Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos: Family Vacation with a baby

First impression was wow, what a beautiful resort, last impression was WOW what an amazing experience to have stayed here with my family. We went as a family of 5, an 11 and 15 year old, parents plus a 9 month old baby. Coming from Canada I brought all jarred/pouch foods for the baby (didn't want to take my chances with getting a baby sick). Pool: The only swim-up bar is locate [... read more]d for the adult-only pool which is 18+, that same pool also has a DJ, activities and music all day long. The number 3 pool (kids/all age pool) which is right below, has the water volleyball net, it's large,very accommodating and it's a relief not to have the big pool parties and women in g-strings biquínis all around the kids and husband,this is very much a family resort. Shout out to Elizabeth at the #3 pool, who was beyond friendly and such a sweetheart, she made us feel at home, we loved her! Restaurants: It was beautifully refreshing to find out that we did not have to make reservations for the a'la cart restaurants, we always got in, had no issues with waiting at all, somehow every single restaurant at the hotel was ready to serve and ready with a table for us. Maybe because this is considered a luxury hotel not as many guests maybe attend I'm not too sure? But we got sat right away in all of the places we chose to go to. Most of the restaurants are at level seven and the elevators were always working to take us upstairs and down. Emiliano's is an a'la cart restaurant and you have got to try the steak filet mignon! CUPCAKE CAFE was a major hit with my kids, delicious cupcakes sweets and drinks and coffee made for you all day long into the night. Don Diego is the buffet and even though they have a theme night each night, it's pretty repetitive for breakfast, lunch and dinners by our 7th day we were pretty much sick of the foods, even though it was all delicious, just very repetitive. also if you're expecting to go there and eat Mexican food you have to leave the hotel, they cater to the gringos and it's hard to find traditional Mexican cuisine at the hotel besides the tacos and nachos. DRINKS: the bartenders and waiters do try to push you with a wine list which is the only thing you have to pay for at the hotel, my husband and I figured that all of the liquor has been watered down, 100% everything tastes very syrupy and not alcoholic at all by the end all of the drinks pretty much started to taste like water with a little hint of alcohol in it, we did not get a buzz a single day not for the lack of trying! heehee BEACH: White Sands and beautiful beaches but not swimmable at all the oceans waves are amazing to see but you're not allowed to even to put your foot in the water it's very rough for sure. STAFF: 0 COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE STAFF, EVERYONE FROM THE LOBBY TO THE CONCIERGE, TO THE WAITERS TO THE SERVERS, EVERYBODY WAS VERY WELCOMING, VERY CARING OF COURSE THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO RECEIVE A MUCH DESERVED TO TIP. Hotel views and location: the hotel is located right across from the marina which is also where the beautiful Dolphins reside along with restaurants and very close walkable distance to downtown. The panoramic views of the Marina and the beach from the above of the hotel is just divine and they do have a night shows every night but we missed all of the shows as we had a little baby with us we would just go to the room early. I also heard that the adult nightclub becomes really happening at night until 2 in the morning! Overall we very much recommend this hotel, enjoy!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Pure Pradise!

We feel we were picked up and placed in Paradise! We stayed at Paradiso Maya with access to the other 3 resorts. Besides some restaurants, our two boys were happy to stay at the Maya - there was so much to do there. All the staff are terrific no question. The bartenders at the main bar in the Maya are a hoot!! The place is spotless the food wonderful. Bland never came to mind with the food. We would definitely recommend the place and would return in the future.

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Good family resort

The Grand Marival was a good basic resort. The beach is beautiful and the waves were great. The waiters in the a la carte were very good. I would say the resort could improve the food quality and the drink consistency. The drinks were never the same and were often too sweet. There was also very slow service at the bars. The shows were really entertaining

NYX Hotel Cancun: Amazing resort, great service!!!

