JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Wonderful staff and restaurants

This is the adults only Iberostar hotel in this resort It was a great hotel in its time but since we started staying there it has got "tired" and is showing its age. The staff are very attentive and the choice and quality of food is A1 but there are areas where maintainence is clearly required We had internal room problems which we identified to management every morning and nothing was fixed for the whole week

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Amazing Resort

This resort was beautiful. It was huge and very lush with alot of natural tropical landscape. Lots of wild life on the resort especially iguanas and agouti and coati. It was a very clean resort. Room were very nice and clean.The bed was comfortable. There is alot of walking but I loved that. There were shuttles available but there is still alot of walking. The beach was beautiful with a great swimming area with sand bottom and crystal clear waters. Pools were beautiful with several to choose fro [... read more]m. Food was good with alot of seafood. (not lobster though) The staff were very friendly with great customer service. My only negative is that the evening entertainment shows were not anything special so we did not go. Might be geared more to kids. I would like to see more of the culture, Also, they did not play enough Mexican or spanish music at that resort or at the lounges. Overall we are very pleased with this resort.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Wonderful wonderful resort.

The staff and facility is amazing. The grounds, rooms and restaurants as well as recreation areas and beach are spotless. Cleaned constantly. The food was excellent and plentiful. The best was the friendliness and spirit of all the staff. Thanks Pariso Beach for the memories!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Can't say enough great things about this resort

We travelled to GBP tulum 2 days after the lobby fire. This resort is so large, that unless you were there beforehand, you'd never know there had been a fire. The resort is immaculate, the service exceptional, and the food is the best I've ever had at an all inclusive resort. The beach- clear and beautiful. You can see hundreds of fish within 20 feet of shore without even needing snorkel gear. Overall great experience. Can't wait to go back!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Fabulous Resort

Bahia principe sian ka'an is a fabulous spot to stay when visiting mayan riviera. Staffs were friendly and eager to assist. The resort is situated in the jungle, it is very quiet with beautiful landscaping throughout the entire resort, the resort is beautifully kept and super clean. I would highly recommend this resort and wounder not hesitate to come back for another stay.

As per hotel: WOW! I have never been to an all inclusive resort that had SO much to offer. The service (always right there if you needed that little extra bit of wine etc), room (very spacious and clean), surroundings were all above and beyond expectation. I enjoyed the location so much that I will be returning to this particular Iberostar with family. I have been talking about my surroundings non stop to everyone since I got back. And I haven't touch on everyone yet! Let me expand! The animal life and beautiful plants were everywhere. The flamingos lively colour, the monkeys nest right outside our bedroom window ( we were on the top floor) the lizards basking in the sun by the pool we frequented ( they did not bother a soul and were not intimated when walking right by them or taking a close up pic), the peacocks (did you know they could fly? We did not until one was posing for us on our balcony--did I mention we were on the top floor), the beautiful waterfalls, landscape, numerous birds, and other little "rodents" (can't remember their name) just meandering about. I JUST LOVED BEING THERE!!!!!! For me it was not just basking in the sun/drinking and having a good time (too old for that now I guess) I go for the warmth more than the sun. So you see all the extra nature like activities were for me two holidays in one. The weather was great and I must say I had a very relaxing and most enjoyable week. A great big thank you to whomever is responsible for putting out TRIP TRIVIA and very glad I/we came across your website. Telling my friends about that as well. Grand Riviera Princess: Beautiful resort

Beach- big white sand, always can find a beach chair, some rocks in the water but clear sand bottom in parts Food- just okay. Travelled with a large group and no one got sick. Food was just bland and a bit boring. Instant coffee at the buffet is disappointing but you can get a cappuccino or express at the ice cream parlour. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Bunk beds with third bunk pullout and king bed for parents. Loved the swimout. Great for kids to swim while parents are still trying to get ready. There is a gate on the patio for safety for little ones. Family club facilities-fyi were only available to those staying in family club. Great splash pad with small slides, playground and clean kids club facility for babysitting. Felt safe to leave our kids there for a few hours. Kids under four cannot be left at kids club. Kids loved the pirate buffet for kids and ice cream parlour. Push cars available to sign out for little ones. Received a gift in the room - pirate stuffy and kids slippers if you ask. Grounds- well kept, lush gardens, lots of pools , very clean. Shows and entertainment at night were good

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Wonderful time

We had a wonderful time, the weather was perfect. The food was amazing, the staff at the resort were excellent. Only thing we would like to see is handrails on the stairs for the less able bodied people.

