Blau Natura Park Resort: Good value resort.

Over all the Blau Natura Park Resort was a very good resort. The staff excellent, the food was good and restaurant's very good. The rooms are dated but clean. Fridge was stocked each day by friendly staff.The grounds are beautifully kept with wildlife freely walking about. Night shows were pretty much what you get at any resort. This resort is small but not crowded, lots of chairs available at pool and beach. The pool was well kept, the beach beautiful and also not crowded. Riu Republica: Beautiful resort!

Lovely resort, rooms were very modern, grounds were well kept. The two pools were a nice feature as one was a party pool and one was a quiet pool. Restaurants and service was quite good. Beach area had plenty of loungers and cover when needed.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Awesome resort!

The Majestic Colonial is a beautiful resort. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing. The rooms were a bit dated but overall, very nice. The food was amazing. Buffet did not change much each day but the A La Carte restaurants were awesome. There were daily activities that we took part in that were very enjoyable. The animation staff was amazing. Very well maintained with lots of chairs and palapas. The pools were very nice as well but did need some updating. Bar service was excellent wherever we went with wine that is actually drinkable! Overall, an awesome experience.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Good resort

We stayed at this resort from nov 4-11. It rained almost everyday. The room was clean but the safe, which we had to pay $4 per day for didn't work. They fixed it once but then it broke again. The phone in the room didn't work properly. The crib was dirty. The food was good. The Garden grill was excellent, the Dominican a la cart wasn't great. The resort was very big so you would get around by trolly. The beach was excellent. The pool water seemed cloudy. All in all I would rate it a 3 [... read more].5 star and wouldn't return.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Less than expected - used to be great.

We were assigned a 2nd floor room when we requested ground floor. Second room had no working phones or TV and was dated. Took 4 days to get fixed. Staff was great and pool area clean and huge. Food 4 minus, a lot of restaurants closed and no easy way to find out what was open ahead of time. Golf course is good but pricey for carts. Very wet with all the rain.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: AMAZING STAFF

THE PLACE IS WONDERFUL, THE STAFF GOES OUT OF THEIR WAY TO PLEASE YOU, CLEAN AND SPACIOUS ROOM. FOOD IS AWESOME, FISH, SEA FOODS, STEAK, CHICKEN, FRUITS. VEGETABLES ETC EVERYTHING IS FRESH ANDS TASTY. MANY DIFFERENT SHOWS AT MANY DIFFERENT PLACES, THEIR IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. THE TRANSPORTATION ON THE SITE IS FAST AND THEIR IS A LOT OF THEM (NEVER WAITED MORE THEN 5 MINUTES). WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK TO BAHIA PRINCIPE AGAIN, THANK YOU!1

Now Garden Punta Cana: Spectacular Service!

Now Garden is a very nice resort. It's set apart from Now Larimar and offers (for the most part) peace and tranquility. For more action, just head down to Larimar. The service & staff at this resort were exceptional. We had a swimup room which gave us a small lawn area and direct access to the pool - loved every minute of it. And Pedro the bartender made frequent rounds right to our 'lawn' to make sure we always had drinks. The beach (accessed from Now Larimar) was stunning. Although both No [... read more]w Garden and Now Larimar are on the same resort, it's about a 4 minute walk between resorts, or you can jump on a golf cart, which ran every few minutes. The a la cart restaurants were good - some better than others, but all of the food was good. Our favs were the Grillhouse and the Mexican. Buffet was repetitive and didn't differ much between lunch and supper but always lots to choose from. The room service was a really nice touch and yummy! Now Garden offers a buffet breakfast (great omelette station!) an a la cart menu for lunch - also very good. The entertainment team was spectacular. Very talented, funny and engaging. And they worked non-stop throughout the day and evening. The beach party (with the fire show) was awesome, as was the circus night. We did have some issues with the room (hot tub not working, room temperature too cold) but these were quickly resolved with a phone call. A downside to the rooms is an open concept bathroom with swinging doors to the toilet and shower stalls. Not very private if travelling with anyone other than your spouse. There is a closet but no dressers/drawers to put clothing in - which would have been nice. The most disruptive part of the trip was the influx of weekend guests (from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon) who were quite loud and inundated the pool area and the swim up bar to the point where you couldn't get a seat. They also ran the halls at all hours and everything can be heard through the doors. I would recommend this hotel, and I would definitely return. The pros far outweighed the cons.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Good Family Vacation

went to this resort in Sept/16 with my daughter husband and 2 children, our 4th visit to a Dreams resort in Dominican and their 3rd visit as well to Dreams in Dominican Republic. we were accommodated with adjoining room which was wonderful and we were very grateful for. The bathroom in our room was shower only and honestly quite outdated otherwise room was great. The beach was not the calm clear water but having been there before we knew this in advance. The kids club was fabulous and our grand [... read more] children were well taken care of and we felt quite safe leaving them in their care they went above and beyond their duties to ensure the children were all having a memorable time. Food was great and resort was immaculate the only negative thing I could comment on was the water and our bathroom. I would recommend the Kids Club to any parent who had reservations about leaving their children with strangers, they all were amazing with the kids and Dreams should be very proud of their dedicated staff and workers as they truly are the heart of this resort.

