Breathless Riviera Cancun: Fantastic Time and Beautiful Resort

The hotel was new, the staff extremely friendly and there were lots of them. The food was excellent and the drinks were top notch. The entertainment was constant and fantastic! I would definately go back.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Beautiful Resort

Great place! Great food! Great beach.....loved our stay at this resort and would definitely recommend to my friends and family. I am hoping that we can return in the near future and that we win the trip to Jamaica; as we are hoping to go there next year.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Great Resort!

An amazing resort that's very welcoming and offering excellent service and dining. Rooms are spacious, well kept and clean. The grounds, which include an ecosystem and fauna, are pleasant to walk through and offer settings for photography. The extensive beach allows for play, relaxation and long walks. The staff is attentive and experienced.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Best resort ever!

The azul fives was outstanding. We have been to Mexico almost every year for the last 20 years and this resort was the best to date. Rooms are very well maintained and appointed. Clean and every last detail was thought of. Grounds are amazing and the best food ever. Concierge staff take great care in ensuring all of your needs are met. Thanks goes to Rodriego from unit 17! Would not hesitate to return and recommend highly. Great for family and young and old alike.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Oceans Eleven!

We spent the last 9 days at the Azul Fives Resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. This resort offers a different concept of All Inclusive. There is no massive lobby or buffet. There is a gorgeous "square " that host entertainment nightly. Numerous a la carte restaurants that you don't need reservations for, offer excellent, gourmet meals. There are 2 restaurants that do offer small buffets for breakfast and lunch. The resort is built around a jungle/cenote and the wildlife is abundant. We saw Spi [... read more]der monkeys every day, a wild pig, alligators and numerous other creatures! The beach is beautiful and you can walk for miles either way. The staff were fantastic and the grounds and buildings immaculate. We have stayed in many large resorts on the Mayan Riviera, and this is now our favourite.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Simply beautiful!

Such a great resort! Excellent services wonderful food and beverages and i think the Coba beach are is one of the best! The staff are phenomenal and always remember or recommend drink options lol. recommend to friends for sure 😀

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Amazing experience!

The blue bay grandeur is a massive property! Lots of buffets to choose from, all serve a large variety and all good. The beach is clean, wide and very well serviced! Lots of interesting excursions close by. Highly recommend the Tulum/Coba excursion with Mayan lunch and swimming. Great resort!

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Disappointed!!

We are in our 40s with two boys (7 and 4 ½ years old) and we travel at least once a year during the winter to the Caribbean to All Inclusive resorts. We stayed on room 8316 from Sunday Feb 5 to Sunday Feb 12. I would start with the positives: Some members of their team that made our trip more enjoyable - Jorge Ruiz from the Brazilian restaurant: Awesome customer service skills. Organized a big celebration for my son’s 7’s birthday. Thank you for that!! It made our trip. - Alfonso [... read more], our server at the Brazilian restaurant: he worked with Jorge really hard to put together something different for us. - Monica, from Asiana: after a survey I completed with her she tried to improve our stay at the hotel; booked for us many restaurants and escalated my concerns and complaints to Ingrid (Manager of Guest Services). Thank you for looking after us. - Guadalupe: looked after our room and she was awesome and tried to solve all the issues we had in our room! - Luciano, from the Mexican restaurant: Again, great service and great recommendations - Raquel Avalos Arias, in the main buffet: she looked after us almost every day and her service and attitude toward us was always excellent - There was a pregnant lady (I don’t remember her name) at 8.00 am who was the only one that knew better how to prepare a good espresso at the Cupcake Café. Thank you for allowing me to have a least one good espresso every morning. Best restaurants (food and drinks): 1- Mexican 2- El Gaucho and Il Piemonte 3- La bambola (awesome creppes) 4- Chayita (awesome burritos) 4- El Agave Blue Bar (better service than in most other places) 5- Riviera Blue Worst restaurants (food and drinks): 1- Asiana 2- Le Gourmet 3- Fogo de Janeiro 4- Cupcake Café (coffee was terrible, I believe training was not provided to the baristas and they are the ones suffering the consequences with reviews like this one) 5- Iztapalapa (drinks have been in general the worst I ever had in any resort I have ever been to; watered down, with a lot of sugar or a sweet syrup, lemon juice, awful, even beer in many cases was warm. No complaints to the barman as he was almost the only one service 100 of customers a day, so Kuddos to him but Sandos should allocate more resources to this bar and team) Amenities: Spa and Gym I would consider good and within my expectations. Use the Gym early mornings 3 or 4 times and the spa during the pm 2 times. Kids club: It was good and our kids loved the Lite Teens Club. Nightly Entertainment / shows: We loved most of them and I thank you the entertainment team for all the hard work. Beach was nice with a lot of entertainment. The family pool beside the Riviera Blue was super clean but the one located beside the beach, overcrowded, slippery and not that clean. Rooms: We were on the family area and rooms are way overdue a renovation. The other issue and most important one is that their A/C system is gone and have to be replaced. They now this as they put dehumidifiers in many rooms guests complaint about a smelly and damp room. As a matter of fact, they were replacing A/C units in at last three or four rooms in the first floor of our area. My in laws were on the Adult’s only area and their room looked exactly like ours but worst because their A/C seemed to not work at all. Fridges don’t cool down and need to be replaced. Both my in laws and ours had the same issue. Iron didn’t work and needed to be replaced as well. Management: On the positive side, they reacted to any issue we had on the bad side, it seems to be that they react to problems instead of try to avoid them. The staff from the Members club were annoying, they called our room every day at 8.00 am asking how everything was going trying to sell us a membership to the point I needed to asked and the guest services office that we didn’t want to be bother; next morning, they called again… Finally, first and last impressions I believe matter. The best scotch they have available even in the members club bars were Johnnie Walker Red Label Scotch Whisky or Ballantines (first impression from the bars). We left Sunday evening and they gave us a courtesy room to shower and change in the Adults only area: the room was durty, with only two dry towels and all other towels wet on the batroom floor, really it looked disgusting. (last impression). Would I return? Well, I really feel bad for all the good people that work at the hotel but I believe I would not go back until they upgrade the rooms, and make some changes.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Wonderful wedding experience!

