited from 1:00 to past 4:00 for our room. They gave us an upgrade because of the screw up, but it shouldnt have happened in the first place in my mind. Other then the sign in nightmare we did have a great time !!! The gift shop was a complete scam. They had things marked up 3 - 4x (in usd) what w [... read more]e could buy them for at home. The excursions too were extremely expensive. So, just make sure you bring lots of money :)

Alsol Del Mar: Peaceful and Tranquil Resort

The view from our hotel room was spectacular. The grounds were immaculate. The staff were friendly and polite. This was a very relaxing and quiet holiday. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Nice Clean Resort

I appreciated the beauty of the grounds, they were always clean and well kept. The food at the restaurants was OK, lots of choices. Our rooms were well kept and clean also, I would have liked for our maids to speak a little English, we had 3 different ones who just nodded their head even if we said Good Morning to them. The entertainment was better than at most resorts but it was very hard to enjoy when the dancers and singers seemed to be screaming all the time into the microphone. On the whole [... read more] I had a good time and enjoyed my vacation. I would like to report a damage claim to my luggage that happened on the day we were checking out. I called to have my luggage picked up from my room and held until the bus came to take the group I was with to the airport. My suitcase was in perfect condition when the bell boy picked it up at my room. When the bus come my suitcase (noticeably would not stand up, it kept falling over) was loaded on the bus with the other bags for my group. The bus driver unloaded my bag and the airport porter took it to the check-in line for me. It was when I tried to pull it to the counter that I noticed the handle on the bottom of my suitcase had 3 of the 4 rivets pulled out and the piece was trailing underneath my suitcase. I had to ask the Air Transat Ticket Agent at the Counter to tape it to my suitcase for the trip home as I didn't want it to be totally ripped off. This piece of luggage has only been used 3 times and I would like to be compensated for it. I have taken pictures and can send them to you if required.

Occidental Caribe: Beach and Pool awesome

The beaches and pool awesome. Grounds were good but now comes the bad the food always cold and undercooked. Drinks watered down probably to around me 10 percent I wish we would have brought a hydrometer to test just out of curiosity. The staff not so good as I'm not a 20 year old woman with nice breasts. All the woman staff were professional

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Amazing resort!

Great food! Awesome atmosphere, great service, friendly staff. Very clean. Beach was beautiful. Lots going on- volleyball, dance lessons. Great music, and different music at each pool. Would love to go back!

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Great Resort, minor issues

The grounds and room are gorgeous, food and selection was great. Good entertainment from what I saw (we have a 4 year old so we would head to the room by 9). The beach was excellent ... 5 minute walk or wait a couple minutes for a trolly ride. The beach was busy, the pool and both water parks werent. No issues with towels or getting lounge chairs. The issues we had ... The a la cartes only had availabilty to be booked for after 8:30 (on day 2 of the trip) ... Pretty silly for a family resort. O [... read more]ur wifi would work for a day, then not the next ... The other 2 families we were with had no issues. Our A/C was mediocre (again no issues in the other 2 rooms). Our bath tub drain wouldnt hold water and jets kept popping out. We werent that concerned so we didnt call the lobby about it. Finally, there is nowhere early in the morning for coffee. Im up at 5am and from 10pm to 7am that place shuts down. All in all, still a wonderful resort just not quite a 5 star

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Wonderful holiday

Room was clean, service and staff great. The beach and beach facilities were totally terrific holiday. The food at the buffet was delicious, but the al a cart disappointment. The weather was evan cooperative. Only down spot was the sales staff for excursions a tad pushing

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awesome

We had a great time. The staff from guest service to housekeeping were friendly and helpful. The food was good. We especially enjoyed the BBQ a la carte...steak was soooo good. The grounds were immaculate. We will definitely return.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Fantastic Vacation from start to finish!

My wife and I just returned from 6 days at The Majestic Colonial in the Colonial Club (adults only portion) celebrating her 40th Birthday. We had a gorgeous ocean front room that was kept so nicely by housekeeping staff. The grounds of this resort are meticulously kept by the friendly staff. Every morning we watched as sidewalks were swept of sand, beach lounges scrubbed and washed, pool areas cleaned and you'll not find cleaner swimming pools. The restaurants were all quite good (Japanese w [... read more]as our favouite/French was our least favourite) and the buffet's for breakfast, lunch and dinner were all great. The only suggestion to improve on those would be better warming elements under the serving trays (i.e. scrambled eggs) to keep the food warmer. You can guarantee warm if you line up and get your omelette or eggs cooked to your liking but the stuff on buffet should be kept warmer for enjoyment. The beach was fantastic and I can't say enough about the staff in particular our Butler Reinaldo who was there whenever we needed him and always come through on requests of him. We would go back to Majestic Colonial in a heartbeat!