Secrets Royal Beach: Secrets Royal in Punta Cana

The place is wonderful. The staff is great, The food is good. Overall an excellent Hotel to be referred to. However, we are snorkeling fans and unfortunately found that the water is way from being clear. We always travel this time of year and normally head to where the Ambar is in Punta Cana where we find the water is much clearer. Other than that all was excellent...Thanks for asking!!!!

Occidental Caribe: Better than expected !

Stayed @ the Barcelo Punta Cana from Oct22-29th My wife and I went there for a family wedding. We have been to Punta Cana many times and usually stay @ 5 star resorts.This resort was listed at 3-1/2 to 4 star so my exoectations were not high ! We were pleasantly surprised as the hotel turned out to be better than we expected.The rooms while on the small size are well kept with a very comfortable bed. The beach and pool areas were very good and the grounds beautiful and well kept. The food  [... read more]in the buffet was O.K. but a little on the bland side ( more spices required )abd sevice needed was sadly lacking. The a la carte restaurants were pretty good and had good meals at the French, Japanese & Italian retaurants. One complaint I had read about before going was that check in was very slow and that turned out to be true. They need to improve in that regard ! The service overall was O.K. and I would recommend trying to learn a couple of Spanish words, goes a long way to getting better service. Most of the staffs English is @ a minimum though we did meet some who were quite fluent. The hotel did an excellent job for the wedding day and a fun day was had by all as we danced under the stars on the beach after the ceremony & meal !! Wanted to mention that this resort is being taken over by the Occidental chain in December, so there was a lot of renovations being done on rooms/hotel. The noise bothered some people but you have to appreciate the improvements they are making. I would recommend this hotel for people not requiring 4-5 star treatment but a nice getaway !

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: Nice place

Amazing staff...food and drinks are awesome. Property seems a bit dated for a luxury 5 star but is not bad. Overall great experience and a fantastic holiday and we would highly recommend for people who want to visit

Occidental Caribe: Solid 3 star Hotel

Check in is a very slow process. Better at late arrivals. I would like to clarify the “Blocks” of the hotel. “Blocks” are sections, but all connected through 1 horseshoe shaped building. Wheelchair accessible. Although some elevators didn’t work, others did, So you can still get everywhere. Hotel has a great friendly staff. Very clean rooms and public washrooms throughout the resort. Our room was perfect, (Block 6/ 2nd floor) balcony facing the pool, pool bar and ocean,  [... read more]although others in our party weren’t so lucky. Some had mold in their room, some had broken shower heads, and some were placed on construction floors. Block 3 is above the buffet dining room, so quite noisy early mornings (6 am) preparing for breakfast. Food is ok, a little bland, but ok. Beef is quite tough! Stick to chicken, pork, and pasta. Breakfast was always amazing!!! Fantastic chocolate croissants, omelets, pancakes, French toast and fresh fruit. A la carte restaurants are not all opened daily, so try to go to the French, Japanese and Italian Restaurants. You are able to make your reservations daily. Reservation office opens at 7 am. Weekends the resort is opened to the locals, so it gets very busy! Try to stay away from The buffet on weekend dinners. Crazy busy!!! Drinks are not so great. House wine is absolutely AWFUL!!! Wine drinkers beware!!! You can purchase a decent bottle of wine ($40) No real juice other than cranberry juice. Orange, pineapple and fruit juices are a sort of powdered tang. Don’t expect to have yummy chill blended tropical drinks. They do serve Pina Coladas but from a pre-made mix slush machine. Cappuccinos are amazing!!! Very, very good!!! Pools are clean and well maintained. Doesn’t really have an adult pool, but the one without the swim up pool bar is quieter and more relaxing than the other. Beach is very nice with lots of lounge chairs available in the sun or the shade. We were here for a friend’s wedding. (54 guests) They did a fantastic job with all wedding preps, although most were at extra costs to the bride and groom. All in all, the resort is a good and solid 3 star. If you get a good deal on your trip, (around $1000) you will be happy, just don’t pay extra to upgrade because then you will be disappointed. Upgrades aren’t any better than regular. Some in our group paid almost ($1500.) and had the same as we did. But if you want a clean, friendly, and safe vacation at a reasonable price, then this is a great one. If you are looking for a 5 star, get pampered all week, white glove treatment, well, don’t come here.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Great Holiday

