Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Love this resort will go back

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. All of the ala carte restaurants were very good. The French Restaurant and Steak house were both so good we went again. Staff is very friendly and outgoing, small resort so you can walk everywhere. will definitely go back again

Dreams Huatulco: Dreams

Excellent seafood, decent vines, clean area. Friendly people servicing my needs. The best part is the climate, you can trust (considering the time of season). Warm and clean water, Unfortunately very strong undercurrent to enjoy a safe swimming. Not far away from the airport.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Dreams Punta Cana

We returned to Punta Cana after travelling elsewhere for the past 10 years. Chose Dreams Punta Cana because of our satisfaction with several other Dreams resort stays. Resort is showing it's age, but everything in our room (4314) worked well. Lots of water pressure and hot water. Comfortable bed. Housekeeping was hit and miss on towels and face cloths. Only after we were approached by customer service by the pool one day and asked about our stay, and mentionning the towel/face cloth minor issue  [... read more]did we have them for the rest of our stay. Grounds are immaculate and nice and lush with several different types of flora. Service overall was very good. Few instances at a bar where people were waiting and a person would walk up and get asked by the bartender what they wanted right away and get served. Big tipper ? Food and service was very good at all a la cartes. From what we remember, the beef has improved immensely. The hamburgers and gyros were delicious. One day on the beach they were BBQing chicken and pork chops. Most delicious and tender pork chops I have ever eaten ! Family resort - we were there over Easter and lots of kids around but lots for everyone to do and a huge pool so never an issue. People hoarding the free floaties ARE an issue. If everyone gave them up after their little float around the pool then everyone would get a chance. Saw lots lying on 4-6 crisscrossed, and when asked politely for one, would be told they were being used. Will take our own (and saw lots doing that) next time. Also the towel issue is not enforced although they state security will remove towels if no one shows up after 15 mins. Basically these same issues (rude-inconsiderate guests) are at every resort...... Nice beach but not Bavaro white sand beach. Very clean, no seaweed. Nice to wak on for several miles in either direction. No timeshare issues although we didn't turn our paper key in for resort credits. Spa was OK. Had a side by side 80 min massage (good) which included a water journey ($35 value-series of hot/cold water/steam treatments) Other resort spas were nicer. They would accompany you on the different steps and time you. Here the steps and times are posted on a board and you have to keep checking and guess on the times. Some of the showers/equipment need repairs. Had share privlege at Now Onyx which is a 5 min cab ride. Went and walked around this brand new resort and had dinner/drinks at their Italian restaurant. Very good food and service. Then spent some time at their beach party. Vegetation not established yet, lots of concrete. Should be very nice in the next 5-10 years. Didn't check out their rooms. Weather for the week was sun/cloud/rain mix. But still very warm and humid. Windy the whole week. If you can find a deal, this resort is a good value.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Good

Grounds were beautiful, sand is so soft, I loved the food and atmosphere of the Italian restaurant (Portofino (live music 2 nights/week)), the buffet was mediocre. I loved that none of the workers were pushy and the poolside waiters had precision timing with drinks. I disliked all the screaming and splashing children in the pools. Most of the children stayed in the main (warmer) pool, so I was furthest away at the infinity (coldest) pool and I still had to move several times every day to avoid t [... read more]he screaming and splashing. Very frustrating when the parents don't care about their children disturbing the vacation of others. My tropical view from my room was still beautiful but my bed smelt incredibly mildewey. My mother had an ocean view room, with no mildew smell. Maybe it had something to do with how much sun she had streaming into her room. Every time I showered, water would leak into my toilet room, and my shower water never got warm, so I just showered every evening, opposed to morning. I don't believe my mother had these issues in the other building with the ocean views. The elevators broke down in both buildings a couple times and I had to climb the stairs to my 7th level room. I enjoyed watching the Falcon (with his handler) scare all the scavenger birds away at meal times. Honestly, I thought this resort would be a tad more on the conservative side beside there is no swim up bar and no drinks are allowed in the pools, so it was hard for me to get past the screaming and splashing children in the pools.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Great stay!

This resort is small. I loved the idea of no bracelets or reservations. Pools stayed open till 11. The beach is small lots of seaweed. The chairs on the beach are booked by 7am which is a downer. Food was great. Rooms were clean staff treated you well.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: AWESOME!!!

My wife and I spent our honeymoon this April/17 at the Dreams Palm Beach Resort in PuntaCana Dominican Republic. This place was awesome. The service was exceptional and the cleanliness of the entire resort was unbelievable, right from your room to the beach. The food and beverages were top notch.The view and surroundings were incredible. The people were awesome. The service we received from our travel agent, Carole Williams was fantastic. Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: What an amazing week!

