Riu Republica: Amazing resort !

Beautiful area and beach with lots of big pools! Love the staff and food was good! Lots of options, great for all ages! Because the resort is so big and spaced out, you can pick the crowd you want to be around! “Starlin” at the buffet for a waiter was amazing and “Hanearo” at the Latin pool bar was so great!!! Would definitely recommend to go, and we would for sure return!!

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Friendly resort

The Hotel was very pleasant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice variety of food but food was barely warm. The beach was close by. The excursions were fun. Shop around for pricing on excursions. Average age of vacationers were 40- 65 years.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Superb grounds, very clean accommodations and good food!

We had a fantastic time at this large resort. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a safe and relaxing vacation. Lots to do, if you want to do anything or just simply relax. Loved the live outdoor music each night in the common square. The martinis were delicious and the service are gracious. We would love to go back!

Paradisus Punta Cana: Very nice resort

Beautiful grounds and pool setting with restaurants close to beach. clean and large rooms ,comfy pillows/ bed beach soft sand very clear water and warm of course excellent a la cart food, good service with a shout out to Willis at pool bar. however getting a coffee at lunch was not easy but a minor detail

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Great Vacation Spot for all age groups!

The grounds were spectacular and well maintained Room serviced, at least three times a day. Greeted upon and given a drink and cold towel after warm bus ride. I was disappointed, in our room size. Bathtub were outside, with no privacy to enjoy it. Also had to leave our clothes in our suitcase as there were no dresser drawers to put your clothes in. We were provided with extra hangers. So happy they were on staff when we were there. Thanks Wally. Great entertainment every night! Disappointed that not all restaurant were opened at every night, but happy to be able to use Onyx's. We were able to enjoy cuisines that I have never experienced before.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Great Vacation

We arrived January 30, heat and sun every day. The beach was amazing great for walking. The hotel is clean and bright we stayed in the cheaper rooms. I would suggest that if stairs are an issue not to book these rooms. There is no elevator. Food was the best I have had in the Domincan,lots to choose from , buffet was different every day. Paradisus Punta Cana: Relaxing week at the Paradisus

Returned from a very good week at the Paradisus with 3 other couples.We had no issues to stress about from the time we checked in, until the time we left as check in and out was quick and easy.The resort is quite large, so tram rides are sometimes a good option for getting around. There were no issues with getting chairs at either the beach or around the pool. The staff was all very friendly, especially Willis and the rest of the pool area bartenders and pool waiters. All a la carte restaurant s were very good, with the Mediterranean restaurant Ventos and the The Grille steakhouse being the best.The rooms are a good size and were cleaned and restocked on time every day. They are showing a little bit of age, but we did not spend much time in them any way.The ocean had clear water and soft, clean beaches with next to no seaweed on them. You could walk for miles in either direction.Our only minor disappointment was the buffet breakfast food. The bacon was very scarce and was very under cooked. The sausage was also slightly under cooked and was basically mini hot dogs.There were a lot of fresh fruits, cereals, pancakes and a egg cooking station in the buffet,so finding food was not a problem.All 4 couples said that they would return to the resort and recommend it to friends.

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Wonderful time and wonderful resort

My family of 3 stayed at the Iberostar Dominicana from Jan 30 to Feb 7th. Our second time at an Iberostar and we expected good quality and service. And we got it. This hotel/resort is always so clean and well kept. The staff are always working so hard to keep everyone happy, satisfied and not wanting for anything. They are sooo amazing and always have a smile on their faces. The beach is amazing and clean. The pools are similarly clean and well kept. We always found a place to sit or la [... read more]y down our stuff. I also have to say that all the bathrooms were always clean, functioning and well stocked with paper products.... The gardens are so wonderfully manicured and beautiful. We used the gym facilities and can't say enough of them. Everything was just top notch and I think we all had a great vacation. A shout out to Yera, Bruno Mars and all the entertainment group. They were always 'on' and always making sure everyone was enjoying themselves....Finally, the food was good and there was always variety. The only negative I would say is that there are vendors on the beach that keep wanting to sell stuff. But if you say no thank you, or ignore them, then they move on. We would definitely return to this place, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. Thank you to all at the Iberostar Dominicana.

L'extérieur de l'Hôtel est vraiment très bien entretenu. Dommage que ce n'est pas pour les chambres aussi. Il y a de la poussière partout, des caries du bois (rongeant la tête de lit), l'eau ne coule presque pas, etc. Donc, les chambres sont bien "fatiguées". Pour le reste, le service est superbe, le buffet est propre, la nourriture est bonne, l'extérieur est bien aménagé et très joli. Par contre, il y a bcp de circulation, les employés se promènent en scooter partout sur le site, [... read more] est cela est en peu fatiguant (ils passent par les petites chemins des voyageurs). Il faut toujours faire attention pour ne pas se faire passer dessus. Attention avec les petits aussi. Pour: Beau extérieur, bel aménagement, belles piscines, bcp de palmiers, buffet propre, nourriture bonne, personnel souriant... Contre: Intérieur des chambres horrible, bcp de circulation dans le campus (scooters, camionnettes), plage pas très propre (bcp de restes d'arbres, petites branches), le bracelet à la main est trop rigide (fait mal et grafigne tout le monde et nous même), le bracelet à la main sert à rien (juste pour nous distinguer des autres hôtels, ce n'est même pas une clé pour ouvrir notre chambre - n'a pas de chip - alors, pourquoi le porter et se grafigner?), le service de serviettes est bizarre (ils nous donnent 3 ou 4 cartes, ça dépends combien de personnes voyagent dans votre familles, pour les serviettes - tu apporte la carte, ils te donnent la serviette, sinon - pas de serviette; aussi, il faut pas la perdre; au lieu de bracelet avec chip à la main pour ouvrir la chambre, ils te donnent 2 cartes (que tu peut perdre), pas de wi-fi (si tu veut ton service wi-fi dans la chambre, ça coute 35 $ / 7 jours, ou 10 $/jour (l'internet est lent et on ne peut pas accéder à certains sites (boutiques, magasins, etc).

