Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great Value

This is our second time at this resort and it hasn't disappointed. Very clean, great service and beautiful grounds. Expect about 90 min trip from the airport which is a bit of a drag and eats away a lot of your arrival and departure days.

This resort is GREAT!!!!!! Heather Kalinin and Beatrice Caldwell would stay here again and will be returning in the future. The staff are great very clean. The food too was great we had no complaints at all. Over all we would recommend this resort as a 10 plus. Beatrice Caldwell

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great resort

Really happy with this resort as a whole. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the two issues I had (2 beds for just me instead of 1 bed and a sink drain problem) were addressed right away. The pools and beach were great, and there were different entertaining events every day in the afternoon and evening. I would absolutely go back and I'm recommending this resort to my friends looking for a vacation abroad.

Bahia Principe Grand Samana Roulette: Amazing vacation!

We really enjoyed our week at Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa. The resort is built on a cliff overlooking the bay and the village of Samana. Beautiful views from everywhere you are. We had a room in the main building, with a view overlooking the pool, and the ocean. Our room wasn’t very big, but was clean and had everything we needed. On our arrival, we had a nice welcoming surprise in our room, a bottle of champagne with a a plate of cold cuts, cheese and crackers. Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Fantisia For some

This resort is set up for children. There is plenty of luxury for the adult crow also. The shows at night were lively and full of colourful costumes. However the songs are mostly in Spanish (was understandable)but my grandsons lost interest pretty quick. Was a bit disappointed in the bathrooms as only one had a urinal at kids height. Wyndham Alltra Samana: A true Paradise Resort

My experience at grand paradise samana was phenomal the staff first and foremost are the kindest and friendliest people I have ever met. Their hospitality was purely welcoming. The cleanliness and service of the resort was of the 5 star rating. The authenthic dominican food was flavourful and delicious. The chefs are excellent! I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking to relax in a beautiful, serene and peaceful place with amazing people. It’s worth a travel.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awesome Trip

The hotel was very nice. The food was excellent. Lots of it. You certainly don't starve. People were friendly and very helpful. Although the hotel was huge, it was easy to get around with the help of trolleys taking you to your destination. We had easy access to the beach which was awesome. The lobby was huge and beautifully decorated. Only drawback was that it closed around 11:00. Entertainment is excellent. A fun way to end your evening. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great resort

We found our room to be really nice, they have been recently updated and it shows. They are very clean, in fact, the whole resort is kept very clean. The pool and beach area are great, we were able to find lounge chairs any time of day (even if they were prime spots, they were still available). They lobby area was super nice to hang around and had a nice vibe. We found the manager from morning till night walking around, greeting guests and being available.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Beautiful and humbling experience

Hotel was beautiful, the scenery is amazing and the beach water is clean. The staff are very nice!! They try helping the best they can. Especially the staff at the restaurant, have a very welcoming vibe. Buffet offers good dominican food along with American type food. This is a great hotel for relaxing.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Amazing Beach

Probably the best beach we have ever seen. Resort was nice, but many of the staff had difficulty understanding english. Food good, pool nice and good rooms. Understaffed at the bars, took quite a long time to get drinks. Even though signs said no reserving seats under the palapas, all were taken before 8 a.m.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Would go again!

Loved the room, balcony and poolside. Food overall was excellent, the buffet and all the a la carte restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Corridors outside rooms were not always kept as clean as expected. Very hard to get a lounging chair on the beach or around pools as guests reserve them early.

Bahia Principe Grand Samana Roulette: AMAZING VIEWS

We took the Roulette because it was the best deal and we didn't care where we ended up. We stayed at the Cayocoa resort and it was beautiful. There is lots of stairs and hills but they have little shuttle buses if you need them. We stayed in Villa 10 on the hill and the view was fantastic. Food was very good and the resort was SUPER clean! Staff are friendly and helpful. Only free WIFI in the lobby is a little disappointing. There were some small maintenance issues with our room but they w [... read more]ere fixed very quickly. Five pools and two beach areas made it easy to find a lounge chair without having to get up at 7:00 a.m. (unless you want the main (noisy) pool as that filled up quickly). Highly recommend it.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Good resort

Good food, good service and good rooms. Large resort requires much walking or taking rides on shuttle cars that run regularly. We had an issue with articles of clothing that went missing from our room. Still waiting for report from hotel.

