Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Nice staff

Originally went to this resort to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We got married at this resort 10 years ago. The staff is very nice and friendly the food wasnt too good. The concierge is nice but very harassing when it comes to sales for membership. The pool music was good. The entertainment was ok. The party vibe is pretty slow there. Most likely will try a different resort for our next trip to Jamaica.

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Large but lovely resort

This was my first experience in an Iberostar resort and I was throughly impressed. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. The rooms are clean with lots of space. Hot water, ice cold air conditioning and comfy beds. The beach and the pool are amazing. I can’t comment on the entertainment as I was too pooped to party after spending the day in the sun by the pool or on the beach. Although the food was much tastier than my other Cuban visits, I found the selection were lacking. The bu [... read more]ffet never varied through the entire week. It got quite boring. Even though it is low season we had difficulty getting into an a la carte. We had a reservation for 8 pm and when we arrived they had run out of the meats. Not everyone can eat fish so we had to leave and go to the buffet. Very disappointing but we do understand the difficulties Cuba is facing right now. We can’t wait to return regardless of the shortages.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Wonderful Resort

My stay at Iberostar Daiquiri was wonderful. The grounds are clean and well kept. The pools are crystal clear with lots of space and plenty of loungers around. The lobby is great, with a TV so i could watch my Sunday Football. Beach is Beautiful, there is a great pier to go snorkeling from with lots of different fish to see. Best part of my stay though, was the super friendly and welcoming staff. They made me feel at home. Cant wait to go back

Iberostar Coral Ensenachos: Great resort

The hotel is maintained exceptionally well. Especially the grounds, the beach and the rooms. All the hotel staffers courteous and helpful at all times. Willing to do any extra service to make the stay enjoyable. The food is acceptable based on the current situation of the country

Iberostar Waves Tucan: 4th time at Tucan, I will always return here!

This resort never fails to amaze me. From the friendly and helpful staff , the cleanliness, the wildlife constantly about, the a la cartes ( superior quality), buffet variety. ..all outstanding! Alcohol service does not shirk on the drinks prep, the breathtaking landscapes and scenery . Miss it already.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Cannot say a bad thing about this resorts.

Dinning was everything and more than we expected. We upgraded our room and were very nice. Grounds were very well kept no matter where you were on the grounds. The only thing that our party wasn’t crazy about is the size of this place. If you don’t mind walking, this is certainly the place for you. Other than that, we would rate the Iberostar Maya a very strong 4 1/2..

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Mother/Daughter Vacay

This resort was Amazing! Everything was clean and well maintained and compact. Staff were awesome! Big beautiful pool, with lots of loungers.You do not have to get up early to save a chair. Food was excellent. The Mexican and Japanese restaurants are a must try. Great beach with lots of loungers. My room was spacious and very clean and had everything you could need. Very modern. The Spa was lovely. Will definitely return. FYI:SMOKER FRIENDLY

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Lovely Resort

Very enjoyable stay. Good food. Lots of lounge chairs. Very friendly staff. My only complaint was that on the last day check out was at noon and the flight home was not until 10:00 pm. I will not book a package with that departure time ever again.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful Beach and nice pools!

It was our second time at Iberostar Ensenachos and we enjoyed the warm water with a very nice turqoise coulour. We had the lunch almost every day on Megano beach, and they served tasty pasta, fish, oven pizza, and fresh mango. Bring some protection for mosquitos, especially in the evening.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Terrible

This is in no way even a two star resort. Room service did not answer phone. Did not fog for mosquitoes so impossible to enjoy anything. You could not leave room at night. Buffett had more flies than dead cow carcass.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: You get what you pay for

The grounds are immaculate; Playa Pilar is fantastic and by far one of the nicest beaches we have been to; it’s a four minute ride from the hotel. The beach at the hotel is decent and once you are past the coral it is clear, beautiful and shallow. Service was impeccable. Food options are at the lower end of the scale however we were prepared for this and the beds could have been a little more comfortable. Our room was cleaned daily and towels were replaced daily unlike North American hotels

The resort was amazing. It was beautiful and clean. The entertainment was wonderful. We found a great variety of food between the buffet and the other restaurants.The lobster dinner was delicious. We had some challenges to find our favourite drinks like margaritas. While the resort experience was great, our flight timing and experience was awful. We lost the whole first day as we arrived in the resort around 11pm. The return departure was so late that by the time we got home, it was around [... read more] 5am. So we lost the whole next day due to exhaustion. Also our SUNWING rep, was not very responsive when we reached out to her prior to our trip.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Best Staff Ever!!

