Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Great resort !!

Very clean resort, excellent food, great service, would recommend this resort anytime. Quiet around pool area till 3 in afternoon but busy at the beach . Great beach for walks. Always food available .Great time !!!

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing Resort!

My husband and I traveled with our two children ages 6 and 8. We all enjoyed the food, service and amenities. The kids club was great! The kids waterpark was perfect and kept the kids busy for hours. The beach was nice, clean and spacious as was the pool areas. Staff were friendly and provided great service. The entertainment shows were fantastic! Our room was very clean and spacious. We had a great vacation and I highly recommend this resort!

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Great resort grounds, great food, nasty rooms

The resort itself was beautiful, the walkways, restaurants, beach and pools, all lovely. The food at the buffet restaurant was delicious and there was always a good variety. We enjoyed the Japanese and Steak house restaurants as well. The bars served watered down drinks!!! which was annoying, but when ordering shots, the quality was better. However our room was not nice at all. The bathroom was old, with black around the tub. Every time the folks upstairs had a shower, there was water st [... read more]reaming into our room. Maintenance came to fix it, however there continued to be a smaller stream. The ceiling tiles were stained black at the edges, so this was obviously not a new occurrence. The mini bar was only restocked with soft drinks one or two days out of our stay. We resorted to taking water bottles off her cart when sighted. We had four staying in our room, so did not always have enough towels. When trying to sort things out with the staff, the lack of English comprehension was evident. It was difficult to know if your point was understood or not. We took the side trip to Saona island with Nexus tours. The guide promised only 1 stop on the way, after specifically asking how many passengers would our transport be picking up. He promised only from our resort. Well, it took over an hour to get to the one stop, as we stopped at numerous resorts to pick up passengers. Especially annoying since some of the passengers were not waiting, and had to be paged. Then, on the power boat ride, the boat traveling with us crashed, I mean crashed, into the side of our boat. Thankfully the guide was at the front of the boat and alerted my son to duck, or he would have had the point of the boat hit his head. Bits of fibreglass sprayed us, and there was quite a jolt. The lead guide laughed it off, but it was potentially a serious accident. Having said that, we did enjoy this trip, and would recommend it. Just keep your hands/arms inside the boat and pay close attention to the other boats. So all in all, we did not pay top dollar for this resort, and we were alerted by our agent that the rooms were older. We were able to not let the room upset us, and thoroughly enjoy ourselves. I don't think we will go back to DR again because my son and husband were sick with N/V, and out of commission for a full day each. It was a couple days before they were feeling back to normal. I would hesitate to recommend this place for fear of problems with the room, and the difficulty getting the staff to understand the problem, or come to a solution. I think I will forsake the bargain next time and pay for a better hotel.

very well maintained facility. grounds are great. lots of pool access. good food at the buffet. ala cart was less impresive. staff provided good service and were very attentive. the shuttle service is excellent and worked great for the family, including a 20 month old. as wilth most of these resorts I'm always annoyed at the reserving of pool chairs so early. my only complaint is that i did have a complaint. emailed the hotel, and have yet to get a response. very annoying.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: beautiful resort

when we first arrived at now onyx I knew this would be an amazing resort. check in was a breeze, and staff was so welcoming . the resort grounds are beautiful and has an amazing beach front. we had a swim up room and let's say I couldn't go to another resort without one. There was a bar 15 feet from our room and wait staff wpukd bring us drinks right to our room- talk about service. the rooms were spacious and beautiful. had absolutely no complaints whatsoever. there was a bar fridge, which w [... read more]as stocked daily. room service at end time of day and night and was there within 10 mins everytime. every single person that worked there was amazing. they would all go out of their way to make you happy and get you what you needed. the food was very good and lost of variety- wish there was more seafood but not a huge issue. this resort was a little low key and more for families but breathless is a 3 min walk and is very lively, which you have full access to - so you can have the best of both worlds. overall I enjoyed this resort and have nothing negative to say. i would recommend this resort to friends and family.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Quality getting poor

The resort is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. However going to this resort four times I can see that the quality is slowing getting poor. Servers at buffet are slow and plates pile up on the table. Drinks are not brought in a timely manner. Towels and soaps are not replaced promptly. Robes are taken and not returned. The door to our balcony was left open on more than one occasion and we were on the main floor. There were Roaches in our room. We stayed at the royal golden section. Would be nice to have been told this in advance. Especially since we had visited grand bahia resorts 6 times.also lost my phone case. Although it was recorded as found took an hour and a half of my last day to track it down. No one knew where it was.they finally found it just before we got on the bus