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: The best resort ever!

The resort property is exceptionally clean and well landscaped and the hotel suites are very large and modern with all the amenities of a 6 star hotel that you would find in North America. There are dozens of restaurants offering a variety of mouthwatering menus located throughout the resort within a short walking distance or you can take one of several shuttles available to whisk you anywhere you want to go including to the magnificent white sand beach located at the other end of the resort. Th [... read more]ere are plenty of daily activities that you can participate in or you can just lazily read a book or swim in the many large pools. The staff are exceptional and really get to know you and cater to your every need. All inclusive... all the food and drinks are included, which is the best part of the trip! Sun and fun all the time and never too hot! This resort is a fun place that caters to all ages including young kids that have their own kids activity centre and pool. This is my third time to the Dominican Republic and my second straight time to the Reserve. I look forward to coming back next year to the Reserve without hesitation!

Blau Natura Park Resort: Fantastic stay

Great resort, good food, nice drinks, amazing beach.This was my second stay at this resort and both times I enjoyed greatly.This resort provides fun for all age groups as well as many extra activities are available with the vendors around.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: wonderful resort !!

This resort was smaller than we usually go to but loved it because everything was close. There was never big line ups. Not a problem getting a lounge chair.The beach was amazing at this resort. Pool was a little smaller than I like and I missed having a swim up bar but the beach made up for it .

Riu Republica: Would l go back ?

The resort is ok to be honest. I guess my biggest complaint is the music at the pool. I love to party and have fun, but when the speaker YES One speaker is being blasted to the point of distortion and you can't hear what your conversations are with friends. This is no FUN also the entertainment group need to learn how to speak into a microphone. The shows at night also need to be better very boring. Having the same band every night on stage before the show starts gets old fast. THEY need to implement the pool rules, eating in the pool, smoking and flicking the ashes in the pool, spilling drinks, vomiting in the pool, ALL VERY POORLY MANAGED ☹️ The pool workers especially ( Rafael) great pool guy, the bar guys are money hungry if you don't spot the 5 Or 10 bucks they will serve you last very rude when you stand they and they ignore you so beware. WOULD I GO BACK PROBABLY NOT. I have been to other Rui chains far better certainly NOT a 5 Star Resort.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Great resort. Had a wonderful time.

Grounds and pools are wonderful. The food was great at both the restaurants and the buffet. The staff were just wonderful and very helpful. The rooms were clean but the bathrooms could use a facelift. Could also use luggage racks in the rooms. Would definitely go back.

The Level at Melia Caribe: Resort was nice, service was average

We stayed at The Level, adults only area. Hotel was nice, very large. Food was good - the Thai, Steak House and Japanese were our favourites. We were disappointment with the overall service (it was average) and golf. The VIP lounge couldn't get a hold of the golf course to book our tee time the first day we arrived. Our package included unlimited golf, we just needed to pay the mandatory golf cart fee. At $70 USD PER PERSON, per round, we thought the cost was ridiculous. Also unreasonable given  [... read more]the golf course was average. We ended up playing the course only once and spent our money elsewhere, played at other courses, for the rest of our stay.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: JUST AWESOME

This resort although brand new does have some problems but the staff are real quick to get the problems ironed out. My husband and I stayed at this resort from Jan 11-18, 2017 We had a great time although the weather was really lousy. We had the adult suite, highly recommended. Hot tub on the balcony. We h [... read more]ad two sliding doors one off the bedroom and then the sitting room. Two bathrooms. One shower but there were two showers. Both a rain shower and hand held one. They both did not work all the time but again one of the little problems. We had maintenance up to our room because the air conditioning started making a horrid noise. Maintenance was there in like 5 minutes. Eddy was great. The housekeeping staff were excellent, the people who filled your fig, replaced towels....my goodness there were so many people in and out and everyone having a different job. Kind of hard to keep track of them all for tipping. The restaurants were very nice again a few problems/ Francesca is the Food Manager. She does a really fabulous job. Patricia is the Manager of the resort. She will try to fix any problem that you have. All in all I think in a few years that this resort will be one of the best got to go to. I say a few years only because the vegetation is really young yet. If the young vegetation does not bother you, this resort is great. The pool was still filling up when we were there but it was full by the time we left. Lots of bars to quench your thirst and the wait staff were really pretty great. I give this resort a 4.5 out of 5

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Beautiful beaches!

My mom and I really enjoyed this resort, a little too big for our needs but quite impressive grounds and rooms were lovely. We also really liked the food and buffets. The beaches immaculate! Also, we went to the spa, which was a great experience. We came back feeling very refreshed!

Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana was recommended to me from a friend. I am so glad I went with her suggestion. The resort is amazing. Very clean, the food is awesome, people are so friendly. I will definitely be going back there for another stay!
