Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Great resort at dreams palm beach

The hotels were great but the beach was gross because of the seaweed but we survive anyway and had a greAtweek anywAy The food was amazing we ate a la carte every night .we like the Asian restaurant the best but the others were ok too

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Not a 5 Star Resort

I would probably give it 4 stars. Mostly based on the food. It was such a disappointment. I mean, how can you screw up hashbrowns? But they re-fried them so many times to try and not waste it that they ended up with a hard and cardboard tasting product. The variety of the buffet was not great either. The restaurants were ok, with the habachi table in the Japanese restaurant and the Italian restaurant being the best options. I would have reserved the hibachi table twice if I knew the other [... read more] options weren't that great. Although the hotel said they were 3 years old, the rooms seemed outdated. The housecleaning service was inconsistent. They forgot to give us back towels the one time we asked them to be changed, the turn down service was anytime between 7-930 pm, and the floors weren't cleaned each day, which was obvious since the floors were tiled. I still had a good time in Costa Rica, the warmth and the surroundings were beautiful! However, if you're looking for clear blue waters and white sand, this place is not for you. The sand was nice enough for me and although the water was not clear, it was still a nice temperature to swim in. I did not use the hotel's recommended excursion company, but used Alex on the Beach instead. They were cheaper and their service was much better. On the two excursions we did with them, there were only 4 of us on the tour, so it was practically a private tour! This was awesome on our Nicaragua tour, especially getting through the many many passport checks when we went through the border. We got through in less than 15 mins. While others who were on the busier tours, had to wait much longer, since they had to wait for all 30-40 passengers to go through the same checks over and over again. I would definitely visit Costa Rica again, but would not come to this resort again.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Wonderful family holiday!

Our travel agent was spot on in recommending this resort for our family vacation! We had a wonderful time at this beautiful resort!. The staff were all very friendly and eager to please. The food was delicious and plentiful. Eduardo, Carlos, David, and Jennifer were all very helpful and made our family vacation most enjoyable. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, but may plan future trips to avoid the "rainy season", as a sailing/snorkeling excursion to the island had to be cancelled d [... read more]ue to weather, and to no fault of the resort. The only negative aspects of our trip were that despite 5 attempts to contact the person responsible to assist us in using our trip central cash cards, no one was available, and we were not able to take advantage of these cards. We also attempted to purchase one of the luxurious bath robes...they were happy to take our money, but after going back and forth for about 12 hours, they finally told us they had no robes for purchase, and paid us back......in $1 bills.

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Awesome resort

The entire resort is surrounded by a tropical jungle. It is perfectly laid out on the side of the mountain. Restaurants and food were top notch. Resort itself was only 3- 4 years’ old. Rooms were very modern and clean. Very little walking required in resort.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Dreams Puerto Vallarta

The hotel was very clean and very accomadating. The staff was excellent especially Circio,and Angel,Paco,Marcos and Emmanuel at front desk and Iseral was also very helpful. The pool was very clean and not crowded and the wait staff was very attentive. The evening shows were very good and the Italian Restaurant was amazing.

Had an excellent time visiting dreams dominicus. Grounds were well kept. Friendly staff and great food. Rarely ate at the buffet. However room service and the restaurants were fantastic. Beach was gorgeous and the room was very clean! Housekeeping staff was in daily to do a full cleaning of the room. We purchased the upgraded room to the master suite swim up tropical view. I believe “courtyard view” would be a more accurate description for this rooms view. Still happy with the room but it was disappointing from what was expected or explained about the suite itself. I am not sure that I would have been as satisfied without the upgraded room as we used a courtesy room prior to departing and the features to the room were very dismal. A painful shower head in the general rooms was awful. The pressure was so strong we had to turn the water barely on and it was still painful. Would only recommend this resort, if you are seeking a suite. The bathroom in our suite had 2 rain shower heads and it was spacious and elegant. I would recommend editing the explanation of the view on this room as it is very misleading to consumers. However, I would recommend this to friends or family but warn them about the regular rooms as the upgrade is well worth the price. Included with the upgraded suite was the preferred club. I would highly recommend anyone to upgrade to the preferred club as the liquor selection is magnificent for Dominican and the private beach area is breath taking. Overall I would rate this vacation a 5/5 in relation to the resort. Although I was happy with the end result the description of the room may cause Trip Central or Dreams Dominicus some flack in the future for misleading/false advertising.

