Iberostar Selection Holguin: Amazing vacation

This hotel was amazing. Our family had a fantastic time. The entertainment was incredible, it kept everyone engaged. The rooms were spacious and clean. Lots for everyone to do The staff were very friendly. Only thing I would change is the food it wasn’t great but we didn’t starve. The Japanese restaurant was a must do

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great place to stay

Hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly. We have been here three times now and would go back. Food is very basic but we were never hungry. Beautiful beach and clear blue ocean for swimming. Lots of places to walk to and explore.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Do not suggest sending anyone there

The resort is still in bad shape we thought we would try it again after Irma. The salt water pool & pool bar where closed, only one a la carte instead of 3. There was only 3 buildings open all had water problems. Not hot water when we got it was luke warm. Staff was amazing after made sure we had the best room possible took 3 times to fix toilet still did not flush properly had to use a bucket no water pressure in the resort. This is are 7th time to cayo cocco different resorts and never  [... read more]had any problem with food John got food poison. we were there for 2 weeks the beach is till beautiful the papalas had no cover on top for shade. there was broken stairs & broken walkways . will not go back. the food selection was poor same thing 3 times a day for 2 weeks. So buildings had no water at all

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: OK resort

The grounds were very nice and the beach was nice. The food was about a 3 and the service at the start was about a 3. We spent 2 weeks here so by the second week some of the staff were more friendly as they got to know us. The reason we decided to try this resort is that my wife and I are both very limited to walking so we were interested because they offered 24 hour room service. When I asked for the number to call for room service they said they did not have a number for room service that I c [... read more]ould asked the butler at our building. I could only get breakfast and you had to order it the day before. There was no other room service for lunch or supper. When we arrived to book in they were going to put us in the memories section which is family's and we had booked the adult only section at sanctuary. After some conversation with a manager they got us to the adults only section were our room was already given away because we didn't show up right away. They did however come up with a room on the bottom floor were we wanted with the exception that we wanted pool view and got garden view. That was not a big problem until we decided to set out on the deck. Were we were in the back off the building you could smell the sewage all the time so we could not sit on the deck. The pools were nice but there was no service you had to go to the bar if you wanted a drink, there was no service to the tables when in the lounge. There was some service in the dining rooms but very slow. I would not recommend this resort for people with disabilities. I am sure lots of people like this resort it just didn't work for us.

Brisas Sierra Mar: Amazing scenery, friendly staff,

A great place with spectacular scenery. The staff is trying very hard to keep everything working properly. With no help from the Government, who runs the place, it is almost impossible. It needs work everywhere. Do not expect to get 5 stars for a 3 star price. You get what you pay for. The people that work there are all outstanding. The music around the pool area could be a little less loud, but they listen and turn it down when told. On weekends they have some Cuban Familie [... read more]s as guests. Sometimes that is a disaster. They are throwing their garbage, empty plastic cups etc. everywhere. They are very loud and it's understandable since it probably doesn't happen often in their lives that they can stay a day with free drinks and food. Sadly, there are no salt and pepper shakers left after their visits and forks and knifes also disappear. One of the bartenders went all over the place to find 2 glasses because he is responsible for them. If missing, he has to pay for them. There are shortages everywhere, but that is Cuba. The people working at Brisas go out of their way to please the guests. We missed the fresh fruit that we had in the past. It's almost gone. Even Bananas and oranges are in short supply lately. Fish very rare. Papayas we had on only three days in four weeks. The wine and beer is good.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Great Resort!

Very clean! The food was good! close to the beach. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Big resort so plenty of walking. The entertainment was good. Plenty amenities. The massage was great went 2 times! the gym was clean and well equipped.

Los Delfines: Islazul Los Delfines

This Hotel is not a 3 star the first room I was assigned had black mold on the shower window ledge and all over the mirror frame. No hot water for a shower toilet installed wrong smashed my knee off the door so tight . Buffet was boring and cold. Staff was the only positive attribute to this establishment.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: White sands and blue waters

Rinke and i had the pleasure of spending a month at this really beautiful resort. The gardens were kept in pristine condition as the gardeners did their best with the few tools they had. For the lack of gasoline, the lawn grass was about 2 feet long. The resort was always full, mostly Russians who were loud and had no respect to staff or other guests. Our room at the Villas were really nice and comfortable. Although we enjoyed the beach, it's a struggle getting a hotel beach chair as the locals take over the beach and all the chairs, no control. The locals who are not guests use the toilets, the snack bars, bars, as there's little control. Security is everywhere and does nothing. Whoever manages the resort lack discipline and management skills. The Ala carte resturant serve delicious meals, we were allowed 3 per week. Our visit at the dentist was another experience. For 50 CUC we were supposed to get our teeth cleaned. I spent 10 minutes in his chair while he took 2 phone calls and left the room twice. He spent 3 minutes on my mouth, my teeth was the same when i left as when i first went in. I asked, are you done? He said "yes" i asked when he planned to clean my teeth, he said i was done. To future guests, please save your money. Or, demand he clean your teeth. I'll never return to him again. Over all, we will never spend a month at this resort again. 2 weeks will be enough. The airport is a whole other issue and no time to describe that piece of horror. Enjoy your stay. Juliey

