Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: The resort was over & above expectations.

Management at this resort KNOW how to train all guest emplyees who have contact with guests. The complete atmosphere was GREAT. One person that stood out in minds was our butler, named Jose. If anyone wants a complete review, check my review on Travel Alerts. In general, if you go with an open mind, you will not be disappointed.

GR Solaris: GR Caribe

We were supposed to stay at GR Solaris, but due to the 24-hour flight delay by Sunwing, our room was no longer available for this Sunwing all-inclusive package. They 'upgraded' us to the quieter GR Caribe. Some may prefer the Spanish style architecture to the more modern hotels. My one issue was the food in all of their restaurants - all the ingredients were there, but the dishes were not tasty nor flavourful. Made me wonder if there was a head chef.

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Amazing resort and service

Very well kept and lots of activities for kids. Lots of food options for all ages. Pools were good, but could be warmer. Nice beach. Options for parasailing and other water activities. Check in process could be better, as we arrived 2 hrs early but room was ready 40 min later

Moon Palace Cancun: Very nice 5 star hotel

Huge complex There are 3 resorts that you can access the Sunrise, Nizuc and the Grand. We were able to got to their lobbys and have drinks or food no problem even though we were in Nizuc and the Grand is a diamond elite. Hotel is very clean, staff is nice, food was excellent, pool area you have staff that brings you food and drinks to your chairs. You have an APP for Palace resorts that you can download on your phone, you can reserve the restaurant's from there, you can order room service, you can order coffer and etc and have it prepared ahead of time and grab and go at the coffee shop. You can also order extra towels, drinks, bed and even toothpaste or toothbrush to your room all free of charge. There are shuttles to go from lobby to lobby (bus). There are also 8 passenger golf carts that bring you almost everywhere in the resorts. There is a kids pool area in the Sunrise, a surfing wave pool in Sunrise that is free. There are watersides in the Grand but these you have to pay per day. There were live bands playing songs by the pool from around 1PM to 3PM in the Nizuc that played 80s and 90s music which was nice instead of the dj music. Overall very nice and highly recommend.

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Could be a great resort

This resort has great potential, but needs to work on a few things. I am not sure about this because this is my first resort since Covid, but you need your phone for everything. My husband and I try to stay away from our phones while on holidays. It is impossible at this resort. You need to go on your phone to find out all of the information, especially to make reservations for dinners and to get burgers at lunch. The most frustrating thing at the resort was you couldn’t make reservations unti [... read more]l after midnight. Then you had to be up early to get pool chairs, I would say by 7 if you wanted shade. Our safe did not work and we had to call every other day for it, eventually we gave up and hid our stuff. Food was okay. Lunch was the best and you could always gets seats at the beach. The employees were all extremely nice and helpful. Resort was nice and big. Lots of walking. Overall it was a 4.

Riu Dunamar: It couldn’t be any better

We made a last min decision and booked a night before departure but in reality we couldn’t have picked a better choice. Staff are amazing. Hard working and all smiles. Rooms are big and clean . Pools are great and bars are very generous in their dispensing. Beach was nice…plenty of lounges.

Riu Dunamar: wonderful resort

the food was superb, the grounds immaculate, swimming pools were very clean they just needed a deeper end. The beach was awesome but unfortunately couldn't spend long there as it was so windy. Unfortunately not much to do other than the beach and pools, suggest something like miniature golf, shuffle board, pickle ball, bicycles with a path around the perimeter of resort. Grand Oasis Cancun: This was a prison

This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, food wasn’t edible, line ups for days, it’s an extra charge for everything. You don’t get a safe in your room without paying for it, they don’t restock your fridge unless you pay for it, restaurants were impossible to get into . But if you payed you could get a table in the empty restaurant you apparently need a reso for .. it was very unclean and the rooms were a joke, as well as no wifi outside the lobby. Grand Oasis Cancun: STAY AWAY

Where do I start? I’ll start by being asked to write a review for this resort by me was a BIG mistake. How’s about I get into some details… food is probably the worst I’ve had in the world(I am well travelled) one of my travel companions stepped in human feces and when told to the resort staff, they said “what would you like us to do about it?” Room was cleaned ONCE in 7 days. EVERYTHING was an upgrade, including WATER and $8/night to use the safe. All I am saying is read the fine p [... read more]rint. Bars close at 12:30am. When I confronted customer service about our stay he offered ZERO solutions and when pressed further just told me to read my booking. We didn’t book the pyramid level but we also weren’t the palm level but felt like we were almost homeless. NEVER AGAIN will I consider this chain and further more I will actively commit time to making sure others do not as well.

