Ocean Riviera Paradise: Good Resort, Rocky Beach

Overall we had a pleasant stay here. Our room was always clean and it was very comfortable with a good view. The food was really good and the ice cream store on premises is a huge bonus. One down fall was the beach it was very short and rocky in the water.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Amazing resort

Very clean, staff friendly, food good with a wide variety. Enough activities but also relaxing enough that uou have to be doing anything. Family friendly, location is so awesome, right near a small town so you have a true local feel.

Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa: Gorgeous resort!!

hospitality was amazing, super friendly staff, very clean, beautiful property, tons of entertainment. We highly recommend golden parnassus, definitely going back!! Excellent variety of restaurants and buffets.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Beautiful Resort!

Very beautiful resort. Staff were fantastic, starting from the welcome to the wave goodbye. They made our trip worth while. Variety of shows to float everyone’s boat. I would 100% recommend Royalton to everyone, whether family or adults at the hideaway.

Riu Caribe Cancun: Riu Caribe

One week stay mid April 2019, all the staff was very helpful and friendly. The resort was very clean our room was more than we expected very clean, king bed and fully stocked fridge and refilled every day also had a huge balcony with 2 lounges, table and 2 regular chairs. Fantastic views cost a little extra for the ocean front upper floor but was well worth it. The restaurants were in my opinion ok, the buffet had a good variety of food. Sandos Cancun: Beautiful beach, alright resort.

The beach was beautiful--white sand, clear water, and comfortable cabanas in the sun all day. The pools were ice cold and in the shade most of the day because the sun was blocked by the neighbouring building after the noon hour. Service was mediocre at best, even with generous tips. Staff often confused orders. Drinks were significantly watered down (drinking all day, no buzz). Food was only alright, often luke warm and slightly lower quality that I would expect at a chain restaurant at hom [... read more]e. We did however love the teppanyaki restaurant. Our room was comfortable, but our "king" bed was really just two doubles pushed together. We had a large ocean view window that made up for a lack of balcony. The conceriege staff constantly asked us if we were married, living together, or just friends--as if it was rare for an unmarried couple to go on vacation together. Night time entertainment was lacking. A single activity, often started 30 min to an hour late and had very minimal turn out. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation because the beach (and weather) were so beautiful, but we likely won't return to Sandos Cancun again.

Grand Sunset Princess: Great Resort

The resort it's self for the amount of people on it were beautiful and super clean. The staff were friendly and always willing to go over and beyond. we stayed in one of the Villa's, the room its self was big and beautiful, our favorite part was the outdoor shower and the balcony facing the laguna, waking up in the morning to sit on your balcony was amazing. Because we stayed in the Villa we got our own private pool with our butler, we spent our week there as the other pools were very loud and [... read more] busy. The private pool area was quite and relaxing they had cabanas that you could reserve for the day and it was nice to get out of the sun sometimes, and they had enough lounge chair it you wanted to sit in the sun and relax, the workers would come by every so often to make sure that your drink was good and if you needed anything, everyday at 12:30 they would bring around some snacks, like sandwiches and chips and guacamole(which i had everyday). The buffet is nothing special, but they had something there for everyone. The la a carts were really good we ate at the Italian, steak house and tapenaki and they were all really good. On our last last day there, the guys decided to do a deep sea fishing tour, they had a lot of fun doing so and were about to bring the fish they caught back to the resort to cook, our consignor Israel went over and beyond to make sure that the guys got the fished to the cook quickly, as we were bringing outside fish into the resort to be cooked they needed to make sure that the fish was good to eat prior to cooking it, he made sure that the cook checked it and let us know if it was good to eat. They had prepped the fish with some fresh cut up vegetables. It was amazing how quickly he worked to make sure that we were able to eat that fresh fish. There isn't really anything I could complain about except for it is a really big resort and there is a lot of walking involved if you wanted to go to the beach. We didn't spend anytime at the beach as we were at the beginning of the resort and the beach was about 1km away, but it was also very windy at the beach. The only other thing that I was not impressed was there was a group of us that stayed at the Villas that week and the day of our departure we had requested a 5:30am wake up call and unfortunately not one of the 3 rooms got a wake up call. We were woken up by our bag boys at 6 am to come and collect our luggage. But other then that, the resort was amazing and I would recommend the resort to anyone as there was a little something for everyone there. Excellence Playa Mujeres: Top Notch Resort!

