Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Wonderful Resort

Very clean , pool is very nice and clean , all meals can be had in the restaurant No Buffet. Staff is always friendly, Pool Bar Staff are the best ! Beautiful Beach and boardwalk to Beach and Beach Bar is new but is awesome .

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Great resort in best location

Loved everything about this resort...second time since January and will definately going back really soon..the only thing I would like to see change is the buffet items a little more..but its cuba...

Roc Barlovento: Nice pools

Hotel room was good didn't always have good water pressure but bed was so comfy and maids were amazing would have liked some patio furniture on the balconie All staff very friendly and helpful food plentiful but not a lot of salads omelettes in the morning excellent and pasta very good as well all on all enjoyable would return for sure!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Disgusting

I don't understand how anyone can say this is an amazing resort. The excuse "it's low season" is not an excuse for the filth or lack of service, food and clean sheets and towels. If you're going to stay open, you have to serve the people that have paid to be there. I literally counted down the minutes until we could go home. Melia Internacional: Nice beach

The washrooms in the lower level by Tobbaco store where awful no toilet seats no soap no paper towels the hand dryer didn’t work and fulllof mosquitoes the ala carts where the same food as buffet just served to you also at the Italian ala carte we where eating and roaches where crawling up the window and ledge next to us not what u would expect I told the waitress she came a few times and squished them with a cloth very appetizing

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Nice and relaxing trip- beautiful beaches

The hotel was great, especially since we had paid for the Diamond Member. You get exclusive beach access, restaurants and butler service. The staff at the Diamond member private beach were phenomenal l, amazing hospitality l. Our bartender was so friendly and attentive. We loved this resort and will be back again. Also our Butler Marianne was so accommodating and hospitable. We will miss Cuba! See you next time.

Sol Palmeras: Amazing Resort

When we got to Sol Palmeras we were supposed to have a bundow room but we was told it is far from the main building, so I ask the reception if I can get another room in the main building, and she was so nice she did, the room we got was very nice and it look newly renovated. The staff at this resort were very friendly and the food was good specially being in Cuba. I would recommend this resort.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: fly and mosquito infested trip trip to Grand Aston

As far as the room quality air conditioning service location and unit 5 star. But not so much the food and hygiene. The food is really repetitive of average quality too much salt and most important not hygienic they do not fumigate the dining area so the entire area is full of lies and mosquitoes they sit on the buffet on the food and it is very dangerous you don't feel like eating the food so this is my worst rating as far as the food quality and hygiene is concerned Hope the hotel looks at it  [... read more]before somebody falls sick because of these flies and mosquitoes hovering around and sitting on the food you cannot even enjoy the food you have to keep moving your hand to keep the mosquitoes away and also the flies away. The mosquito bites left my skin very sore for days after coming back from the trip in spite of putting mosquito repellent

Grand Memories Varadero: Great value

This was my second time coming to this resort. Overall great experience , rooms are nice and spacious. Pools are clean and big. Ocean is just a walk away. Staff are awesome, lots of activities to do even if you want to stay on the resort. Only thing was the food, not many fish options or even vegetarian options.

Playa Vista Azul: Great Resort

This s a beautiful resort friendly staff. Only issue is the food wait staff are good. All the bar staff helpful, the grounds all clean and keep. The beach clean. Everyone helpful the rooms are very nice also.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Lovely vacation