After reading many negative reviews about this resort, I had pretty low expectations and I was a little nervous of our upcoming stay. After staying there for a week, I must say that there are many truths to some of the reviews but the trip is also what you make out of it and how high your expectations. We got an excellent deal on resort and you get what you pay for and that's exactly what we got. On arrival, I was surprised at how small the lobby was, it was also very hot and humid but we we [... read more]re promptly greeted by staff and given a glass of champagne. Check in was quick and our rooms were ready as soon as we arrived. The room was small and dated and was hot on arrival. The AC was set to 15degrees but the room was still showing 22degrees. We immediately when down to the lobby to have someone fix the AC and someone was in our room within 20 minutes to fix the AC. We never had any issues with the AC for the rest of the stay. Like I said, the room was small, very dark and very dated. The lamp in the room was filthy and the night stand and main table in the room was fairly sticky. The bathroom mirror was corroded and the sink fixtures and tray with toiletries was dirty. The room is very dark and only has a lamp to light the entire bedroom area. We had no issues with clogged toilets and the shower pressure was really good and the tub drained fine. We had no issues with having our fridge stocked up daily and was always able to get lots of new towels from hotel staff. The restaurants were not all open due to it being low season. We managed to eat at all of the restaurants with the exception of the Sea Side Grill. All of the restaurants were petty good, food came out hot. The buffet was a little disappointing. There weren't very many choices and it seemed like the same food from the previous day was being served the next. There is always a lot of Mexican style food being served and not enough "American" food. There was also a lack of seafood at this resort, unless you ordered a tiny piece of mahi mahi or salmon from the a la carte restaurants, there was no fresh fish or shrimp. There was no shrimp for the entire week of our stay. We were also surprised that there was no top shelf liquor here. We stayed at a sister resort and had no trouble getting top shelf alcohol like Grey Goose or even Don Julio tequila. The Barefoot grill had amazing pizzas and we ate this every single day, multiple times a day. The grill would also put out a small buffet in the late afternoon which was very nice as well. The outdoor buffets were our favorite and really enjoyed the food here, there was an abundance of meat choices as well as vegetarian choices. The staff at this hotel were amazing! Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond and made the effort to get to know us and what we liked. The entertainment staff was exceptional. They truly made our stay and without them, we probably wouldn't have enjoyed. We always looked forward to Giovanni and his energy and his whole team. There was a lot of activities to do and shows in the evening although they did end pretty early. The sports bar was also a nice place to go to in the evening, another pool table would have been nice as well as a dart board. The pool is small and gets quick murky near the end of the day but the staff was working hard throughout he day fishing out leaves and debris as well as fixing broken tiles in the pool. The beach is also small but it was nice to be able to snorkel here. We had no trouble with beach chairs but it was low season. Overall, our stay was better than expected and we enjoyed ourselves.

This resort is the best one that we have been to on our forth trip to Costa Rica, the service, food and hospitality was excellent during our stay. Except for the last night we had dinner at the Buffett restaurant, the cook behind the seafood grill was very rude and miserable. Maybe he was having a bad day but he should have left at home. The only thing was that the Air conditioning was not able to shut off when we pressed off, it would automatically turn on after a few minutes, they did try t [... read more]o fix this problem three times but I guess this one was an auto mode no matter what setting you entered. Over all we had a great time and the grounds are beautiful. The location of the hotel is surrounded by rainforest and we got to see three out of four kinds of monkeys. Thanks Dreams for a great week, we are planning to return in the near future.

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Disappointing Resort

The resort is beautiful with impeccably manicured grounds. The staff are very accommodating and helpful although many of them speak no English. Those are the only positive things that I can say about this resort. Although they advertise 5 restaurants, only 1 is open for each of breakfast and lunch and only 2 are open for dinner. Have a great deal of difficulty truly understanding what benefits we received as Preferred Guests and we were charged an obscene amount of money for this privilege. JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Most beautiful Resort we stayed at ever.

Dreams was an absolutely beautiful resort. The pools are endless and surrounded by beautiful lounges with comfy cushions. The pools are set up in such a way that you have a lot of options for privacy. Lots of options for kids at kids club and kids pool that close to the other pools. Food was excellent. The sushi restaurant was excellent. The Italian was very very good as well. Many options and you never felt like you didn't find something amazing to eat. Gift shop was great. Many bars an [... read more]d a night club. Staff are very friendly and had great options if it rained. One night movie night was moved inside and it was on a huge screen in the conference centre. Spa was really expensive. Beach was nice and well cared for. Room service was available everywhere even though it didn't say that on the website. The only real downside was the resort is very far from everything else.

Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa: Beautiful Resort

Dreams Tulum is a beautiful resort with amazing buffet and restaurants. Beach is very nice and landscaping of resort is elegant and well laid out. Great swim up pool bar and mid-afternoon shows are entertaining. Close to Xel-Ha and other activities.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Great resort and service

The Dreams Riviera Cancun is a great resort. Its a great layout , not too small or too big. Food and service was very good . Rooms were nice and spacious and very clean. Overall a great resort and I would definitely recommend this resorts to friends and family.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Great staff, Food issues

Just got back from Dreams, Puerto Aventuras. "OK" experience overall, but there was one HUGE shortfall everyone should know about. In my opinion, the breakfast buffet is one of the most important parts of an all inclusive experience. This resort failed to deliver on this. The Buffet dining room is very small. The buffet items are lined up on the same wall and in two pieces on both sides of the "Omelette" guy. So, everyone lines up for an omelette, and covers the buffet trays so they are not acc [... read more]essible. Worse yet, the selections at the buffet were terrible and did not regularly include staples such as bacon, ham or sausage each day. These are the easiest and most basic items you must have at a breakfast buffet - I have been to many all inclusives in Mexico, DR and Cuba and have NEVER seen a buffet this bad.Al la cartes were so so - Portofino was the best and we ate there three nites. Pizza was excellent Took a look at dinner buffet twice and disappointed each time - again, the most standard item at a dinner buffet is a PASTA bar. This was not there either. Otherwise, all staff was very happy, friendly, helpful and we tipped them accordingly. Great selection of name brand liquor and Mexican beer. Resort clean overall and plenty of beach chairs. In summary, I was very disappointed simply because there is just no excuse for not having some very basic, daily staples at the buffet - have never seen this anywhere. This would have to improve for me to return to this resort.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Great Entertainment, Excellent Staff, Decent Food.

Mostly young families here during the week, luckily we found a few young couples to spend the week with. The food was decent, unfortunately their were only about two a la carte restaurants open each night, through the week. Cocktails weren't good, no premium booze, what they had available was to be purchased by the bottle. No lobby bar which I found to be strange and unfortunate every AI I have ever stayed at has one. Staff very friendly and helpful. Resort clean rooms clean. Loved the small pool by the ocean-it was great for snorkelling Omelettes in the morning were great. Loved that you didn't have to reserve for the resteraunts

This place is fantastic! The pools and beach are fabulous, the service is amazing. The sales people were very pushy, but cordial, except for Alejandra, she was evidently angry and short-tempered, she made me change my mind after I had already decided to join their VIP preferred club (UVC). We travel a lot, so I thought it would be a good deal, maybe not. As for waiters by the pool, Consuelo was absolutely exceptional, same with Manuel. Some waiters hold back on the booze and say they don't have [... read more] certain brands (Don Julio tequila, for instance), when they actually do. Not sure why management has that stupid policy that can backfire so easily. The food was really good at the World Cafe and the Japanese Fusion was delightful and original, but the Brazilian restaurant Gaucho was a horrible mistake. Not only is the management so bad that people have to wait hours to get a table while there are several empty tables inside, but the food is awful, all cheap boiled meats, not really grilled, covered in glazed salt, simply terrible. The beach also needs more shade for non-privileged guests, but I suppose that is how they get you to pay extra.

PURA VIDA "Pure Life" well defined for sure. They say that a lot in Costa Rica and for good reason. In short its an AMAZING place to spend quality time with your family. We decided to go in late June, it's their rainy season but Guanacaste apparently is not so rainy. A few days with rain lasting anywhere from 10 min. to an hour and at times raining while the sun was out. All around no big deal. In my opinion the food was too good; excellent well presented, and suited for any palate. The excursions, really good, a little pricey but all around great deal. I would caution to watch your wallet. They prescribe to the 3 foot rule, If your within arms reach your given a sales pitch to a; Hammocks, wooden bowls, pencils etc. The children are poor and they make crickets and heart shaped art pieces from palm leaves, I didn't want to be a heartless bastard so I took lots of $1.00US bills and freely gave them some money for their efforts. Sad, no one should be hungry especially in 2017. That said ... Amazing place, I generally have a rule not to visit the same place twice, but in this case I will return for sure.

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: First all inclusive experience! Fantastic!

This lovely, well maintained hotel is built into the hills with balcony views over the beautiful grounds, many crystal clear pools meandering through the flowering foliage. All meals and restaurants were fine, but the breakfast buffet was outstanding! The shows and activities were many and varied. One could do many things or just relax by the pool...Perfect setting for a multi generational family.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Nice resort !

Overall the resort was good. The beach was well taken care of compared to other resorts. The only complaints I would have would be : getting bigger bills changed for smaller bills for tipping was difficult they would try to say that they didn't have change this was almost a daily battle.when upgrading to a VIP room was great only complaint there was that they say you get $200 resort credit when we went to use them it was not at all what we were told, they ended up being a gimmick to spend more m [... read more]oney. Overall the resort was well kept rooms were clean and mini bar was always stocked up.I would recommend this resort to others!

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Great Resort - Not so great food.

The resort was very well maintained, great pools , bar and bar service. Carlos & Itzbel were our servers at the pool for our whole stay and they were absolutely fantastic! This was the third Dreams that we have stayed at and unfortunately the food was not what was expected, many restaurants to choose from however the food was quite basic for the second half of our vacation we took a shuttle to the neighbor resort Secrets for dinner and the food on that side was amazing!!