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: An Okay Resort

Staff were hit or miss - some courteous and polite, others very rude and abrasive. Hotel grounds generally pretty clean. Buffet was just okay - needed more vegetables and fresher food...a lot of it was dry and had been sitting for a long time. Also, staff were just okay there...sometimes we ate without someone even coming to give us water. Rooms weren’t great. Outdated, no where near as clean as they could be. Beds uncomfortable. Lots of ants. TV very small (we had an upgraded room - Superior  [... read more]Deluxe). Patio Door was broken and we had to wait to have it repaired. This was after switching rooms because the first one smelled horrible like a musty basement and our main door handle was broken. Toilet also broke in our room and took over an hour and a half to be repaired. A La Carte’s not too bad. Don’t get the hype we read over the Mediterranean (Mylos). Brazillian was fantastic (other then the salad bar was meh), Mexican okay. Pool very good. Lots of seats. Beach also good. Sometimes quite a bit of seaweed though. Didn’t like all the vendors at the resort and beach trying to sell you stuff or the lobby staff at check in...never experienced that so bad at any resort we’ve stayed at. Stores at lobby outrageously expensive...$6.00 USD for a can of Pringles for example. Okay place for the price. But wouldn’t stay here again. Stayed in La Romana years ago and resort and staff were much better. Definitely not a 4-5 star...3 is a better number for this resort.

Riu Republica: Enjoyed our stay

The resort is beautiful. It has very large, and there are many options as to which pool and atmosphere you prefer. There were all ages who went to this resort. Rooms were nice and clean with lots of space. Hotel staff when checking in were super helpful with accommodating our large group and moving rooms we could all be close to one another. We had great weather! Buffets were good but wasn’t overly impressed with the a la cartes. Transportation to and from resort to airport was great!

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Amazing family resort!

We just returned and can’t say enough good things about this resort. The staff is amazing, the resort is beautiful, so many activities (our kids are 7,5 and 18 months). Well kept resort, we were nervous of the hand foot and mouth reviews but we had no issues and didn’t see anyone there that did either. Food was great for everyone, including picky eaters! Ocean Blue and Sand: We had a great time !

We just got back Jan 2019 and both my husband and I were sick in bed vomitting for 12 hours but that can happen anywhere. Everything else was good. The beach is not great as the lounging area is built up and not exactly on the beach front, you can however easily walk the Bavaro Beach and swimming was great. I loved that the restaurants and entertainment area is away from the beach and sheltered from the wind. It made sitting out on the patios very enjoyable. We enjoyed all the restaurants. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing Resort.. We Loved it

The food was excellent and the entertainment. The grounds and pool areas were very clean There were a large assortment of shade areas This was our first time at this resort and will definitely visit again

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Outstanding Service and Staff!!!!!!!!!

The Iberostar Costa Dorada was an amazing experience. The resort was beautiful with very well groomed tress and plants. They had ground level lighting so you could clearly see where you were walking in the dark. The food was excellent and always available. The staff were very polite and very proficient. The pool and swim up bar was amazing and so was the bartender. There was always room around the pools and eating areas. There was no shortage of water anywhere on the resort. The only complaints  [... read more]we had on this vacation would be the pressure to attend the Iberostar club briefing and the outdated room.The room was dated and needs to be modernized. They pretty much chased us to attend the 90 min presentation about the club. It was only at the very end of the brief that they gave you actual information and pricing about the club. Unless you are avid travelers (3 or more times a year) the club is not worth the cost. Overall this resort was a 9/10 and easily 4 1/2 Stars. We totally look forward to staying here again in the future.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Great resort

Great resort! Small and everything with in walking distance! Adult only is great and not a frat party resort! Great for those wanting to relax! Animation team and bar tenders so friendly! Free wifi was great as well!

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Exceeded expectations

Just spent 2 weeks at Be Live Puerto Plata, very clean, nicely landscaped, easy to get around. All rooms are within 2 to 3 minute walk to beach, pool or bar. Buffet had a good variety of food, pasta station, fresh smoothies, lots of fruit, good coffee. Harvey like hamburgers at beach. All staff are friendly and attentive. As well, our Sunwing reps went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of when one member of our party fell sick.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Worst resort

I don’t think I’ll stay here again. Sick from the food and had a lot of water / plumbing issues. I’ll go back to D.R but I won’t stay at the same resort. The restaurants you all had to make reservations for and by the time figure that out everything was booked. It wasn’t the best but did enjoy the people I met lounging around the pool and soaking up some sun.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Awesome time

The grounds were well kept and beautiful with the glowing purple lights at home. The restaurants were all good. The Italian and French were my favourites. The ETeam staff were amazing. Always there to encourage you and approach you to participate or get up and dance. All staff were fabulous. Everyone was polite, respectful, and would go out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this resort. Always something going on for all ages. You can enjoy the party pool or the quiet pool. It’s the place to go for the holiday you want.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Fantastic and beautiful resort

The staff were amazingly friendly, the food was abundant and good. If someone needed to relax they even had a nice quiet spot. It was my daughter's first time in the south and she told me that she would go again. It was fantastic!