We stayed here march 28-April 4 Our trip was amazing the service was outstanding. Yea we had 40 min wait for room service but no different than anywhere else I've been too. Rooms were amazing amenities were amazing and staff was always willing to serve with a smile. We tipped all the servers $1 and tipped our bar tender at the pool $5 at the start of the day and continued to bring drinks all day long. Food was best I have had yet in Mexico, dinners were yummy and well served. Netflix works great and you can order a bunch of different pillows Pools get warm - got no less than 80. Get up early for a towel directly beside the pool (again same as any other resort I have been to) Only negative is night life was blah. Disco had my group of 6 and no one else lol. Highly recommend the bike ride as it was AMAZING got to pet wild monkeys and parrots (only tip required) We stayed in ocean view room (8509) high vaulted ceilings with couch and jacuzzi in the balcony than upgraded to ocean front swim 7225 and it has an incredible view and beautiful pool

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Dreams Dominicus La Romana

Overall good resort. On the smaller size than most, but enjoyed that as its only a few minutes of walking from lobby to beach. Nice size rooms, needs some maintenance which the resort is taking care of. Beach & Pools were great. Food was ok, nothing special. I would return to this resort in the future.

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Excellent 2 week Vacation

Hotel dated but very clean. Staff were extremely friendly and provided excellent customer service. Food was fantastic at buffet and the a l'Carte restaurants. Beach was gorgeous and right there soon as you walked out of the hotel. Swam in the ocean everyday. Enjoyed yoga daily and water aerobics. Room service every morning 730 am sharp -yes, always exactly on time!! And so easy to order (the evening before, using ensuite ipad!) Impressive service. Beach was very, very nice, and....once you passed by Secrets(next door)......... endless white sand beach with no resorts ! Windy though, so remember the return walk-into the wind- ha, ha. (just take an extra cervesa with you) The grounds and landscaping at this resort are perfect-beautiful. I guess the new era of "boutique hotels/resorts" has also hit Mexico! - miss the vibrant /bright "mexican colours" like we've seen in past! And yes, I miss the beach vendors -where you could get a couple of Tshirts,and a coverup for $7. Rather than the resort store - wanted $25US - for one ,,,,,no bartering ! Oh, and $21CDN for bag of chips!!!! And be sure and bring lots of sunscreen, pills, bandaids etc - no shopping at all except for the mega overpriced store - We are not big or fussy eaters so I dont want to comment too much on the restaurants, none were really anything spectacular, dont know why they dont have an Italian one (although there is one at Secrets.)

This new and amazing resort was a DREAM to go to!! The rooms are great and beds are comfortable. A really nice perk to have Pringles and M&M's to snack on. The pressure of the water for the shower was great, actually didn't take long to rinse out the shampoo. The view from the balcony in our room was special, we go there to see the ocean and it was nice to see it first thing in the morning. They supply you with everything you need; shampoo, body lotion, soap, razor, SPF, tooth paste and even a t [... read more]ooth brush!! You can actually leave home with just your clothes and everything will be there. I love that you don't have to booked in advance for "a la carte" restaurant. The longest we waited was 15 minutes and that was for the Japanese (which is the most popular). ALL the drinks were great (even the red wine was good) and the servers were exceptionally friendly. Every time I turned around I had another drink without even asking................lol. If you want to be lazy, it is the place to go; they serve you on the beach, at the pool and even undo your bed for you to go to bed!! The grounds are very clean and nice. This is a new resort so all the plants and several palm trees are still small but it will be beautiful in a few more years. The beach is long which is nice to take long walks. Several pools on the resort and the infinity pool was to my opinion the best (love looking at the ocean). The food was extremely good and you don't leave hungry. The only small thing that I can say is that they had no peanut butter.........but really who cares about that?? :) Dolce which is the ice parlor had the best cappuccinos and lattes. I also loved the fact that they opened at 6am because I'm an early riser so I would take a walk and grab a fresh baked good and cappuccino.................YUMMY!! Another great perk they had was the unlimited use of beach towels. I don't have anything negative to say about this resort, they have done an excellent job. I know why they call it "DREAMS"..........it truly is!!

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Amazing resort

The Dreams Playa Mujeres was excellent. The grounds were clean and staff were very friendly. Food was excellent, lots of verity with having access to Secrets. The entertainment was great esp Mexican night. It was nice having bands play around pool during the day as well as in the evening. We are beach people, it was windy so seaweed, the grounds people worked hard to keep it clean. Great beach to walk. The golf course was great, beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks.

