Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great stay at Sunscape

Everything in this resort was fantastic from the beach to the food and the food to the pool. Everything was very enjoyable. Wifi was a little hard to get but besides that Sunscape was fantastic! Would absolutely go again!

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Fabulous Resort!!!

This was our first time in Dominican Republic and we stayed at the Majestic Colonial Resort in Punta Cana. We loved it! We stayed in the Adult section Junior Jacuzzi with butler service and highly recommend this! Room service was great, we had BBQ chicken pizza late one night. It arrived on time and was hot, flavor truly memorable!!! The adult only pools were very clean and lots of lounge chairs. The grounds were beautiful and very well cared for. The reception area was impressive with a pia [... read more]no bar, a huge staircase, an elevator and lots of seating on both levels. The food was delicious and lots of choices at the Restaurant "Supreme" Buffet, with different themes some evenings. We particularly enjoyed the Restaurant Ma+suri' featuring oriental and Japanese food. The Steakhouse, seafood restaurants were also very good. The staff very friendly. The beach area and sand was absolutely lovely. I went into the ocean every day and enjoyed the waves as there was always a breeze, so it never felt too hot. There was a clinic on site with a Doctor available 24/7. Thankfully we did not need to use this service. There was lots of entertainment and you could dance all evening or sit in the spacious seating areas and enjoy a drink... The Pina Colada with spiced rum and a sprinkle of cinnamon was my favourite. The 'Majestica" and 'Dirty Monkey" were close seconds and hold great memories of a special vacation.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Awesome

The resort was amazing, service was top notch. We had a luxury/standard room which was fine as we were hardly in it. Yes the shower leaked but a towel on the floor solved the issue. Pools and drinks were great. There was something for everyone. The burgers were the best ever. Some windy days there was above average seaweed but the tractor did its best to clean up. Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Nice Getaway

The beach has limited space and is dirty at times. The nice areas are mostly reserved for VIP's. The service was very good and the people working at the resort were nice. The rooms were clean. The resort is build on a hillside and there are a lot of stairs to get to the beach if you are staying close to the main lobby. The food was good.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Good 14 day stay

The resort was well thought out; with building locations, pathways, covered walk ways, landscaping and restaurant locations. The staff are great and the entertainment staff put a great deal of effort to entertaining their guests. The food was good; especially the variety of fish. The beach is class 1. Communication of daily activities was lacking. Most resorts have notice boards detailing each days activities or special events. Occidental Punta Cana: Second time at the resort

Grounds well kept, clean, service could use some improvements, room was large, but need some work (paint, cracks in the walls, bathroom shower not working properly, sink not draining small thing that needs to be address, fridge not filled every day had to call front desk everyday day having said that they did come and replenish the fridge and the front desk did the follow up witch was nice but why not fill the fridge at the first place and there would be no need to call and give the custom [... read more]er good feeling and satisfaction Front desk staff this time around was good and spoke English well enough to communicate with Food could use little improvement as well and variety not too many choices to pick from Overall it was a decent stay as it was our second stay at this resort we might consider other options next time

Coral Costa Caribe: Worth to go once!

Really enjoyed my stay there. Was not sure at my first night, but I will recommand it for the staff, the food and discotheque. Little problem, not enough place at the buffet, lot of table I reserved for VIP. It s close to a 4 stars, VIP are going to 5 stars or diamond club. Long beaches but you should not swim far, coral and sand banks drop quick. But there is boue. Small safe resort.

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: Peaceful, tranquil paradise

Beautiful hotel,grounds and beach. Plenty of options for dining Rooms are spacious and well appointed Excellent service Beach is clean and sandy, great for swimming Concierge service is efficient and great for making reservations

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: PUJ BARCELO Bavaro Beach Resort

Our Vacation at the Barcel Bavaro Beach Resort was amazingly Awesome. Adults only. Rooms were spacious with one heck of a Super size King plus bed. Lots of storage space to unpack like you were at home. Our maid service was Fantastic We were greeted everyday with a beautiful smile, Beer, pop, juice, Water, chips, snacks were topped up daily. Guest Service was absolutely on top of all your needs/concerns. There were info boards, computers. Internet you had to buy The Gift Shop was Small. But the Market on the Beach is Humungous. Easy to bargain. Water Sports was HUGE. OCEAN FRONT WAS CLEAN. ENTERTAINMENT WAS ALL DAY LONG. THE NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT SHOWS WERE VERY COLORFUL. VERY TALLENTED People WALKING THE GARDENS I CAME ACROSS PEACOCKS. THE YARD WORKER GAVE ME PEANUTS THE BIRDS ATE OUT IF MY HAND. THERE WAS A TRAIN THAT RAN EVERY 10 MUNUTES FROM MORNING TILL 3am. The Buffet was huge with a great variety. I sampled foods I thought I’d never eat. Cooked to perfection. The pools were very spacious and well maintained. I cannot comment on the excursions. I focused on much needed relaxation at the Beach and Pools The Palace Hotel next door was Humongous... with so many stores. A Casino, AMAZINGLY BIG. THE BEACH HOTEL NEXT TO THE PALACE HAD A LOT OF ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN. A PIRATE WATER PARK. IF YOU WANT TO TRY ANY OF THE CULTURAL RESTAURANTS IN THE PALACE YOU COULD BUT HAD TO PAY IF YOU WERE NOT STAYING THERE. WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE THEY ALSO HAVE A CASINO OPENED 24 HOURS. BUS RIDE FROM AIRPORT 17 MINUTES AWESOMENESS AIRCONDITIONING WORKED WELL I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESORT IN PUNTA CANA IT WAS PEACEFUL AND NOT SO BUSY AS THE OTHERS WERE. THE STAFF WORK SO HARD