We spent a week at Royalton Hicacos. I've been to Cuba many times and I think it's one of the best Cuba has to offer. The grounds are so well kept with mature vegetation, beautiful flowers and exotic plants. I loved the cottage feeling of the resort. There are plenty of intimate spots, caves, beautiful furniture and a gazebo. The food was good. We were blessed to have Naylet as our butler, she is such a delightful young woman, who genuinely cares about guests having the best time. She organized all our a la carte dinners, decorated our room for my birthday and set a beautiful beach seafood dinner for a romantic night. I felt very special! She was always checking on us if we needed anything! All of the workers are very welcoming and always greet you with a smile. Special thanks to Sonivid at the buffet restaurant, she's a gem! She was our favorite waitress! We were not a part of the Dymond Club and never felt excluded. Mosquitos! They are there, we put deet 30% spray, and lotion and still got a lot of bites! It's better than in Cayo Coco but still take care. There's a pharmacy where you can buy basic medications such as Ibuprofen or Benadryl and hydrocortisone cream. The beach is gorgeous, it's a paradise! The guys always help you to set up the umbrellas with sunbeds. Right on a beach there's a hut with drinks flowing and if you want they bring drinks directly to your spot. The lobby bar is very modern with great service and a variety of amazing cocktails and coffee. Loved the musical bands every night and the opera night. Very talented artists! If you like Cuba you'll enjoy your vacation. It's a Cuban 5-star hotel, not a world-class luxury, keep it in mind. We met a lot of cool people from all over the world. I recommend!

Blau Varadero: Cockroaches

The hotel was full of cockroaches almost everywhere, even in the restaurant and I was really upset with that especially when you’re about to serve yourself with food and the cockroaches are playing around on the table or on the floor. It was a bad experience even though it wasn’t first time going to the same hotel, but overall I like this hotel, but not with cockroaches in it.

Barcelo Solymar: Terrible resort

I have been to the resort a few times and it has never been up to the standards it used to have. It is only the staff( which I have become close friends with) that there is a reason to go there. The pool had to be closed one day because the water was green and cloudy and had to be cleaned. Sol Palmeras: Good resort

The resort was decent. Food was ok. We changed rooms 3 times. The first room was a bungalow and infested with ants everywhere. There were even a few nest looking things in the bungalow. The second room also had a ton of ants, but we got put in a 3rd room because the room above us flooded. But it was a relief to get away from the ants and the 3rd room was ant free. I also got a ton of bites. I think from sand fleas, but I would always notice them after I woke in the morning. It was really brutal. [... read more] They were swollen and oozing. The staff were pretty great. Cheerful and accommodating. Overall, it was good.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Our home away from home

The best hotel in Cuba. Amazing staff. Good food. Clean. We have been here many times. It's like going home to us. We go 2 to 3 times a year. I would recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for an at home feeling.

Melia Varadero: Amazing vacation!

Not only Melia Varadero met our expectations, it actually exceeded them! The hospitality and service during our stay was exceptional. Everything, from the accommodation to the delicious dining options were impeccable, and the beauty of the beach goes without saying. We had friends who went at Melia Varadero before us, and they told us about the picture perfect vacation they had. And we could experience it as well. We decided to upgrade our vacation to Level, and it was worth. Breakfast and lunch daily at TexMex is reserved for Level clients. And it is the most picturesque view you'd experience. The bar from the 5th floor, only for Level clients, is the perfect place to have a cocktail and a chat before heading out to dinner. We recommend Melia Varadero to anyone who wants to spend days being spoiled and relaxing on the beach or at the pool.

Club Tropical: Compact Family Resort

Everything is close to the Ocean. The water was between 90 and 95. The staff is very good from the front desk to the management, to all the waiters and waitresses. One thing about a smaller Hotel. You meet alot of friends. We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the water. There was 3 of us. The drinks were excellent from the Pina Coladas to the Sangria. Breakfast was excellent , Lunch and dinner changed daily. We went out for dinner 3 times in a week. Lobster and Lobster pizza was our favourite. I want to thank Kevin at Tripcentral. The only problem we had was the travelling. Waiting in lines at the Cuban Airport for 2 hours arriving and leaving. We wish we could do more for our Cuban friends.

Sol Caribe Beach: very nice Resort

I was at this hotel for 10 days, loved it, the beach and site are stunning, water warm and calm during day and get a little bit rougher late afternoon always availability for palapas or shade at the pool The food was good. always something to eat,,,the fruits and ice cream delicious, and was during low season the only think no coke during my stay, so no cuba libre lol The room was very nice, clean with a beautiful view , The entertainment was ok, it needs a little bit more spunk  [... read more].. ;)- Overall no complaint :) recommend this resort valerie
