Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: A great vacation

We really enjoyed ourselves here. The buffets had variety and changed daily, restaurants served great meals....drinks were tasty. The staff were lovely and friendly and our standard room was nice. Dated, but very clean and had a nice little balcony that overlooked a pool. The resort is very large so we were able to walk around a lot without leaving the property. Beach is rather small compared to what I am used to and very big waves. Would have been fun to have a bogie board!

Sensatori Resort Punta Cana: Beautiful resort

Pros - Food was very good with a wide variety , weather was excellent and staff were great . Cons - Kids everywhere and winds were high which meant kids couldn't use the beach so the pool was packed . There isn't really a adults only section on their resort unless you have a swim out room . I must stress that if you want a peaceful uninterrupted resort this isn't the one for you ( way to many kids )

Sensatori Resort Punta Cana: Beautiful resort best suited for families with kids

I recently returned from my trip to Punta Cana at the Sensatori Resort that was recommended for my boyfriend and I from a Trip Central agent. The resort and spa was beautiful, our room was fantastic. Grounds are clean and impeccable. Food was good/ok, I think I went in with higher expectations with this being the first time trying a Karisma Resort and hearing such great things about the food. The only disappointing news was that we did not realize that the Nickolodian and the sensatori resort shared the same amenities. I thought they were two separate resorts. For example, in the main global village where all the restaurants are located they often have bands playing at night and other activities in the main courtyard, there was always a lot of kids running around so If you wanted to dance to the music the band was playing, you were surrounded by kids.Even the beach bar at night would have parents with their kids hanging out requesting nonalcoholic drinks. The beach party on the beach mainly consisted of all kids dancing, so it felt weird to be one of very few couples dancing amongst children. The adults only pool is located directly in front of other guest rooms so it was not very inviting to hang out there. All in all, the resort was beautiful and we loved our room and balcony And had a great time. Staff and service was great but for a couple (early 40s) with no kids, I would not recommend the sensatori. It’s definitely better suited for families. I just thought that sharing this feedback with you might help in the future.

Emotions by Hodelpa Juan Dolio: Good overall all-inclusive vacation

The coffee cafe and pool area a nice touch. Room was fine (toilet out of commission one day), though a comfortable chair would have been appreciated. Buffets great, specialty restaurants pretty good (Italian the best). Beach and swimming above average, though lounge availability in the shade could be better. Plenty of activity, staff very friendly and helpful in every part of the resort. Multi generational family had a great time.

BelleVue Dominican Bay: value for price i paid

food is ok you wont go hungry but room is very basic. The beach is nice no seaweed but beach is not private and locals leave garbage all over the beach. overall for price paid not bad but 2.30 hour bus ride not acceptable considering santo domingo airport is 45 minutes away.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: You get what you pay for

Beautiful grounds and kept clean, we had a renovated ocean view room on the second floor and was located central to everything. Mattress was very uncomfortable and pillows are hard foam. 1 buffet which was very busy and had to wait in line up for breakfast and supper. We ate at the Mexican restaurant 1 evening 2 of our party of 4 experienced food poisoning. We lost a days vacation because they were ill all day. Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Decent 4 star resort

Pros: good beach outstanding personnel cleanliness both inside and outside the rooms hilly area (stairs can be a challenge) well maintained landscape location not too far from airport several very good "a la carte" restaurants (Indian, Italian, Indochine,...) Riu Republica: Great resort

Great food, great service. However we booked this resort for couple reasons which are: adults only, beach and hot tubs. Before booking we checked out the website. Once we arrived, we found out the hot tubs were out of service for the week or more.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Lovely resort and staff are wonderful

This is our fourth time at the resort, it is lovely, really lush and well lloked after. The staff are friendly and really helpful and there is a lovely spa onsite too. We had the most wonderful massages.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Nice Resort

This resort is clean. We upgraded our room to premium which was worth the money. I would not be happy in a regular room as they are very worn. Food was ok but never hot. Service lacked speed. Pools and cold tubs were kept clean. Staff were friendly.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Puerto Plata

Small resort. Broken shower. Poorly sticked fridge. Supsed to be a family resort and there were little to no children’s activities. 50 chaises at pool for 500+rooms. Absolutely not good value for the dollar. Yearly travellers and this was the worst value for our money. Transat airlines was surprisingly worse than sunwing and their delays. Staff didn’t even help a SINGLE person with overhed baggage let alone any snack. Non existent tv movie or even radio all media down. Broken toilets. Absolu [... read more]tely shocking for a 4+hour flight. Sad really. Not the cleanest resort by any means and certainly not accommodating.

