Grand Palladium Jamaica: Amazing Resort

My family (wife and 2 daughters - ages 19 and 16) and I absolutely loved this resort. From the cleanliness and size of the rooms to the food at the buffet and a-la carte restaurants to the pools and beaches, this resort is top notch. I would HIGHLY recommend!

Very nice place to go with family and friends. Staff is very friendly and helpful, always willing to help you. Rooms are nice and clean. Pool is amazing and clean. Love the food and atmosphere. Overall we enjoyed our trip recently.

Rooms were great. The service at the buffet and pool bars was disappointing. We waited for long periods of time for water/drinks at the buffet while we were eating. Some. days we asked for cutlery many times and waited 25 mins to get it. Waitresses always seemed lazy and cranky. No gluten free/dairy free pasta, pizza, or desserts. Secrets Wild Orchid: Amazing Resort

Love, Love, Loved our vacation there! Staff were Amazing!! Food phenomenal!! Beach Gorgeous! Would highly recommend. Also would highly recommend Toya's Majestic Tours, she was an amazing tour guide. I just came back from vacation in Jamaica on August 11, 2023, Resort HOLIDAY INC RESORT. Staying at this resort was very horrible, I never advise my worse enemies to go there for vacation. The Pool was okay, the beach Bar and Jerk Bar. If you need a bottle of water they never have one to give you, You have to use the drink machine for water if you need it. Catalonia Montego Bay: HOILDAY INC RESORT

I just came back from my Vacation in Jamaica Holiday INC RESORT. The resort is not worth going to, the food was okay. the Pool was amazing Beach, and the Jerk Bar was good. The services for our room were horrible NO Mine Fridge, there is no clock in the room to see the time. When house cleaners clean your room never leave towels she says would that the towels are finished, and I have to call guest service for towels. Couples Negril: Fantastic Experience at Couples Negril

Food was exquisite and served quickly and always hot! Not once was I worried about food safety. Drinks were delicious with plenty of options. Rooms were sufficient, with good AC. Beach is large and manicured, even the swimming area was free from rocks and debris. Crystal clear water! Plenty of space and loungers for all. Large selection of water sports to choose from and all included. Staff all friendly and willing to assist.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Poor Resort!!

This resort is very poorly run! Food options at the buffet are bad, the staff as a whole are not friendly and seem like they being bothered when asking for anything. Check in is very slow. They didn’t offer drinks that other resorts on the island offer. The grounds are kept clean. The pool is big, the beach is nice. The entertainment was good. When someone from my party asked the lifeguard for some ointment for a sunburn, she was told that there is no first aid kit. The rooms are very dated. The balcony door is very hard to open/close. 1 of the elevators is very slow and the door seems to have a hard time opening at times will only open about an inch. Will not be staying at this resort again, my family travels to the island for our yearly vacation.

Ocean Eden Bay: Not Impressed

For a 5 star resort i am thoroughly NOT impressed. My Husband and I booked our honeymoon at Ocean Eden Bay. I have had my eyes on this resort for close to a year after seeing a video online of it. The service is absolutely awful - we went to the buffet for pretty much every meal. Not once during our one week stay, did they bring our drinks the first time, we always had to ask a second time and most of the time it was just water we were asking for. As someone who has a severe seafood aller [... read more]gy, the cross contamination is terrible here, probably one of the worst buffets i have been to for it and the majority of the other restaurants menu is also seafood, thus why we opted for the buffet. Just about all of the staff members make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them by asking for something. The night of the foam cannon (Thursday July 20th) - my husband and i both (on separate occasions) witnessed the bar staff take a used cup off the counter, rinse it with some water in the sink and then proceed to make another person a drink with the same unwashed, unsanatized cup. The pools are also very dirty, tiles flaking off everywhere, cups just floating in the pool and at one point there was someones hair piece and fake eyelashes just floating around. The same night as the foam Cannon, my husband took a crab about the size of my shoe out of the pool - reading other reviews this seems to be a common occurrence. I understand where the resort is located and naturally these things may happen, but seriously?!? - all those people in the pool and this thing is just crawling around. As we were celebrating our honeymoon the hotel offered us a complimentary dinner on the beach, well they forgot about us. We wandered the beach for about 20 minutes the day we scheduled before proceeding to the lobby to see if maybe we were in the wrong spot. NOPE, just no one delivered the paperwork. - i will say, Nigel at guest services did absolutely everything he could to make this better, he got us in for a dinner at BlueMoon, & our server there was also fantastic. This was just about the only part of our stay that was positive in terms of the hotel. The hotel GOUGES for anything you need to purchase from the shops - they are charging $13 US (Almost $18 for my CAD people) for a bag of chips, if you go not even 5 mins off the resort that price drops to $3 US. I understand they need to make something off it but really a 400%+ markup? And finally, we went to the checkin counter to request a late checkout as our plane didn’t leave until 7pm, the lady at the counter was definitely not the nicest, they charge $10 USD per hour to extended check out (which was no problem) but they quite literally cut the bands off you when you checkout we came back to the lobby at around 2:50 (we paid to extend until 3pm as our bus left at 3:20) we couldn’t even get a drink while we waited as they cut the bands off - so if we didn’t pay the additional we would have been stuck sitting in their lobby for 3 hours as the services would no longer be available past 12. (In the past any other resort i have been to will let you continue to use services until your departure day of) Overall, not impressed at all, i have had better service from 4 star resorts. Im so glad we didn’t opt to upgrade to privilege and didn’t spend more money with them. Will absolutely be back to Jamaica, as it’s beautiful but never again to Ocean Eden Bay.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing Resort!

