Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great Resort

Wide areas. Lots of entertainment. Food choices are excellent. Staff are very clean and friendly. Kids had a great time too. Bowling, game room, movie night. Wonderful place to relax and have a great time. Casino on-site, shopping, lovely music and entertainment; Theater shows were amazing, including the Lion King....

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Very little to complain about

Let me start by saying this was my first time in Mexico and im very glad I chose this resort. The hotel itself is gorgeous, very modern, our room was nice and spacious, it was very clean, we never felt unsafe and the food was very good. My favorite was the buffet because it had a little bit of everything. Second favorite place to eat was pepe's, the bar b q was perfect when you want a quick bite by the pool. Only bad thing I really could say is this resort is not really wheelchair accessible.  [... read more] Elevators were pretty far away from eachother, not enough ramps, and no automatic doors (from what I can remember). Other than that I really dont have anything bad to say about this resort.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Amazing Value

Great Value at that price point. 4-5 Star dining, great new rooms at the Palace and the Adult Pool was great. It was paradise every day, met lots of great people, I was single but it did not matter. It would also be a great family vacation.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Amazing resort, very slow service

The resort itself was amazing! Keep in mind that it’s huge so you might get a little lost. The food is great and the entertainment is great. The service however is soooo slow. Takes forever to check in or to find someone to help you. Over all I loved my stay and would recommend this resort to friends!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: If you're a foodie, go to The Azuls Fives!!!!

The food alone was enough of a reason to stay here- 12 restaurants and gluten-free/vegan options, topped with exceptional customer service and the most beautiful resort you could ask for! Stay here if you want an exceptional vacation!!

Tropicana Hotel: Great vacation spot

Tropicana is in a perfect location especially for gay travelers to PVR. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I've stayed here many times and have never been disipointed

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing Experience

Hotel was amazing. Hotel property was huge. Getting around you can use the trolley or walk to your destination. Grounds were well kept and beautiful. Food was amazing with great selections from seafood to meat and chicken. You can find food for even a picky eater. Entertainment could have been better. Pools were excellent with lots of room. I saw 4 pools not including kids pool. I do know that the Premium Club has their own pool. Didn’t go to beach as it was seaweed season, so stayed away  [... read more]from beach. Many fun excursions to do depending on your taste.

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Beautiful!

We really enjoyed ourselves. Loved all the cute little creatures roaming around! The staff was lovely as well. Our room was clean and we had no complaints. The buffet was to die for if you like 1000 choices. The lobby was our favorite part. Mellow, relaxing with birds and peacocks walking by. We felt very safe there.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing Resort

We had such a great vacation here.Comfortable clean room with the sheets changed everyday..Beautiful beach and outstanding workers..loved the pools.the food is excellent..Great service and such friendly people.I would go back tomorrow if i could..

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Friendly Vallarta- Nice Clean Resort

Friendly Vallarta is a nice, conveniently located all-inclusive resort close to Walmart and downtown PV. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the resort is exceptionally clean. We stayed in a room on the north side and on the second floor and it was large and clean. Beds are comfortable and the room faced the next door resort building so it was very quiet. That's a big deal because this resort is very noisy. There are speakers blasting on the beach, pool area and in the lobby.  [... read more]I found it a bit tiring when you wanted a quiet place just to talk and relax. The beach area is very nice and we didn't have too much trouble getting lounge chairs but we were there in May so the off season is beginning. One problem is that the resort could invest in more umbrellas. The adult pool area could easily use twice as many umbrellas. The Azul and Frita restaurants served great food and highly recommend them but the buffets were so so. They had difficulty getting or keeping food hot. If you eat at the buffets ensure you arrive early because they shut down at 10 pm without exception, even if people are lined up for a table. One buffet server lost her ladle as she was trying to serve me food when another worker started cleaning up her area at 10. If you like your beer they serve 2 types of Corona beer but not in bottles. The drink servers were great and tried to make any type of drink you wanted. Overall we recommend the FV and can say we enjoyed the week we were there.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Nice

We traveled to this resort on May 21 2019 to May 28 2019. It was nice, beaches not the best, food was boring and the same everyday. A la cartes I can’t say because they were full every night and couldn’t get in. Staff was friendly and fun. Long drive from the airport and extras were pretty expensive. All in all I would say it was a 6 out of 10! Thank you for the experience.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: What a Great Vacation!

My Fiance and I traveled to the Barcelo Maya Colonial during the week of May 19th - 26th. We had a great time, the weather was fantastic and all the people at the resort were super friendly. The rooms were a little musky, but you have to expect that in a tropical destination. Book it and enjoy! Cheers

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Would NEVER Return or use Carrier / Agent Again

So very disappointed in this resort! Been travelling for many years and although this resort was clean and well maintained (on land) the beach and smell from the beach made it very uncomfortable to even breathe and enjoy our swim up. The staff was ok and did what they could to understand and appease their clients. I realize there is a seaweed problem however the resort did nothing to fix the problem as the other resorts I have been to in the area over the last few years. We spoke to a travel age [... read more]nt from a competitor who was there to review the property and was returning to tell them that she could not recommend this resort because she was so disappointed with the smell of rotten seaweed and marine carcus. After speaking to the Sunwing rep at the resort they assured us that the resort updates pictures and hotel information daily to Travel agents so we should have been advised that the beach was closed and un-usable. Not they are having a seaweed problem and the sister resort has a beautiful beach. The beach cleaners were up to their waist in rotten seaweed with masks on. The resorts 24 hour bar and Entertainment/Restaurants were near the beach so we also could not enjoy that because of the smell. Our entertainment came when we paid additional $$ to leave the resort on excursions to find a beach, food and entertainment. Anyway ... there were 10 of us so we dropped over 20,000 and couldn't wait to leave. This is not a joke. I have NEVER given a bad review

