Secrets St James: Spectacular resort, absolutely beautiful :-)

The hotel and service were superb! Not having to make reservations for the restaurants was so nice and there was always availability, rarely had to wait and the food was fantastic with lots of variety for all. Not having to wear a wrist band at the resort, no cards for pool/beach towels was a bonus. There are plenty of loungers & shade umbrellas, no need to save them (in fact it is frowned upon to save the chairs) The little things make a resort what it is! Secrets St James: amazing room and food

everything was excellent.The food was amazing.The beach was clean.The enterament was good.The people were great.Lots of fun meeting new friends.The jerk chicken was amazing.The staff and servers were all great.They sure know how to welcome guests.

Secrets St James: Best resort I have stayed at !

The hotel was well kept, the rooms were awesome and the beach was right there !! Room service was included and the food was delicious. Lots of options even gluten free! My boyfriend was very happy about that ! Everyone welcomes you home .. Nice touch ! I would go back no problem :)

Secrets St James: Spectacular

Everything was great from the staff, to the facility to the food, to the activities. Thoroughly enjoyed 2 staff in particular, Leo and Baby Boi. The water sports were plentiful and carefully monitored.

This hotel was fabulous! A real gem in Montego Bay. 15 minute drive from the airport and secured gate for safety. It was also great to have 9 restaurants to choose to eat dinner at rather than a buffet style. There were 4 pools and several little inlets that you could lay at on the beach. The rooms were larger than normal with a full sitting area, AMAZING king size bed and a free sitting tub that you could soak in with your loved one and watch tv at the same time. Toilet was also separate so consider the room to be extremely private no matter what you are doing. The staff were super friendly and nobody bothered you unless you invited them to. Great place to stay and I would honestly book another trip there in a heartbeat! Enjoy yourself to those of you who travel there in the future.

Secrets St James: Absolutely beautiful resort. Wonderful staff.

The restaurants were delicious. No reservations needed. The beds around the pool are very comfortable. The rooms are very well kept and it is wonderful to have your own balcony to sit out on in the morning to drink your coffee.

Secrets St James: Secret St. James, Jamaica was amazing.

This is the first time we were in Jamaica and the experience was absolutely great. We showed up and were well looked after. Check in was a breeze. Going to our room we had our bags delivered so after getting situated we explored the resort. Walking around the grass, trees and other greenery were well maintained. No garbage or eye-sores anywhere to be seen. We made our way to the beach which was free from rocks and other forms of debris which made it very nice on the feet. The water was clean and [... read more] clear and very refreshing to swim in. After swimming in the ocean, we moved to the pool which was like the ocean, refreshing. The pool was always clean with no flowers, plants, leaves or beach sand. There were floating mats available to relax on and towels readily available to dry off with or to lay on over the beach chairs. The rooms were fantastic and room service was in every day to make the bed, change the towels if necessary and refill the fridge. Then in the evening we had turn down service which made for slipping into bed really nice after a day on the beach. There were 5 restaurants, 2 poolside restaurants and a burger shack. The food in all were extremely delicious, believe me, I sampled all venues more than once. There were lots of games and contests through out the week to stay busy with as well as nightly entertainment from different bands and circus performers. Also there were movies playing every night outside in the common square under the starlight. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They all seemed to be having good days, and if they weren't, you couldn't tell. I liked the fact that the beach was private and you didn't have any of the annoying, in your face, harass you till you buy something or tell them off merchants trying to sell you over prices stuff. You could actually enjoy yourself on the beach without this worry. There was staff there to help you with setting up excursions if you chose. Nothing is perfect, as with this trip, there was really only one thing that stood out as an issue. 3 days into our vacation a leak appeared between the frosted glass partition separating the shower from the toilet area. We told the front desk about this but in the remaining 4 days, the problem was never fixed. The leak was that bad that a large puddle would form even after 2 - 3 minutes that stretched all the way to the toiled. This meant wet feet/socks/shoes. It was to the point we had to keep putting towels down so our feet wouldn't continually be wet. Outside of the 4/5 for "Rooms", everything was a 5/5. I would definitely go again.

Secrets St James: Fantastic Time at Secrets Spa Resort Jamaica

A group of 73 people stayed May 9-16, 2015 at Secrets Spa Resort St. James Montego Bay. The resorts grounds are immaculate, the rooms are huge and kept clean & the bar fridge always stocked. The food was very good with lots of it. No one can ever complain about the food or the drinks. The staff were extremely friendly - the Bar Pool guy Leo was Outstanding- always brought us drinks & an amazing guy all around. (Don't ever lose Leo) . Secrets St James: Outstanding resort!!

The resort was amazing. The service was prompt and all the staff were very friendly. Lots and activities included. Snorkelling was great. Food was over the top. I loved the French restaurant the best. Loved every minute.

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Great Holiday

Loved everything about this resort. The service was best we have ever had at an all inclusive. It was our 3rd time to Mexico and definitely our favourite resort. First adults only and definetly the way to go. Food: Enjoyed every meal and only ate at buffet about 3 or 4 times as there are so many other options. Beach: We are definetly beach people and we had no issues. Water was beautiful once you stepped over some seaweed. Hardly any rocks and yes not a lot of sand but we are there for the water. Drinks: never had to wait for a drink always served beach and poolside promptly. Loved the chocolate martinis at night lobby bar and the mojitos at pool were our favourites .

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Fabulous resort!

The only thing that lacked was the beach due to seaweed,algae,etc. The room was beautiful,cool and very clean.The restaurants were all amazing and presentation of food impressive.The gym was state-of-the-art with top notch equipment.Service on the resort was outstanding.Pools lovely with choices of privacy or fun.Entertainment is nice.