As usual, the room, service, and food were great - in general. We love this resort and after 25+ trips to the Carribean, this is the only resort I've EVER returned to (5 times now!). We've been to Sandals and Secrets and they don't compare to this resort. It truly is top notch! Our favourite restaurant is Basmati (Indian food) and Chez Isabelle (French). Swim up rooms are a must for us - so convenient! I highly recommend this resort, despite a few minor glitches to report though during ou [... read more]r week: 1) We arrived on April 11, 2019, and the resort was at full capacity so getting beds on the Excellence Club Beach was a 6:30am task for my hubby :). By 6:35am there were none left! This was the first time we'd experienced this. Usually, chairs are in abundance but not that week. Even the regular chairs on the Excellence Beach were completely taken by about 9am. 2) We had a swim up room in the Excellence Club in building #7. We had 3 different pool side concierges that week, 2 of which were "in training". The service level was mediocre in comparison to other visits to this resort (we always get this room type). We are used to the concierge coming over to our room as soon as he sees us on our deck in the morning to lay the towels on our sunbed. These gentlemen were 50% of the time, not in their tiki hut at all, or the other 50% of the time not paying attention (either on their phones, or looking down at something) so we had to go over and ask them repeatedly to "make our bed". This occurred several times during the week. We also left our wet towels at the end of our deck so they could pick them up and typically they would do so very quickly and replace wet towels on the bed mid-day. Not these fellows. They simply were not attentive like the previous 4 trips. We were constantly having to ask for towels/service from them. 3) Food at the new Magna was ok but needs some refining. Our "lobster vol au vent" pastry was so over-baked, it was hard like a rock and inedible. A la carte breakfast was just ok, nothing special enough to repeat. Service was slow. 4) The service at Toscana for dinner was horrendous. So slow it took over 2 hours to serve us a simple dinner. We thought perhaps it was just a fluke but our friends went there a few nights after us and the same thing happened to them. Service was awful and VERY slow. This restaurant needs to be under new management because someone doesn't know what they are doing (especially when you compare to other restaurants in the resort).

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great Time!!

The hotel and grounds are very clean. With the Flamingos, Peacocks and Inguinas the resort environment was amazing! Staff really take care of guest needs. The rooms were great. Food and drinks were good too for the most part. We had two a la carte meals during our stay. One was Asian, which was not our taste and the second was Steak night. Pablo was amazing! Overall experience was very good and I would return again! We had a group of nine and all of us had a great time!

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Great value

Recently stayed at this resort and found it very worth the cost compared to others I have tried.Rooms are comfortable and resort very clean.Food choices were plenty and good.Employees are very friendly and helpful

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Loved the resort

We were blown away by the welcoming lobby with the truly beautiful outdoor space. The staff were all friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Food was incredible, with lots of variety for everyone. Rooms were big with all the modern conveniences. Definitely coming back.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: It was a okay hotel

I did not like the resort at all, the rooms had bed bugs and they were really rude about it. The alcohol was shit. If we wanted good booze it was extra which I don’t get because it’s all inclusive. Horrible

Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa: Very good value Adults only

Very nice resort, rooms a bit dated but very clean and comfortable bed. Staff very friendly always going out of their way to help. Great location close to the airport. Beach was cleaned every morning with lots of water activities close by.

Occidental Cozumel: Great Resort

Wasn't sure what to expect. We were welcomed as soon as we got in with some punch. All staff extremely friendly and helpful. They all wanted to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Loved the rooms,clean, big, lots of water . No complaints on the food Lots of choices as I stay away from gluten and dairy. Al la carts were all delicious. Spend the day at the beach. Absolutely breathtaking. I honestly dont have anything negative to say. We'd return and recommend.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Quaint, quiet resort...

This resort is good for relaxing - not a lot of pool games/activities going on. It is small in size and very close to a private beach club. Lots of loungers with beverage service both at the pool and beach which is appreciated. Food variety good, but temperature of foods needs improving. Hotel is older and there are some improvements needed, but the grounds are beautiful and the staff is second to none. Would return!

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Lovely restort

Every area was so clean and well managed. Wished more staff spoke English but otherwise our stay was perfect. The food was very good but after a week was a bit monotonous. Great place for families . Surprised to find after buying american dollars they only wanted Canadian money because of the US president...

Riu Emerald Bay: Mediocre Resort

Staff were friendly but the resort was boring. The food was not good and lacked variety. The waiters are hard working as are the gardeners. Do not book excursions from Sunwing rep at the hotel. What a rip off as we paid for 2excursions and only received one excursion. Beach is rough. The night shows are average. Elevators are slow too. I most likely wont go back to this resort.

Riu Emerald Bay: Riu Emerald Mazatlan

This resort was average. I expect more from a Riu resort. The resort is very clean as well as the staff are very hard working and kind However, the pools were very cold and small All the pool lounges were saved before 7am so there was no where to sit. Too many floatation toys in the pool and most of all the food was mediocre. Nothing was true Mexican flavors. The Bamboo restaurant was better.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort

Everything was good we loved everything about the resort and we loved are room very nice we would recommend this resort to everyone. The beach was alright they do a good job on getting the seaweed out.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Love the beach

Really enjoyed our stay here. For a place with a smaller footprint then most of the resorts we’ve been this one had everything we wanted. No wristbands or reservations at the a la carte restaurants was great. Loved the beach as it was shallow with a sandy bottom and small rolling waves made swimming everyday feel safe. Proximity to Puerto Vallarta is good as we took the public bus in a couple of times for 20 pesos each way per person vs the $20 us cab ride each. They didn’t really want to g [... read more]ive us that info as they tried to persuade us to the cab that their buddy probably owns which seems to be the Mexican way. Only a couple of peddlars randomly on the beach which was a relief as you get tired of telling them no everywhere else you go. A week seems like the right amount as we had done everything and ate at all the restaurants enough was time to move on. Totally relaxing though.