Catalonia Riviera Maya: Great but for the seaweed

Catalonia Riviera Maya My husband and I have just spent a wonderful two weeks at the Catalonia Riviera Maya, from May12, 2019. Resort very clean, rooms large, and bed very comfortable. Staff very friendly. Check-in and out seamless. The food at the 2 buffet restaurants was very good, the best of any all-inclusive resort we have been to. There were repetitive standards from day-to-day, eg. pizza, pasta, oatmeal, bacon and delicious sausages, but there was always some new choices available,  [... read more]too. Coffee was terrible. It was quite noisy. Service was very good the first week, and not as good on the 2nd week. (not sure why?) The a la cartes were all good, with the Italian being the best. We went to the beach bar for lunch several days, and enjoyed it very much. Great hamburgers! There was a lot of seaweed, and staff was working hard to rake it up, bagging it and wheeling it away. I understand this is now the norm lately on this coast. I was still able to shore snorkel daily. This was quite good, very enjoyable. Most memorable fish: a lionfish, pufferfish, a stone (?or scorpion fish), stingrays, trunkfish, 2 types of filefish, baby drum, barracuda and the more typical damselfish, sergeant majors, etc. Entertainment staff very good, especially Viviana, Georgina, Katy and Miguel. Spanish classes were not available daily, rather only 3 times per week, which was unusual and disappointing. The schedule was posted twice near both pools, but unfortunately, were not the same, which was frustrating, until I figured that out. I did enjoy some stretching or yoga classes, both on land or in the pool. I did find that the activities which I wanted to do were all crammed together in a 2 hour period, approx. 3 x a week with two activities scheduled in the same 30 min. time slot. eg. bike tour, snorkeling and kayak tour, stretching and Spanish class. As a result, I ended up not doing some of these activities as tours, but rather ended up going on my own. If these group activities had been better spread out and daily, I would have enjoyed it more. There was nothing organized for the afternoons which I wanted to do. Other amazing staff were Sophie at the dive shop, the friendly ladies at the Creperie and the wonderful bartender (Manuel?) at the pool bar, nearest the Yucatan side. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Great resort for families...

The resort was beautiful however, some rooms are not ideally located as we eventually had to upgrade in order to move to a more quiet location due to the Theater's loud shows until 11:00pm. We were located only steps away and it was very loud. We are accustomed to 'Adult Only' resorts and while we were expecting a few smaller children, we weren't prepared for what awaited us. Way too many children, even many newborns which surprised us. Having the entire kids club being brought to our location  [... read more]at the pool daily was a bit of a nuisance, but given the state of the beach with the Sargassum problem, I suppose they didn't have much choice. All in all, the resort was great and the location ideal for a stroll to Playa del Carmen's 5th Avenue which we enjoyed. Sadly, the beach was inundated with seaweed and generally not appealing for swimming but that didn't hinder the trip in any way except that it would have been nice to dip in along the way to Playa as it was a very hot walk. The animals were lovely and the service was the best among all the resorts I've been to... All in all, my partner and I agreed that had this resort been Adults Only, it would have been the "BOMB".

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Good family vacation spot.

First impression by Lobby / check staff was poor. Too long to check in. Attendant was slow and not very helpful. Restaurant, grounds, pool and other facilities were great and staff were friendly. Beach was unusable during the entire stay. Lots of seaweed and rough waters. Watch out for the "not timeshare" sales tactics. it starts with " I will be your personal concierge". They are very persistent in trying to sell you something. Spa was great.Overall ok.

Riu Palace Baja California: UNBELIEVABLE!!

Amazing resort. Loved the infinity pool and the view beyond. Buffet was great. So much to choose from, but the taco bar at lunch was the best.Staff is amazing! My cup runneth over, Lol. Entertainment staff made it so fun. Can't wait to go back.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Definitely a 5+

My husband and I are return visitors to this resort. We usually prefer to try new places but this was so perfect we had to go back. The food quality and variety was spectacular. The rooms are pristine and modern. The staff was so professional and friendly. We’ll go back for sure!!!

Riu Santa Fe: Great time at Riu Santa Fe!

My boyfriend and I just came back from a 7 day stay at Riu Santa Fe and we had an amazing time. Check in was smooth and our room was beautiful, clean and up to date. The service at the resort was always good, staff was great. Everyone was always very attentive, helpful and polite. The themed pool parties were lots of fun! Entertainment made sure there was always something to do on the resort. The gym was always clean and it was quite spacious too, plenty of machines to chose from. My favourite p [... read more]art is the view this resort has on the beach area, it is absolutely stunning.. I would definitely go back. Also, the resort is less than a 10 minute drive to downtown.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Incredible place

Pretty well everything was wonderful. My only three complaints were the telephone went on the blink at least twice in one week, my key didn't work one day, and the beach was very rocky. Other then that,the people were very friendly, hard working. The room was just amazing. The place is really aptly named. It really was paradise for me;- lots of great food.