Everything was absolutely beautiful! Latoya and Carlyle at the pool bar were simply amazing! Nashville who helped us to our room was the nicest person ans always stopped to say hello in passing as well. The resort was clean and comfortable. The only thing we had trouble with was our air condition that was not working properly. Other guests we met said their rooms were freezing cold, however we did not have comfortable sleeps at night as the air-conditioner did not cool the room well at all.  [... read more]That was disappointing as we did let the front desk know. But it didn't seem anything was done about it.

The grounds are meticulously groomed and showcase the best of Jamaica's top resorts. Modern appointments in rooms with a safari feel for a very comfortable stay. Pool area is a daily draw. Tasty restaurants, evening entertainment create family-friendly or romantic atmosphere.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: PAID FOR 4.5 STAR HOTEL FOR UNDER 3 STAR

Must read before you book. ‘Don’t waste your money.’ We want to share our unsatisfied experience with our recent stay at Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton in Jamaica. As you know we paid for 4.5 stars hotel, however the hotel and in general the resort was below 3 *. Starting with the distance from the airport to the resort as per the Website suppose to be about 30, minutes, but we were stop in several other resort to drop off the guests and we reached our resort after an hour and 45 m [... read more]inutes. On our second day the AC units start leaking water in our room and half of our room was flooded. We called for help and the maintenance guy told us that he will inform the management to give us another room nobody showed up, we went to reception, there was no report about the issue in our room. The staff didn’t want to help, we asked to talk to manager no one want to talk to us. We wait the entire morning until late afternoon to change our room and spend the rest of the day repacking or stuff to move to another room. We waste one day of our vacation. The condition of the room the cleanness in no way close to 4.5 start hotel, extremely uncomfortable beds. The beach was full of seaweeds floating all over the beach. The evening entertainment shows was very boring with 10 dancers and just changing the outfits and the same dance over and over again. Food was okay, the excursion price was outrageous $165 American per person.

Dreams Rose Hall: Excellent food and location

This was far from our first time to Jamaica. Food options were extensive, and very tasty. Coffee shop was fantastic. Staff and food and drink options were top notch. Staff at most were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel is mid sized, and easily walkable. Hotel rooms well appointed, but could use a refresh here and there, and in parts of the hotel in general. Although more umbrellas have been on order for many months, awnings and other options could be looked at for other areas in the meantime. Lazy river/slides are awesome. Evening entertainment was so/so. My only real negative is the expected tipping, everywhere. More than any other hotel in Jamaica I’ve ever been to.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: 3.5 stars

This resort is located in the central area of Montego Bay. The location is wonderful, close proximity to the strip & airport. However this hotel could do better, especially in relation to the food. I found the buffet constantly empty and the food wasn’t being replaced (at one point 8 buffet tray warmers were empty by 9am and not replaced before breakfast closed at 10:30). I loved everything about the hotel. From how we were welcomed to how we were treated ( specially Jason G. the Buttler who I will highly recommend because he did an amazing service, Lory the waitress that attended to my room(26704) during my stay and everyone on duty for my room's services. I understood. Another little small issue is refusing the guest entry for a late arrival for a la carte restaurant, if they can be a little bit understanding for maybe up to a 30 minutes late arrival.

Ocean Eden Bay: Awful time at Ocean Eden Bay

My husband and I had an awful time at Ocean Eden Bay. We spent over 7000k and then upgraded to privilege on day 4 (of 10) in the hopes of getting some service. we also tipped in USD 5’s since we arrived but yet, the level of service remained just ridiculous. - room was totally dirty, other people’s makeup marks in bathroom, fingerprints/handprints and things on all flushes, switches, patio doors not wiped down, etc. left paid cleaning staff extra 20usd three times with a note asking for a f [... read more]ull cleaning - finally I was there and I showed the cleaner all the marks around the room. I never used the jacuzzi tub during our stay cause I never felt like anyone wiped it down. - we don’t drink that much. My husband likes baileys in his coffee. We like coffee. We couldn’t get any but then we saw it in the privilege lounge. So we paid for privilege. For one day, he got baileys in his coffee, but the next day, the bottle ran out. For the next three days we would ask for it and get a sugary substitute. Like, it’s the one thing we asked for. We are Canadian, we don’t need to be waited on hand and foot. But the one thing we asked for, no one could bother getting. - apparently with privilege you get a butler - we had one for the two days , again, we don’t need much, so didn’t really see him other than the first hello and exchange of WhatsApp numbers. - in the middle of the night, around 130am, water comes rushing down from the ceiling lights in our bathroom. All electricity is gone. We walk to the late night restaurant to ask for help. They call front desk and maintenance. Over half our later, Maintenance comes to the room and another person comes to move us to another room. - new room is a swim up room, the room smells very very badly of mold and no one ocean view - finally around 3 we sleep, at 9am we are woken up by front desk to say we can stay in this new room until noon. Doozy fall back asleep. Butler knocks with welcome - are we X people, no we are not. Now I’m hungry, but we have no keys. I start texting our butler, nothing, I wait. I go get some food before breakfast is over. Still nothing from front desk or the butler on what is happening next. - I go to front desk, I wait in line, I ask to talk to manager, she says we can have a new room with an ocean view and that someone will bring us keys. No one ever came. We gave up and just waited to get the hell home. We paid luxury prices. Once in the privilege lounge, the food was good. The mattress in the room was good. Everything else was a massive disappointment and huge waste of our money. This trip was important to us for many deep reasons and unfortunately, other than swimming in the ocean and feeling the sun in our faces, it was not a healing or rejuvenating experience. It was frustrating and disappointing.

Me and my husband spent two weeks here in June 2023 and the resort is beautiful and the staff are amazing. However, we were very disappointed with the beach . It was very rocky. It needs alot of TLC. We are from Toronto Ontario