Riu Republica: Great holiday

The Resort was very clean and well maintained. The staff was fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very well appointed. The cleaning staff was friendly and did a great job. The buffets were plentiful and offered many different options. My only complaint was that all of the specialty restaurants except one seemed to have buffets as well. I would have preferred table service for dinner. That was our only complaint other than that this resort was amazing.

Occidental Caribe: Great week

The resort was a nice layout with lobby bars and nightly music which I quite enjoyed. The buffet was well stocked. I only wished that there were a second self serve drink station as it took time for staff to get drinks (very busy resort with ++people) and the only station was at the far end of the main buffet restaurant. The French and Japanese a la cartes were great. Italian was okay! and that's all I was able to try. book your a la cartes on your first day!! NO FREE WIFI at all. only "free" if you went to casino and bought drinks/played. 3$/ 15 minutes at a small internet cafe on the 3rd floor. on vacation, so I guess we dont need our phones. but I had never been to a resort with no wifi before. Sunscape Puerto Plata: Sunscape resort and transat holidays

This was definitely a three star resort. Disappointing. My sons shower head fell off numerous times on his head. Patio doors broken.killed 2 cockroaches and one mouse. Fridge stocked daily means one sprite one coke 2 bottles 500ml of water yet you cannot drink the tap water. Very disappointing for the $1400.00 per person we paid. The transat plane going had broken toilets so only two worked huge lineups. No movie not even a single radio station as their “ media was down”. No snack not a cook [... read more]ie or anything. We paid $5600.00 for myself my husband my 21 year old and 17 year old. We cruise or do all inclusives every year. This was by far the most disappointing trip and the value for our dollar was exceptionally disappointing. We travelled as a group of 22 and didnt even get a discount. I think this could have been handled wt better.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: amazing resort

Everything is in walking distance. Staff very nice and helping. Live singer each night, and disco until 2 AM. Was there from 18 to 25 Feb 2019. would go back anytime!! Clean room, and well maintained. food awesome. Missing a bit of entertaining during the day, not always the same time each day.

TRS Turquesa: Nice Resort, Customer Service Could Improve

We stayed at Royal Suites Turquesa for a week in February. The place is lovely, food is good, but the people are not as friendly as was expected or experienced in other countries. Checking in and checking out should have been filmed for resort educational purposes on how not to do things.

Excellence Punta Cana: Fantastic beach, very comfortable.

The vacation was overall very good to great. Though the surf was a bit rough for swimming, it was mesmerizing to just sit and watch the waves roll in. You can swim if you walk up the beach to the right, where it is more calm. Room was fine, but if I was a hotel room/bathroom designer, I would make several changes. The food was mostly excellent. If we go back, I woukdn’t pay for the Club upgrade because Magna was our least favorite restaurant, and the Club reserved section of the beach was not better than the non-reserved areas and there were more concierge folks at the front desk than at the Club concierge, and the rooms, service and access to the other restaurants was the same.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Bahia Principe aquamarine

The residence is great ,clean and good service, except for the drinks are not good , you keep drinking the whole day and you do not feel anything as if you are drinking water. The Wi-Fi is so bad and it keeps asking you to log in again and again every day. The residence is good for people who wants to stay in the residence only.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Nice resort but not safe for a Celiac

The beach is beautiful. Lots of shady areas available. Having stayed at the resort before, it is beginning to get a bit tired looking. The biggest negative for our family was the lack of knowledge of the restaraunts with gluten and gluten free products. Although we are very diligent and careful (if you are a Celiac you know what this means) my wife ended up getting very ill and missing a full day of our vacation in bed. I would recommend this hotel for others as it is very nice - but not for Celiacs.

BelleVue Dominican Bay: Decent stay

We came with a large group of people and our room keys often didn’t work. Staff were persistent on getting tips as well. The beach was beautiful and food was nothing special. The al a carte restaurants were pretty good.
