Melia Costa Rey: Fantastic trip!
We had an amazing trip here at the Pullman! By far the best resort I have been to! The staff are amazing - kind and fun, very efficient and helpful. The food was actually good, especially the a la cartes. Even the buffet was better than what I’ve had in Cuba before. Good options, even for a vegetarian. Definitely worth waiting in line for the omelettes in the morning and the pasta station for dinner. The rooms were clean (I didn’t see a single bug in my room). I heard there was issues wit [... read more]
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Very clean
Was very impressed with the cleanliness of this resort. Garbage cans were very prominent and guests and groundskeepers obviously used them. We were on the 2nd floor in a deluxe room and really enjoyed it. The beach area has many lounges and palapas. Our first week the beach was perfect and the second a lot of weeds came up after a big storm. Big cleanup job. At low tide you can walk and walk and walk on pristine sand sometimes up to your waist from one section to another but a great experi [... read more]
Resonance Blu Varadero: Superior choice
the resort was a superb the room was clean the room was fully stocked. The butler and all the staff were very accommodating. The resort was easy to navigate to all the pools and eating areas and the food was good for what they have to work .My husband and I would go back in a heart beat. Totally enjoyed our trip
Starfish Varadero: Bien
J'ai trouver qu'il m [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Definately not a 4 star resort, 3 at best, the pool in the picture is not from the melia marina
We booked the Melia Marina View Room, The level Our package included a private dining room/bar and 7 a la carte restaurants. The dining room meals were good, however, the drinks that were available in the bar were limited, far less than appeared on the drink menu. We went to the Chinese restaurant and it was the worst meal we have ever had The entire meal was precooked, and very small portions. For desert they served us ice cream, 70% melted on the plate. The swimming pool water was extremely [... read more]
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Fun times
We went to the Memories Caribe jan 19, 202 for a week. The resort was excellent our room was clean and sufficient. We particularly enjoyed the entertainment staff. Amazing talented people. The shows through the day and at night were were amazing. Volleyball at the beach was a blast, Michael coordinate s a challenging game. Resort had prompt start time for food and shows, we sometimes waited for clean beach towels, no big deal.we were a group of 8 and I got covered in bug bites despite my effo [... read more]
Sol Turquesa Beach: OK
I have been there 5 times. My view is that it has gone down hill in entertainment, and involvement of visitors who seem to be a much more laid back type. There was only real stage show and a 60's - 70's music night. There was also a beach party which we did not attend. When we first started going there was nightly entertainment of high quality. The beach was ok but not enough shaded areas. The pools were great but not used very much. The staff in the Romantica was the best and the food was great [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Our Cuba Cottage
Our second trip to what we now refer to as our Cuba Cottage. Wonderful place if you like sparse crowds, stunning beach, good food, excellent music entertainment, and a Rock Star staff. We have made many friends here and will return again. Built in 2004, it is one of the older resorts on Cayo Santa Maria, but it is spotlessly clean, and you are quickly made to feel welcome.
Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: This was a very nice resort
The hotel was excellent and the service amazing the food was good and the room was clean the beach was nice I would recommend this resort to every body and i already told my friend about it and wouldn't think twice on going back .
Sanctuary Cayo Largo: Beautiful Cabins by the Ocean
Spent 2 weeks at the Villa Bellarena with shared access to Bella Isla January of 2020, the rooms at Bellarena are amazing, cozy little wood cabins with tons of space. Staff are all wonderful people who go well beyond to help you with anything you need. The hotel no longer has a beach, it can be washed out for months at a time so it's a bit of walk to the next resort to find the beach. Food was the same every day the whole trip, if you've done any research you'll quickly discover that's the norm, [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Worst Resort I Ever Been To
I felt that the staff knew nothing and were very unhelpful. They were very rude and had attitude all the time. Anytime we asked for help or more information they didn't even know there stuff or own hotel. We asked how to get to another beach nearby and asked what time the bus returned and not even that they could tell us. We have been to cuba a few times and never had such poor service in our lives. Usually the people of cuba are very friendly and there are activities going on 24/7 everywhere ar [... read more]
Melia Internacional: Horrible food
The hotel was nice , clean beautiful view but the food was really bad , we ate the same S*** food for 7 days and the food was placed at the same location as always never changed places . I will never come back to this hotel. The food was hard and bad flavor. I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
Valentin Cayo Cruz: New beautiful resort
Since it is new, everything works, rooms are very clean, grounds are maintained very well, pools are great and so is the beach. This deserves the rating of 4*. What is not at that level is food. That would be 3* max. but that is so typical for Cuba. You will always find something good to eat, you just have to be creative. If food is the number one priority on your vacation, don't come to Cuba. But if you like a beautiful beach with fine white sand where you can walk for miles, great clean pool [... read more]
Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Cozy Resort
I like the fact it’s a smaller resort and not huge lineups for meals. Food especially meat has gotten better over the years in Cuba. The omelette and meat and pasta stations were the best choices for hot food as the rest was Luke warm. Bread is to die for. Rooms were clean. Service was good. Pools and beach were good. For the value would go back.
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: A lot for a little!
The resort features a beautiful beach, friendly staff and very down to earth place. It's a 3 star in Cuba so keep that in mind, but I really enjoyed myself. The newly renovated cafe was really good.
Los Delfines: Disappointment
I was 10 times in Cuba and 3rd time in this hotel. This year is first time I am disappointed. All week the hotel didn’t receive beach towels, no clean towels in the room. The selection of food was worse then ever before
Brisas Guardalavaca: nice resort
nice resort great workers and maids thought the fridge should have been stocked the other 7 places I stayed at was and had patios but this only had a foot patio but room was clean workers good lol and all other room safes you never had to pay $14 for a key to lock it like this one so some things good but the resort its self could use some work like safe and things nothing major
Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Very good resort!
This was the nicest resort we have been to. The lobby is beautiful and modern, the rooms are really nice, everything is very well kept and very clean from the grounds and pools to the washrooms! Every staff member we spoke to was extremely nice and very helpful and made sure you had everything you need and were all very approachable. We had absolutely no issues with anything! The food was great. They didn’t run out of anything that was noticeable to us. Overall this really is a great resort! [... read more]
Hotel Caracol: Good value, 3 1/2 to 4 hour transfer time from Holguin airport to hotel
Have been to the Caracol a couple of times and Playa St. Lucia many times. The Caracol is a nice hotel, good food, friendly staff. It was pretty quiet with an older crowd in comparison to the Mayanabo the same week which was quite rowdy. That beind said it was the worst bus transfer between airport and hotel. 3 1/2 hrs to hotel and almost 4 hrs back to airport on a road that had long sections of almost impassible pots holes (travelling at 5 kph for a good portion). Will not return via Holguin [... read more]
Melia Costa Rey: Great beach, but borderline starved
One of the nicest beaches I've ever been to. Airport close. Great staff. The food was awful though. We struggled to find things to eat and were quite ill half way through the weak. Strong drinks though lol