Just wanted to say that we really enjoyed this resort. (Oct 25-Nov 1) Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our butler Mercedes was awesome, she went over and above. I would recommend her to anyone. Food was good. Beach was great. Pools were nice. Overall it was a great week and would definitely go back again.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Pleasant, fun & relaxing

My husband and I arrived October 28 2016 and were checked in a bit slow but after we were taken to our room we had an enjoyable dinner in the buffet. The food at both buffets was always hot, fresh and tasty! Our room was basic but clean. The beach was amazing even on not so nice days. Both pools were maintained and clean the water was always pleasant never too cold. The staff for the most part were friendly and accommodating. However the only thing I did not like was how the locals came and stay [... read more]ed on the weekends, they took over the pool, the pool bar, the beach loungers etc.... I would go back but not for 8 days again, maybe a 5 day trip .

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Nice resort, minus concierge sales people

The resort itself is nice, the property very lush with vegetation and flowers. The service was hit and misd. The negative: we were harassed by the conciege/time share person the entire duration...the guy followed me to my room..that is highly inappropriate, this made me feel unsafe, and uncomfortable. I won't be returning to this resort ever.

TRS Turquesa: Super vacation!!!!

This resort did not disappoint!! The resort is generous with its hospitality. The staff is friendly and aim to please. The resort is well-maintained and clean. The food was exceptional at the buffets and specialty/theme dining that we attended. The beach was spectacular and offered sun or shade and plenty of space. The resort is adults only, the atmosphere is quite quiet....very pleasant.

The booking we made was a bit last minute, we booked around 7pm on Friday and left saturday at 6am. This caused some issues with the transportation to the hotel as we didn't get the voucher and information in time and noone had us on their list, when we were finally able to figure out who we were to travel with after a lot of waiting and confusing conversations we were on our way. Westjet seemed to have all of the right flight information. Overall found the resort to be good! The pool is amazing and spacious, everyone is friendly the beach is very close by, they have numerous bars and the buffet was decent! The only area of concern seemed to be vegetarian food for myself. The a la carte restaurants all have a meat menu so in advance (with 2 to 6 days notice) I picked my vegetarian meals off a special vegetarian menu which I thought was great! Fast forward to eating at the restaurants, when they were supposed to get a copy of the selections I made previously, every single restaurant had trouble locating the menu. The staff were very confused and the meals took longer than they should have to come out. Also, in addition to the delay, myself and my girlfriend who eats meat got our food at different times. Management did try to give us a beach dinner because of this but it ended up being rained out which was fine. They moved us into the main restaurant and forgot all about us, however. No one was their to serve us and the waiters in main restaurant just focused on their own tables. After a while we just got fed up and left. Once we told management, they gave us some souvenirs so we could see that they were trying to correct what had been done. Overall it was a good experience but there is some room for improvement.

We have no complaints about the hotel room (we had a deluxe family room - in block 3), it was spacious and met our needs. The property was clean and well laid out. The pool was great - spacious and clean. The food was great - the themed restaurants offered great variety and the main buffet always had something interesting. Staff were attentive and responded to requests well. My let downs came with the Beach and the Kid's club. -We saw Red Flags all of the 7 days we were there - not sur [... read more]e if it was due to the time of year, or the side of the island, but we missed out on any and all water activities and just being at the beach. -The kid's club was also disappointing. There is a water slide and play ground for 3-12 yr olds - no parents allowed. This means that we were not able to be with our kids and the times they were allowed to use those features were very limited. My girls (4 and 5 1/2 - were not thrilled and did not want to go back - we sent them there 3 times). Other children seemed to like it, so it just might not have been right for our girls. Overall we enjoyed our vacation - but 7 days in the pool was more than enough, and not what we had planned to do.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Nice Resort

The resort has a lot of good qualities. The food was amazing and a lot of detail in the presentation of it. Rooms were comfortable. The pool is the highlight of the resort for us. Negatives were the beach was very windy and red flagged 5 out of 7 days. It rained for a bit every day. By the end of the week everything felt damp. Take a couple of swim suits so you don't have to put a cold damp one back on the next day. Candles on all tables in the restaurants but the don't bother to light them. The only thing about the buffet(world cafe) was inconsistency with the table settings. Eg. Some days only 3 coffee cups at a table of 8 some of would have spoons and some didn't. We we go back? No, not to this Island. We might try another AMresort again but not in the Dominican.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: HUGE RESORT

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly a lot of Spanish speaking people at the resort and some of the staff did not know the greatest English so it was hard to get information sometimes but the resort was huge! Thank god there was a cart 24-7 to drive you around and I would STRONGLY Recommend the Japanese alacarte! So delicious!! The food at the buffet was very good as well. I would deffently go back