Oleo Cancun Playa: Nice beach resort

The hotel was always being cleaned and well maintained. The standard room was not as pretty as the feature photos, that was a let down. The 2 towels per day were old and needed To be refreshed. The food was good, but limited in options. The beach was amazing, the staff was always kind and courteous. Overall we enjoyed our holiday.

Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing staff, old resort.

Fantastic managers and staff though the entire resort! They are always welcoming, super happy to see you and amazingly accommodating to your needs. Decent pool with an unobstructed view on the sea and beach line. Beachfront is clean and not over crowded allowing you to fully enjoy the beautiful beach. Most of the restaurants had decent food but we loved Chi Chi Mediterranean restaurant and the French place. Also the burger place is really good too! Texana burger recommended! The buffet breakfast [... read more] and lunch were always good. The resort room on the other hand were not up to standards- I had to switch rooms 2 times- all 3 rooms had the same issues. The air condition vents and wooden slats over the sinks in all rooms have a thick layer of dust and debris not great for dust and mite allergies. The bathtubs are falling apart, with rusty open drain holes, bubbling tub paint, mouldy clothes line above the tub and the sewer smell of the drain near the toilet. First 2 ocean front rooms with a balcony had a loud whistling sound because the doors do not have a seal. Gave up the ocean view room to lagoon view to get a peaceful nights sleep. This resort is about 20 minutes from Cancun city and the public bus stops at the resort. About 15 minutes to the nightlife near Coco Bongo. And an hour to Playa Del Carmen and 5th Avenue shopping area. 15minutes to the airport! So you get to your vacation really quick!

TRS Coral: Probably the nicest resort we've visited. Ever.

TRS Coral, part of the Grand Palladium group in Costa Mujeres, was fantastic. Great pool, nice rooms, wonderful staff. excellent food. Fun atmosphere with a ton of choices of entertainment, dining, dancing, lounging, etc. We met friends from Indiana at this resort and they too said it was the nicest place they'd visited, and we have all travelled a fair bit! We liked this TRS Coral so much that we would definitely consider going again. Taking the boat on the lazy river to dinner at the Gran [... read more]d Palladium was a fun little extra touch. The show at CHIC Cabaret was well worth the small additional ticket price. Staff were, without exception, excellent. Five Stars across the board from us!!

Smart Cancun By Oasis: There Feb 24/23 to March 3/23

Overall, good hotel. Walking in, it’s a very run of the mill small hotel lobby, clean and had a beautiful smell. Staff was pleasant but we were taken by surprise by the $50 U.S. hotel fee. At first, the rooms look nice but the bare basics as far as cleaning was done. Mirrors were dirty, swing out mirror was filthy, bad smell in the mini fridge but the floors, washroom and bed were acceptable. NO BALCONY ON THE 4th, 5th and 6th floors-(only on 2nd and 3rd). I feel the cleaning staff have their  [... read more]hands full because they do start cleaning mid morning and are still cleaning early evening... (I do believe it’s just one housekeeper per floor). Pool area: probably one of the prettiest most comfy spots I’ve ever come across. Beautifully done and clean! This hotel is close to everything and perfectly located being close to Costco, Walmart, a great market across the street. We made our own meals, which was great. 12 pesos gets you to the beach (roughly 2.6 km from the hotel) and 12 pesos back. Unbeatable location and great price! Had a very relaxing time and may very well go back!

Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: Fantastic week!

