Bahia Principe Explore Coba: No bad surprises, lives up to expectations

This resort is large, which has some advantages. If you aren't interested in leaving the resort, there is a casino, a beach and several lovely pools to keep you busy. The little shuttle trains are fun and fast. Very clean resort (even public restrooms!) and the people who work here are so polite and work so hard. I was surprised that so few people tip for the excellent service they receive. If you can't part with a dollar, please at least show sincere appreciation. Nice to see families enjoying the music and dancing with their children. A great resort for the reasonable price.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: What a paradise!!!!

My daughter and myself just spent a week at the Barcelo Maya Colonial resort in Riviera Maya. This being my6th visit to same area of Mexico I would say by far the nicest resort I have experienced. The place was immaculate, the staff were helpful on any issue we came with. Anything we requested came promptly with a smile. The staff were at all times profession and although we were placed on ground level with patio doors, which I was nervous about, never did I feel unsafe there. There was so much to see and do there we never left the resort. It was also nice to see so many families and children vacationing together in large groups with so much available to keep the young ones busy. It was quiet at night but activities available for those who enjoy the night life. I would recommend this resort to any family and friend of mine.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great splash pool

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite which was great. It was cleaned well everyday. The food was good & plentiful, the staff were really friendly & attentive. The splash pool for the kids was great, they loved it. The only negative was the kids club. They had arranged activities but no toys so my kids went to get their face painted and had to sit for an hour for their turn. ( I had to stay as the kids have to be over 4)They should really have toys to amuse the kids. They went to another activity which [... read more] was arts & crafts. They just spent 15 mins doing that and then they just put on the tv for them which was disappointing. The hotel is only 20 mins from the airport so the location is great. We would go again mainly for the splash pool as it had numerous slides to keep the kids entertained.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: New

Being new the buildings are beautiful and clean . All the trees are newly planted and in a few years the grounds will be beautiful as well. Lots to eat at buffet of course ( repetitive, as usual) Pools were large with swim up bars. Nice water slides for the smaller kids and entertainment staff were always fun . A strong 4 star

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Not your usual all inclusive

We have been to many all inclusives and this one is unique. You actually get 4 resorts in one when you choose the adults-only Sian Ka'an. Sleeping at the hotel is wonderful. The only noise is the sound of birds. The beds are really comfortable and with the penthouse suites you have a butler that will set up the rooftop hot tub with bubbles and roses, aromatherapy in your room, and make dinner reservations for you. It is truly a wonderful experience and a must if you need to unwind. T [... read more]he private beach has wonderful service and it is an easy walk to Tulum and Akamal resorts for breakfast or lunch. We spent most days at the beach and took the tram back to the resort for a couple of hours at the pool. The tram was always quick and honestly we met and chatted with a lot of nice people on it. We really enjoyed the resort and will be back next year.

Amazing grounds .... fabulous staff....A1 entertainment crew and top notch staff; first class food selections in numerous restaurants; wonderful spa at reasonable rates ... look for Gina and get her deal of the day :)

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Would recommend

I have had some very disappointing destination vacations and some exceptional experiences. The Azul was one of those rated as exceptional. The resort was very well maintained, the food was first rate and the drinks were perfect. The employees appeared happy in their jobs and very helpful. That is Hugh for me as a happy employee will go out of their way to assist you. I did not travel with small children but I was most impressed with what they offered young families. This resort is huge. ..alot if walking but we liked that .....excellent staff cant say enough about them...pools are great beach is wonderful....great food. .. thanks again to trip central and of course Karol Chareza he is an amazing rep.....does is job very well ....looking forward to next year's adventure. ..I will be calling you Karol 😊

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Beautiful

We had an amazing time at Blue Bay the staff was fantastic, very helpful, friendly could answer any questions. It was clean. the grounds were beautiful. Very accessible, to all the restaurant's and shops. The entertainment was excellent a lot to do and see. I would recommend the resort to any of my family or friend's. I would also return to Blue Bay and the Rivera Maya.

Grand Sunset Princess: Amazing resort!

We were completely satisfied with absolutely everything at this resort from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The Sunwing representatives were very helpful when we arrived at the resort and during our stay. The food was excellent whether it was the sports bar, the buffets or the a la carte restaurants. Service from the servers was also excellent. There is really nothing we could say negative about the resort and would not hesitate recommending it to others or going back ourselves.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Beautiful Resort

We just got back from a week at the Valentin Imperial Maya. What a resort!!! It was absolutely stunning. The food, drinks, staff, environment was amazing! Would go back in a heart beat. Would like to thank O'Neil Graham from trip central who helped us pick this resort.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Beautiful Resort!

The hotel grounds were pristinly kept and very clean. Beautiful gardens and beach front. The food was mediocre to good but nothing spectacular in my opinion. Staff was very friendly and overall one of the nicest resorts I have been to.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: 3rd TIME STILL A CHARM

Our Del Mar return visit was just as enjoyable as previous visits. Food was great, ALL the guest services staff were friendly, helpful and had great sense of humor. Lionel and Roger, the pool bar hosts were great fun keeping up to many demanding requirements all served with a smile and a joke ! Lots of fun playing the pool games and the preshow antics games. Room was clean and well stocked, only a small issue, that was corrected promptly when requested. Beach area was always well kept on the b [... read more]oard walk. The sea weed on the beach was overwhelming at times, mother nature was not friendly. The beach crew worked endlessly to try and keep up with it. Will plan to go back again. ! Platinum Yucatan Princess: Very luxurious resort

We enjoyed our stay at this resort very much. It felt very luxurious. It was very clean. The food was excellent. The staff was very courteous and helpful. My only complaint would be the distance we had to walk to the beach and the condition/cleanliness of the beach/shore. It was a great trip.