Playa Pesquero: Premium at Playa Pesquero

Our group of 8 stayed at Playa Pesquero Premium Jan 29-Feb 8, 2020. 4 of us were returning guests, having been there 4 years ago (on the non-Premium side) We remembered the beautiful beach, assortment of activities, and great coffee. This was my 7th time in Cuba, 4th time in Holguin. We were greeted at the main entrance and were immediately shuttled the Premium side. No waiting, easy check in. Met by our by butler(s) who took us to our rooms which had everything we could have asked for plus a j [... read more]acuzzi tub, indoor glass enclosed shower and beautiful outdoor shower. Highlights: No need to rush for chairs in the sun/shade on the beach. You have reserved seating, with butler service, on the best part of the beach. This in itself is worth the extra dollars, in my opinion The "Snack" bar serves 3 courses for lunch. The food is great. Premium alcohol. Good scotch, bourbon, red and white wines. Nice mixed drinks at the snack bar,beautifully presented My friends and I had Zumba classes arranged for us in the gym. Lianet (sp) was talented and we had a lot of fun The pool never had more than 16 guests ( including our party of 8) We ate dinner in 3 specialty restaurants on the "main" side". Just had to mention our choices to the butler and seating was arranged. Romatico was fine, the other restaurants paled in comparison to the selection and food in the "Premium" dining area We travelled to the "main side" for a buffet lunch one day and quickly returned to our side after waiting in line and experiencing the noise and frenetic activity there. Called our shuttle and booked it back to our dining area for great service, good food, peace and quiet The only thing I missed was dancing after dinner. When the show on the "main side" ends around 10 pm, most of the activities end. Playa Pesquero hotel/resort is good. It offers a comprehensive package for a good price. Memories Jibacoa: Great resort

Wasn't sure what to expect in Cuba because I heard good and bad about it. But glad I went to c for myself,it was a good experience. The resort was great,hotel and grounds very well kept and clean,all staff were great some were amazing so happy and friendly.Food was good,good selection at buffet, went to 2 ala cart restaurants,disappointed in one because they only had one cook that night and we waited almost 1 1/2 hour for dinner,no one explained why till we asked.Over all good experience,glad I  [... read more]went,wish I was still there.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great for the price

We had a great vacation at club amigo Atlantico ,15th time there . It is an older resort which needs upgrading. The food is Cuban and plentiful not fancy .Staff can not do enough for you ,if you treat them right. Grounds and area are beautiful . Lots of things to do in the area .

We enjoyed our stay. Aside from the beach we love the staff at the resort. They were friendly and made us feel welcome. We got to know a few individually which was really nice and we look forward to seeing them again in the future.

Playa Pesquero: Nice clean resort

The hotel is very clean and staff are very friendly. The beach is very well kept and tidy. A very large resort with plenty of opportunity to walk off your buffet breakfast lunch or dinner. Food is plentiful so you won't go hungry. A la carte restaurants is the way to go. The buffet food is ok but it's what you would expect for a large resort. A few lineups for fresh cooked food but if you are willing to wait then it's not a problem. Our particular room was needing a refresh but all in all it was [... read more] ok. A very safe area to walk to the local market or take a horse and buggy ride for 5 CuC.

Muthu Playa Varadero: 4th visit

This resort is always consistent for me. Have visited here 4 times and the staff are friendly, the grounds well kept and the most beautiful beach. Food is plentiful and the beach grill is amazing. I brought a group of 23 with me and we all had a blast!!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Fun in the sun!

Just returned from memories flamenco in Cayo coco Cuba! Jay with the entertainment group was amazing!! Beach was beautiful but the resort could use some updating! Thanks to Julie Bond from trip central for arranging another great vacation!!

Playa Pesquero: Awesome resort!

We spent 10 amazing days at the beautiful Playa Pesquero resort. It’s a huge family friendly place with amazing pools and perfect beach. If anyone gets a chance to go I would recommend booking an Extravaganza private lobster dinner on the beach. Absolutely breathtaking!

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Quaint resort

The perfect resort that you go to for relaxation. Not a lot of nightly entertainment, but enough to enjoy the vibes of Cuba for a short while. Plenty of room at the beach and around the pool with a very enjoyable buffet restaurant. The 2 ala carte restaurants are a bonus.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful as always

This was my fourth time back to Memories Flamenco. I travel with a child (this time my son was six), and the beach is stunning for kids. Excellent sandcastle building sand, no rocks to cross before reaching water, literally walk down the boardwalk in bare feet to the sand and into the water. Four pools, two for young up to toddlers and then one for middle years kids and finally a deep pool mainly for adults. Pool side entertainment was always lively and interactive, same with the kids mini disco and adult shows in the evening. Rooms could use updates but that is to be expected, otherwise they are clean, housekeeping is wonderful, grounds crew are great. About 20 minute bus ride from the airport to hotel so close by, location is directly on the beach so no hikes just to go to the water. Overall I give a great review of the hotel otherwise I wouldn’t keep going back, it is reliably beautiful and has not disappointed me on any trip

Brisas Sierra Mar: Lovely location!

The Brisas Sierra Mar is in a lovely location and the weather is warmer at this time of year than the more northern resorts in Cuba which we have also visited. The people are friendly and as resourceful as they can be. The embargoes placed on them by the US have created shortages. The food is average and adequate but we return there because of the weather and feeling safe even outside the resort. There was a problem with people reserving beach chairs- even the evening before. The music was gre [... read more]at and there were lots of activities if one wished to participate. We went to salsa dance on the wrong day and one of the animators found someone who gave us a shortened lesson simply as a goodwill measure. We had many wonderful hikes through the countryside. There were seven of us and we were well looked after by the staff so we had a lovely time at the resort.

Club Kawama: Old moldy dirty resort

This resort is very old. The rooms have mold in them and do not get a very good cleaning. The lobby is dark and small. The grounds are run down but landscaping is nice. Buffet was horrible. The same food for lunch and supper. But a few nice restaurants close by. The beach beautiful, the pool clean and nice.