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Very Large Resort

The resort itself is amazing. The food delicious and the beach goes on for miles. The only down side is the room we had. It was in need of some major cleaning and upgrading. When we walked into the room barefoot within seconds we looked like we had slippers on which told us the room was not cleaned in a while. The walls were thick with dust as well. Occidental Caribe: Great value for the money

this hotel has the best beach front in Punta Cana lots of areas to sit in the sun and shade with plenty of lounges. Pool had a goof vibe and kept everyone happy involved as many as possible. Punta Cana Princess: Beautiful Resort

It was a beautiful resort, immaculate grounds, rooms, facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and the food was good with lots of variety. We would have appreciated better entertainment at our hotel but we enjoyed the entertainment at Tropical/Caribe. The beach was amazing and clean. Overall it was wonderful.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: No surprise, tropical paradise

The hotel was well maintained and well organized. It is styled in the classic Spanish fashion of the Grand Bahia properties. It boasts three pools, with jacuzzi jets and bars at all three. Chairs are plentiful at the beach but can be difficult to secure poolside. Staff are diligent about raking the beach if any seaweed washes up. We enjoyed all 3 restaurants in the Esmeralda part of the property and could have accessed others if we wished. All staff we encountered during our stay were friendly a [... read more]nd helpful. WiFi was available throughout, even at the beach.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: LBP Ambar Blue

I chose this resort because I wanted a 5 star adult vacation with a great beach. Jarius suggested Ambar Blue. My wife was sceptical due to the price. Once she got there, she was amazed. The resort is huge, 6 resorts in one. The grounds are clean, well lighted. Rooms are big, with king beds, refrigerators, safe, and lots of closet and drawer space for clothes. The beach area is big, lots of chairs for sun and shade. Activities at the pool were fun, they really had to push to make people participate, but once they did it was exciting, such as a girl winning the push up competition, doing 67. The buffet restaurants at Ambar had more selection than the other resorts. The a la cartes, were delicious, each one unique. Make reservations early on the BH app. Make sure you see the Michael Jackson show on Friday evening. The village shops had a lot of the same product and the vendors were pushy. The new resort Fantasia was like Disneyland for the kids. Well thought out. resorts, something for everyone. The staff was friendly and helpful, and was grateful for a tip, Prices were in American dollars, and it was hard to get small denominations of Dominican pesos. The only issue we had was the door card wouldn't unlock the door, so we had to walk back to the lobby and get it renewed. I have never been to the same resort twice, but I would go back to this one.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: excellent resort

Would go back in a heart beat food room service grounds keeping all excellent weather was perfect the whole week we were there staff waited on hand and foot all entertainment was wonderful it's defiantly on our radar to go again maybe even next year our travel agent definitely got this one right

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: It was a beautiful Resort

The food was good ! The Resort is beautiful elegant. The time share people Don't understand NO!! They constantly hound you .. You got for breakfast they are all lingering at the only entrance.. By day 3 we went out the back way we had enough, you go for a cappuccino they were there bothering you. The hot tub was great day 1 and then soo cold for 3 days many people complained FINALLY the last 1.5 days it was hot. The second hot tub was never hot!! The "party" pool was cold !! NO music or e [... read more]ntertainment until 3pm and then it was lame. The music was non exsistant they had speakers set up and such and but was a very quiet doctors office music!! MANY people had there own music. Some staff never smiled then others were amazing! Beach service was a hit and miss.

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: WOW......Stop your searching and book your vacation HERE!

The resort was amazing. For individuals, couples, families who enjoy being a little more active, you will NOT regret selecting the Reserve section of the Paradisus Punta Cana. There is a breathe taking walk through an "eco-park" filled with a variety of palm trees, flowers, on a winding pathway complimented with calming music to bring you to the main part of the resort and stunning beach. You have exclusive use of two pools (one for children), a wonderful buffet restaurant, a la carte r [... read more]estaurant, and small pool side grill. The "standard" room was outstanding with no need to upgrade. We thoroughly enjoyed the cozier and laid back atmosphere of the Reserve. An added bonus of staying in the Reserve is that you have a separate "private" portion of the beach that was quite easy getting chairs, Palapas, and even beds on the pristine beach. In the main part of the resort, you have an excellent selection of two more buffet restaurants and multiple a la carte restaurants. Most of which either face the beach and ocean, and or offer inside and outside dining choices. The staff always seemed very content and were eager to assist in anyway they could to enhance your vacation stay. We walked a total of ~ 5 kms along the Bavaro Beach area, and the beach at the Paradisus Punta Cana was in our opinion the nicest .... by a long shot! We are planning on going back in November to Punta Cana, and will without a shadow of a doubt rebook here!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice Family Resort in need of some updating