The Iberostar Quetzal is a beautiful family resort. The food is amazing, lot of options from vegetarian to meat lover, from kids to adults. Any cocktail you ask for they make it. Beach is amazing, hug pools and jacuzzi. Parties at the beach were incredible. And the best was the staff. Staff was the one exceeded our expectations. There is Chef Alejandra who was table by table asking and taking suggestions from guests. She listen and offers diets accommodation. She gives the best welcome that make [... read more]s you feel at home. We received a free pass for the three of us to Iberostar Cozumel, unfortunately, it was as great as Quetzal.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Everything was *okay* 3/5

View 10/10: Beautiful resort, beautiful beach, beautiful pool. It honestly captivates you. Food 4/10: Very bland. No spices. No ketchup, no potatoes, no milk. etc. They have a shortage of practically everything. However, the cooked chicken/beef was good, some soups were good, and the bread was great. Cleanliness 4/10: The rooms were not clean. My throat hurt me every time I went to sleep, including my familys'. Definitely not a 5-star hotel. They could do much better to bring it up to 5.

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Beautiful Resort

Easy to get to all amenities. Things all vey close together. I do wish there were more choices than just the sports bar to eat for when you are arriving late in the evening. Wish they had more beach huts along with more beach chairs, found that it was always full in the morning. Not much to do in the area as still developing. Only other tip is that if you are coming in on a late flight, prepare to be eaten by mosquitoes at the airport. Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: disappointed

I was traveling with my daughter and her 3 year old son. This was my 7th time at this hotel. The first rooms we got were in buidlings 21, my daughters room was ok but phone didn't work and no water. My room had a stained bedspread, dirty glass table top, no toilet paper. Moved us to 2 other rooms in building 25. My room was ready and was good. My daughter and grandsons room was not ready and we went back to pick up keys at 5:00. When we got to her room there was No bedding, all the small furn [... read more]iture had been pushed into the bathroom, and the fridge was pulled apart. Never did they offer to drive us to any of these rooms. I called the front desk and told them the room was not good, They said they would give us two more rooms. I said can you send someone with the keys and take us to the new rooms. My daughter went to check out these rooms before we hauled all of our luggage there again.. These rooms we at the far end of the hotel, rooms 3623 & 3624 were better. All this back and forth made my arthritis flare up. I was in pain for 4days had a hard time sleeping. we found out that the building we were in only had 1 other person, there was no outside lighting. At night you could not see anything pitch black. - There is no hand soap in the bathrooms. - No hot water. - Rooms were not cleaned only came in to make beds and empty garbage can. - There is No toilet paper in common areas, or hand soap. - Twice a day without any warning they would use a truck to drive by whether you were walking or not and would spray a fogger of bug spray. We had to run for cover with my 3 year old grandson. - One day when leaving the kids pool a truck came flying around a blind spot and all most hit us.. I had to yell out at them. - Food was not good very limited. Drink very limited.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Service a big question

The hotel was advertised as 4.5 star. The service was not. First when I checked into the room, there were no towels at all except for a foot towel in front of the bath. I told the front desk and half an hour later when I was back in the room, they had placed bath towel in the room but no hand towel. The next morning I walked to the front desk and they very politely apologized and ensured me that it will be there. It was not by the afternoon, so I told them again and they very politely apologize [... read more]d and ensured it will be there shortly. It was not. I talked to the front desk the second day to no avail. Then on third day I asked straight for the manager, and he again apologized and ensured me. To no avail. On the second day I dropped some drinking water and I used the foot towel to clean up the mess and left the wet foot towel there and also informed the manager in my conversation that the foot towel has not been replaced and the mess is still there. Short story, they finally removed the wet foot towel on day 5 with no replacement so each time I wanted to get out of the showers, I had the likelihood of a fall. For the whole 7 days, I had no hand towel. Additionally, they never changed the bath towel during the 7 days. Easy to fix, but I do not understand why they did not.