We stayed here the week of Feb 10 to Feb 17. The resort is very big we stayed at the Bahia Principe Punta Cana there is 7 resorts in this complex. Food was excellent was a bit disappointed as we had upgraded bracelets so we could book 4 a la cartes but we only got to go to the Japanese as the others had awful time either too early in the day or late 9:00 9:30 which would mean we would miss the shows. The shows at night were awesome especially the circus and magic show. Beach was wonderful. Rooms [... read more] were well cleaned by staff. Language was a bit of an issue as most of the staff could not understand or speak English they were friendly and tried. Getting around was a bit of a challenge as you could only use trolleys. That said the trolleys were always running so you never had to wait long. Was also kind of disappointed with the lobby as they shut the lights at about 11:00 and no bar service was available. You had to take the trolly to the 24 hour outdoor bar by the beach. Overall it was a great vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: lovely,nice resort

grounds, hotel, rooms, food were all very good. Beautiful location, view of the mountains awesome! lovely beach, and nice for strolling along.Food, lots of choices at each meal! Could have more choices for alcohol, ie. rye whiskey(like Canadian club or something similar).Very well laid out, private pool was an nice added touch! Circus show was amazing!!

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Beautiful resort

Clean resort located within 20 minutes to most everything including the airport and is directly on the beach with 2 huge swimming pools and many restaurants and many bars but no actual swimup bar :( Entertainment crew are so awesome and fun day and night :)

Impressive Punta Cana: SO IMPRESSED WITH THE IMPRESSIVE RESORT

THIS HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN - THE GROUNDS WERE SUPER , ALL IMMACULATE - THE TREES/SHRUBS ALL SO GREEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF - WE GOT UPGRADED TO A PREMIUM ROOM - WHICH WAS NICE - VERY CLEAN - IF WE NEEDED TOWELS THEY GAVE THEM TO US IN 5 MINUTES - ALL O.K. THE BUFFET WAS ALSO VERY IMPRESSIVE - LOTS OF DIFFERENT FOODS - FRUIT /DESSERT TABLES WERE PLENTIFUL - SMOOTHIES ON THE BEACH - LIKED THAT. HOTEL STAFF O.K. - SOME TRIED TO SMILE MORE THAN OTHERS - BATHROOMS ALL CLEAN EVEN ON THE BEACH.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Snorkeler's Paradise

Of the three resorts we have been to in the Dominican Republic this was by far the best. The rooms were more than adequate rivalling some of the 5-star resorts I have been to in Hawaii and the Middle East. The rum was free flowing and the staff amenable. The only problem I had was there was an occasional shortage of water; as is common in any Dominican resort. Another point of note was there were two beach bars open to all resort patron and the pool bar was not a swim up. (Thus I felt more c [... read more]omfortable swimming in the pool) Of particular note was the coral reef that was part of the resort's beach. With the breakers being at the start of the reef, 500 meters offshore, the waters we usually calm and clear enough to snorkel and watch sea life just steps into the water. The vibrant reef continues right up to the breakers if you are brave enough to swim past the boundary buoys. It's a great spot of the novice to expert snorkelers. Highly recommend this beach.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Only Wow!!

currently sold as a 4 stars, they are working hard on becoming a 5 stars i think. it is our third trip in 7 years, our second one in punta cana, the other one was in Mexico and we ate just as good, if not better then in Mexico. 7 years ago we were at Riu Bambou, which was more expensive this year when we checked for the same dates, and this resort was a good step above Rui. Only deception was the Italian, it was ok, but not as good as the japaneese (which we went twice!) the Brazilian nor the tex mex (their steak sauce was awesome!) Clean room, clean hotel in general: i felt like there was a cleaning person sleepin in each public bathroom, as there was always someone around when ever i went. nice beach, lots of chairs ( we didn't have to wake up @ 6 to have a decent spot), good animation and great shows!

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: This was a superb place .

The resort is fantastic , good food , nice rooms, quiet atmosphere. The restaurants are great. The way the resort is built as a very easy access to pool, beach with very close walking distance. The staff is really polite and accommodating. It did nt matter who I ask a question to they were able to help and or bring us to someone who could answer. The only negative thing I can say is that the bars close at midnight and they only have one make up bar with very limited drinks such as rum , rye  [... read more]and soft drink. and they close a 2 am this is located in the buffet area .Not a great atmosphere. They should do the bar near the beach where they have snack during the day and provide both there. That's the only down fall to the place.