We stayed at the Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana from Jan 14-21. All in all the resort is very nice and very kid friendly. Unfortunately the rooms are very outdated and smell extremely musty and were not cleaned very well and the minifridge was not restocked daily. The resort grounds were AMAZING and always kept clean. The food as delicious - the best out of any resort we have been to.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Impressive Improvements at Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa

My spouse and I just returned from a 7 day stay at the Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa (Jan. 7 to 14, 2017) and were very happy with our stay. It is a great medium size property - not too small and not too large. My first stay at Dreams was in April 2013 and I enjoyed it so much I came back for a second visit. Improvements were noted primarily in the exemplary customer service and the higher quality of food. The cuts of meat were of good quality. I had an exceptional filet mignon at the resort steakhouse. The in-house pastry chef outdid him/herself with daily specials - delicious! The grounds and pool areas were immaculate and very well taken care of. Although the rooms were a bit older and showed their age, they too were extremely clean and comfortable. We had a deluxe swim out room and would definitely book another again. Noticed that the resort was investing in promoting upgrades such as VIP tents on the beach, special romantic dinners, professional photos, and VIP privileges for extra money, etc. While I can appreciate they are offering a la carte upgrades, I didn`t appreciate being herded to the sales team immediately after checking in, so they could sell me time share to other Dreams properties. I just arrived for a relaxing vacation and we were immediately hustled into sales mode, offered a VIP breakfast and offered a two hour tour of the other properties. Definitely not cool. I would suggest to the management to invest more time and money in their nightly entertainment. I would rate this a 2.5 out of 5. A few of the shows (Dominican night and Circus) were great, however the Western show was more of an audience participation drinking game. Surely they can do better. Please bring in nightly Latin bands and singers in the upper lobby (next to the bar) so people can socialize and dance. They offered 30 min. of entertainment in the Santo Domingo outdoor plaza, and just when people were starting to have fun they closed down and moved people to the loud disco. The daytime activities were fun and plentiful should you wish to join in. The staff were very accommodating and friendly - specifically customer service representatives Genesis and Meiry. Overall I would highly recommend this resort.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Honeymoon

Chic punta cams was an amazing resort to take your honeymoon at. We upgraded to diamond club and highly recommended it above the regular rooms as you get an amazing buttler who surprised us with a romantic bubble bath with champagne and orchestrated a beautiful dinner in a candle lit room with one of the best steak dinners. Lots of fun activities going on all day like foam parties in the pool and blow up obstinate courses in the pool which is fun to watch or participate.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great times

We just returned from our 2nd visit to Memories Splash and really enjoyed it. The overall service was very good though we don't believe the diamond club service is worth the money anymore. It was amazing our first time but this time they let us know that management had cut back on that service and we couldn't use the a la carte restaurants at the Royalton which we previously had access to. Food selection and quality was very good.... we got "special service " when they found out how well we t [... read more]ipped which was nice. The rooms and resort were clean and the staff very friendly. We love it for the water park which caters to everyone including parents! ( there are slides that parents can have some fun on too rather than just sitting and watching your kid all day). Overall it's a great place for families and great value for the dollar.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Great Resort

Resort is large but still has a personal feel. Lots of variety in the food choices - we went to 6 a la carte restaurants and each was good. Would recommend reservations for the more popular Brazil and Japanese spots (do this on day one). We enjoyed the activities (pool aerobics and exercise bikes in the pool). Word of caution on the beach activities, staff are very enthusiastic and want you to write a review then and there. One actually "helped" and took our phone and deleted what we wrote  [... read more]and made their own review (in Spanish no less so we couldn't even read it). Beach is fantastic. Ample chairs and lots of shade to move in and out of at will. We had a bit of a issue at check in. Our room was musty and we requested a new one. Our bell boy abandoned us and we had to cart our luggage all the way back to the lobby to start over. Was disappointed with that piece of the service. But all other servers were very friendly and helpful.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Incredible second time at Paradisus

This resort is by far my favourite spot to escape the cold weather. The staff is so friendly, food is amazing (aka no food poisoning and amazing seafood) and very luxurious. Everything is modern and pristine. You can tell they put a lot into the property, food and entertainment. We somehow got upgraded to royal service for the week stay and let me tell you it's unreal. I won't be able to do anything less on my third trip next year that's for sure. You have to stay here. It's totally worth it!