Master suite 532,beautiful ocean view, small hotel with great amenities,staff is amazing Eddy bar tender!!! Sebastian and Gustavo!!! Sport staff, Daniela reception!!! Staff from restaurant beach, All Breakfast team, Housekeeping, every and each person in this hotel make our vacation special. Thank you for great service!!! All of you delivered the Wow!!! Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Comfortable stay in the city

Nice hotel room and a good pool. Bus stop to the Hotel Zone is nearby. Big supermarket and crafts market are across the road. The air conditioning is the room was blowing very hard and could not be regulated.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Not Bad

The hotel itself is really nice surrounded by lush trees an gardens. We stayed at Grand Bahia Principe Tullum from July 9 to July 16, 2019. We landed at Cancun airport and the drive from the airport to the resort was about 1.5 hours. We were flying with Air Canada Rouge, the flight was good but the only thing I did not like was that there was no tv in the plane. Tal [... read more]king about the Resort, we really liked the resort, it is on a big property. We stayed at Tullum but could use the buffet, pool, bar, lobby of Grand Bahia Principe Coba as well. There is no way you can walk from Tullum to Coba Resort as its too far, the best way to go around was using their tram. The trams would come every 10 minutes. Being a vegetarian we were concerned about food but we survived. They had good vegetarian options but most of the food items were repetitive. So we relied heavily on potatoes, rice, nachos, pastas, pizzas, and salads. We stayed in villa 45, room 4125, the room is quite far from the pool. If you have younger kids I would recommend you get rooms closer to the pool. They have snack bar that is opened 24 hours a day, which we used a lot. Hatts off to the employees that work so hard anywhere from cleaning rooms, to waiters, cleaning lobbies and gardens.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Good Resort

The staff are wonderful and the grounds are lovely. The food is good but the specialty restaurants book up fast!!! There is plenty to do in the area for excursions so take advantage! This was my second time at the resort! They gym and spa are wonderful!!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Was old and got rooms far

We didnt like the tulum resort but did like coba. Tulum is older resort and snack bar was far. Our room was at the very end which we didnt like. The trollies were very busy if u wana go to ur room or different resort. I would not recommend to anyone. Our departure was in the morning. The front desk said that we can have breakfast at snack bar. The guy was rude early in the morning at 5.30am. We ended up having only toast that it. Since we had small kids. Melody Maker Cancun: Great experience!

The hotel was amazing, staff was super nice and helpful. Service was great, atmosphere was incredible. The room was gorgeous, my friends and I loved it! The only thing is the water in our room turned off s couple times for like and hour. But other than that we had a good time !

Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Amazing resort! Perfect for a family with young kids!

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The bell boys are great and very knowledgeable. After the first night we changed rooms as our room was facing the theatre which was very loud at night. The pools were awesome, the arcade was nice and cool and the restaurants were good. We will definitely go back again. My son is 6 and he preferred the regular pools than the pirate ship and my daughter of 2 enjoyed all of them. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Value!

Enjoyed the stay with this hotel. Great food and amazing people. I visited this resort every year in the last four years and I always want to go back again and again. 24 hour room service was great. You will never go hungry or thirsty.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Okay Vacation

The hotel was beautiful and clean. The only think was I was locked out for 2 day each for 2 hours because they didnt change the door lock! So annoying .Entertainment was good. Need more English workers.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Amazing resort!

Great staff, great venue, great beach. The restaurants choice is vast and the quality of food was great. We liked it so much we actually bought the very same package to our parents as a gift the week following up our trip. Thanks Angela!