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Great vacation

Our vacation at the Senator was superb. The staff first and foremost are friendly, attentive and genuinely do what they can to make sure your needs are met. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the resort. The food was tasty and there was always an ample selection. I believe it was the first vacation when I wasn’t eager to get home to my own bed. New mattresses and oh so comfortable. Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: The Perfect Hideaway

My husband and I plan to return to the Royalton Hideaway after spending a wonderful week at this resort..We loved that everything was easily assessable and close by to the beach,swimming pool and restaurants.The rooms although not huge were clean,and efficient with very comfortable beds.Bathrooms on the small side. The restaurants were excellent with terrific service.The grounds were beautiful and above all the people working at the Royalton Hideaway were friendly,helpful and caring. The only downside to the resort like all others is the fact that we had to get up at a ridiculous hour to save a beach palapa for the day.There needs to be more availablility or a different and fair system.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Excellent Resort

The resort exceeded all expectations. Staff were wonderful, very pleasant and attentive. Rooms and grounds were very well kept. Food was excellent. Beach was beautiful. Entertainment crew was amazing. Wonderful resort to visit.

Playabachata Hotel: Great resort for the price

The rooms were spacious, and loved the large covered balcony. Room included bathtub and hairdryer, mini bar and large closet. Large keys to carry and no swipe cards for room entry. The shows were entertaining and varied from Side 1 or 2 and Senator. Wi-fi was off and on in lobby but always got reception on the Senator side. Iced coffee, crepe, ice cream, pizza excellent on Senator portion- all free. Large entertainment stage and plenty of seats. Pool had humorous games at 4, lots of loung [... read more]ers- no need to save them. Beach was long and beautiful. Kayaking choose single or doubles. Stand up paddle boats or for $25 try windsurfing/lesson. Food was good and always had a fresh pasta centre. Disappointed in Steak a la carte restaurant. No steak and food not that appealing. Definitely pass on that, as buffet more yummy. Bring WATER SHOES as beach water has much coral- up and down floor. Bring Snorkeling gear, as you can see fish, take some bread and they'll swarm around you. and float above coral. Otherwise too dangerous to swim without water shoes. Check in was fast as with check out. Found it was cheaper to buy excursion from home in Canada then to buy there for USD + exchange rate. Free safe usage and umbrella in rooms. Weather was excellent 28-30 degrees daily. Ride from airport about 45min. If you want a 5* then pay the extra money, but for around $1000 is awesome.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: great resort

The hotel rooms were very clean and well maintained. The food was very good with lots of choices. The Italian restaurant was very nice. The steak house while the food was good the service was not. Hard time getting what you wanted and long waits for your order to be taken. The pool area was good but could use more chairs. I realize that this resort has been renovated and some things need to be fine tuned. The staff work very hard and try to please but there is not enough of them. They do [... read more]n't have time to come back and check if everything is okay or if you need anything. This is not their fault they are just to busy. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this resort to our friends. It was very clean and beautiful.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort

This was our 5th time to the Majestic resorts in Punta Cana. We had an amazing time and Loved every minute. They have an incredible staff who really make sure that your vacation is the best. Don't think about it, just go.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Grand Bahia Principe San Juan... perfect

This resort was fantastic. The grounds were immaculate, the food was terrific with a huge variety. Try the crepes with chocolate sauce! Roast beef, turkey, pork... and fish to die for. Great place for all ages from kids to the older folks. Service and staff were friendly and helpful. The resort was not huge which was nice. No trolleys needed. Pools were clean and the drinks... try the coco loco! I'm going back in the fall for sure.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Wonderful 2 weeks

The staff were amazing the Entertainment Team always full of energy. Could use more variety from day to day in buffet selections, but the food was very good. Having the mall within walking distance was great fo r those items you forgot or souvenir shopping.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Average resort

Fairly nice resort for the price Animation staff was amazing Restaurants were very good. Not like other resorts where bar staff would serve you drinks - pretty much had to go to bar to get drinks yourself. Requested a room that wasn't on ground floor but they could not accommodate us and bathroom ended up flooding on our last full day there and we had to move to another room. All in all good value for the price

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Leaves somethings to be desired.

First of all, let me list the positives of this resort. It’s beautifully maintained with wonderfully modern features. The pool was close to the ocean and provided lots of fun times for the kids. The staff were amazing. Kind and happy, couldn’t ask for more there. The Nickelodeon theme wasn’t over the top in your face either which is nice HOWEVER 1. The food was mediocre at best. My husband and friend got incredibly sick (like projectile vomiting for 6+ hours) after eating a pasta meat sauce that had been sitting for who knows how long. My husband had to go on antibiotics when we got home. On the last day we talked to multiple other people who got sick too. 3. The childcare is closed from 5-7pm - which is dinner time. my husband and I would of liked to have dinner alone 1 or 2 times. It’s open from 7-9 which is bedtime for many kids. Very strange. 4. The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets scratchy, which is pretty minor in the end. If my husband hadn’t been SO sick I would recommend this resort.

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Had a great time!

We took our 9 year old daughter with us and she absolutely loved the place. Newly renovated hotel, water park was awesome! Shows were pretty good, food was good and rooms were clean. Lots of entertainment during the day for kids as well. We were right beside janitors room so it was pretty loud in am, lots of banging around. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and we would go back!
