Grand Lucayan Breakers Cay: Very disorganized!
Excellent beach! Stayed in brand new section - Lighthouse Point - nice rooms. We weren't allowed to eat or be served at all bars and restaurants. Under staffed and staff very confused on opening hours of restaurants and general information on the hotel. No entertainment at night - pretty boring. Little variety with food selection. We were overcharged on our final bill and had to fight it at the front desk at checkout. Nothing exciting for New Years - had to go to the marketplace across the stree [... read more]
Memories Grand Bahama: Best Resort by far
Mama Bee: colorina arcoiris vasquez Trip Advisor review: I loved the way the Resort was set-up, fast check-in/out even just for non-Diamond Club Member, great flow, great food, great beach, amazing pool design, and great Staff especially the Entertainers such as Mama Bee, Jose, Valentina, Natalie, the Italian Lady (sorry for forgetting the name) and ofcourse the great music at the Prop Bar - the Karaoke nights were such a great idea to release all the stress which could've been so much greater [... read more]
Grand Lucayan Breakers Cay: TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT
This hotel offers many packages & they confused staff & guests. The management is extremely poor & changes their policies day to day. We purchased our package ($2200 all inclusive) a month be4 our trip which it included 8 restaurants and free Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi was breaking off 2 days be4 our arrival & had to purchase almost $12/day. The 2nd day, 2 restaurants were not available for Al/In guests. The Surcharge ($25/person) for the Churchill's restaurant was mandatory. They didn't have any activiti [... read more]
Pelican Bay: Pleasant experience.
The hotel was very enjoyable. Clean, 3 pools were nice and hot tub at end of the day was really nice. The little ferry to the beach was quick and fun and bright you to paradise. The beaches were amazing. We rented bikes for $15 per day from the hotel and discovered more amazing beaches including Banana Bay and Fortuna Beach where we could snorkel off the beach. Water was amazing and sand so fine and white. Wow! People were pretty friendly although the market shopping was high pressure and not pl [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: great resort
Went to this resort with my two children 9 and 5, the rooms were adequate, a bit dated, did not like the carpet in the rooms as opposed to tile or something else, balcony's were great for an ocean view, hotel needs a bit of work, but the staff was excellent, food was great, room service was great, pool was really good, gets a little crowded but can handle it, over all a great vacation, beach was a bit noisy with vendors as well but I expect that, just say no and they are fine with that! great va [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Good resort for price paid
Hotel was fairly decent for the amount paid. Hotel rooms were very clean and quite up to date. Food was fine and location of hotel was excellent. Only drawbacks were the elevators as they kept breaking down and at times they only had 1 going and you had to wait for anout 5-10 minutes to get on one that was jammed with about 15 people. Being located on the 11 th floor, it's pretty hard to go up and down stairs. Secondly was trying to get reservations at one of the 3 specialty restaurants. We wait [... read more]
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Excellent resort!
I had an amazing experience at this resort! Friendly staff, a variety of tasty food and awesome beaches. I would certainly recommend this hotel to my friends. The weather was also excellent at that time during the winter holidays.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Rui -- not up their standards
Sadly, I expect the Rui to be consistent everywhere. The people and the food were great, however, the rooms were not. The floors were carpeted and very dirty. I found I had to wear shoes all the time just to keep my feet clean. GROSS!! The rooms need an overhaul. The staff were nice but they cannot be blamed for the resort. The showers at pool side just spit out water. The beach is disappearing.
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Good pre-Christmas get-a-way
I don't typically write reviews, but I thought this hotel deserved one. We got exactly what we paid for and had a great time for a great price from Tripcentral. We would stay at this hotel again if we got a good deal.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Old but great resort! Amazing staff!
We simply enjoyed our stay here and found the staff to be amazing. It is an older hotel, but that wasn't a problem at all. Our room was good with an Ocean view, spacious and clean with carpet floors and king bed which was very comfortable to sleep on. The beach was amazing but had nothing to do with the hotel, however the beach was literally a 2 minute walk down from the hotel which was very convenient. All food amenities were within the hotel itself and did not have to travel outside to other l [... read more]
Breezes Bahamas: Excellent beach location ~ hotel not so much.
Food was very good and lots of variety. We had a good time but the hotel did have a moldy smell in the rooms as well as the piano bar. What really needs to be addressed by management as they have some very unhappy staff who are borderline rude - bartenders (main bar area) It's a shame as everyone else in the hotel is trying really hard but the hotel itself needs upgrading to compete with other hotels. Overall it was a good vacation despite the rain. Experience was positive, but the outdated acc [... read more]
Memories Grand Bahama: Reviews were accurate!!
Very disappointing trip right from the minute we arrived. We had booked an ocean front suite with the diamond club. Upon arrival, our room was not ready so they put us in a room that they said had a little debris outside! That was a shock, when we opened the curtains, there was a dumpster outside our room and the first floor balcony was taped off. As well, there was construction on the floor above us so we listened to jack hammers all afternoon. We got our new room the following day at 4 even th [... read more]
Breezes Bahamas: Great getaway
I have read a lot of negative reviews but I have been to this resort 5 times. So yes, it is an older resort and some things are dated. However, they have been doing upgrades on the resort constantly. That being said, the rooms are always spotless. The staff are excellent. Friendly and always ready to assist. The food is great and everything is accessible. They have a great beach and nightly activities. The newer resorts tend to be high rises and it takes a while to get around. I find the resort [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great experience even in the rain
The food was amazing along with the staff. My only suggestion would be to NOT stay on the 15th floor as only one elevator goes up there and we found house keeping took a long time to clean that floor. I will say the view is amazing from the higher floors though. Also we did find that the gym equipment did need some updating as some of them had rust on them. It did rain for 2 days while we were there and the staff tried to have things for you to do which was much appreciated. Word of advice we go [... read more]
Sandals Emerald Bay: Excellent Resort
This is a beautiful and very well kept resort. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is very good with plenty of options of where to eat. The beaches are amazing, some of the best in the world. If you have a bucket list this spot should be on it!
Memories Grand Bahama: not bad
Overall, we got what we paid for. The food improved as the week went on, the beach was great, the service was not the best. The most annoying thing about this resort was the harassment from the Diamond Club people, it never ended and was extremely annoying!
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Fair resort, air conditioning way too cold inside.
Beach was very shallow, and many red flag days. Pool was small, but lots of chairs. Buffet food was never hot, tepid at most. A la cartes were good except for the Japanese. Staff was wonderful, except for front desk. We were not leaving till 7pm and had to be out of our rooms by noon.
The Royal at Atlantis: Amazing Vacation!
Returning in Feb, do not listen to any bad reviews. Do go prepared to spend quite alot on food or pack plenty of snacks. Beautiful resort, wonderful staff. So much to do (casino, pools, waterpark, the dig) and see. Best vacation so far.
Breezes Bahamas: Could Be Better
I have been to Breezes many times over the years and for the most part been very satisfied. On my last trip in November I was disappointed in a number of things. The rooms are adequate but dated. The housekeeping team were great and the room nicely cleaned each day. The shower door however leaked water all over the floor and the handle on the shower fell off when I turned it on. Lighting in the room is very dim and needs to be improved. Walls are very thin so you have to hope for quiet neighbour [... read more]
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Good but needs some upgrades
Overall the resort is nice. The staff are friendly. The food is really good for an all inclusive, the a-la-carte restaurants I recommend to try. My favourite is the Italian restaurant even though the decor is dated. Also love the beach although I could do without the vendors. What needs improvement most of all though are the rooms
