Caribe Deluxe Princess: Worst resort ever!

Sewage odours unbearable everywhere, in the rooms, the restaraunt , in the shower water. Rooms were dirty, shower walls covered in film like they had never been cleaned. Air conditioner leaking on floor, reported twice never looked at. Balcony doors almost impossible to open, also reported. Only one chair on balcony for a couple, do we take turns sitting outside? Towels only changed every other day, but they folded one dirty towel into a lovely swan, what a shock when I opened it thinking it [... read more] was clean and it was still wet from morning shower. Granddaughter (in next room) asked for a towel and after an hour she asked again so the maid unlocked our door and let her go in and take one of ours. That maid had no business letting anyone in our room. Only spanish speaking employees there, even in the lobby. It was very difficult trying to tell them anything. In the resaraunts they looked after everyone who spoke spanish first and left us english speaking people to the last. All the activities were in spanish so we couldnt participate in any of them. The food was terrible in the buffet and the ala carte restaraunts. We paid for a wifi modem but didn't get a charger with it had to use granddaughters cell phone charger, not very convenient since we were in different rooms. Last but not least, who in their right mind steals underwear from someone's luggage. I had six pairs of brand new ones and now only have two of them.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Excellent Resort

Bahia Principe Esmeralda is an excellent family resort. Very quiet, clean, access to other resort within Don Pablo complex, very close to the beach and swimpools. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help you. The food is very good with lots of choices to choose.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great

It was pretty good, the rooms were kept up with and the staff was extremely friendly. The a la cartes were also amazing especially the sushi/ Japanese one it's a must try if you go. Great time great!!!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Amazing resort, but badly run

Amazing resort on a nice beach, but very poorly managed and run. During my family's stay, the welcome team were very rude and unhelpful. The resort was over occupied and under staffed which made everything harder We often had to line up and wait for plates, cups , food and service in general which was very slow We were dropped off in a schetcy lobby and asked to leave our lauguge there because check in is not till 4 pm. (Not what is expected) Bought the internet package for the. Week , it  [... read more]was a waste of money the internet is so weak and rarely connects. Rooms don't get cleaned daily and you're only allowed one towel per person. Piña colada, was the biggest disappointment at be live The main lobby has a bar that only services VIP ( no this was not cool). Had to pay for my coffee every time because I was not a VIP ( not empressed) We have been to be live in Purta plata and we were thinking this would be if not the same may be better, we thought wrong At this time I would hate for anyone to have an experience like mine.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Excellent Resort

Beautiful property for adults only. Well-managed resort with courteous staff. The rooms are slightly dated but generally clean and the property is well-maintained with beautiful grounds. The food is good with ample choice. There is a very nice open-air bar in the pool area with sofa seating that gives onto a small stage where in the evening they play live mellow music. The beach is very nice and there is the added suprise of a pristine sandbar that you can walk for several hundred feet out into  [... read more]the ocean without being more than waist-deep : the water there is crystal clear. If you're single this resort is likely to be too subdued for you, unless you're looking to relax in peace. But for couples or groups who want value at a solid 4-Star then I fully endorse this all-inclusive.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Best vacation spot!!

The Bavero Princess resort in Punta Cana was just perfect! We enjoy this resort with all it had to offer. The Platinum package was well worth the extra you pay. Our travel time between our room,beach,restaurants and,platinum lounge was maybe 2-3 minutes. The pool iss beautiful but,its very hard to not leave the beach! White sand for miles , breeze's ,a server to take your drink orders as you lay and,relax in the beauty of this resort. Our housekeeper was so good to us as well ,we were in 775 close to the beach.We went here from December 9 to the 16,t he weather is perfect,warm with cool breeze's on the beach. Our check in was with Magdeline and,she was the best. One of the servers in the resort a young man named Derric we would notice going out of his way to assist anyone he could,so nice😃. All the staff were wonderful with us as well. We would recommend this resort to everyone ,we can't wait to go back for our 2 visit. Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Good resort

Hotel grounds, food were good. Hotel more geared towards younger children. Entertainment could of been better instead of always dancing maybe have comedy and get people in audience to interact. Story time should hv a different story every night for 2 week period that way kids have a variety.