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Nice and clean

Everything was great the grounds looked beautiful and the dining rooms were good food. We wish the resort staff told us about the Mosquitos upon arrival after 5:30pm it would of been nice.the wine and cocktails were great. We loved Elvis the pool waiter

First time ever being to Mexico. This resort beautiful. Our room was stunning & the view was truly breathtaking. Ocean view was something else. The food was delicious! I reported daily on social media and to my loved ones back home at how wonderful this resort was. I got to also experience the spa. Stunning rooms and service was great. This truly was a very memorable experience I had with my mom. Although our vacation came to an end a few days before due to mom taking ill, the care the  [... read more]doctor & concierge took to help us was something I've never experienced ever. The kindness and support that was given from the dr & concierge while dealing with mom heading to a hospital was something I'd never experience before. I had checked ourselves out a day early since my mom was hospitalized and just the extra care the concierge & bell boys took was a memory I will never forget. I was even left with a "lunch box" since I was heading out at dinner time. Thank you for making this truly a Dream Come True for us.

This is a beautiful resort. Even more beautiful than the pictures. Very clean. staff is wonderful and will go all out to serve you. Great entertainment. Grounds and pool areas are immaculate. Would definitely go back.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Excellent trip!!!

Amazing time at this resort! I loved how clean the restaurants, the lobby and the washrooms were. Clean washrooms are very important and I am very satisfied! I would go back to this resort again and have already started planning my next trip. Everything was awesome down to the amazing friendly staffs and service and of course the tasty food! Thank you dreams for making my anniversary voyage memorable!

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Great Resort!!!

I really enjoyed my stay and felt very relaxed and safe. The staff at the hotel were friendly and always had a smile. Love the beach as it was a 2 min walk from our room. Access to swimming pools, restaurants and beach is very close no matter what room you are in. The entertainment team was great loved Hector very friendly. House keeping staff did a great job cleaning rooms. Excellent room service food was great!! No complaints thumbs up! Can't wait to go back.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Excellent Family Resort

Thanks to trip central, we were able to travel to Riviera Maya and stay at DREAMS Puerto Aventuras. This is an excellent family resort. The pool and the beach are right next to each other. The beach area was private, clean, and super relaxing. The resort offered lots of fun activities. Their kids club was amazing. The evening shows were mostly great. The rooms were very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and caring. The only con to this resort was the food was bland.

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Beautiful resort but terrible bugs!!!

The grounds are beautifully maintained and the pictures on line do not do it justice. The pools are very nice with plenty of room and no chair issues. The beach is definitely not Punta Cana and the ocean is not safe unless you want to swim with sting rays and jelly fish. It would be nice if this hotel offered nightly entertainment. Having live music in the hotel lobby does not cut it for 6 days. The 1 Panamian show held on Saturday along with a themed buffet was good but not enough for the w [... read more]eek. I wish there was more information provided about the nasty bugs. The hotel did provide bug wipes on the first day to repel the bugs but we needed to continuously make requests for more as well as restocking of the fridge, robes and fresh towels. Needless to say for this resort being rated 4.5 to 5 I would not rate it more than a 4

Dreams Huatulco: Fabulous resort

My family of 4 just returned from Dreams resort in Huatulco. Weather was perfect, sunny and 30 everyday. The resort was great, loved the fact of no wristband and no reservations needed at the a la carte restaurants. Food was very good, accommodated gluten free allergy well. The concierge will provide a note to give to restaurant for ease of communication. Restaurants were well maintained and clean. My 14yr old was happy to take his basketball to use on the courts, basketball hoops without nets [... read more] was disappointing for him. It is a minor thing but is something could be easily fixed by the hotel. Exercise room was well equipped and clean. Massage and hydrotherapy at Spa was fabulous. Missing Ping pong paddles and balls during the week were frustrating for my kids - this also seems like an easy and inexpensive fix to have extras on hand. Drink service on beach and around pools made up for the placement of bars at either end of resort. The coffee bar was amazing serving not only coffee but smoothies with lots of yummy desserts. Strong recommendation to take Pesos instead of US dollars. We have traveled to many places and found some of the staff not overly friendly to English speaking guests at this resort. Saw manarays right on beach in front of hotel which was exciting. Highly recommend boat/snorkle tour - saw dolphins, sea turtles and humpback whales which was definitely the highlight of our trip! Also took taxi to Copalita ruins and hired a guide which was an interesting experience. Only a 15 min cab ride from the hotel.