Secrets Huatulco: Beautiful Beach, Resort was Hit and Miss

We travel extensively in the US and Mexico and have been all down the Mayan and West coast of Mexico but hadn't been to Huatulco since 2008. We absolutely love the area and will go back soon. Our check in went well and the room was fine (advertised as oceanfront but it is not, we did have a lovely view of the ocean though). Most of our dinners were very good, breakfast was not as good as the Secrets Capri in the Mayan but there was enough choice. Lunches were hit and miss. We were comparing this [... read more] resort to the Secrets Capri we visited last fall and to be honest we were disappointed. One of the real positives at the Capri was the lobby bar - quiet, intimate with a piano player in the background. We could not find a quiet place in the evening for a drink at the Secrets Huatulco. We finally went to a restaurant and ordered dessert one night just to find a quiet place to enjoy a glass of wine. The Italian, French and Asian Restaurants offered the best dinners and we really enjoyed the Tepenyaki table at Spice. We had fabulous service from Maradeli at the beach, and good service most of the time at dinner. We found some of the bar staff aloof and we would stand and wait for quite some time while they chatted with each other or a regular. If a friend was looking for a place to party and loved glass and steel décor I would recommend this resort. We are looking for a fun place with great service and food that has Mexican flavor. Secrets Huatulco did not meet our expectations. For the price we expected better and will look at a different resort the next time we travel to Huatulco.

Secrets The Vine Cancun: Very high end, but lacks Mexico flavor

The whole place is very stylish and organized, very Americanized. Clean, good food, real drinks, the beach has very soft sand and without rocks. If you are looking for a vacation that feels like you never left Canada or the States, this is the place for you. I gave it a very low value for the buck for a very personal reason, ie this was not what I was looking for. I want a laid back resort, where I can grab food from the buffet on my way to the room, I want the pools open all night, I want to li [... read more]sten to salsa music at breakfast, lunch and dinner. This hotel was too sophisticated for my taste, I would recommend it to people who like being spoiled, but I would personally choose a more local-flavoured resort.

Secrets Huatulco: Contemporary Resort with Guaranteed Warm Weather

The resort is relatively new & very modern, in keeping with the Secrets tradition. Spacious rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable and every room has a view of the ocean, which you can't say that for many other resorts! Staff are friendly and welcoming, although the bar service (hotel & pool area) and pool-side beverage wait staff needs improvements. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. Secrets St James: Trip to remember....

This is a very nice resort with well kept grounds & very polite & friendly helpful staff. Beach & the water was the best ever. Lots of shade & chairs on beach & by the pool. Food was wonderful with good choices for everyone. Rooms are very comfortable & clean.

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: nice resort

Our vacation to Secret Capri was very nice. The rooms are ok but we ended up with two double beds and had to have them pushed together. We couldn't enjoy the beach since the red flag was out and the beach has been washed away due to the hurricane. Food and staff were amazing!! We went to visit a sister resort and we were charge $100 US for a taxi. The resort was only 8 miles down the road. We mentioned this to the hotel staff but they didn't seem concerned. Secrets The Vine Cancun: Down a star

It's a good resort but God I hate to say that but it's true. The food has dropped and the consistances are no longer there. They have stopped providing the top shelf service that I enjoyed 2 years age. Not all but about 50% of the staff are sub par. I pay more and I want more. Please management if you read this go back to day one with all the care in everything from wrapping all your bathroom face clothes up to food quality. I truly would like it to be "our pleasure " again

Secrets Huatulco: Stayed at many hotels.......this one ROCKS

The resort was beautiful,staff went above and beyond...Rooms were awesome!, All rooms were oceanfront. Very relaxed hotel to be staying at . Total enjoyment. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to experience this resort!

Secrets Huatulco: Pretty much paradise!

We travelled to Secrets Huatulco from April 11-18, 2015. We arrived and were treated to cool towels to freshen up and a nice cold drink. I would say that their check in process may need to be re-vamped but alas we had arrived. Our room was on the second floor and had a great view of the ocean. The room was exceptionally clean and very spacious. The room amenities were great even without opting for the preferred guest package. (although there's not much privacy when using the toilet) The restaurants were fantastic and we especially loved the fact that no reservations were required unless you want the teppanyaki at Spice. One factor to consider os that there isn't much discretion on their dress code. They will serve you, however, if the guys try to go with nice sandals or some nice shorts, the staff will sit you for dinner on the terrace. (No A/C haha). The beach is breath-taking and extremely private, although the sand is very coarse and gets brutally hot. The views are amazing. Take the time and get to the spa, the hydrotherapy session booked along with a couples massage, you walk out feeling like a puddle, so relaxing. This resort is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues since it's built basically on the side of a cliff, there is a lot of walking. The beach and pools are a long way from the main lobby and restaurants if mobility is a concern. All the staff were very friendly and attentive, the resort should be proud of their staff members. Although we may not be back to this resort, as I think we'd like to visit other Secrets, I would still recommend it, but I'll never say never. The place felt like a little piece of paradise.

Secrets Royal Beach: Good 1st Experience

This hotel had beautiful grounds, well maintained however I thought the preferred pool to be a little dirty (black mold) in grout. The rooms were very nice but could use more lighting in the bathroom. The food was very good but I didn't like that smoking was permitted at the buffet area outside. The preferred beach area could be improved, more palapa and nicer chairs. Overall, this was a nice resort and we would probably return.