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Grand Palladium Riviera Maya Jan 2017

This was our 2nd time at this Resort. We absolutely love it. The Staff was kind and tentative. Our room was well stocked and clean.The food was very good with lots of variety. We loved swimming to the bar in the pool. We also loved snorkleling in the warm ocean. The beach is sandy and clean. We can't wait to return,

Grand Sunset Princess: Very Nice Resort

Just got back from a week at this resort - very nice. I'm 27 and went with my younger sister and my mom. About an hour drive from Cancun airport. Very big (lots of walking) resort (2 lobbies, 4 buffets, 8 restaurants, big pool in center and smaller long pools in between room buildings and center pool). Spacious bedroom. Food was great! Japanese restaurant was a nice performance. Staff were all friendly and entertainment staff were fun. Beach was nice. We went to Coco Bongo Friday nice - cool nig [... read more]htclub and rope/bungee performance. Nexus staff told us of an extra excursion fee afterwards - so make sure you know what you're buying. As always and everywhere, be safe when leaving the resort and going into Playa del Carmen.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: The Royalton Cancun Riveria exceeding my expectations!

The Royalton is fantastic! The property is modern, clean and beautiful. The service was great and the staff friendly and accommodating. The food in the buffet is the best I have had at an all inclusive and the variety and quality is top notch. Even things like fish carpaccio, sushi and sashimi were so fresh. I loved the adult only Hideaway section with its own pool, beach, bars and restaurant. You have access to the resorts 9 other restaurants and all the pools, bars, night club and ent [... read more]ertainment. The family section also looked great with an amazing water park for the kids. The grounds of the entire resort is beautiful and everything is walkable and close to the beach. There is nothing else immediately around the resort so also very safe. Bonus that it is about 20 minutes from the airport but not too close as to hear planes all day. Our Trip Central Again, Marnie Savic was great. This is the 3rd trip I have booked on Trip Central and the agents are very patient and committed to helping you find exactly what you want. It is one of the best all inclusive resorts I have been to and I would recommend it to everyone with or without kids.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: It was ok

Hotel room had a bad musty oder, we ran out of hot water 3 times, toilet wouldn't flush on a few occasions and had to get someone in to fix the air conditioning. Saw an employees spit on the ground while he was working behind the bar by the pool, and at the 24 hr snack bar the Bartenders would rather be on there phone then serve you. Not a great experience. Would not return

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Beautiful Resort!

I was very impressed with the whole experience there. It was our first all inclusive and everything was perfect! The staff went above for everything we needed and the rooms and grounds were clean and very well kept. I would definitely refer them to friends and family. The only thing which we found difficult was no elevators.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: WOW...amazing vacation at a wonderful resort!

Well, where to start? This resort is wonderful! Great layout, four total different environments, plus the beach. Family and kids pool and area (just walked over to see because we are all adult siblings with spouses and our mother) Next section, just off the lobby is a huge pool used by all ages (weren't many kids though?) Water aerobics were awesome! Big shout out to Augustine for that! Villa Marina Restaurant is right beside this pool, buffet during the day and a la carte restaurant at night. N [... read more]ext section, other side off the lobby is the swim up / party bar. So much fun there! The bartenders (here, and everywhere really) just love to joke around with guests! Lots of fun activities here during the day and at night. Foam Party is on Wednesdays, don't miss it! Other great shows and contests too, some dancing at night around the bar...just great fun! Last section (down by the Privilege Section) is a large pool that anyone can use or sit around, the beach chairs at this area are only for Privilege though. This pool has The Creperie Restaurant by it, only opens for lunch and dinner. This area is quieter, we really liked this pool. One thing to note, when you check in, you will receive a Towel Card. Towel Booth is located by the large pool off the lobby and only opens at 8 am. You give them your card and receive a beach towel, then get out to where you want to sit for the day (pool or beach) and put your towel on a chair to reserve it, do this early. No one will touch it (most of the time) and you can go eat or whatever then come back, maybe leave a small personal item to save it like a sandal or sunscreen. Little tip: when leaving the pool or the beach for the day, go exchange it for a clean towel that you can bring back to your room for the next day. We usually hit the breakfast buffet at 7 am (opens at 6 am but only for Continental breakfast) after putting our towels out to save our chairs. The main buffet is called Casa del Mar and is breakfast buffet, lunch buffet and dinner buffet but is "themed" differently each night. All the A La Carte restaurants are situated beneath the lobby around Casa del Mar. No reservations allowed except for Sensai, which only takes reservations for the day of, starting at 11 am (be there earlier or you'll miss out) The best part of this resort is the staff! Wonderful people everywhere. Shout outs to Nacho our server at Casa del Mar one night, funny and does tricks too! Ricardo our bartender was great by the pool one day! Augustine was my wife's favourite! I liked the girl in the blue bikini that had the Tequila shots in the squeeze bottle (didn't get her name :( ) The staff cleaning the rooms were amazing, always smiling when you pass them, "Hola, morning!" was heard so often. Every second day we got them to do up the room by just taking off the Don Not Disturb sign, and each day we got a different little animal made out of towels! Two swans kissing (it was our 10th wedding anniversary), then a bunny rabbit, and lastly a wonderfully detailed crab...holding the TV remote! haha We tipped fairly often, US $1 bills are best, or maybe $20 pesos for a round of drinks, we chose to leave $2 or $3 US on the pillow for the maids. Didn't tip every single time but with such great service and everything free it was worth it. If you have any pesos left before leaving maybe consider seeking out a grounds worker and reward them for their tireless work keeping this resort so clean and kept up! The beach is nice, sand is made of coral so is always cool and wonderfully fine and soft. Yes, there is seaweed but the tractor goes back and forth constantly cleaning and is a natural part of this ocean area. Walk over it and into the water...feel with your feet for a Conch shell! Definitely do some kind of excursion, we took a taxi to Puerto Morelos and ate at Pelicanos Restaurant on the beach...amazing ceviche and different Mexican beers! Shopped the little Mayan Flea Markets for some souveners. Another day we booked an excursion to snorkel with the sea turtles at Akumel, then walked and swam in the underground Cenotes (Seh-no-tays)...trip not to be missed! All in all, this was an amazing vacation. Myself, my 3 sisters and our spouses along with our mother were able to have the family vacation of a lifetime...don't wait until you miss the opportunity to have the time of your lives! Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: So very disappointed with Sandos Caracol Eco Resort and Spa

