Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Amazing vacation.

First time for us at Grand Bahia Principe San Juan and we really enjoyed the resort The resort is clean and the majority of staff are kind and friendly. We had a great time and didn’t want to leave. The beach was huge, private to the resort and clean. Every section of the resort had staff members ready to help you.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Had a fantastic time!

I traveled at the end of January 2019 to this hotel with my 23 year old daughter. It was a most relaxing vacation. The resort is small enough to walk easily from the rooms to the pool, food areas, and the beach. There was never a shortage of beach or pool chairs which was nice, but there are still those travelers who think its ok to leave towels on chairs and not come sit on them until 5 hours later! Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Our home away from home

Yes, we are repeat guests. Love this resort mostly for the awesome beach, price and the fact we can comfortably go across the street watch great baseball or walk in to town or to Sosua beach and vendors. The food is good and hot. Could use a bit more variety. I am sure we will be back! happy guest kathy

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Great Resort

Very nice resort but not suitable for Elderly or disabled very good food lots to do staff very good and plenty of staff did not get bothered by time shares which was good my room was in a bad spot not able to open curtain was right in front of where the time share people pick up there golf carts when we had concerns they were looked after immediately and not Dominican time lol we travelled with 14 in our group surprised by another 28 then the following week another 14 all in all had a great time [... read more] lots of shits and giggles

Riu Palace Macao: Absolutely Beautiful

The Riu Palace Macao is a beautiful hotel, from your first glimpse of the open and airy lobby until you reach your room and the views from your very private veranda. The Front Desk staff are very nice and informative and will help you with every inquiry and problem you may have during your stay. This is where you will ask for water for your room if you find there is none in your fridge. This is a quieter resort than what we are accustomed to staying at, which we really enjoyed. The shows i [... read more]n the evening are in an area that is away from the hotel far enough as to not keep you up at night if you aren't interested in being a participant. There are some activities going on around the pool during the day that you can join into and enjoy if you wish. The hotel has four a la carte dining rooms that you do not need to make a reservation at, as well as the buffet area. The food was very good at every place that we ate at during our stay. We didn't get to the steak house as it was always very full and lots of people waiting for a table, so I'm going to assume that the food is excellent there as well. The portions are big, which is great for a large appetite and also different from other a la carte resort restaurants that we have been to, you won't leave feeling hungry. The waiters are all very friendly and efficient. Some of them enjoy joking around and that's always good for a laugh. Everyone dresses up for Dinner, even at the buffet restaurant which was different for us, but I like to get dressed up so I enjoyed that as well. I noticed that there were a lot of people who liked to sit around the bar and lobby area in the evenings after Dinner and have drinks. This really isn't our thing but for those of you who enjoy socializing, you would have a good opportunity to do so at this hotel. We enjoy heading back to our hotel room and relaxing after Dinner. The rooms were very quiet and I don't think we heard our neighbours once. There is a lady who cleans your room, a gentleman who brings around the drink cart and a lady who brings towels to your room at night, as well as 24 hour room service that we tried one time. The food was good and the portions were more than what we needed. Bring lots of small bills for tipping. There is an in-room safe which is always an important safety feature for any resort. We had a bit of a problem opening it but it turns out that we had too much stuff in it and the door was being pushed out so it wouldn't open when we put in our code. So, helpful tip, don't overstuff your safe. I celebrated my 51st birthday while we were there, I had happy birthday sang to me twice, once on one of our excursions and once at the Japanese restaurant, as well as a very tasty birthday cake. The lady who made up the room decorated it, which was also a first for me. We usually travel south during mine and my spouses birthdays and this is the first time this has happened. They also gave me some gifts from the hotel. I believe a Punta Cana coffee cup, a little Riu Palace girl statue, some chocolates, a bottle of red wine, and a small bottle of mamauana alone with a birthday greeting card from the hotel. This made my day feel very special. The beach was amazing, beautiful soft white sand, gorgeous palm trees and very few beach vendors. The bar staff waited on you at the beach as well. The water was very warm and great for taking a dip. Lots of beach chairs, we never had a problem finding a place to sit back and enjoy the beach. All in all, one of the best beach experiences I've had so far at any of the resorts we've been to. If you walk way down the beach to the right of the hotel you will find a bunch of vendors, I wouldn't recommend going there. The prices were too high and they didn't really want to dicker at all. We bought a (what we were told) a hand carved wooden turtle which broke a leg in the luggage on the way home and it turned out to be cement of some kind. We are looking in to repairing it but I was very dissapointed as we paid $60 US for it. So, buyer beware. The place to pick up souvenirs is a bunch of little shops along a road just to the right of the hotel. The shop keepers are easy to dicker with and this is where we got the majority of our souvenirs. They also have a small pharmacy there for small things that you may need taken care of health wise. We didn't go to the Casino as we are not gamblers, but there is one in the hotel if that is your thing. The pools are beautiful and we did find that the beach chairs fill up faster here. We only went to the bar pool a couple of times but we enjoyed this pool very much. Something that we noticed and were happy about is that they use a heavy plastic, reusable cup for their drinks at this hotel, so no plastic garbage being thrown out. We enjoyed this resort very much, older more mature patrons made for a quieter, less party like atmosphere that we enjoyed.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: THE RESORT WAS VERY GOOD AS WAS THE BEACH AND POOL

Riu Republica: Good Time

Overall good resort. This was my second vacation here. The service improved greatly. Good selection of alcohol, friendly staff. I found housekeeping was not quite up to par. The steak house was disappointing, great buffet selection, Jerk chicken very good. They need to improve on the beef entrees.