My husband and I had our wedding at Azul Sensatori on January 31st. We felt very well taken care of there. Two of the coordinators-Gaby and Gabby-were absolutely wonderful. They made us feel so important, even though it seemed like they had at least one wedding a day, and they anticipated our needs. I felt like we were in good hands and anything we needed would be taken care of. They're very good at their jobs. The resort was the perfect side too for what we needed. All of our friends and family had their own space but it was also easy to run into each other and have meals together. Service everywhere was outstanding. We felt very cared for here and our entire party had wonderful experiences with many different staff members

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: Bel Air

This resort is not for everyone for sure, that being said it was what we were looking for. The rooms were great, large and clean. It was tucked into the jungle so there was not alot of night life here after midnight. The pool area was nice but the beach area is rocky. They have a shuttle every half hour to a five minute away beach they share with other resorts which has food and drinks that are part of your all inclusive. There are not big hotels here so it is more rural and there are alot less people around which we really liked. The resort workers were really genuine and the food was decent though the variety was less than other Mexican resorts. We did Chezenitza which was too long but I highly recommend the turtles and Cenotes tour which was fantastic. There is also a large cenotes on site where you can snokle or paddle kiak in where a family of manatee live. They call this an animal sanctuary but it would have been more of a zoo. Most of the animal areas are empty now,which is probably a good thing. There are alot of paths and small water areas to walk to and relax. We really would go back.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Great Stay at the Platinum Yucatan Princess All Suites Resort.

We had great stay at the Platinum Yucatan Princess All Suites Resort. Beautiful resort. We had a platinum swim up room. We faced southeast (Room #:5029). We had emailed the concierge at the hotel about a month before requesting a room in that area and they came through. The room had sun throughout the day and was on the quieter side of the platinum area. But still had great drink service from Maria!!! Imagine getting drinks from your private swim up area. It was great. Room was beautif [... read more]ul. The only knock on it was that there was a light on the balcony outside from 18:00 to 06:00 that you could not turn off and my curtains didn't completely close, so that light was beaming in the whole week. The pools were good. The only issue i had was that the platinum pools was actually a series of pools with a divider every 150 feet or so. So you couldn't swim from our room to the bar or other areas of the pool without getting out. Not a big deal. The beach area on the other hand, was subpar. The sitting area was fine with lots of loungers and umbrellas, but the water and the beach close to the water was full of seaweed and rocks. You had to walk down past the Sunset Princess to get a decent swimming area. Overall the service was superb. The spa was great (a little overpriced though). The food was great. One of the better buffets I have eaten at. If you want a quiet vacation, I suggest the Platinum Side. The regular side is great if you want to whip it up a bit (Foam Party). And you always have access to the sister hotels next door.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: A Wonderful Place!