The resort met all our expectations. Lots of amenities for families was the main draw for us. We stayed at a similar resort last year in DR and our family really enjoyed the Lazy River and mini putt there. When booking this trip finding those offerings, in our preferred destination Mexico proved challenging. Planet Hollywood was a solid choice and I’d recommend to anyone looking for similar and who plan on relaxing at the resort and having things to do without leaving the resort. We†[... read more]™ve been travelling for more than 20 years and the “tier” systems at resorts are more prevalent than ever before. We did not book Star Class, and were satisfied with the service and offerings, however the color of your bracelet was noted. We were on vacation, and weren’t in a rush to be seated, and weren’t requiring “top shelf” alcohol. If this sounds like something you require, I would recommend upgrading to avoid disappointment. We did pre-select our room and received the one we paid for. That is a nice option if you don’t want to roll the dice on the location of your room. Our transfers with Sunwing were smooth and efficient. No complaints whatsoever. The resort location in relation to “Cancun strip” is quite a trek. We’ve stayed all over the strip and in the Riveria. If you want to see the ruins, or go out to clubs I wouldn’t stay in this area personally. There are so many resorts being built/newly constructed nearby that look amazing in this area. The beach was very large and they regularly cleaned up any sargasso that came in. The wind the week we were there was very strong, one day the resort required all the shade umbrella to be kept closed for safety. I’m not sure if that is the normal for this area, but that day no one was on the beach because the sand was literally blowing! The food offerings were very good, the buffet was better than most resorts in terms of variety and quality. The burgers, pizza take out, and sports bar made up for that for us, but may not for everyone. We’d return next week (wishful thinking), next month, or next year!

Le Blanc Spa Resort: First Class Service

What stands out is the service. They obviously spend a lot of time on the recruitment and training of there employees as they are the best of the best. I was disappointed that the rooms ( Ryl oceanfront honeymoon) do not have balconies as this is very unusual of any other resort I have stayed. I was also surprised that there was only one sink making it awkward for two people getting ready. I read on a FB site I followed that many people thought the food was the best they have had. I go to a lot  [... read more]of restaurants and the food was the best of any all-inclusive we have stayed but not as good as a top restaurant. We found the French and Japanese the best. I was disappointed in the Italian and Blanc for dinner. The Blanc breakfast and lunch buffet was real good. A good selection and everything kept impeccable clean. The towel game was played here the most of any resort I have been at. If you want a chair around the main pool you have to get there by 6:30am. The staff are saving the chairs. There has to be a better way. All in all, we really liked the resort however we paid more than twice the price of other 5-star resorts, and I do not think that it warranted that much extra.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Mediocre resort

From the check-in to check-out it wasn't the best place I've stayed. Started with the 1 1/2 hours just to check in cause they only had 2 people on the desk. Process was painfully slow and very frustrating. Got to our room, wanted to shower after a long day only to find no towels in the room. A theme repeated on a daily basis. Housekeeping would take the towels but never leave fresh towels in the room. Floor hadn't been swept during the entire stay. Mini fridge was not filled at all without being requested when told it would be filled every 2 days Entertainment: nightly shows were extraordinarily poor. No thought it seemed given to actually entertaining anyone and not worth watching. Restaurants: definitely not the best. Only one had food that was any good, very disappointing to say the least. Haven Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort!

This resort was first class from the moment we arrived. It was quiet and peaceful, never feeling crowded. We were able to go to both the beach and the pool at anytime of a day and get a lounge/cabana. The staff were wonderful. We would highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing vacation. However there was always lots available if you are looking for things to do.

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Hotel was phenomenal. Trip there, excursion, and trip home, not so much

Beautiful resort. Tons of dining options. Pools were fantastic. SUPER clean resort from the rooms to the common areas. Lots of events for adults and kids with plenty to occupy both. Service was excellent and check and and check out were easy.

Temptation Resort & Spa: Vibrant resort

To enjoy it 100% you will need to be a member. Because it was my first time and with my purple bracelet I got a outdated room, couldn't get some drinks (only reserved to member) and some area which I understand. But I think the drink part was a little too much mostly our drink were really cheap. Other than that I loved it (Food was great) and the party was good. I will probably go back one day when we are ready to become members to have a different experience.
