Riu Vallarta: Fantastic Time at Riu

For my first trip out of the country, I was amazed by the food, service, room and the city itself. We were greeted kindly always and felt as if we were at home. I miss my trip and am planning to go back.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Beautiful Resort

Just returned on May 26, 2018. This was our 8th Mdxico vacation. The Riu Palace was by far the most luxurious resort.. The staff was very, very friendly. Food was amazing at a la cartes & the buffet.. Our room was very clean and spacious. We still can't explain the bath tub in the middle but??? Our only complaint was with the room balcony. We faced the sister Dunemar resort. The noise from the mechanical rooms made it impossible to sit outside. Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great stay!

The hotel grounds really felt like paradise with all the palm trees. Even though it was a big resort (not our ideal), everything felt close-by. While the beach was not the greatest (lots of seaweed and rocks) the pools definitely made up for it. Lots of games and entertainment throughout the day and night. The breakfast and lunch buffets were great with plenty to choose from. We recommend making reservations at the restaurants for dinner (buffet was not great for dinner). Grand Riviera Princess: HUGE RESORT! NEVER OVER CROWDED!

Loved the hotel, even at 90% capacity you wouldn't know, it was never crowded anywhere we went. Able to sit at the beach or the pool without issue. There are so many choices where you can stay depending on your situation. Eg. Family with children, couples only, groups of friends etc. The staff are very friendly. My only complaint would be the food was good but not great.

Grand Riviera Princess: Fabulous Trip!

This resort is simply amazing, from the large grand entry way to the clean and welcoming atmosphere, it truly has it all. Great food and drinks, definitely recommend the Blue Hawaiian.. so darn delicious! Our room was massive, with a large king bed and our own private patio. We did see rooms that had their down entrance to the pool and lounger, as cool as this was we didn’t think it would be worth the extra money. Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: 5 Star Resort all the way!!!

This was my 2nd time at this resort and everything was amazing! Rooms are beautiful, grounds are pristine, gourmet food with excellent presentation and the staff are very nice!!! Highly recommend!!! The beach is beautiful however they have been experiencing dead kelp being washed up on shore which is unfortunate we still swam in ocean though! Not much they can do about Mother Nature!!! Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Wonderful Resort!!

My son and I stayed there for 7 nights, and we couldn't have been happier with the service, food, entertainment and facilities. The staff were 5 star!! Hotel was very clean, far exceeded my expectations for 3 star. I would 100% stay at this resort again.

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Fantastic first trip to an Iberostar Resort

We loved everything about this resort. The entertainment staff (Star Freibds - Alejandro, Paula, Carlos, Edwardo, and Oto) were fantastic. The food, the jungle, seeing the different animals and resort staff all were amazing. The maintenance crew is out very early in the morning cleaning the beach every day and throughout the day. The resort is very clean and beds were comfortable. It’s about a 30 minute walking distance to 5th Avenue shops. The resort is in a great location. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Generally satisfied

First of all, this place is huge. They have some tiny trains to bring people here and there. From the coba, you need to take the train to get to the beach since it is quite far from the resort. Food was good and employees were friendly and helpful. Rooms were kept clean. We were generally satisfied with this place. But our major problem with this resort was the beach. If you are a beach lover and mostly spend your time there, i suggest to go somewhere else. It was one of the ugliest beach i [... read more] have seen in Mexico, not only because of the huge amount of seaweed which made the beach pratically unswimmable (we know this isnt their fault) but specially because of the breakwater they have installed which ruins the feeling of being on a real beach and feels like swimming in a lake. If i wanted to swim in a lake i would have stayed home since we have many lakes in Canada. The breakwater is so ugly we couldnd even take photos, we had to go somewhere else to take nice beach pictures as souvenirs. It ruined it for me. We stayed 14 days at the Coba and spent a total of 45 minutes on the beach our whole vacation. I do not recommend this place for beach and sea lovers.

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Beautiful resort, would definitely return!

