Riu Palace Punta Cana: Riu Palace Punta Cana - Quite Nice!!!

Although not as modern as other Riu hotels, this hotel is quite nice, very clean and well maintained. The food at the buffets was excellent with a great variety to chose from. The 'à la carte' restaurants were also excellent with no need to make reservations which is often a problem with other hotels. We managed to eat at all 5 restaurants during our stay. I would highly recommend other hotels to follow suit i.e. no reservations. Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Not Dreams Quality

Very Disappointed with the Dreams in Punta Cana. We were expecting better service and better food. The hotel rooms where we stayed were just ok. The attention to food allergies were taken into consideration for one night buy one waiter. Which can be very dangerous. The waitress' that did the beach service and pool service were very attentive and we showed our appreciation with our generous tipping. I do recommend the staff get training on working in the hospitality industry.

Occidental Caribe: A wonderful, amazing resort

I thought the resort had much to offer, there was a party area when I wanted to be entertained and then there was a quiet pool area were I could relax and enjoy myself. I thought the resort was big enough that you could walk around and enjoy the sites and the building and the pools areas and beach, the beach bar was close enough to get to.. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Breathtaking Bahia Principe REsort Complex

Beautiful lush landscaping, clean and well organized. Pools were spotless and well maintained. Service was spectacular. The food was the best at any destination. The meals were well represented and the buffets were endless. Our room was in the 94 block, in between the two pools and close to everything. The Beach was nice, my wife loved it.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great time

The resort was off a post card Soft sand endless beach butler service and staff were nice and always had a smile on their face You have to try the majestic drink I had a blast if go back to punta Cana will Stay at same resort

Great place amazing service and hotel very clean and well manicured grounds first time there and would go back michael Jackson show was so good as well as the other shows loved the Japanese restaurant people were friendly beach was beautiful 5star forsure

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: What a nice resort

Just came back from spending 7 days at the grand palladium bavaro The resort was clean and absolutely amazing no complaints whats so ever . Great for couple and families Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone The palladium has plenty of bars pools and over a dozen restaurants

Surprise Escapes: Great Escape...but not so much of a surprise.

We booked Sunwing's Punta Cana Surpise Escape, 5 Star Adults only Package. We were already interested in going to Chic Punta Cana, which was the lowest cost resort we could potentially end up at with "surprise escape" and with the "surprise" costing $50 less than booking Chic straight up, and the best case scenario was Secrets Royal Beach which was going for $1000 more than we paid at the time. We also booked under the pretense that we would end up with the best available room remaining at the  [... read more]time of departure...although in fairness that was not actually stated anywhere in the Surprise Escape description, and we did like the idea of the surprise. We later found out (internet research) that everyone who books Surprise Escapes ends up at Chic, which makes sense as it is Sunwing owned. Unfortunately I followed the pricing after we booked and not long after the price for Chic was actually less than the cost for the Surprise package. 4 days before departure we found out we were indeed going to Chic, and just a standard room, despite an oceanview room still being available, as well as rooms at the other 3 higher rated/higher priced resorts. So we did feel a little cheated by Sunwing. Luckily the price of the upgraded room had dropped significantly at this point and we were able to upgrade with our agent through Tripcentral prior to departure for a significant savings, which made us feel more like we were getting our money's worth. At the end of it all we had a fantastic vacation and Chic was a great hotel that we will likely visit again. As always we were pleased with Tripcentral and will book through our agent again in the future. However we would not do the Surprise Escape package again, and would recommend just booking the hotel that best suits your wants & budget. Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Awesome time

This resort rocks food was awesome room was ultra modern and clean we were super happy with pretty much everything The only thing that I would recommend to what is already there would be a larger variety of house red wine

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Stunning resort!

The grounds were spectacular with so many palm trees and gardens!! The beach area was pristine with plenty of palapas overlooking the water. Great selection of restaurants. Overall beautiful resort with plenty of activities and dancing!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awful resort

We did not have a good experience visiting this hotel, we showed up and the room was. It ready so they said they upgraded us to the fantasia, we got our room an hour later, it was very dirty with lots of flys. We complained twice and where told it would be cleaned they came the first time and it did not get cleaned, had to complain again since the bathroom had cobwebs and all these flys, asked to be switched rooms told us we would half to wait a day, so next day we switched rooms and than the ai [... read more]r conditioner wouldn't work, finally got it fixed at 11 than each night after it would shut itself off during the day and we would come back and the room would be 28. Bar fridge was only filled once the week we where there and anytime we asked for things the workers where rude. I used trip central to book this trip and they where incredible with help so I give them 5 stars but this resort was bad from day one and I don't like that the workers pretty well laughed at us. The food was okay, and beach and pools where great. Night life not much went on.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: nice resort

The hotel grounds were clean. The room we had was alright. The bathroom was showing it's age. Ceiling was starting to come apart. When the maids cleaned our rooms sometime the coffee pot wasn't cleaned or coffee mate wasn't refilled. Food was decent at most of the restaurants. Staff was friendly. I didn't care for being harassed by people saleing their items, very pushy. There was incident where some one could have potentially drowned and the staff was not very proactive. They finally react [... read more]ed once myself and my husband approached them to go save that person that was out in the ocean getting smashed by the waves. I believe the staff has little or no training in life saving, and had insuffient equipment to perform a rescue.

