Muthu Playa Varadero: Party of a lifetime!!!

What a great time. Weather couldn't have been better. Beaches were amazing and felt like they were endless. Now let's get to the good stuff. I've been to a couple all inclusive including Mexico, Dominican, and other resorts like Bahamas and Orlando. But the staff at this resort was top notch. Always welcoming, smiling, joking around but most important polite. The one day I spent almost the whole day just chilling with the staff on their down times. They told us all the best places  [... read more]to go off resort for food and clubs. Couldn't walk in any part of the resort without talking to one of them. Food was my only downfall but no different from any place I've been and I know it's a lot harder for them to get certain foods so it was understandable. Wasn't the worst I've had. Overall meet probably 30 or more people we had dinners with and drinks with. Disco was always a good time. And met some friends for life. If you want to relax it's easy to chill on the beach or at the pool as well. Couldn't have asked for a better time.

Grand Memories Varadero: Not bad

The resort was ok. Pool was never cleaned . Food was good pasta bar great n our egg lady for breakfast. The kitchen staff did not have the right utensils to cook with. Late check out is expensive n we had two children under 4 with us and a 85 year old grama

Hotel Los Cactus: Great resort

Very friendly, accommodating staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Beach goes on forever. Large selection at buffet, many other options with private restaurants and beach bbq. Food is not as at home but its Cuba. A few minor problems with room. They were quick to respond.

Roc Barlovento: Awesome Resort

The hotel staff is always friendly, and helpful. The rooms and grounds are always clean, and the food is good. Always found something to eat. The resort is located close to downtown Varadero, and a short walk will take you to the market. Always a pleasure to return to this resort, to see friends.

Memories Jibacoa: Just Okay Now

This was our second time at this resort. We had a good time but probably won't be back. The first time was 2004 when it was Breezes. We definitely liked it better as Breezes. We like the location, the layout is small and easy to get around. Overall, the staff are helpful and friendly. Some of the same staff from 2004 are still there. Management didn't acknowledge or reply to my 2 emails I sent regarding our anniversary, so that was a bit annoying. The demographics have changed and for us in our  [... read more]late 40's, we felt very young there. I was told that some UK travel agencies sell this as a seniors resort. Only a handful of people under 40 during our week and tons over 65, 75 even 85. With that said, when the disco was open, they played American Rap music...? Some salsa, pop or rock would have been nice, hence the disco was empty and closed early on the nights it actually opened. I know the a/c is broken, but my group would have danced to some good music. The old head chef from Jamaica (Breezes) had amazing food and tons of variety. This time, the buffet had pretty much the same food every day at lunch and dinner with almost no variety. We go to Cuba quite often and this was bad even by Cuba standards. The a la carte restaurants were a bit of a step above the buffet. Some upkeep needs to be done, some minor renovations are in order. Overall a nice stay, but not a memorable vacation like when it was Breezes. For the discounted price we paid, we were happy, but I wouldn't pay the rack rate here anymore.

Palma Real: Really great time

I have been to Cuba many times but never to Veradero. This trip I was travelling with my daughters 34, 22 and 20. I was pleasantly surprised by the resort and the surrounding area. The room was clean and the a/c worked! The building itself, we were in # 4 was in a bit of disrepair, but hey that shows they are working at making it better right? Whe [... read more]n we visited there were two a la cartes open. Not sure if there are more. The Italian was really great!! The pizza was thin crust, fresh ingredients and so good!! The international was just ok, nothing special. You are a very short walk into town, the Beatles Bar and the Havana Club bar. You can also walk downtown and see many shops, restaurants and an outdoor shopping mall. The beach is a short walk across the road and has it's own bar with washrooms close by. The drinks were ok, typical Cuban. The coffee in the buffet in the morning was excellent. I found all the staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend you visit this hotel!

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: excellent resort

An excellent Resort ...very refreshing and comfortable location.Well organized trip and arranged buses.Will definitely visit again and recommend others to visit. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. So Well connected.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: TIME TO OPEN THE DOOR!!!!

Residence are ok with the exception of the rooms that are not well cleaned and the towels and linen are old. Maintenance for the place are not properly done especially lightning around the compound are mostly neglected.