Beautiful resort and grounds Had a great time Entertainment could have been better, but we still had a great time Restaurants were very nice, and clean The resort was very well kept, the staff were a pleasure to be around always happy and helpful. We loved the birds that were all around the resort

Grand Bavaro Princess: Christmas in Punta Cana!

This is our 2nd trip booked for the Bavaro Princess. Bernice at Tripcentral was amazing with the her service and patience with me while booking our big family vacation! Thank you Bernice! We couldn't have done it without you! The resort was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure our comfort! Our little guy was not feeling well and she went out of her way to ensure he was comfortable and had what he needed. Jose and Perez at the VIP Beach Bar were amazing! Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Nice resort

The Resort and the beach was nice but the food wasn't the greatest, every buffet had the same food every day of the week.The night entertainment wasn't too good also....and when there was entertainment it was all in Spanish , not much for teenagers to do in the evening. There was no variety of different beers at the bars, always the same kind of beer...

Grand Bavaro Princess: Wonderful Experience

When I arrived at the hotel I immediately was impressed by the lobby. The aquatic garden along with the high ceilings made the initial arrival to the hotel feel welcoming and tropical. Unfortunately there was a flood which made travel to and from the room a little harder but was not an issue as the hotel provided transportation to cross the water. Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Beautiful Resort

We loved this resort. We were unlucky that the weather was rainy for several days, but the resort was lovely and the food was excellent. The staff worked very hard to make our stay and the entertainment was fantastic

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Goog and not so good.

This was our first visit at Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Green. We were always going to other Punta Cana Resort and decide to check something new. The resort is very nice maintained. Many trees and green bushes around. This resort is one of many Bahia Principe resorts, and there is no separation between them which did not make us comfortable. The food was good, but not enough staff, so we have to wait in line before each meal. When we get inside the table was clean but not really ready, missi [... read more]ng forks, napkins, no coffee in the morning, (after asking few times finely get one, which taste bad-so did not try anymore). Rooms are quite big. The balcony door did not lock, and because we stayed in the ground floor we really did not like it. After complaining, they fix it, but it was only close until we open it again, so we gave up. The hairdryer work few second and turn off, and again few second and turn off, so I had to spend long time drying my hair lackey short one. We are not going back to this resort for sure.

Riu Republica: Was it worth the price?

My man and I went on our annual vacation down south. This year we tried an adults only hotel. It’s called the Riu Republica in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I was told it just opened in June. Was there enough activities? Yes. The entertainers had games for everyone, BUT…they were too long to wait to play them. They would try to get 10 to 20+ people to sign up. So, if anyone from resorts are reading this, can you please do a max of 10 people. While we want to play, we also want to enjoy the sun. There was a fun game called Slip and slide that the tourists decided to do. They used one of the tables in the pool, added TONS of water to it and encouraged everyone to get on. Well, most of us did and it was a blast. I did hear though of someone tearing out their belly button ring because there was groves in the table. 2 days during the week they had a foam party. They played great dance, rock, and some country music. So, that was great. What was the room like? One word…HUGE!!! We had a king size bed…OMG, I loved having my own side of the bed. I would have to roll over 3 times just to get close to him. So, you can imagine how amazing my sleep was.lol There was plenty of water bottles, alcohol, beers in the fridge, towels and pillows. However, constant humming outside. We were facing east, which was what we wanted because we wanted sun in the morning. However, we couldn’t sit out there because the noise actually hurt our ears. There was some sort of machine outside that was constantly running. It never turned off. What was the weather like? That’s the interesting part. It rained every morning, but would stop around 7:30, and at least 2 times during the week in the afternoon. What about the food and drinks? OK, so here’s where I’m a bit disappointed. There was 1 buffet, a snack place, and 3 restaurants we could eat at. The buffet had good food and quite a variety, but the restaurants all had buffet too and not open every day. Only the steak house had sit down menu that you chose from. Everywhere else was buffet. I really wanted a sit down dinner and something different. After all, that’s what it said was provided in the description. The drinks were good. We had beer most of the time, and mimosa in the morning. One of the bar guys Leornardo made wonderful dry vodka martini’s with LOTS of olives for us. One girl at the pool gave me a shot with coffee cream and chocolate sauce…OMG, that was tasty. We tried the Mama Juana. YACK!!! That stuff will grow hair on your chest, even if you’re a woman! What about the beach? Ah yes the beach. The beach was soft and easy to walk on. With the crazy weather i.e. wind and rain it was hard, but we walked 40 minutes each way. We saw the Hard Rock hotel that we walked in to see. It’s HUGE. Not a place for him and I. We like smaller and more outside. This hotel felt like it was a shopping mall. It’s good for some people, but not for us. So, would you go back? We paid over $3600 for the 2 of us. It was fun, we met some very nice people, and there were no kids. So, would we go there again? No! The prices doesn’t make up the difference for things that are important to me like restaurants, quiet time while sitting on the balcony. Last year we stayed at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana and it was 2 times the size and cost us $2400. Oh and there was no one selling local artifacts which we liked to see during the week.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice Resort