The hotel was very well kept and clean, and the staff were all very friendly. We had amazing views of the beach from our room and there were always empty palapas to sit under. The restaurants were all very good, especially the Asian one.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Friendly Staff and Great Location

The best things about this resort: - the staff are all very anxious to ensure everything is good and that you are happy. Any issues are taken care of immediately. - everything from the rooms, to the public areas, to the pools and the beach, are kept very clean. - location is great (right on the beach, close to airport, downtown and other areas). - the food in the 'reserved' restaurants was excellent. - staff ensure rules are maintained (i.e. adults only in the adult pool). Areas that co [... read more]uld use improvement: - information was inconsistent and confusing - regarding resort activities (reservations were required, then not required, start time was 8:30 pm, 6:00, 7:00 and finally 7:30 pm., etc.), and restaurant names were different in the brochures we were given. - the food menu did change slightly in the 'open' restaurants, however, most items were always the same.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Great family resort

We enjoyed our little family vacation at this resort. We travelled with our 14 month old and it was very kid friendly and accommodating. She had a blast! Beautiful and clean resort, pools were nice and perfect temperature. The pool delivery drink guys were great and quick with all drinks although we felt the drinks were very watered down yet delicious. Only down fall would be not being allowed to swim in front of the beach but really that is probably my only down fall that I can think of. We def [... read more]initely had a great time.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Something for all ages

Great service, great food, lots of activities to do, great amenities, close to Playa Del Carmen, great beach buffet. Only thing I didn’t like was how aggressive the lobby and beach sharks were, always hounding you

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Outstanding Resort

Everything was just great, the food, the services, the room with view, the cleanness, the transportation and all resort lobby. But also the fact we had access to all sub-resort sections it was great as well. Also a special thanks to our waiters at the main Akumal buffet, Luis, Neyfi and Fabian! There were just great and provided an A1 services!

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Wonderful vacation!

The Grand Sirenis did not disappoint! The grounds are immaculate, the employees are very friendly, the rooms clean and spacious and the food was awesome. Only drawback was the seaweed problem making swimming undesirable. The air conditioning in the room had a hard time keeping up to the weather.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great resort!

The resort was great. We stayed on the Adults only side for only $10 extra and it was well worth it. The pool area there was great. There was daily entertainment at the pool and a nice swim up bar of course. All the pools were nice though, we just stuck to our adults only one. The beach was not great. Full of seaweed and rather rocky so we stayed at the pool instead. Food was great! Did not have to make any reservations for the a la carte restaurants except for the Hibachi style restau [... read more]rant. Buffet was always good as well and they held special themed buffet nights outdoors two times while we were there. Rooms excellent! Very beautiful, spacious, toilet private from the rest of the bathroom, two sinks, nice shower, jacuzzi tub. Bed not the most comfortable but manageable. Very nice balconies. Shows were good at night. Downside was the H10 Premium staff who worked at the hotel for the parent company I guess, harass you when you check in. They wouldn’t let us go to our room right away because they said they had to go over some information with us. Ultimately they are trying to sell you something. We just found them rude and pushy and he got mad at us when we weren’t as cooperative as he probably would have wanted us to be. But he was trying to make us sign some paperwork we didn’t know what it was and just wanted to go to our room. After that sour moment at the start, the rest of the vacation was amazing though! Would likely go back to this resort!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Excellent averall

The hotel blue bay grand Esmeralda was fantastic, it’s just annoying that you can’t do night swimming on the pool as it closed at 7pm. On the bright side you see that they actually maintain the pool... the stuff are friendly and helpful and respectful. I like that they are attentive and give me my privacy depending on what I need. I really enjoy my stay on the resort

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing experience and resort!

We absolutely loved this resort! The rooms and beds were comfortable and clean, the set up of the resort was easy to navigate and there was so much to experience! The resort was beautiful but overall the pool and entertainment staff were our favourite parts. They kept us feeling welcomed, engaged and we loved the experiences in the pool all day! Highly recommend this resort.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Customer service is #1

My husband and I, as well as two other couples visited the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo from May 5-12. We have travelled to a good number of resorts in the last few years and were impressed by the level of customer service at the Lindo. The resort is beautiful and staff were always working hard to keep it that way. The rooms are lovely, grounds are immaculate and food was great. This is one of 5 resorts in the Iberostar complex, which as a whole was huge but each resort was nicely laid out. There are [... read more] lots of dining options. Our favourite was the beach shack. They have a very well staffed bar there and a snack shack that offers fresh burgers, hotdogs,french fries and nachos, as well as individually wrapped sandwiches, salads and fresh fruit. The only negative thing was the large amounts of seaweed in the water. This is something the resort has no control over but they worked endlessly to try to remove it from the beach. Lastly, a huge shout out to the concierges who are present in each building and work tirelessly to keep their customers happy. We would definitely return to this resort but would probably try to travel at a time when the seaweed was not present.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Very good and beautiful place

I really happy to went to Riu palace and l receievd Exellen serviece and perfect food and drink. Thanks RIU staff and front desk that help with friendly to every one. This place is quite and peacefull.clean and modern. I really enjoy of my vaction and is good also for family .