We paid for Deluxe suite and got a Standard room first night. They would not give us a Deluxe until we showed them our paperwork. Thank God we took it with us. My husband got food poisoning the very first day. We had no hot water, and the toilets would not flush. Not great with food poisoning. Third day our new unit (we moved from Standard to Deluxe) flooded and we had to use towels to stop it from coming right through the unit. Fifth day flooding again, and asked for a room change. They [... read more] were going to move us to our sons building, but our son's unit flooded also and they had black mold coming down the wall. They took the unit we were to get. That unit turned out to have a spider invasion. One spider was the size of a bread plate and took ten minutes to kill. On the eighth day our grandson (1 and 1/2 years old) got really sick and was taken to the doctors. The buildings we stayed in should have been condemned and would have been if we were in Canada. The wood frames on the doors were rotted and covered with what looked like a plastic paint. The tiles were broken and peaces missing in both the rooms. When the kids moved out of their room because of mold, the painters came in and painted it and rented it out that evening. The food was not good and was the same every day. There was only two places worth eating at, and that was the Meditterean and Steak and sea food restaurant in the new area. Honestly this hotel should not be recommended for families. Yes, there are animals, but other than that you are putting them at risk of disease and health issues if you stay in the older area. The only area worth staying at was the Royal Elite, Time Share Area. Sandos is making a lot of money with tourism, surely they could shut the old area down and rebuild it. Highly do not recommend this resort .

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great Hotel

Very clean, service was great, ala carte restaurants were very good, Italian was amazing. Pool service was consistently great. Location of the pools were perfect, kids pool at one end of the resort, with a pool for everyone in the middle and the loud adult party pool at the other end of the resort, well planned out. Beach was good, great for long walks.....Walked into Puerto Moreles which was fantastic.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Wonderful home away from home in paradise!

The Ocean Coral and Turquesa is a stunning, vast resort situated on the ocean with a beautiful beach, 4 pools, many restaurants, coffee shop, nightly entertainment with fabulous dancers and attentive, friendly staff. The resort was very well maintained, clean and well lit in the evening. We would stay here again and enjoyed our honeymoon very much. Roberto and Jose were our attentive wait staff for our private honeymoon poolside dinner and made us feel so special and welcome! Thank you! My o [... read more]ne concern is that we did not know in advance that there was no elevator for guests (unless handicapped I assume). We were on the top floor and have some health issues that made it difficult at times. Our maid was hit and miss with the daily room maintenance and once our room was not made up at all until we called in the late afternoon. Not a big deal but slightly annoying. I have already recommended this resort to two friends looking to travel to the Mayan Riviera in February and March.

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Awesome Resort!

This resort was great! Very clean, great food, great entertainment, and fantastic staff! They were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely go back! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to vacation.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Nice Resort

Resort has been well designed, 4 pools for different ages and genres, restaurants in close proximity of each other for easy access. However, NO ELEVATORS working anywhere, too many stairs to lobby and rooms, some rooms are quite far from lobby, definitely NOT a resort for people with any type of physical handicap. A lot of walking on hard (either marble or terrazzo or granite) surfaces everywhere. Easy access to the beach and "sea" as they call it. Constantly very windy, making the water quite d [... read more]irty with sand and weeds, so not the best for swimming and not at all close to Cuban beaches, so we were very disappointed upon arriving. This Resort is one of the cleanest (everywhere) that I've seen, also the grounds are really well maintained and groomed. The Complex is completely surrounded by fencing as well as front gate with guard at all times, every vehicle must check in & out, making security a priority for their guests. Rooms are large, iron & board, safe, all included. However the small beverage fridge should be free of ice build-up for coolness, they don't realize it needs defrosting, so it warms up. Wifi is better in the "Privilege" area, but not bad elsewhere. Italian is the best restaurant, but closed one night a week, others over-rated. Overall, it was a wonderful week with my four adult children & their partners.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: 2nd More than sureal!

This is our second time at the Valentin Imperial Maya, The resort is beautiful, extremely well maintained, the service is excellent, and the food is above delicious...We will certainly be back next year. Entertainment was excellent, especially The Tenors...just amazing, we loved them!