Melia Las Antillas: Great Resort

Overall, this hotel met our needs for a quiet 5 day getaway. The grounds are very pretty with so many healthy palm trees and well lit paths. The surrounding mote is kind of neat with the fish and shark (yes, shark). It gets a little smelly at times, but doesn't last long (sulphur smell). The layout is great and lots of chairs and shade around the pool. The room was spacious and always kept very clean, but the bathroom fixtures could use some updating. The bathtub with shower curtain was mo [... read more]st annoying since the curtain was mounted too close to the shower head, so impossible to keep the curtain from touching my body. The service in the bars and buffet restaurant was top notch. We didn't partake in any a la carts, so can't comment on those. Never once felt the need to tip, and when I did tip it was acknowledged with great appreciation. Lots of selection in the buffet, with a cheese and deli meat table, breads, veggie salads, pickled salads and cold seafood. There was a pasta station, pizza station, fish grill, and carving station, plus many hot food choices. Outside was another grilling station for beef, chicken, turkey and pork. The beach is fantastic and the water was very warm this time of year. Only complaint here would be that the 'beach bar' isn't actually on the beach - it's up in behind some trees between the resort and the beach.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Beautiful resort

I was at Melia Peninsula from Oct 7 to 14 2016. The resort was spoteless, beautiful and with one of the nicest staff I have ever met. The beaches was not the nicest since there a bank of sand, I much rather have flat beaches. The food was excellent, but a bit of the same everyday but never the less very good!! One thing kinda bother me on my last day..as I was checking out at noon on Friday, I ask to keep my beach towel til maybe 3:30- 4:00pm to use the pool since I wasn't being pick up at the  [... read more]hotel before 6:30....but to be able to keep my towel I had to surrender my passeport to the front desk..i was surprise the hotel would have such policy..you NEVER surrender your passport and any time. Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing Time

The hotel was amazing. Very well kept together. The only thing was that our room had bad air conditioning and a horrible smell coming out of the air conditioning. The food was an 8/10. The staff was a 10/10. Wifi you have to pay 2 pesos for an hour. Go out into the city to the club strip one night. It's a lot of fun. Pool bar is the best place to hang. The beach was phenomenal and beautiful. Drinks were amazing. We did the jeep excursion which was $100 Canadian. It wasn't worth paying that much  [... read more]and I definately would've done something else but oh well. Overall, beautiful resort.

Club Kawama: Repeater

I just arrived home on Saturday October 15 th...this was my 10 th time to Club Kawama in the last 3 years. I have gone in different months and each time I find the same friendly staff I call my family. The effort that is made by the management, security, front desk, bartenders , maids and wait staff to make my stay memorable is just that...we are all on first name basis.

Hotel Los Cactus: Awesome place and people resort for relaxing and having fun.

the resort was very clean and the food was very good. big rooms and plenty to do around the resort. place to see and do things. the beach very clean and the water warm and clear. the people ready to do anything for you to make your stay a happy and full of fun.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Great Resort!

Our family had a wonderful, relaxing and fun time at Iberostar Varadero! The grounds were beautifully landscaped with lots of deck space and swimming areas. Our family enjoyed time at beach, daily entertainment and activities such as salsa dancing, water polo, volleyball and much more! The nightly entertainment shows were fantastic! Very friendly staff and great service!

Starfish Jibacoa: Love it!

Second time there this year. Love it. Low key, cost effective resort. Food is ok, alcohol is good, staff fantastic. Grounds and beach are stunning. We will be back! If you are looking for a relaxing vacation...this is the spot

Hotel Los Cactus: A must return

Absolutly beautiful grounds. Great beach great staff nice room and services We would go back again. The food was ok lots of choices but not enough fresh vegetables. No lettuces. We had only 2days on the beach swimming because the waves were too high. We really appreciated the security. Love the town.

Roc Arenas Doradas: Awesome! Would definitely go back!

We spent five days at this resort and we really enjoyed ourselves. For what we paid we were very satisfied. The beaches are beautiful, the pool is awesome, always some sort of entertainment, in the pool during the day and shows at night. The only complaint we had for our trip was the food. It was pretty average for Cuba so we knew what to expect but the buffet was usually cold. The restaurants were much better though. We would definitely go back!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: amazing hotel!!!

very beautiful hotel, all inclusive, pools are big - there is a bar inside the pool you can order drinks. there is a great beach that belong to the hotel with barband service, we had exercise inside the ocean with the crew members, and a pool party one day. the food is very good, there is a snack bar open 24/7 very nice. in our last day the bus arrive only at 19:00 to the air port, and we didnt feel so good so they give us a room that we can rest although we did check out before. to summary exce [... read more]lent hotel very recomnded!!!

Hotel Los Cactus: We had a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Breezes Varadero. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the grounds were beautiful. We tried out all three a la carte restaurants and we were not disappointed. We would definitely go back and stay with Breezes again in the future!

Melia Las Antillas: Very Nice

Very well located - 15 minutes out of Varadero. Resort is becoming dated but clean and well maintained. Food was over expectations. Staff, as expected, genuinely friendly and cordial. All in all a very pleasant experience.