Resort was clean and well kept. Food was good. Service was good most of the time. Main complaint was that we had trouble getting new clean beach towels. Sometimes had to wait for hours. Room cleaning was not consistent - sometimes we didn't get wash cloths, sometimes we didn't get pillow cases on our pillows. Resort is very large so you have to take a shuttle to everything. Beach was very nice and cleaned every day.

TRS Turquesa: Superbe location, beautiful beach

Jennifer was extremely helpful in our decision making. We couldn't decide which resort to stay in and were getting side tracked by all the TripAdvisor reviews (from poor to excellent) So it was nice to talk with an actual person, and get an opinion from a professional. She was a joy to talk with, and was very quick to reply when I had follow up questions. First time in Dominican Republic for me, great experience. Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great Resort with some disappointment

The resort was fantastic with the exception of the food at the buffet. Not much care in preparation or selection at times. Greatly disappointed with the selection in fresh fruit and vegetables. However we had the best concierge Kelly Herrera in our building. Catered to any of our concerns and requests. We've made a friend for life. We stayed in building 8.The bartender Ramone gave the best attention to our teenage boys and made sure they too had a great time. Grand Palladium Palace: Terrible Flight

Flight time was 8AM- we arrived at the airport at 5:20AM, completed check in, waited till 8AM, no boarding, no such announcement, so, we all had to be at the gate without going anywhere inside of the airport- at 8:10AM, the flight time changed to 11:45AM- again, no explanation. We waited till 11:45AM- no boarding at all- and around Noon- they started to board all passengers- and we had to wait inside of the flight till 1:40PM- NO Food- had to buy poor flight breakfast options to feed family.  [... read more] Flight attendants were very grumpy as they also were called to work on their own day offs. Understand the circumstances. However, we arrived to the hotel around 8PM (current time)- it was just tired, hungry, lost one day of the vacation. My mother got sick as spending too much of unexpected day- could not eat any food, and just stayed at the hotel room- hotel room did not have any sun gets into the room, smell like Fungus, phone/ security box not working- asked to fix them at the front desk couple of times, no one speaks proper English. Staffs were extremely nice/ very impressed by staffs- very clean- nice food- staffs were cleaning - tidy things up so well.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: nice resort, unbeatable beach

this was our second time to the Barceló Bavaro Palace in 1 year and it did not disappoint. Resort is fairly big, but is well situated, so nothing is too far. they have a cute train going around the resort, which my kids loved. the grounds are extremely well maintained, but for me the beach is the biggest draw. wide, powdery sand, and tons of free chairs at all times. I have been to many different 4+ resorts all  [... read more]over the Caribbean and would say this one is best all around. my only negative comment would be the air transat tour guide was very pushy on trying to sell us tours, and failed to do the one thing we needed from him which is to tell us the bus pick up time on way back. So 2 groups were given the wrong time and missed our bus as a result, but thankfully another transat bus came and ended up taking us to the airport. So I'd say air transat can work on improving the transfer to/from airport, too much time wasted on both ends for what is a 15 min ride.