It was simply amazing. The service was wonderful. The food was great in all the restaurants. I was disappointed in the beach and the sea but it could be the time of year we visited the resort. The sea was rough for the 12 days we were there so we were not able to do any water sports or swim in the sea. It was difficult to walk on the beach as the water was so rough. I would rate the resort very high.

Grand Sunset Princess: ok resort

Resort was great - resort alcohol is awful - had to change rooms as 1st room was beside a swamp and the odor was horrible - 2nd time at this resort and 1st time was much better due to expectations - for a second time stay you would think they would put us in a better room from the beginning and we would not have to request a change of rooms

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Beautiful Big resort with a Great beach

This a big beautiful resort with lots of various things to do. The beach is beautiful and enough beach chairs and umbrellas to find a good spot. Service is very good, and the food buffets are well prepared and nice and have a good variety of everything. The beach bar is great and I loved the beach waitress services. The beach snack bar has fast food type items that are appealing to kids. There is a concierge in many buildings so they can help anytime with anything. It was not that busy so n [... read more]o lines at buffets and service was amazing in all the restaurants. Drinks are not that great, just the standard type of resort concoctions, a little watery and the wine was pretty bad.The snake bar in the Maya section was the best. The only downside might be the size, and it was not that easy to get carts, there did not seen to be very many carts and you had to wait for the staff to call one to pick you up, almost faster to walk so it did become annoying. You really have to like walking if you want to take advantage of the other activities in the adjoining resorts. We are quite active so it was not a problem, but not sure how other people handle that. It looked like a fantastic place for children with the kids water park and many pools. The front lobby staff were amazing, i have never seen such pleasant service.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Amazing Week

Just returned from a week at Grand Sirenis in Riviera Maya, Mexico. My husband and I took my parents there for their very first island, all-inclusive ever! It exceeded their expectations and it also impressed me. The resort itself was extremely clean...EVERYWHERE. Rooms were very large and well taken care of. The food did not disappoint. Barcelo Maya Caribe: Ok

Resort was ok - food was not good mostly, most staff didn't speak English so to communicate was difficult - weather was nice, resort clean and maintained, drinks were ok (red house wine I couldn't drink not good), rooms were comfortable

Catalonia Yucatan: Relaxing/safe/great location/

Food in all restaurants was great. Rooms require updating and modernizing. Staff and service in all areas outstanding. transport to off site activities/shopping readily available and affordable.Short taxi ride to a Mexican type wal-mart if you need to replace items forgot to pack. Very good value for the money spent.Friendly Mexican hospitality creates a relaxing and fun vacation.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Incredible Vacation!!

We honestly could not have chosen a more wonderful resort for our vacation. We are both travelers and have stayed and other resorts, but nothing compared to what awaited us that this hotel! The first thing I would say is that a swim out room is a must at this property.. we upgraded our trip a few weeks after we booked and were so thankful that we had the pool right outside our room. The food, which I had read mixed reviews on before travelling was beyond amazing... and with the unlimited a-la-cart dining, there were many options to pick from. Our favorite was the Rodeo Grill which had the best appetizers and a great house wine. The Italian option was also wonderful and if you get Miguel for your waiter, you are certainly in for a treat. TAO was fantastic and the chef was extremely entertaining during our meal. Humberto, the bartender at the main pool made the best drinks on the resort and Katy was always attentive to make sure we had cold drinks. The room service was included with the package and was quick and great when we needed a snack. Overall, the staff were wonderful, friendly and went out of their way to make you feel pampered. The hotel's nightly entertainments were fantastic and should not be missed! The property is beyond clean and nothing ever looks out of place or un-kept. Not only would we recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a vacation in Mexico, but we cannot wait to return.

El Dorado Maroma: Wonderful

We just returned from one week at the El Dorado Maroma. It was amazing! The staff were sincerely kind and friendly. They made an effort to remember your name. The restaurants were very good and not busy. The beach was beautiful and we loved the canopied "beds on the beach". We enjoyed using the paddle boards, kayaks and participating in the yoga classes. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Good resort

I thought the customer service was poor, the key machine wasn't working when we checked it, we ended up waiting hours for our room keys to brought to us, and a couple of days another issue with most of the resort room keys weren't working. Someone got into our room on our second last day and took the tip and goodie bag I left for the maid after they cleaned our room. But the room wasn't cleaned so I called guest services they said they would send security to check the key pad to see who came i [... read more]n but no one dame . We just got another call and asked if we wanted our room cleaned. The restaurant staff were very pleasant especially Wendy.