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Excellent family resort

Excellent choice for holiday with our grand children. Their first experience with a Mexican vacation. This location is almost perfect, the beach is gorgeous and the hotel is a short walk to San Jose del Cabo. The pools were clean and inviting. Staff were excellent and made us feel welcome right away. All inclusive was a great idea to introduce the grand children to various culinary delights. No kidding, there were new foods in the buffet every day. We are accustomed to shortages in Cuba but t [... read more]hat never happened here. In front of the hotel,There are horse stables offering riding experiences for all levels of riders. Our grand children had their first horse rides and were very happy. The Swim with Dolphins area is a short drive from the Holiday Inn and was a fun morning for all. We do recommend the Holiday Inn for a family vacation in Mexico. This area is very safe compared to some other Mexican destinations.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Beautiful resort

The hotel was absolutely stunning. For my first all-inclusive experience I could not have asked for a better one. The staff were friendly and the grounds were gorgeous. The food was very good, and offered a large variety of options, and even if something wasn’t available, the staff would accommodate.

The main pool is shared between the lindo and the Maya resorts. This pool is massive, so there will never be a time where you feel cramped. Food was excellent from buffets as well as al a carte restaurants. Guests of the Paraiso Maya will find a slightly higher end available at the Maya buffets vs the Lindo buffet. Items such as lobster, crab legs, and various other seafood available.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Paradise !!!

This resort was absolutely beautiful, the grounds were extremely clean and very well looked after. The rooms were always clean and the room staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurants were amazing ! The food was delicious and plentiful .the beach was beautiful and the pools were sensational, our excursions were very organized , with helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable guides. We never worried about a thing and had a fantastic time!

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Perfect Dream Getaway!!

The hotel was amazing. The rooms were very clean and quite large. The bathroom is quite big and the soaker tub was so relaxing. Clara kept our rooms clean. The Italian restaurant was our number one choice for a la carte and the steakhouse was our second choice. We did not enjoy the Mexican restaurant. The kids club came in so handy for us as we have a 6yr old daughter and 21mth old son. It was the first time I left my son with a sitter and Gloria was very patient with my lil guy as he is a han [... read more]dful. Our 6 year old loved the activities and enjoyed going for lunch with the other kids. She especially loved the huge pool and both kids enjoyed the kids pool with the slides. Ulises our bell man is amazing he took very good care of us and made sure we got to our room safely and picked us up on time to take the taxi back to the airport. The Poseidon buffet is across from the beach and the seafood was really good but I especially enjoyed the fresh stir fry made for you. There was plenty entertainment for the kids and adults and the stores are quite nice. The staff at the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres resort is who made our vacation so amazing. They are all so polite and don’t ever pass you straight. They ensure to say Hola or Beunos Dias no matter who they are. We will definitely go back as we missed it the second we left!!! Can’t wait for our next vacation!

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Families are less welcome than couples

Overall the hotel was ok. The rooms are a little dated and the beach are leaves much to be desired. Guests are entitles to use snorkeling equipment for 1 hour per day free of charge however, equipment is rarely available. Beware the time share salespeople who are running rampant throughout the lobby. They start off by acting like they are giving you a brief overview and explanation of the hotel facilities, but this quickly tirns into an attempt to get you to attend a sales presentation. My  [... read more]advice is ask the receptionist for a map and head straight to your room. If you are travelling with kids beware, dining options are very limited. Children are not allowed to eat at the Italian restaurant or the Caribbean restaurant; the only available options are the buffet (which was good for breakfast and lunch but terrible for supper) and the Mexican restaurant. Having not been informed of this before booking our trip we argued with the restaurant manager who eventually allowed us to eat at the Caribbean restaurant. HOWEVER, we were only allowed to dine outside (we were the only table outside) with no AC, as children are too noisy according to the restaurant manager. I can assure you that there were numerous other restaurant patrons who were dining inside that were far noisier than our children. We began our meal in exile trying to make the best of it when we noticed numerous very large cockroaches running all around our table, needless to say we immediately requested to be moved inside, the waiter was kind enough to oblige as the restaurant manager had finished his shift. I would also like to mention that when I threatened to make a complaint the restaurant manager stated, in plain English, that he is willing to live with complaints from guests travelling with children, however would not be able to accept complaints from adult guests travelling with no children. In other words families with young children are second tier guests as far as this hotel is concerned.