Excellence Punta Cana: Wonderful Resort

Just spent 14 beautiful days at this resort. The name " Excellence " says it all. Have been to other all inclusive resorts but this friendly staff is by far the best. We especially had some great chats with Junior. We enjoyed walking around their ecological park on the resort, feeding the fish, ducks and flamingos. We look forward to returning to this resort again.

Punta Cana Surprise: Not what We expected

The hotel was very clean. The room we got when we first arrived was very small didn't even have a bathtub. We did not like the fact that there were areas we weren't allowed to use and had to upgrade to use. We were bothered at least five times a day to go for the breakfast timeshare which we did not appreciate having to run away from people when we're on our vacation trying to relax so so not chic. The food was hit or miss I think I the whole week we had two dinners that were considered to be [... read more] good. The buffet was awful there were bugs (mosquitoes/houseflies)in the food and the service was awful: we would get up to get desert and come back to the table and dirty dishes were still there, whatever drinks we asked for we never received, some days we would sit and eat and not even get to see a waiter for drinks by the time we were done eating and time to leave. There were not enough cabanas or lounge chairs on the beach couldn't get one any day and at the pool the same way not enough places to sit. Not what we expected at all for a luxury vacation very disappointed and a waste of our money this trip.

TRS Turquesa: Excellent resort, great service

We travelled to the Royal Suites, Jan 15 - 22, 2017. This is our second time there, first time was about 5 years ago. The grounds and beach were beautiful, and the rooms, lobby areas, and walkways were spotless. There are now 2 exclusive restaurants for the Royal Suites guests, and the food was very good at both, which included lobster, scallops, shrimp etc, and several different cuts of steaks. We also ate at the Japanese tappanyaki restaurant, which was also very good. We went to the nigh [... read more]tly entertainment in the smaller theater and it was very good, then to the lobby bar at the Royal Suites. The entertainment there was more of a piano type bar scene, but very good. The bartenders, Juan and Mabel could make any drink you could think of, and were very attentive and friendly. I don't think I have had that good service at any other resort. If I had any negatives for our trip, it was that you had to get up at 5:15am - 5:30am to put a towel down on the chairs and palapa hut to reserve it, before they were taken. If you went to the pool or beach after 6:00am, all of the chairs were reserved, even though there are signs that you couldn't do this. Some people reserved spots around the pool and beach, and moved back and forth throughout the day, taking up 2 spaces. Over all, we think that this was one of the best trips we have ever had.

Tropical Deluxe Princess: Amazing Resort!!

We loved the grounds, our room, the food and the hospitality. We found the pool to be a little cold but the beach was a wonderful white sand. The workers on the resort are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Absolutely Wonderful

The Catalonia Bavaro resort bypassed our expectations. We spent a week there from Jan 18 to 25th. The rooms were spacious, very clean, bed was comfortable, lots of towels, and fridge was fully stocked. Everything about this resort was wonderful. The lobby, pool area, beach had an abundant of chairs so there was always seating. Love that you did not have to book the specialty restaurants and there was no issue at all getting in to them....we did all 4 and they were all amazing....I would gi [... read more]ve every area a 5 plus in every way. Last but not least the staff were the best, always friendly, polite and willing to go out of their way to do anything they could to make our stay a memorable one...and not just to get a tip. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: "Grand" is right!

Luxury Grand Bahia Principe Esmeralda is one of about 5 resorts combined on this property rooming over 3000 people that all share the same beachfront. If your #1 priority is beach, you will not appreciate this resort as you're packed like pickles with zero personal space. If you prefer a palapa, prepare to awaken around 6:30 a.m. to get one. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing location to the beach

Very clean and very close to beach . The rooms are very clean and mini bar was always stocked with beverages. The food at the buffets and a la carts was very good and always fresh .The pool was very good and the pool bartender was great

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: All-Inclusive first-timer

The all-inclusive format is great, though I could live without the constant tipping. Resort was very nice, but the rooms need upgrading. TV and phone didn't work properly. Construction in the room above was an unwelcome wake-up call for two of the days, and the world's loudest weed-whacker took care of the other mornings. Staff were mostly friendly, with the occasional grump sneaking in. Entertainment was better than I expected, and the restaurants were excellent.