Impressive Punta Cana: Spectacular resort

This resort is amazing, grounds are immaculate, buffet is awesome excellent variety of food all staff are happy and professional, love their jobs, they treat everybody equally. The nightly entertainment was awesome, if you want to shop go downtown prices are fair and alot better then on the resort, if you wanna go out shopping go to the entrance and turn left just a 5 min walk to shops,we did most our shopping in the grocery stores, alcohol and cigars are cheaper, if you prefer to shop on resor [... read more]t with the vendors, bargain hard cuz you can get better prices downtown. As for excursions we only did one which was the swimming with the stingrays and sharks which was pretty fun, bring your own snorkels, if you can buy a full face smorkle which are fantastic. This resort is definately a 4-5 star. We would definately go back and I highly recommend this resort.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: We were very pleased with the resort.

The amenities were great. While the rooms are obviously not new, they were well maintained. The only problems we encountered was with the bath tubs that we found to be difficult to get in and out of especially for my husband who has leg problems. Walk-in shower equipped rooms would be at great asset for disabled people. The food was always fresh and beautifully presented. The best part of this facility is it's staff. Riu Republica: Great Adult Resort

First time visitor to Rui Republica and hopefully not the last one, wife and I had a fabulous time at the resort and the weather was fantastic the hole week which helped the stay. The resort is well kept and clean throughout ,grounds are in great shape and the cleaning service in room were very good had no issues kept clean and liquor dispenser and fridge stacked daily . Resort is big if you are in the front its easier to get to activates and if in the back little walking required but plenty activities their also to keep you busy.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Pretty good, but I prefer Cuba

The entertainment was fabulous Staff were very friendly Food was only fair Went to a seafood restaurant & had severe diarrhea & vomiting almost as soon as I got back to my room After that I really didn't have much appetite

Impressive Punta Cana: Impressive Resort and Spa

As a repeat customer to this resort we could see that many improvements have been made and are ongoing. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and willing to go extra steps for us. The resort was very clean. Lots of lounge chairs at pools and beach. Swimming in the ocean wasn’t the greatest but they were and are working on improving it.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Senator Puerto Plata

This resort is a gem in the making. When the renovations are completed, it will be one of the most beautiful holiday destinations that I have been in. The food was good and the coffee, ice cream and bakery shops are an added bonus.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Fabulous Resort!

Just returned from the Be Live Marian in Puerto Plata. I have to say I was very impressed with it. The resort is on the smaller side which is great,everything was within walking distance. The staff was amazing from the front lobby, to the bartender’s, to the restaurant servers, to the cleaning staff. Nothing was a problem for any of them! They were great. We went and upgraded to the VIP ADULT Section, which was closer to the beach,it was well worth the extra. They give you your beach towels, housecoats, slippers, filled up your fridge everyday with 4 bottles of pop, 2 Pepsi, 2 7Up, 4 small cans of Coors Light, and 2 bottles of Water. Also when in the VIP Section they leave you a bottle of Champagne and 2 champagne glasses.They also leave coffee everyday. They change your towels every evening,and turn down your bed! We will definitely go back to this resort. The Buffet Restaurant was good, you also have a VIP Section in the Buffett. We have no complaints on the food, the only Al-Carte Restaurant that we went to was Mylos, it was Mediterranean. It was my husband’s birthday that evening and the staff at Mylos brought out a small dessert with candles and sang Happy Birthday! That was nice of them. Again the staff there were fantastic! Also just wanted to say that the Sunwing Rep Heriberto who was in the front lobby all week was just amazing, and Caroline from Guest Services. As I said they helped with any questions you had. Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Great Resort!

We loved everything about this resort. Although it is still not completely renovated, it was great. There were 2 a la carte restaurants open. There is 2 more coming soon. The Steak house was excellent also the Italian. The buffet was also very good. The staff was wonderful in every aspect of the resort. Always attentive to your needs and making sure you enjoyed your vacation. The wifi was excellent. The beds and pillows comfy and new. The beach is not huge, but we are pool people and the pool area was great.

Great job on the renovation beds were nice and comfortable only down fall was we ran out of hot water around 5:00 every night the steak house was awsome but they under cook the beacon so we went down to the playabachata for breakfast We definitely be going back again just loved this place

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great time

The grounds were spotless. The staff was very friendly. The King room was very nice. Spacious and clean. The resort was beautiful , the pools, the beach. We had an excellent time. Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Trip

Trip went good for the first two days then things got out of had fighting in halls smoke in resort from someone burning garbage people have to go to hospital from food .managers saying nobody told them they had to shut the fire alarms off I could not see the end of hall people were wondering why the alarms didn't go off .Iam getting tests done now by my dr the workers waiters and waitresses were wonderful I've been to the Bahia Príncipe 7 times there won't be number 8 has soon we arrived the t [... read more]ravel rep said don't go to mangers if you problem they won't do nothing you know there's been problems when you are told that overall not a 5star maybe a 3 star