We loved the resort from an architectural view; it was so new, a Spanish design in a contemporary way, and this resort was well thought out. Our individual room was gorgeous and each restaurant was a quite unusual surprise each night. The pool was spotless and the walk to the beach was a delight. Our choice to visit 2 Mexican locations was adventurous and learning. May we ask for different varied food perhaps some turkey and beef. Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Wow!

We stayed at the Valentin Imperial Maya in January 2017 to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Wow! What a beautiful resort. Every aspect of the trip was fantastic. The setting is very Hawaii like with lush vegetation and a very jungle like feel. It's a huge resort that spreads over a very large area.The beach is great with lots of room to spread out and no rush to reserve chairs. The ocean was very swimmable and there was no typical drop-off just off shore.Staff was super friendly and attentive and [... read more] always went out of their way to make sure all was 100%. Lastly the food was A+ as well. The al a carte choices were very authentic to their theme and extremely delicious. No reservations or waiting at any of the restaurants.We stayed three nights at a swim up room (a bit noisy around the pool with partiers) and 4 nights ocean front (out the patio door right to the ocean!). Lastly as one of the first drop offs after the Cancun airport the bus ride is super short there and back.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Recent Stay

Small resort... reasonably well maintained. Process to reserve at 'a la cartes' was strange... most people aren't looking to have to stand in line each and every day they want to make a reservation. That being said, access to the restaurants didn't seem to be a problem despite very few seatings being available and the food was very good... 'blackened filet' at the Steakhouse was awesome! Pools were COLD with the exception of the pool in the area dedicated to the kids. Grand Sunset Princess: Average at best

while this resort a few years ago may have deserved a 4 star rating now it is in need of some TLC. Tiles were missing off the pools and a lot of people were getting cuts on their feet. Food at the buffets was average at best but the restaurants were mostly good. The beach was full of seaweed and garbage and swimming difficult unless you wore water shoes. Not a good choice for someone who wants to swim in the ocean.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great vacation

Excellent cuisine, by far the best food you'll eat. The resort is very large, so you'll do a lot of walking as we did. Which isn't so bad because you'll eat a lot here. We actually lost weight! Haha. The beach is beautiful but is on the other side of the highway, so u take a trolley which is only a ten minute ride.not a big deal. The events team is awesome, they work long hours and do a great job. The rooms are small in my opinion, but really how much time do u spend in your room. They prefer [... read more] American dollars. I was reading reviews and read they prefer Canadian currency-not true. Bring water shoes, snorkelling gear, a floatie for the ocean and walking shoes for excursions for sure. El Dorado Seaside Suites: Would not recommend

This resort was over valued and misrepresented by the travel agent. New - yes. Ready for tourists - not really. The Beach was a disappointment. Narrow, very rough, near impossible to walk in bare feet. Men all day in the water with chopper cutting up the rock. Could not walk in water far too rough and seaweed galore. The beach is on a hill so could not get comfortable on lounges as you always felt like sliding or tipping over. If you weren't up and on beach by 6am and claiming a spot you could n [... read more]ot get one. People would lay claim and not show up till end of day and no one went around to clear spot for those that were there. Very disappointing - not a cheap holiday and it was bad. Food was second issue. Everything tasted the same - everything was the same everyday just thrown in a different pot or sauce. The fish was always over cooked - even if ordered and not taken from buffet. The best meal we had all week was at Bubba Gump at the airport when we were leaving. We did try every restaurant at the resort if had to pick guess the Asian was okay. One major issue was to get to the restaurants up at the main building you had to go past the sewage dump and it was nasty - you could not get the smell out of your head. First and almost everytime passing this stretch you are challenged not to throw up - and we were there in winter not sure how it would be in hot weather but it was gross and it isn't like you can avoid it you have to go that way to get to the restaurants - most unpleasant! The other really annoying discovery - the rooms! We were excited to hear everyone has an ocean view. And we did. What they don't explain is that to get the ocen view they built the hotel on a big arc - half curve all facing out and at the bottom of all of this are the swimming pools and in the swimming pool is the swim up bar. All lovely until the rest sinks in - it is an echo chamber. The wind blows in off the ocean - into the echo chamber and all the laughter of people having fun on their holiday fills the rooms including those that have had too much to drink at the bar and are now loudly enjoying their time - swearing, joking, all in the spirit of good fun and holiday but you don't want to hear it, you are not with them you have gone back to the room to rest - oooppps forget that you are in the echo chamber and can't shut the noise out. Oh did I mention there is a night club in the middle of the echo chamber on the 4 th floor that because of the way the building is built - that beautiful selling point - everyone has an ocean view - well the breeze blows in and you get to hear all the music and noise of the night club until it closes at 1, 2 or 3am - how wonderful - might as well just stay up for your early excursion cause you won't get any sleep. Oh and the all inclusive - mini bar - featured as a bonus in everyroom - great it is filled with pop and beer. Seriously not much of mini bar any other inclusive has had a full range of options not this one and we don't drink beer - so that too was a rip off. But there was a Starbucks and you could purchase from them anytime they were open. Last time I checked All Inclusive meant - no need to carry money - everything included guess they forgot that. This resort was nothing like it was sold. We were robbed of a vacation in time, relaxation and dollars. Tripcentral did us no favor in misrepresenting the excellence of this resort - we were very clear as to what we wanted and it was so far off the mark they should have paid us to go there. Would not recommend the resort or tripcentral.
